It had been years since Addison had seen Callie Torres. Of course they had stayed in contact through email and texts, but in person, not for years. When Addison found out about the divorce and Callie’s move to New York, she had upped her communication, just so Callie knew she was there for her. But with a strike of luck, Addison had been requested for a surgery in New York. 

She had finished up at the hospital and headed straight for the restaurant where she had agreed to meet Callie, squealing in delight the minute she saw her. “Callie!” She called happily, reaching out for her friend. “Oh god! It’s been too long.”

So I’m not  really sure why I’m even paying to live in a room that I hardly  get to see, it seems kind of silly. I probably just need a new  roommate.”

Well imagine that but with the kind of sort of ex you have managed to avoid for almost two years because of the awful way things ended...” She sighed deeply at the end of her rambling, glancing down at the coffee stain on her front and the mismatched shoes she was currently wearing, reshuffling the broken handbag in her arms. Adaline looked a mess as she sent the other a sheepish smile. “Long story short, I need to hide for a bit till I have regained some of my dignity and somehow managed to erase the memory...would you mind terribly if I did it here?”

emma wasn’t sure if she necessarily needed to check herself into the hospital. on one had she had at least one gun shot wound, and as far as she knew the bullet was still embedded in her shoulder. her lip was split and she had bit her tongue pretty damn hard; emma hoped they were source of the blood she had coughed up. on the other had, she was a 16 year old girl who looked like she’d just lost a fight with a semi (or, more accurately, a couple of former hydra agents) and had no real identification on her, just the hope that someone recognized her from the news. there would be questions she couldn’t answer.

trusting that this hospital had the same respect for the avengers as the ones back in new york, emma gave in and stumbled through the automatic doors.
