I'm looking forward to getting my shit together enough to finally put proper effort into getting the D&D AU going. I wanted to have a project with some longevity to help keep Suletta Sundays alive. @red-the-royal has been so kind as to be a sounding board and let me babble about it for like a month and came up with the working title of the AU.

There's a lot more going on but we have:

- Miorine the abjuration Wizard with a spot of [redacted], likely a half-elf.

"Please please! I haven't done anything to you why are you doing this?!" The man spat some blood onto the desk his head was just slammed against "pathetic" the voice said

"You can't even fend off a woman half your size" a stab to his chest had him screaming again making the woman roll her eyes "It's a good thing this room is soundproof because you're screaming like such a little bitch" she kicked him down to the floor watching the blood pour out of the multiple stab wounds on his body.

"Now before you die" kneeling down to the bloodied man he tried moving away but the grip on his leg prevented much movement "I need you to tell your boss it was the scarlet witch who killed you, okay? She needs to know it was me"

"Oh she'll know! I-I'll make sure so she'll catch you and kill you" he thought it sounded threatening and it was so funny to the redhead because that's exactly what she wanted "I'm counting on it, now you've got about 45 minutes left until you completely bleed out, keep your strength" she fished out his phone from his pocket sending a text to his boss

"She'll be here in 10 minutes, it's been a pleasure, thank you for being so cooperative" she left him with a swift kick to the stomach making him scream out in pain "now you have 30 minutes"

"Jarvis!" You burst through the door to your office seeing the man lay still groaning in pain "who did this?!" You knelt down trying to stop the bleeding but it was no use he had nearly bled out but a few whispered words were all he managed out "Scarl-scarlet Wit-witch"

"Is that who did this?!"

"Y-yes" he suddenly went limp, the light leaving his eyes and you dropped him to the floor standing up and pacing around the room "how did they get in?! Where was my security?!" You were pissed off clearly but even more so at your security, why did they let this murderer into the building?

"Y/n!" Natasha bursting through the door brought you out of your thoughts nearly tripping over the man's lifeless body "what the fuck happened?!"

"My right hand man was murdered in my fucking office" your voice was above a whisper trying to control your anger which was getting hard to do "the scarlet witch"

Nat didn't hear you "who?"

"Some bitch called the Scarlet witch! She killed him, I want to know everything about her, tell Tony to get on it" you stepped over your dead friend and sat at your desk looking through some papers

"Er...I know you don't like showing much emotion to the men around here because of this feminist thing going on but a man is dead" the Russian was cautious approaching your desk knowing how impulsive you were, her broken shoulder was a testament to that.

You sighed throwing the papers to the floor "I just-I knew this was going to happen, that stupid note I got the other day literally said 'I'll kill someone close to you to show much I love you' I ignored it because it sounded ridiculous, I'm a fucking idiot"

"Okay" she stood behind you and started to massage your shoulders even when you tried to pull away you were pulled back against the chair "let me help you relax, yeah okay Jarvis is dead and will need moving soon because in a few days he'll start to smell, but hey, least it wasn't me right?"

You were quiet, a little too long for Nat's liking so she gripped your shoulders harshly making you wince "ouch! Fine just stop i'm glad it's not you laying dead and emptied of blood on the floor in front of me"

She smiled and relaxed her grip returning to the nice massage she was doing "thank you" she said sweetly remaining silent as she continued her massage

"Do you want to go home?" She whispered to you when she saw that your eyes were dropping, you nodded and let the woman pick you up in a bridal carry which made you giggle "such a strong Russian mob assistant"

"You're such a brat I don't know why I put up with you"

You shrugged "because I'm the best and the only friend/sex partner who puts up with your bullshit"

Nat rolled her eyes but agreed "yeah I guess, you're still a brat though, what are we doing about him?"

Your eyes snapped to the floor realising the whole reason you were here in the first place, the murder of your right hand man, great you'd need to find a new one now

"Call Bucky to take him away, luckily he didn't have a family so there's no funeral needed" was it harsh? Yes, but you didn't need to hassle right now "I get it, okay I'll call Bucky later, now come on let's get you home my sweet little ice princess"

"Never and I mean never say that to me again, in fact put me down you've made everything weird and I feel uncomfortable" you pretty much jumped out of her arms falling to the floor

"I thought you loved baby talk" she laughed watching you scramble off of the floor "shut up Natalia"

You arrived at your apartment after telling Bucky about the murder and picking up some burgers since you hadn't eaten in forever, however your small amount of happiness was short lived when you saw the front door with a note on it signed by 'The Scarlet Witch'

"Are you gonna read it?" Nat peered over your shoulder while you were deciding what to do, you sighed and snatched the note opening it

"A beautiful soul like yourself shouldn't be beating yourself up over the man who didn't even respect you, please know that I killed him out of love for you, I've watched you for months and my infatuation only grows with each passing minute, you need respect and loyalty which is something only I can give you, maybe one day in person I can do that"

"She sounds psychotic" Nat shuddered pushing past you opening the door and laying the food out on the side, she fell onto the couch where no doubt she would stay the rest of the night.

You however and for some sick reason were still reading and re-reading the note tracing your fingertips over the kiss mark she left and talking to yourself "a little cat and mouse chase never hurt anyone right?"

Scarlet Witch titled the knife around her fingers admiring the present she bought for you, would you accept the gift? Maybe you'd also twirl it around your fingers or maybe you'd run the blade across your tongue when it's covered in the blood from your victims, either way she was excited to find out

"Oh moya krasavista if only you were here, I'd carve you up for myself, leave pretty marks all over your body and listen to the soft whimpers that would leave your pretty lips" she had started tracing the knife along her own neck and then past her chest imagining it was your hands doing it but before her thoughts could go any further she stopped herself "no, no, just a few more of her men, need to stay focused before I can start enjoying myself a little more"

She put the knife down onto a picture of you she took secretly when you were in the park, you looked so beautiful in her eyes, sat all alone on a bench in the park eyes closed so in your own head you didn't notice her with the camera, so cute and vulnerable. God she couldn't wait until the day you both met, how sweet it would be.

okay. man. it's been a rough couple of days and so far the immediate fires seem to have cooled off for now. we're not still dealing with the aftershocks and some shit stirrers, but that's another topic i might get to later. (this got long so i'm putting this in a whole other reblog and under a cut)

falseeyed has good videos on the subject, though doesn't cover all the nonsense that's been going on twitter right now as he's relatively reputable for not dealing with gossip. khyo has talked gossip, but may use inflammatory words to describe the situation. this is what i've been seeing thus far.

roughly a month ago, the niji en ex talent selen tatsuki has posted an mv and cover of the song "last cup of coffee" written by lilypichu. i'm not sure when it was taken down by management, but roughly within the next 24 hours it had been privated by management, and selen had tweeted out that management privated the video and to repost it because so many dragoons had worked hard on it. if i recall correctly, she had gone silent soon after this tweet for a month. the silence was only broken by a tweet of selen saying that she was the hospital for an accident. she also tweeted out she was out of the hospital, and thanked everyone for their concern.

eventually, dragoons were worried for her wellbeing since her tweet about leaving the hospital was the last tweet they've seen from her. #whereisselen was trending on twitter for a couple of days, with dragoons asking just for a health update.

meanwhile, during this silence, selen on her past live account dokibird had been active, though she too also went quiet for a spell until she finally broke her silence on february 5th, saying she would not be silenced, and explained that she was being bullied from within and that lead to her stay at the hospital for an attempt. she then went to say she would return to that account.

a couple of hours prior, nijisanji english posted a lengthy termination notice, claiming that she did not follow correct copyright procedures and as a result, damaged the company's reputation. this went over as well as a lead balloon. here is the statement. this is a thread about why the statement is ho horrifically bad at what it does.

the other problem is that, in the statement nijisanji english had posted was how they inplicitly stated that the bullying came from the other livers. almost IMMEDIATELY set off a witch hunt, where fans were harassing enna and millie for one innocuous tweet millie had made out of concern wrt the "last cup of coffee" removal debacle, and enna for an out of context clip someone took of her membership stream.

because of when niji english posted this, there were parts of the world that had no clue. selen/doki herself didn't know until a friend told her. the wording of the jp statement explicitly throws the livers under the bus. this is a thread in japanese explaining the language difference between the two statements and why en fans are upset (you will have to use a translation tool to understand this if you do not speak japanese).

many en livers took temporary breaks from social media in light of the sudden news; vantacrow had to continue his birthday stream even in light of the news. many livers also were silent, luca kaneshiro being chief among them (the liver i closely follow). livers also had streams they were continuing to stream at a normal time. it was a trainwreck.

furthermore, some fake leaked screenshots were posted, claiming that aster was the bully, having also bullied scarle. this is ironic, as aster's personality doesn't seem to be the type to bully others. this was also proven fake, and aster and scarle both tweeted matching tweets, likely in solidarity.

the alleged leaker of these fake screenshots was luca kaneshiro, and a couple of other shit also popped up with him. an ex mod claimed he abused her once he got into nijisanji, having known him in his past life. i believe the same person who posted these allegations also posted in the nijisanji subreddit. the post was later deleted by the user, and the user deleted their account.

the problem with these allegations, however, is that there is evidence dating back to a previous life of hers where she did groomed a 16 year old by doing erp in vrchat. this was, allegedly, luca's past life. she later posted screenshots in order to prove the allegations. take what you will with the thread with screenshots. this is her initial post on the matter.

(personal opinion: i don't believe what raziel says because why would she bring this up now when the trainwreck of niji en combusting is prime on everyone's minds? i smell someone trying to put gas on a fire and drag someone who is a victim of the niji bullshit through the mud. but i digress.)

so far, however, in spite of all the drama, dokibird is doing excellently. i can't say the same for the state of niji en.

Wow.

So much has happened since our last post. There’s so much to document that it may take some time and a few posts. But today we are starting with ex-Coven member, Jessicka Addams.

We’re sure she needs no introduction, but Jessicka Addams is the singer of Jack Off Jill and Scarling (apparently people knew them in the 90s), artist and ex BFF of Lindsey Way (once part of the self-proclaimed Coven). Here’s a quick guide to the bitches witches of the ‘Coven’:

A couple of years ago, we reported on the online stalking, bullying and doxing that the Coven have been conducting for around 10 years.

(We would recommend reading that post first before going any further with this one).

In the post, we disclosed that the Coven had/have many fake Twitter accounts which they use to bully teenage fans. One account that we focussed on was @CourtneyThug who harassed fans throughout 2011 and beyond.

One teenager, @kcthelegend (aka @SarahxSlayer) who was targeted by this account was a Lindsey fan:

 However, after one day questioning Jessicka’s use of mental health terms, she became a target for a new Twitter (which conveniently appeared), known as @CourtneyThug. Below, you can see tweets where Sarah questioned Jessicka’s classifications of mental health as she appeared to use it as a slur:

And here are the tweets where Sarah was begging @CourtneyThug to leave her alone and bury the hatchet:

We knew it had to be someone from the Coven who had created this account to bully Sarah (and others) because the Coven’s hanger-ons would interact with their fake accounts. For example, Jennifer Emil, who took promo photos for Jessicka and Lindsey’s art show, was “giggling uncontrollably” at @CourtneyThug’s bullying ways:

In our previous post about the Coven’s bullying, we speculated that @CourtneyThug was Lindsey’s account, made to stick up for her witchy friend, Jessicka.

However, recent events where @kcthelegend (Sarah) was trying to get closure on the bullying ordeal at the hands of @CourtneyThug have revealed that Jessicka was the perpetrator and creator of the account:

While we may have been wrong about the creator of the account, these screenshots show that Lindsey was very much aware of the account and yet did nothing to stop its bullying of HER FANS. And, as we established, @kcthelegend/Sarah was a Lindsey fan (or she surely would have been blocked by @lynzway?) and therefore did not send Lindsey abuse. Also, notice Lindsey mentions Charlie? Why is she so obsessed with that girl?

So, while Lindsey may not have been the one slapping the keyboard, she was aware of Jessicka “““sticking up”““ for her and did NOTHING about it. In fact, she kept it a secret for 9 years.

Reading back through Jessicka and Lindsey’s messages, it’s nice to see that Jessicka found her “insult skills” again...

Since this has happened, Jessicka has (rightly) received questions and criticisms of her past behaviour on Twitter. However, despite the overwhelming evidence, she continues to deny everything (on all of her accounts):

At the same time as denying that she had anything to do with the bullying, she (because we all know she uses her husband’s account) *kind of* admits to fighting with teenagers online BUT only because she was “““manipulated”““ into it:

Reminder: @kcthelegend was attacked by @CourtneyThug (aka Jessicka) for questioning Jessicka’s use of a mental health disorder as a slur NOT for saying anything to Lindsey.

It’s not the first time she’s done it either. Remember when Chantal “““manipulated”““ her into confronting Mark Ryden’s wife about him being “in love” with her? Major cringe:

Everyone has done such a good job of asking Jessicka about her bullying past that she had to call in a super fan from her Facebook “““support group”““ (where all they do is bitch about people) to call some fans cunts etc (the worst of his tweets have been removed by Twitter):

We all know about Jessicka’s unsavoury past and allegations of incidents with minors, if not visit @glasshousesxx​ for more information.

This, coupled with her being exposed as a bully is what got #JessickaAddamsIsOverParty trending on Twitter (well done guys!). Although, as established, she has a penchant for slurs (remember her using mental health slurs to attack fans as mentioned earlier in this post?) so it may actually be her recent use of the word ‘f*ggot’ that has caused the latest backlash. She’s deleted her original tweet, but here she is defending her use of the word:

Her personal Twitter account has since gone on a blocking spree before going private. However, she is still spouting her lies and abuse on @scarling​, @XtianAddams, @houseofaddams and @JOJ_official (and possibly more fake accounts).

I’ve got some expansion on all the tags I’ve requested below, though if you want to just get started feel free to ignore all that; some of them are distinctly longer than others, but don’t worry, just because I didn’t use as many words for any given prompt doesn’t mean I want it any less!

Over the course of the story we learn plenty of things about the world and about their magic system; we learn a lot less about specific cultural things that aren’t directly relevant to the plot, and that includes folklore and literature—they have novels, we know that much, but that’s about it.  So tell me more!

For all that the novel tells us about many different spells, we never really get to see the mechanics of spellcasting, or the underlying form of the mana—tell me how it works!  And there’s also the fact that when you know the spell better you can cut parts out; how does that work in combination with all of this?

WB: Ikosian as spell language: how comprehension     affects outcome (Mother of Learning)

Unless I’ve embarrassingly forgotten how canon actually goes, they use Ikosian (possibly a more specific dialect? I don’t remember, I’m sorry) for their incantations, but iirc they don’t speak that day to day, and even if they do not everyone does—so, you know, how does comprehension of the incantation affect the outcome of the spell?

WB: Oral Traditions (Mother of Learning)

If we don’t get much of literature, we get less of the oral traditions of… well, anywhere, tbh.  So tell me more there!  If you’re looking for something more specific, I’d love to hear about witch, Khusky, morlock, or shifter traditions, but really anything would be great.

WB: the development of unstructured magic and     shaping exercises (Mother of Learning)

We know that way back in the past, human magic users were less adept with unstructured magic; now, if they want to be, they can be very good indeed with it.  How did we get from Point A to Point B?  How did that develop, who discovered all this?

There’s very little to be heard about the Winter Mountains in canon; all we really know is that the eagle shifters flew off there, and the place is Very Dangerous.  So… what are they like? How are the eagle shifters doing out there? What else lives there?

We don’t see a whole lot of traditional spellcasting that actually works—mostly we see Rhianna’s attempts, which tend not to go all that well, lol.  Other magic we see is primarily from people who know what they’re doing and aren’t explaining things in detail.  Show me some that actually works!  How is it different for schoolchildren and old archmages?  What are the rules and mechanics—they don’t make sense to Rhianna, but clearly some things work and some things don’t, so there’s something going on there at least.

Again, we don’t see a lot of Eldra society—we see a few characters outside of their social group, and the one meeting thing, but not a whole lot of their day- to-day life.  What’s it like?  What’s the role of men in their society; we know they don’t do magic, so what do they do?

  WB: Essence and the Trades (Farwalker's     Quest)

In some ways, Essence—or at least how it’s presented in relation to humans—seems kind of like an inborn specific magical talent, but in other ways it isn’t; Zeke’s tree talks to him, and then later the stones, but the tree talks to Ariel too, if only a little.  Scarl was a Storian before he was a Finder; Ariel’s feet drag her where she needs to go, but she can also learn the basics of Finding and could have been a Healtouch if she’d not messed up the plants.  So how closely are they tied together, Essence and the Trades? How much of an affinity do you need? How much can you make up for lack of affinity with desire and skill?

WB: Folklore and Fairytales     (Farwalker's Quest)

We know a fair amount about the history of this world as people know it, but less about their folklore and fairytales—they have trees that talk and telling darts and Essence and ghosts, they definitely have folklore about those, or other things too.  Do they tell children stories of what lies outside the village? Do they have spirits or Good People who may or may not actually exist?  Who tells these stories—is this still a Storian’s job, or is it the purview of anyone who knows them?  Did there used to be more, before the Forgetting?

Misha’s dead, has clearly been dead for quite some time, and he can do a weird assortment of things—can other ghosts do them? He’s the only one we really see, so we don’t know if he’s special or not. And how common are ghosts anyway—how do they come to be?  What’s up with them, overall?

WB: how Tree-Singer Abbey came     to be (Farwalker's Quest)

Clearly, Tree-Singer Abbey is very old.  If I had to guess, I would say it must have been made either before the Blind War or right after the sight came back—but most likely, given that it contains the Vault, it’s from before.  But Essence, as far as the characters know, wasn’t discovered until afterwards; nor were the Trades.  So who built this abbey, up there in the mountains, with all the trees? Why build it there in the way they did? Was it never widely known that it was also the Vault, or was that forgotten somewhere along the way?

…so.  What is up with the trees, anyway, and have they always been this way, or did the used to be normal trees?  How sentient are they; how much can they move; what are they like, especially among each other?  Zeke’s tree tries to catch him, so we know they can move on their own; is that typical? Can they do it whenever they want, or only under duress?  Idk man, I just want to know more about the trees, y’know?

Based on canon events, I can't fully consider it as such--so as long as you keep the surface elements more or less the same, no matter what the underlying justification for them is we'll be good. Is your explanation Aliens Did It? sweet, go for it. or anything else in that vein. this world is your oyster.

Okay.  Okay. So.  Most of this book’s worldbuilding is plausible, you know?  If not real-world plausible, at least future scifi dystopia plausible, right?  But. The word thing.  There is no reasonable connection as far as I can see between the genetic condition of masked chimeras and having sudden, unexplained epiphanies about the meanings of words—since the relevant aspects of language are arbitrary, and Darci doesn’t have any particularly detailed knowledge of Modern English (being herself presumably a speaker of Future English, although I have to assume that Future English is surprisingly similar to Modern English given the time scale since the poetry fragments she’s reading don’t seem to have needed any translation for her to understand them, which would generally not be the case with Modern vs Old English—and that is the time scale we’re dealing with here—anyway, let’s move on), there’s no way for her to come up with this?  So please, just, explain how all this works to me?

Really don’t feel you need to stay within the scifi world conventions here lol, especially since this element pretty much… doesn’t.

WB: disability in the Bio     Union (Star Split)

We don’t see much of how disability works here—Darci doesn’t seem to consider herself disabled, and there’s no other character who could really be interpreted as such.  Given how very eugenicist the Bio Union is, I have to wonder how they deal with disabilities they can’t engineer out of existence—tell me how it works!

WB: divergence/difference     between Genhant and Original dialects and mannerisms (Star Split)

So we can see the effects of a long-term social separation here; the dialects used by Genhants and Originals seem fairly different.  Darci observes that Originals’ grammar “might not be as good” but obviously that’s her perspective, being a kid who speaks the prestige dialect; the grammar within their dialect would be no better or worse than Genhant grammar in their speech.  And the Original dialect seems to also include more specific nonverbal communication; if they’re talking less, but (presumably) communicating similar amounts, then they must either be able to convey more information in the same amount of time through their speech, or their dialect includes informal signed elements—Vivian doesn’t seem to parse it as such, but although Darci observes less dialogue from the Original kids, Vivian’s conversations with her uncle aren’t presented any differently than Darci’s conversations with other Genhants.  A tragically unused opportunity, in my opinion.

Show me how these two dialects differ, in more specific ways, rather than just telling me they do!  Tell me about potential miscommunications!  Is there a lack of documentation of the Originals’ dialect due to its low status?  How does this affect scholarship on it?  Are the hand gestures elements of the language in some way, or are they nonlinguistic?

So… how does this work?  They try to replicate the childhood as closely as possible, but obviously it can’t be perfectly done.  Do the kids grow up knowing they’re clones, that they’re meant to be Important Person The Second, Just The Same, or is that hidden from them?  What happens if a Laureate’s umbula decides they don’t want to follow in their predecessor’s footsteps; what if they want to forge their own path in life?  Is that allowed?  No one forced the Laureate into being what they became, after all.

Things that are not entirely clear in this book include the answer to the question of how much of the high degree of segregation we see is socially and economically enforced, and how much of it is legally enforced.  This is interesting—clearly, the original divergence was economic, with the wealthy being able to afford genetic enhancements and the poor not being able to afford them; however, it strikes me as slightly unrealistic that there would be no Originals in Genhant schools or at non-scholarship Genhant summer camps, etc, if there was no segregation on a legal level.  Of course it would be more difficult for Originals to become wealthy enough to afford these, but the fact that none of them seem to have reached that level is very revealing; that tells me there’s far less social mobility than we have in our modern society (which isn’t very mobile, much as we may like to think otherwise) or there’s legal discrimination and segregation keeping things this way or both.

…and with all that being said, I’d love to hear something about what it’s like to grow up in the underclass of this society. We see most things from Darci’s point of view, and she, being a thirteen-year-old who’s basically comfortable in her own life, doesn’t really see that much.  What’s it like, being raised as an Original?  What sort of expectations do Original parents and schools have for their children?  What sorts of jobs do they typically do?  Do they go to university? Can they go to university?  Are there summer camps for them, or do they only get to do things like that on scholarships?  What’s it like, being the Scholarship Kid due not only to your family’s finances but also your very genetics?  How does that change your dynamic with your other Original friends, when you got a scholarship and they didn’t—what do they think about that?  I’d assume they have less obsession with Genetic Predetermination, since they don’t get a map of their probable life at conception… how does that work, in this society that runs on genetic predetermination for so many things?

He comes to a few hours later. Or, she thinks it’s a few hours. Time doesn’t seem to be working here. There’s no day, no night, just emptiness. He’s frantic when he wakes, jolting up and rambling incoherently. His eyes are wild and blazing. He turns to her, hyperventilating, and she places a hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay, Peter.”

He calms down a little, but not much. “Who are you? Where am I? How do you know my name?” He starts babbling again, his words melting together. He’s going at a million miles an hour, and Wanda tries to forget how much that reminds her of Pietro.

“Peter, Peter, calm down. You’re safe.” That’s not true, and she knows it.

He finally calms down enough to properly look at her. “Scarl-Scarlet Witch. Vision’s girlfriend.” She winces when he mentions his name. She tries to smile though.

“Call me Wanda.”
