my dislike for sbial has nothing to do with the cast, it’s the movie and the things its promoting. im sure the cast is wonderful, and the actors probably did a phenomenal job 😊

What’s wrong with sbial? Honest question- I was so excited to see it after tatbilb (I know I know ppl keep saying don’t compare) but now I’m not so sure...

Weeeeell…..

I can really only speak for myself, and myself is conflicted. On the one hand, I think everyone in the cast did a great job and I would watch them again, but on the other I didn’t love the writing? And I loved seeing Shannon in a lead role - Sierra was for the most part confident in herself and stood up for herself and wasn’t afraid to do things because she thought someone would judge her -younger me would have been so positively affected had this come out then. But Sierra also did some seriously crap things to people trying not to be spoilery but especially to Veronica when it was Sierra who pulled Veronica into the whole Cyrano mess in the first place and the way the movie was paced, I didn’t feel like she had enough time to honestly make amends; everyone just kind of forgives her again, I’m restraining myself from spoilers as much as possible, but Veronica does a pretty big thing for her and I don’t feel it’s really all that emotionally earned? and Jamey is just…. no I’ll stop. And this is personal and probably shouldn’t count as a ding against the movie, but Cyrano-style plots as a whole just aren’t really a favorite of mine.

Sbial was so bad :( what she did was wrong and I hate that everyone just forgave her. People on twitter are really not happy about it. Anywayx @netflix cast Noah in better movies like To all the boys I've loved before sequel.

ya i have mixed feelings about sbial.., in the end i only cared about jamey dan and veronica.. what sierra did to veronica was gross :/ and the first kiss made me so uncomfortable she never even apologized for treating them like shit and not to mention the ugly transphobic jokes.

I know that I’m not a savior or anything, but I think that people are looking for someone to look up to. Or at least a hand to hold and somebody that they can relate to. I must be here for some reason, there must be something good that I can do with the position that I have. I don’t think I would be happy with myself if I looked back and saw I used all this attention to make more money.
