As much as Maggie loved social gatherings; she hated the ones she had to do for work. All the pretentious and fake people around her made her feel so out of place. The only good thing that came out of this was that Ben had finally agreed to come with as her plus one. For years, Maggie has been trying to bring Ben as her date, but he always turned her down in the past. So tonight, since he agreed, she wanted to make it special for him. But what Maggie didn’t expect was one of the Victoria’s Secret models coming over and blatantly starting to flirt with him in front of her. Not wanting to make a scene at work, Maggie simply told the model, her and Ben had business to attend to and the woman nods going off to the next famous sleazebag.

 The brunette playfully pouts as she rest her head on her boyfriend’s chest. “I wish we could leave.” She whispers, not wanting to watch other beautiful women flirt with Ben. Sadly Maggie was a jealous person but she trusted Ben with her life. She knew he’d never cheat on her. Feeling eyes on them, Maggie just buried her face in the crook of his neck as she whispered, they were sharing at him. Looking up at him, she softly smiles when he brings a strand of her hair behind her ear. His words made her blush. It warmed her heart, his words. At the mention of Gossip, Maggie couldn’t help but giggle, as she moves an inch from him to look around, to see who was here. “Well you see that lady next to the bar? She’s currently dating a 21 year old model named Joseph and she’s 65 years old.”  Maggie turns around as  watier comes with a tray. Maggie takes the two glasses of wine and hands one to Ben, “What should we toast to?” she asked with a smile.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Maggie asked Ben’s sisters as they wait for him by his car. He was being released today. It’s been a whole year since Maggie last seen her boyfriend. His sisters had suggested the two take a little break while Ben tried to get his shit together. Maggie had agreed simply due to not wanting to fight with Ben, plus she was away in New Zealand filming for about six months. It was hard, and she missed Ben like hell, but it was a relief not to be constantly arguing with him. Though she will admit the makeup sex was out of this world; but that didn’t really mean much to Maggie like Ben’s wellbeing did. Maggie thought about Ben every single day she was away. Was he eating good? Was he content? Was he happy? Did he meet someone else? Maggie’s heart plummeted at the thought of Ben moving on from her. The two technically didn’t break up, but if Ben did meet someone who made him happier and healthier...would she stop it? No, because she’s not a horrible person.

What if he doesn’t remember me?” the newly dyed blonde whispered, looking down at her shoes. What if Ben didn’t want to see her? What if he doesn’t want anything to do with her? So many things were running through Maggie’s head, that she was about to bolt into her car and leave, but the sound of the gate opening caught her attention, and she lifts her head and her eyes begin to water as Ben comes into view.

‘ I can’t stand the way you make me feel so good, like, better than I ever felt, and then you tear it all away, like deep down, you don’t want me to be happy. What kind of person does that?” her dark brown eyes bore into their soul. “Don’t do this, please...” The brunette’s voice trembles as she reaches for the person’s hand. “Let me help you. PLEASE.” She begs the person as her eyes suddenly shift to the camera. “AND CUT!!!!” the director yells ecstatically. “Excellent Job, you two! Now go on break. Everyone, lunch is two hours today! Enjoy the food trucks, thank you!” the director shuts as him and the producers walk the other way. Magnolia smiles as she waves some crew members off and goes over to her on-screen partner, “Well… How was it? Was I believable enough this time?” She chuckles. || Closed Starter for  @retroactiive​​
