A Model Offer

Sean frowned at the drawing pad; he couldn’t quite get the portrait to match what was in his head and with a growl, he tossed the graphite pencil down and flopped backward on the bench, staring at the sun reflecting on the ceiling, drawing pad dangling from his left hand.

He’d stayed late to work some on his sketches, somewhere quieter than home. His mind had been over-full lately, and... Sean closed his eyes and tossed his right arm over them. There was only face and voice and form always on his mind. He couldn’t get his mind off Shawn, the way the other boy treated him with respect and kindness and... Sean bit his lip. Attraction, there he could admit it. And if he was admitting that, he should admit to himself that he was attracted right back.

Isn’t that why you’re hanging out at school more often? A little voice whispered in his head. You like him too. Sean shook his head, dismissing the thought for now - he couldn’t figure out why Shawn was nice to him, not really. He didn’t understand.

He paused as he heard footfalls enter the room, and moved his arm to peek out around it, seeing who had strolled into the art studio this late in the day.

7 for Mimas

#7: At what point do they reach their limit?

Very very interesting to think about... See, most of the time Mimas acts out in what appears to be anger or exasperation, they... Aren't?

Take Scapegoat for example.

These seem like Mimas is losing it towards Sun, but if they really wanted to, they could have deleted or corrupted him at any given point. Xe kept him around for fun, no matter how annoyed it made them.

So what would cause them to reach their limit?

The answer is a little disappointing.

I don't know, and god help whoever finds out.

Scapegoat AU (cont)

*Shawn’s family is loaded. The corporation does good but their true money is in hexes and curses. They are good at what they do they get paid for what they do. And yup unexplainable misfortunes happen to those who start to seriously rival their businesses.

*A Williams witch can have 2 scapegoats in their lifespan. Not at the same time but if they go through one completely they can have one more after it. The bond is not as strong or works as well as the first one does.

*Shawn indicates Sean’s mother was killed by a powerful hex that not only killed the scapegoat but also maimed the hex caster because she was on her second scapegoat. Up for veto but Shawn’s got… ideas to work with this idea if Sean wants too.

* A wandering scapegoat is not a good thing. Falling into the hands of another witch they can use the karmic bond against the witch they’re tied too. Shawn gives the indication just as potent as a drop of blood or a lock of hair.

* There are rules for respecting scapegoats that are deteriorating. Just instead of being honored for their role they are turning more into a second class citizen, a disposable commodity. It makes Shawn sick to his gut how some of his family views are so small because they seem to forget they are tied to PEOPLE. I don’t know all the rules or traditions. He’s throwing an idea out more than anything.

* Scapegoats are employed by the Williams corporation still that modern serfdom thing. I think it’s partly for protection don’t want scapegoats falling to the wrong hands.

* A scapegoat cannot physically answer who they are tied too. It turns to gibberish or they start choking if in a conversation to reveal their witch.

* Another random tidbit is a witch does not share their power or their possessions. Shawn still also pushes he wants to use the karmic bond for Sean to tap into his verve and use magic.

* Shawn’s power is like a golden orb. There are two bonds that tie him and Sean together. One is royal purple and that’s the karmic bond. The other is crimson red and that’s the soulmate bond and yes a touch of Red String of Fate there.

Shawn came from a very posh high end elite school down to Sean’s school because he is pursuing his bonded. I’m wondering if someone’s name needs to change so they can be in the same homeroom or does Shawn show a flex of power by being in Sean’s due to the gap between j and w.

Shawn… his future is dark and grim at the moment. He doesn’t like thinking about it because leaves bouts of despair and self destructive behavior. He’d like to stay in school and be 17 forever lol

First Meeting

Sean Jones crossed his arms, trying to look more pissed off in an attempt to hide that he was scared, and took another long look around the room, a sneer curling his lip. He couldn’t help but be envious of the nice, big house, huge shaded yard, the fine furniture and decorations in the hall he’d been led through; he even liked the all hardwood, strong, masculine feel of the place, not to mention just the size and the expensive car that he’d been picked up in. Stuff we should have, seein’ as how we’re the ones payin’ for it, he thought to himself jealously. His gaze dropped to his wrist again, to the bright red, newly healing scar on his right wrist, going into the palm of his hand. He gritted his teeth, his jaw tightening, anger swirling in his gut.  

He’d known ever since he was eight that his family’s bloodline was just used as ‘scapegoats’ for the Williams family. He still didn’t fully understand – magic and witches and warlocks seemed like something out of a movie, but… he couldn’t deny that when that blade had snapped on the carpentry saw in shop class, there did seem to be something supernatural that had guided it as it had flung itself across the room, seemingly curved around and missed the column in the center of the room, missed everyone else… and slashed his wrist and palm when he’d thrown up an arm to deflect it.

Sean growled to himself and pushed off the wall to pace in front of the windows. He didn’t like being here, it made him nervous, and even his dad’s call telling him to go with the strangers who picked him up from school didn’t make him feel better – not when he could hear the worry he had tried to suppress even as he said that everything would be fine, they just wanted him to meet someone.

He whirled back to the door as he heard the knob turn, eyes wide, before he scrambled to cross his arms over his chest, trying to settle into a semi-confident stance and to control his apprehensive breathing, green eyes fixed on the door to see who would come in.

Scapegoat AU

Soulmate headcanon

When soulmates look into each other’s eyes, they can sense strong emotions from each other. Basically limited empathy, only when looking into each other’s eyes, and of strong emotions?

From Sky, regarding Warp’s anger when they first meet: “It’s like standing by a bonfire and getting hit by hot, angry sparks on bare skin.”

Wiccan Threefold Law (x)

The Rule of Three (also Three-fold Law or Law of Return) is a religious tenet held by some Wiccans/Pagans. It states that whatever energy a person puts out into the world, be it positive or negative, will be returned to that person three times.

The Idea of Scapegoats

An evil coven of witches cursed other bloodlines to the the karmic backlash of the awful spells/hexes/curses they cast. Possibly now in modern day, they run a huge corporation with its origins of a family business? Get the feeling the cursed families work for them as well. Maybe quasi slavery while still operating in a free world setting? Not sure how much power is reached out in private lives if any... just fumbling around with ideas xD

Sky says the rituals to tie the magic users to their scapegoat happens really young. He doesn’t remember when it happened, what’s involved. He didn’t know about Warp until after he did his own first hex. I get he fully expected the backlash and accepted that... but it didn’t happen. Maybe he asked someone out of confusion? It was only after the fact that he realized he had a mystical whipping boy and they were soon introduced. Sky... is not evil and everything about this idea really horrifies him. Meeting his scapegoat he meets his soulmate who is (rightfully so) angry and bitter. Sky is regretful and wants to make things right. He also wants Warp to not think of him as a monster. Chasing/Courting is in Sky’s court seeking redemption from Warp.

Warp’s Scar

Can be up for veto, I sorta frown at this because its one muse picking things for another muse but its SkyWarp they do that knowing their mate can and does veto if they need too <3 

Sky says its visible and a place that is hard to hide. He toys with back of his hand, crawling up his neck, or on his face (giving Warp choices or will accept any veto and whatever Warp wants). I get its like Warp was hit by a sudden invisible blade that just slashed him and left him a deep gash that turned into a thick scar. Its shiny and oh so new I think past the scab part. Sky is willing to spend the rest of his life making it up to Warp, it is the last scar Warp gets from karmic backlash from Sky.
