long rambling rant about AHS delicate below the cut (contains spoilers!!)
listen, I had my qualms with this show from the get-go because it was filmed during the strike, and the circumstances surrounding said filming (after speaking with someone who shall remain nameless) were beyond shitty. but, not wanting to be a groundless naysayer, I gave it a good college try anyway. I went in with as little bias as I possibly could, truly.
Overall, the season felt very disjointed and haphazard for me. while it didn't lack the classic AHS stylization, the plotline didn't feel like a season of AHS at all. I'm not sure what it felt like, but it wasn't the show I know and love. albeit, i'm not a fan of pregnancy storylines and this was entirely that, at its core and even during its reveal, but i gave it a shot anyway, for the sake of it being AHS. I'm not sure why or what motivated RM to go with a story based off Delicate Condition, like what was the driving force where he read it and went NEEDS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH AMERICAN HORROR STORY STAT???? don't understand that all. i guess it stays true to his recent obsession with focusing on real issues as opposed to ghosts and ghouls and fun shit, but I digress.
the lesser, supporting roles were all played wonderfully. everyone who was a 'background' character for lack of a better term did a great job. which usually isn't how it goes for AHS.... everyone does a great job and it's this amazing cohesive success, regardless of if you have a starring or a supporting role. didn't feel that way with Delicate. also having absolute monster talented actors like Billie Lourd and Leslie Grossman but making them some superficial PR specialists? weird. weird choices all around.
Emma Roberts didn't exactly shine in this role, but she wasn't playing the stereotypical bitchy girl that she usually plays so I can at least give her that?? i guess?? kudos for uhhh brancing out or something? it was a very lacklustre performance, in my opinion. as are most of her performances, but that's a conversation for a different day. i'll say that it was the most.... *grits teeth* invested I've been in her. all her other characters are just preppy bitches. anna at least had some emotional substance.
Kim K was.... well, not great, but she was better than I thought she'd be. I'll say that. I'm not convinced that she wasn't just being herself.... but yknow. she knows how to "play" a mean, scary upper elite type bitch in charge kind of role, I guess. sounds like I'm just describing her... well, anyway.
the finale felt extremely rushed. I felt like none of anna's hallucinations were explained, what was real, what wasn't real. what were they?? the sisterhood of what? why were they still alive after decades and centuries?? what was the baby? what was the fucking spider thing about??? why were spiders so prevalent in the promo stuff? and the - ugh lord have mercy, the "battle", if you can call it that?? a simple chant being what defeated Siobhan?? c'mon, be so for real with that. that was like they had NO idea what they were doing and they just decided last minute to be like "a magical whispered spell hooray!! the evil is defeated!!!" afjhdeskjsd. what.
is it worth a watch...??? uhhhhhhh I guess so?? if you're a completionist and wanna try? I truly don't know how to answer that man. like if this was my first introduction to AHS I probably wouldn't watch another episode of any season.
anyway, tldr AHS: Delicate was very weird and I rate it like a 3/10. Maybe 4 because of the supporting roles being acted well. I don’t know man.

My ideal starting 11 for the USWNT vs CANWNT semi-finals:
GK: Alyssa Naeher. No justifications needed. She has been marvels. Her confidence is high and her form in great. No need to break the momentum.
LB: Crystal Dunn. The best choice. She hasn't had the best tournament, but that's only because she's usually so so good that comparing her to her usual standard is already unfair on her. Nonetheless, she always proves the people wrong, I have no doubt she will do it again.
CB: Becky Sauerbrunn. No questions asked. Oh captain my captain. Strong, stable and grounded. We need her presence on the field and especially in the backline since we've been uncharistically shaky at the back. Plus, it's Becky. Duh.
CB: Tierna Davidson. Listen, I love Abby, but homegirl has not been herself lately (no hate, happens to the best of us). No doubt Abby probably has better chemistry with Becky, but she's lacking in individual performance and decision-making. This is where I believe Tierna steps in. She also has a calm, sorta Becky-like presence on the field that I believe stops her from making bad decisions under pressure. Plus she has been performing great, no questions as to why she shouldn't be starting.
RB: Kelley O'Hara. Has had a few bad patches but I believe those were mostly due to her having to cover for Abby's mistakes and continously having to oscillate between attack and covering more in the defense then she's used to. Plus I still believe her connection and slow with the midfield is superior to that of Emily Sonnet.
CDM: Julie Ertz. Say what you want but this role was made for Julie and no one else does it justice like she does. Lindsey is an alright substitute but not even near Julie's level. Her defensive presence and her distributing ability is far superior. Plus, she's always somehow all over the field. We need her as a stabilizer in the middle.
LM: Lindsey Horan. She has great chemistry with Press up front and with Dunn at her back. He services into the box for Alex have been decent as well, so I think she'll be a good choice even though she has been losing the ball quiet a bit and her passing bas been questionable.
RM: Sam Mewis. I think Rose has had great games and has often been the only person on the field to actually show some sort of resilience in times of need, but with Mewis in the first half I think would provide (I'm hoping) good passes into the front line. She alternatively plays CDM for club so I think she has the ability to exploit potential passing lanes and catch the forwards in their runs.
LW: Christen Press. Girlie is in good form, and as shown she's a threat when the midfield behind her is solid, but has also disappeared in matches when the midfield was not there. Here's to hoping the midfield continue their current rhythm and are able to provide Press with good through passes so she can utilize her zooming abilities.
RW: Lynn Williams. Hear me out. We know she's zoom Jr. Has has high confidence from the Nederlands game, and, along with Press, can stretch the defense quite easily. Her crossing isn't the best but has proved to be dangerous at times. Most of all, she'll be against Chapman. Chapman is extremely good 1v1 which is why someone who can simply zoom past her without the need to continously face her would be able to exploit the wing (we all know Lynn is notoriously bad at 1v1). Lynn also has shown great chemistry with Sam so watching the right side in the first half could prove to be fruitful.
ST: Alex Morgan. I actually had to think over this quite a bit because I was considering Carli for a second. Alex has not been Alex in a few games (but then again which USWNT player has truly been at their best). But she seems to be developing a flow with Press which I hope can be exploited in the game. Plus her speed and heading is always an advantage, especially with services from Horan and Lrwsst.
_____________________________________________
Supersubs:
- Lavelle: girlie looks like the only player not being weighed down by weights around their ankles, and her 1 to 1 with Kelley on the right is always fun to watch. Would put her in at half time to tire out the defense.
- Kristie: my girl Kristie is very attack minded and forward looking. Plus she has a good range of passes in her arsenal that I'm sure the forwards would appreciate. Please let her have her moment. I beg.
- Carli: would not hesitate to put her in for Alex actually. She has proven to work well with Press on her left and has this uncanny ability to find open spaces, especially for headers. Plus, is it just me or does she look less selfish on the ball these days?
- Megan or Tobin, only depending on the situation at the time.

Chapter 1: Beast from Below
Synopsis: When five teens set their hearts on mystery solving, maybe they'll just uncover something that's a lot bigger than fake masks.
Series Masterlist
‐----------------------------------
"Another mystery solved!" Five palms met at the center before the metal bars behind them clasped shut; once more did they find themselves enclosed at the city jail.
"Time and time again. Must I remind you kids about not interfering with city affairs."
The man pinched his nose bridge before giving them a piercing look through the cage. They expected nothing less from Chief Kim: always bossing them around like toddlers and painting them as fools.
"Just fantastic. Can't wait for another pep talk from my father." Heeseung fell to the ground dramatically as he looked at his four friends. This occurrence of the city jail never fazed them, and at this point, neither did the fear of being punished by his father.
A couple minutes elapsed before Chief Kim made his way back to the five teens in the cell. With one movement, the door bolted open, allowing them to go home at once.
"Wow. Only an hour wait. New record." Sunoo mischievously smiled and hung his shoulder over Jungwon, his shorter companion.
"Beats that time we spent the night." Sunghoon only scoffed at the duo, no longer amazed by the words that came out of their mouths.
"Heeseung! Y/n! Hurry up won't you!" You and heeseung strutted through the doors of the city building. You knew heeseung would be faced with utter disappointment from his father, head of the city, but you knew he could care less at this point.
"Park y/n!" You hated the voice trailing in front of you. Your eyes slowly made their way to meet your brothers, a teen boy who's purpose in life was to delight others and be the puppet of any tiger parent.
"Go away Jay." You shoved him in the opposite direction and tried to make your way into the van. Frankly, he was the last person you wanted to see.
"Mom and dad asked me to pick you up. Jungwon and Sunoo as well." He eyed the youngsters goofing off in the background, and when they met his gaze, they walked off the van.
"Catch you guys later okay?" Sunghoon and Heeseung drove off in the mini-van, leaving the four in silence.
You said nothing and sat in the back seat of the old Honda. The smell of pine was obvious, and the stack of prep books in the back seat didn't faze you either.
Jay dropped off Sunoo and Jungwon at their home, and later made his way back to your own.
"It wouldn't hurt to stay out of trouble y'know." He finally broke the silence and looked at you through the car mirror.
"I could care less about what you think. Plus, city jail visits from mysteries beat being my parent's trophy any day."
-------
"You should've seen our parents look. I think they don't bother with grounding us anymore." Jungwon continued to chat about the lack of punishment he and Sunoo received.
"Mine don't mind at this point. They told me to might as well study forensics if I'm into silly mysteries." Sunghoon laughed a bit and scanned the tension of the van.
"Better than whatever my father, the head of the city, had to say. He just laughed and insisted I be a role model." Heeseung added to the conversation as he drove the kids in the van. Being designated driver had its perks and its downs.
"I think I win considering Jay fucking perfect Park had to try to give me the 'stay out of trouble' peptalk." You crossed your arms and entertained yourself with the surrounding buildings. Trees, children running, a giant monster coming out the sewer.
"Heeseung!!" Abruptly, a pile of fog escaped from the sewer, blinding Heeseung who tried his best to stop the van from crashing.
"Looks like a mystery has arrived." Once Heeseung was safely able to stop the car, the rest of you left the van as well.
Small droplets of water dancing were heard from the ground below. The five of you climbed down the ladder, stepping with caution of course.
You trailed off with Sunghoon and let the bright light of your flashlights illuminate the cave.
"Why are we in a cave?" Confusion struck your minds, there was supposed to be a river of sewage water. Why you had stepped foot on a cave tricked your minds.
The teens continued to explore the cave, sharp rocks and pools of water were at your feet. As the light continued to roam the black and gray walls of the cave, a golden object shined from afar.
"Sunghoon, look." You picked up the object and your hands met with a locket. The locket opened and revealed a photograph of a young couple, probably of your same age. Before you could ponder more about the couple, a terrified shriek left Sunoo's mouth.
"What's wrong!??" Heeseung followed Sunoo's fingers and he came face to face with petrified bodies.
Three workers were frozen in a pile of green goop.
-----
"So?" Jungwon asked the officer with signs of intriguement, but he was not interested in the young one's questions.
"Dad." You turned and saw Mr.Lee make his way to Heeseung, grasping his shoulders once he had arrived.
"Do us a favor and go to school." He left almost immediately, and you were scared about what would happen next.
Turns out that 'next event' meant running away with one of the green creatures.
When you had arrived at school, Sunghoon and Heeseung plopped the green creature onto the table of Professor Kang, the science teacher.
"You think you can help?"
Professor Kang placed the stethoscope around his neck and began inspecting the creature.
"Well, it's alive; I'll tell you that." He continued to pace around the table, hesitant in informing the group about the odd human in front of them.
"Hey, sorry to bother you Professor Kang, but um...I was hoping to submit my form." A boy stood awkwardly by the door with a thin piece of paper in his hand. His black hair covered most of his forehead, and the only visible part was his shy smile.
"Come in, you weren't interrupting anything. In the meantime, I suggest you go off with this thing." Professor Kang turned his way to address the newcomer in the room; the boy responded and followed him to his desk.
"Quickly, quickly, I've got a class to teach!" Professor Kang left the room once attending to the stranger's needs.
"You heard the man, lift with your legs." You giggled slightly as you saw Sunoo hesitate at touching the green slime.
"You guys need help?" The voice behind you observed quietly, and almost gasped slightly when seeing what exactly you were trying to carry.
"It's fine, but thanks." Heeseung threw the body over his shoulders and made his way out the door.
"You're Jake right?" Sunghoon immediately began a conversation with the young boy, and didn't see his friends waiting by the door.
"Wanna come?"
The three of you wanted to kill Sunghoon for inviting a stranger to these sort of things, but it was merely too late and the unknown boy looked too nice to shoo away.
"Sure, beats sitting through Professor Min's lecture."
Jake trailed behind the trio as he chatted with Sunghoon. Heeseung through the van spotted the newcomer, and was slightly confused considering no one had ever tagged alonged.
"We've got a monster to catch, hurry and get in the van!" You opened the door with force and welcomed Jake into the back.
"This is Jake by the way, he's joining us for today." Sunoo introduced Heeseung to Jake, letting his mouth ramble on about the few details he had already learned.
"Where to captain?"
"RM's studio of course." The rhythm of the music played quietly in the background, and they all found comfort in having Jake around, they didn't expect themselves to be given their history.
"So you guys travel in a van solving mysteries?"
"Pretty much. We get thrown in the city jail occasionally." Jungwon mentioned the detail nonchalantly and expected Jake's natural surprise.
------
It was late that night when the group gave back the body to Professor Kang.
The teacher's steps were audible as he trailed back and forth between one table to the next. He became startled at the sudden noise of the janitor mopping in the hallway. He peered outward and went back to his work.
Before long, and with an audible gasp, his body was now entrapped and enclosed in the similar green goop on the ceiling.
------
"It's all my fault!" Heeseung banged his head on the table and looked at his friends with a sad expression.
"Don't say that. After all, besides Jake, we all helped steal the body from the authorities." Sunoo patted his back gently and observed Jake who placed a container of green smush on the table.
"I managed to collect a sample, maybe it'll help us."
Jungwon and Sunoo were drawn to the fruity smell, and hunger couldn't stop them from nearing the sample of the monster.
"Don't eat that!!!" Before they could stop him, Jungwon and Sunoo had already placed the oozing substance into their mouths.
"This is lime sorbet.."
"It's Ricky's Rickwracks." Confused, but curious, the other teens dipped their index finger into the mush and tasted it as well.
"You're right...I think we just got our next clue." Sunghoon smirked at the rest of his friends and grabbed the keys from Heeseung's left pocket.
------
[RICKY'S RICKWRACK]
"Since Jake, Sunoo and Jungwon are the shortest, they get to shimmy through the air ducts and open the back door."
"How come y/n isn't coming? We're the same height!"
"Because I refused." You gave him a bright smile and helped the three unbolt the door.
The trio crawled their way through the ducts and yelled loudly when they hit the ground after their sudden fall.
"We didn't mean to crush your body on the first day Jake."
They opened the door and let the three bodies waiting outside came in. The restaurant was dark, slightly humid, and oddly quiet.
"Scream if you see anything." Sunghoon and Jake led you through the left corridor and the others headed right.
There wasn't much to see, but when you had turned your back to face the door, it closed shut. Your six fists banged on the door continuously, but you figured it was useless.
"Y/n! Sunghoon! Jake!" Heeseung's voice echoed behind the door, and he managed to pry it open.
"My hero!" You happily hugged him and it didn't surprise him; apart from your hard exterior, you often liked skinship with others.
"SUNGHOON HYUNG!" the four of you ran back to see Jungwon pointing at a figure, and behold, it was the monster from below.
His bright green and sticky appearance startled you, but his roar bounced louder causing your feet to quickly flee.
Jake had become frozen; it was his first encounter of course. You took hold of his hand and ran off with him.
Constant twists and turns led you through one hall and the next. The six of you managed to head back to the closet that once trapped you.
"I-i think it's g--ahh!" You fell backwards and pushed a box aside by mistake. It was no mistake however.
It was a hole and hidden for a good reason. You jumped first and met eyes with a familiar cave.
The carts and marked arrows in the ground were a good reminder that it was no mistake.
"Follow the arrows."
Sunghoon led the way and you found containers of the same green substance from the monster. It startled you at first, but why had there been this in the first place ?
"Wouldn't this path lead to the bank?"
"By why would he need a path?"
"I'm assuming there's another type of dessert old Ricky likes to indulge in."
"Take those items, let's build ourselves a trap.."
-----
They handled the ropes and buckets in every step.
Sunoo and Jungwon handled leading the creature into the cave, running in terror like always; they were the bait.
"Now!" The trap was set off, a toss here, a toss there, and the cage landed everywhere but on top of the monster.
It continued to chase them, and they soon found themselves trapped inside the cage. Well, everyone but you and Jake.
The two of you continued to run and eventually your two pairs of feet met a dead end.
"I'll help you up."
Jake mounted you on his back and hoisted you enough to get a hold of the floor from Ricky's Rickwracks. With enough strength, you pulled yourself up and stretched your hand towards Jake to pull him up. The two of you continued to play a game with the monster on your trail.
In the meantime, the four boys played with the bolts of the cage until it managed to come loose. They went back to you and Jake and grabbed the hose of the lime sherbet.
At the right time, the creature was pushed towards the wall by the force of the blasting sherbet. His body was now too cocooned like his previous victims.
"What do you think you're doing!?" Chief Kim walked into the store through the front door alongside Heeseung's father, Mayor Lee.
"Well we caught the monster from below of course! Ricky couldn't fool me." But unknowingly, Ricky walked through the door.
"I called the police when my alarm went off."
"Then who?" Jungwon did the honors of pulling off the mask revealing the human within.
"Professor Kang!"
"That's right. When I discovered the cave while looking for samples for science class, I knew I had found my ticket out of this place! I used Ricky's sorbet to cocoon people who came too close and used the costume to scare people off. I even did it to myself to throw you people off. I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"
"But Mr.Kang, what about this locket?" You held the pendant to an eyes view but his answer let you know it didn't belong to him.
"I say we celebrate at RM's Studio !"
------
The soft music let you guys know of another job well done. A loud ring broke through the silence and Sunoo went ahead to answer it.
"Welcome to RM's studio mix, what can we do for you?"
"You're all doomed!" The seven of you, including RM, closed around the recorder.
"You should've never taken the locket out of the cave, but now you've done it. You've found a truth that has been hidden...a true mystery behind Seoul City has begun."
And just like that, the room went silent.

People say that we can't see jealous v now. But in bv 4 when jk and jm were flirting v came , looked at jm directly. Then in festa he tried to change topic when Jikook were telling about their fight. Then in recent photoshoot jm was jumping and jk helped him tae looked a little down. Then when rm and jm were playing and rm tried to pinch jm V became uncomfortable and pushed him a little and then when jm tried to sit on rm shoulder everyone laughed but V didn't looked at them.Whats your opinion?
This is a complicated matter. I have said before in a previous ask that the possibility of them being jealous when each of them is being clingy to other members is very low and I still stick to that. However, for this ask, I'm going to explain two possibilities why Taehyung might be jealous according to you which is; Platonically wise and Romantically wise
Now, honestly in my opinion, Taehyung doesn't have the right to be jealous because he does that with all the other members as well. Unless, probably it's something that they both have to do so it makes him uneasy to see Jimin being all touchy with the other members then I can understand him being 'jealous'
However, putting aside the probability of them being in a relationship, to the outside world, they are considered best friends so Taehyung might actually be posessive of his best friend. Wanting to have his whole attention.
They are both posessive of each other and this is something that they have both acknowledged with phrases like 'Jiminie is mine' 'the money he earns is mine' 'Taehyungie is mine'
Taehyung values Jimin so much, he doesn't mind spending his money on him. He bought him a one thousand dollars unisex Gucci sweater for his 2016 birthday. He used part of the money he earned by himself from filming Hwarang,( not the money he earned with Bts) to buy the piece of clothing for him and when asked why he bought Jimin such an expensive sweater, he just replied that Jimin deserves it.
So, if we look at it platonically wise, he can get jealous as 'the best friend'
But as a romantic partner (shakes head) he doesn't have the right to get jealous which is why I believe them dating is comparably low because they have to be affectionate with other members most of the time and you can't keep apologizing every time you are touchy with other members. Otherwise, it's much better for everyone to be aware of their roles and maintain it.
He might be jealous based on the close relationship he shares with Jimin but when he also does the same with other members, why should he get jealous when Jimin is touchy with others as well?
So there are two possibilities!
First that he's jealous because he's Jimin's closest friend and is very posessive of him.
Second, that he's more than just a friend and he isn't pleased that Jimin is touchy with others.
If the latter is correct, then he would only have to bury the jealousy inside and be understanding especially if in the next minute, he himself would also be clinging to another person.
Personally, it's an unhealthy way to live and will only end up creating distance between the two of them. Jimin is a typical Libra. A naturally free minded person and I don't think being in a relationship where he isn't allowed to be free with other people would make him happy. Instead, it would feel rather stiffling. For someone like Jimin, his partner has to be very understanding of the kind of person he is.
If indeed something is going on between them, then Taehyung has to be very tolerant of Jimin's personality but for how long can a person be understanding? There will come a time when the other party can't handle all the jealousy brewing up inside which could inevitably cause a rift in their relationship.
Which is the reason why if they have feelings for each other, a relationship is not ideal. It would ruin a lot of things because they will both have expectations. For couples, it's normal to feel jealous when their partner is close to other potential admirers so you are expected to keep skin contact with others at the barest minimum. They are also expected to be loyal and faithful. They are expected to create a lot of time to spend with each other but when you are two people from the same group and you are dating, it will be impossible to do all these because the world doesn't revolve around you especially when millions of people are watching every single move you make.
For example, if one member is spending too much time with one person, people will start to complain, criticizing them on why he doesn't hang out with other members.
If one member posts pics with some people in the group and doesn't post pics with others, people will complain.
If one member doesn't congratulate another member or says something good about his members, people will also complain, claiming that there's something wrong somewhere.
So many instances of expectations and with all these expectations, how do you expect such a relationship to survive when people expect so much?
It would be better to be free minded and accept things as they see it instead of having a relationship attachment which will ultimately keep you from doing your job well. This can only happen unless the two have a super understanding.
Jealousy isn't something I can forsee because they both really have no right to be jealous of each other's clinginess to other members especially when they are both doing the same thing. Though Taehyung isn't as clingy to others as he used to be but I know in public he's quite touchy with Jin, Hoseok and Yoongi.
If they are in a relationship (which I don't believe is possible) and Taehyung shows his jealous side, it could be because he has told Jimin he doesn't like him touching other people but how can that be possible for Jimin especially when they are in a group with other members? It wouldn't be possible to do that at all.
It is all of these that makes a relationship in Bts totally unbelievable. If Taehyung is jealous, it would be for his own personal reasons and his protectiveness towards Jimin and definitely not because of the other members when in the next minute he would be placing his hands on Jungkook's laps or squeezing Rm into a koala hug or forcing Yoongi to hug him or wrapping his arms around Jin's waist and looking him deep into his eyes as if he wants to kiss him or rolling his body with Hoseok while placing his hands on his waist.
He really doesn't have the right to get jealous of Jimin's clinginess with others when he also does the same or unless it's just a silly thing they both do to make each other jealous which is really truly silly if you ask me.
So I can't really give a concerate answer to this because there are many possibilities because it's either Vmin is dating or they are not. No one knows the truth so I gave answers based on each possibilities, as platonic friends and as a romantic couple. Either of them could be correct, we don't really know but for me, being jealous of the other members is simply showing a lack of professionalism because they have to get used to it and no one could be a potential admirer but with outsiders, it is a totally different story.
For instance back in 2016/2017, Taehyung seemed to be uncomfortable with Taemin and Jimin's friendship. Taemin is a popular member of SHINee and is personally, one of the most gorgeous people I have ever seen. No kidding! I know a lot of people are going to ask me to show them evidences of these, just check online or search on YouTube and you will know that Taemin and Jimin had a very close relationship. They formed this closeness when they were paired together to dance on stage. I don't know if they are still as close as before but back then, they where. People saw them hanging out with each other a lot in public and even backstage. At a time, some Armies were displeased with their relationship because everyone knows that Taemin is a smoker. He had been smoking since he was very young and because Armies felt he would influence Jimin, they went against the relationship pretty hard.
I guess it was one of the reasons why they limited their interactions in public. Apart from seeing each other during public events, they were never seen together in public again. My thoughts though.
I don't know about you guys but for me, it was pretty obvious Taehyung was not a big fan of their friendship. There was this time when several idols were on stage and Jimin and Taemin were in deep discussion. No one even needed to analyze anything for you to know that Taehyung kept looking at them every five minutes. It was as clear as day. He did not hide the fact that his attention was on the both of them through out the time they were standing on stage.
This is just a little example of the true jealousy I'm talking about. I kept wondering why Taehyung was like that.
Could it be because he was jealous that Taemin was a threat to his relationship/ friendship with Jimin?
Jimin has also acted like this. The most popular instance is his jealousy of Taehyung's Hwarang hyungs. As we can see, these people whom they show these sides to are mostly outsiders.
Anyway, I have said so much and everything is jumbled up. But to summarize, BTS is a family and if Vmin if jealous of each other's clinginess then it's their personal matter and in the end, has nothing to do with the members because at the end of the day, Jungkook is still going to hug Jin and take a picture with his arms around his neck exposing his naked back (cough) Hoseok is still going to tease Jimin as if he wants to kiss him. They are all still going to do these things every single time and it's not going to change which is why I don't look at the so called 'jealousy' between Bts because if you do, you'll simply get confused.
What I'm concerned with most is when outsiders are involved. That's when things to me get very interesting.
Thanks for this ask. Also, I want to use this opportunity to announce to those who have sent me asks that I will eventually answer them. I have been pretty occupied lately and just recently got a break so now, i have some time to rest myself. Thank you all for your patience. I 💜 u

OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes!: You’re Everybody’s Sidekick Review
OK KO was easily one of the best animated series of the 2010′s and i’ll stand by those words. The brainchild of Ian Jones Quartlery, voice of Wallow in Bravest Warriors and more importantly former head writer for Steven Universe, and current longtime romantic partner of that series creator Rebecca Sugar. That part isn’t AS important, but I still find it sweet. Anyways OK KO was the story of K.O., a 6-11, not my own laziness for once but the show’s own way of doing age, year old boy who wants to be the best like no one ever was. In this case i’ts being a hero in a world that’s basically like if someone took the marvel universe and smashed a retro game collection and a pile of manga on top of it and then blended up the result and shot it full of gamma rays. Full of heroes of all kinds ranging from those fighitng crime to those who just want to loiter outside strip malls or cut hair. To achieve this goal KO gets a job at Gar’s Bodega, the combination of your average bodega (for those unfamiliar with the term, i’ts a convience store) and a video game item shop, so the slurpee machine is right next to the power ups and ninja stars, and everything from skateboard polish to Spread Guns is avaliable. The bodega is owned by Mr.Gar, a mustachiosed muscle man whose basically a shoutier mexican version of MIke Haggar but with shades and a mustache. So a somehow better version of him, though with him being busy watching over the plaza itself, doing secret hero missions and what not the day to day operations are left to two teens: Rad, a muscle bound dude bro alien with telekenisis and a secret heart of gold and Enid, a cynical, slacker ninja whose also bilogically a witch because her parents are a vampire and a werewolf. So the series follows these three as they run the boedega, grow as people and fight the robots that frequently attack the plaza sent by the evil Lord Boxman who hates the place literally because it’s there and it’s existance annoys him. This is the canon explination and it is utterly hilarious. The series was funny, had great character work, decent ongoing stories, great jokes and a fun tone that could go from meaningful and well thorught ot utterly batshit from episode to episode and was sadly canceled after 3 seasons because Cartoon Network is kinda stupid right now and dosen’t know how to handle a superhero show that still makes action a priority, but it did get a solid ending, a slew of great crossovers and a decent amount of representation under i’ts belt. WHich brings us to today and the start of RED ACTION WEEK: A week dedicated to the series most prominent gay character and the bisexual ninja witch who loves her. I’m covering all 5 of Red’s more prominent apperances... I was just going to do the red/enid episodes but decided this was a better introduction to the series itself, as well as the fact it allows her character arc to better tie together by her final episode, which directly uses this one as a major plot point. I also threw Plaza Prom in there since, even if she’s only a supporting character, it’s still one of her few major apperances, is part of her final major episode, is one of my faviorites, and the climactic dance fights is one of the most intentionally homoerotic fight scenes i’ve seen in some time. With all that out of the way, let’s do this after the cut.
We start at Gar’s Bodega, just after the opening two parter, with KO starting his first day of work, part of the reason this episode is a fairly smooth introduction into the show. Not even in the door he accidently shoryukyn’s joe cuppa, a stand up comedian with a cup of coffee in the big time for a head... I told you anything goes and I meants it. After that accident, we find Enid at the counter, ignoring the customers before shooing them away and when KO asks for work, plays along with his enthusasim and tells him to clean the store.. which he does in minutes, before being told to sort the penny dish, and while he does the two discuss KO’s love of helping people: KO just genuinely thinks that’s part of his job, the right thing to do and feels good while Enid.. dosen’t feel it’s worth the effort and people are just generally ungreatful and not worth it. I really like this scene for showing off their character dynamic beautifully: It starts showing that while at this stage Enid is largely an asshole, she does care about K.O. and while he’s cleaning, despite usually turning customers away, still let’s Ginger, an elderly patron and one of KO’s mom’s dojo customers, not only check out but pay in freaking pennies. It shows that try as she might, Enid really isn’t a cyncial or heartlesss as she claims. It’s also nice setup for later in the season as, and as i’m sure Ian Jones Quartlery and crew were preparing for, we later DO see why Enid hates people so much: her best friend, possibly more, Elodie, who i’ll certainly be covering eventually, betrayed her for a spot at Point Prep, basically UHA or Xavier’s for this world and claimed their friendship was just a ploy (It wasn’t, but again, story for another time), while her one date with Rad went terribly due to him acting like a huge jackass at the advice of his even bigger jackasses of friends. It’s easy to see why she stopped carring: When she opened up in the past it only lead to her being hurt and alone. K.O.... is the opposite. He genuinely belivies in everyone and tries to help them because, as said above, it’s just what he does and what he belivies a hero should be... he hasn’t been hurt or influenced by assholes like his friends, and thus is able to get them to open up. It’s a wonderful dynamic and I love it. And naturally, KO is determined to help Enid see the light, with Enid responding with the wonderful line “You’ll never melt my icy heart”... give him a few more episodes Enid, give him a few more episodes. So K.O. Decides to set out helping people, shouting about it to enid back at the store as he does because he’s 6-11 and kids in that age range are many things, but subtle is not one of them. He starts with Geoff and Nick Army, a monk and gay duke nukem reflectivity who despite having polar oppositie personalities, are both a couple, as confirmed by the creative team and then the finale, and a crime fighting duo who are having a dispute over opening a pickle jar with the good old ultra violence or non violence, which KO solves by letting both do it once, which results in a pickle jar explosion, both men in their underwear and everyone happy, especially the shippers. KO continues his quest, going to Logical Cuts where we meet Mr.Logic, a robot who has a rather moving and well done backstory we’ll certainly get to, and is voice by James Urabanik, aka the voice of Rusty Venture on the venture bros, to my utter delight. And yes i’ll be covering the venture bros eventually, and might be this month. His customer, another one of KO’s mom’s regulars, is upset because her haircut isn’t right while Mr.Logic is upset, well as upset as a monotone robot can convey, that his usually 100% mathmatically perfect haircuts are off. KO pitches in and the new result is perfect, with both being greatful.
KO’s next stop on his good will help people crying for help tour, after the above bit of wonderful art shift as that version of ko moveds like a south park character for some reason. Anyways, it turns out best friends, co workers and the dante and randal of this show, i.e.two best friends working a dead end job who despite arguing a lot need each other, A Real Magical Skeleton, self explaintory and Greg, a bear, are having an argument because RMS is trying to do their job and frame a baseball for a guy while Greg is being a dickhead and playing the drums constantly. As you can probably wager, I do not like Greg, probably more than rusty, partly because a future episode has him making KO doubt his macaroni art gift for his mom so he can eat it, yes really, and partly because he’s less intresting than his buddy and yet the two are shipped frequently despite my honest assumption they’d kill each other.. much like if dante and randall finally banged. However if you do ship them, I have no hostility with you. Unlike say loudcest or shipping sam with lincoln over at the loud hosue, there's nothing wrong with RMS X Brandon, it’s just not for me. Anywho KO solves it in the hilarious and awesome manner of just putting Brandon inside one of those baseball cube things... it’s a shame he apparently gave him air holes but whatever. Proud of himself, K.O. plans to head back when he runs into the Ally Teens: Red Action, rude teen warrior from the future who just had a bad haircut, Drupe, a sentient strawberry because of course, and Greg, Drupe’s nonbinary best friend and combination of one of the bone cousins and Woodstock. K.O. offers to help and , with the trio being huge steaming bowls of elephant piss at this point, they instead trick him into waiting in a lava flow and then have drupe whip him every time the lava causes him to cartoonishily jump in the air. Yeah despite both Red Action and Drupe going on to having supporting roles, like our good pal tom, who I will get back to this month, there isn’t nearly as much wiggle room in their first apperance. With Tom Lucitor, he was a dick.. but you could make the case, even just off that ep that he genuinely dosen’t know HOW to be a good person or that what he’s doing is sketchy at best. Here, it’s fairly obvious the ally teens know setting a child on fire and using vine whip on him super effectively is wrong, that’s why their doing it. Red, being that special brand of asshole, posts it on social media. I mean posting a video of yourself hurting a child, that’s Tucker Carlson level’s of dickery right there. Stone cold. Enid sees it and is understandably concerned, and goes over to see if KO’s allright when he returns and is forced to explain to him that no they weren’t laughing with him, they were laughing at him and were just being dicks. Also he wasn’t in lava, it was magma. It was above ground.
K.O. glumly wonders why and Enid reitrates this kind of shit is why she dosen’t help people. K.O. also wonders how she saw it and we find out Enid is basically facebook stalking red action on her social media, as you do, and that Red’s been on a bit of a tear lately, smashing up shit and farting in Geoff’s face all because she got a bad haircut, with K.O. , likely going thorugh more of her posts, realizing theirs a pattern: When bad things happen to her she lashes out at others.. just like Enid. I do like the parallel there: Enid likely has a crush on her because the two are fairly similar.. but Enid runs cold and tens to be standoffish as a result of her past, while Red tens to take out her anger and frustration on everyone else and runs red hot. But they come together because opposities attract... it’s what noble laurite MC Scat Kat taaught us after all. K.O. however, having Steven Universe level’s of empahty and an equal sense of wanting to help, and just as few boundries as he had as a tween, decides that it’s clear the ally teens have underlying issues to adress and gets Enid help to look at their social media. Returning to the ally, and seemingly unphased by earlier, K.O. sets out helping them, starting by helping red get her haircut fixed by Mr. Logic. Red is adorably delighted. Moving on K.O. notes that Drupe basically just follows Red’s lead but has a fashion blog and clearly an identiy of her own and we soon learn she believes no one reads it. K.O. showed it to the not at all ambigiously gay duo and Geoff and Nick thank her> That’s two blushes and two wins in K.O.’s court. Finishing up, K.O. realizes Gregg stays quiet because they have low self esteem and feel they have nothing to be proud of. K.O. however found lots to be proud of and framed Gregg’s valdectorian certificate for him, again with some help from earlier. Instead of graditude red just calls him weird and leaves and KO slumps back depressed. I’ts a good lesson though: people DON’T change just because you did one weirdly kind thing for them. That takes time.. as we’ll see with Red and as we see with Drupe, who has less of an ons creen journey but is far nicer after her next apperance. While Enid is grossed out over having helped someone, Gregg comes in.. and after some great deranged animation thanks K.O. and Enid admits after some prodding that it does feel good to help, and K.O. is happy to have helped her int he process. The two playfully mess around as the episode ends. Final Thoughts: This was a really good one. Reaching back this far into the series, I didn’t think it’d would be nearly as good as it ended up: It serves both as a good proper introduction for a lot of the plaza regulars, a good setup for Enid’s character arc, and was also really funny with great animation. LIke Tom, I don’t think the creators knew exactly what they were going to do with the Alley Teens and thus take the two they end up focusing on in opposite directon: Red keeps her assholishness for her next apperance and grows from it, while Drupe’s drops off by the end of this season, likely due to her fashion blog taking off, but we’ll get into Red more in a review or so and Drupe more later this month. For now this episode was good and next up we have their next apperance in Plaza Prom. Until then, follow this blog for more reviews and nonsense, like and reblog it if you enjoyed this, hit me up with asks for review suggestions or comssions and until next time, later days!

summary: She’s known as the Wraith, a destructive member of a notorious intelligence organization. When a mission goes wrong, she runs into a rival group, BTS, and is offered a choice that could change her whole life.
↳series masterlist
It was bright.
The ceiling lights were white and blinding, the way they were in hospitals sometimes, glinting off the glass on the opposite wall. You were thankful the walls and floors at least were a darker gray or that would’ve really hurt your eyes. You shifted in the hard chair you were sitting in, only to notice the metal handcuffs pinching into your skin.
Well, shit. Your captors had been smart to restrict your hand movements, or making an escape would’ve been easier. You didn’t try to pull at them again. They only seemed to get tighter, and it was no use anyway.
The door opened all of a sudden and in walked a tall man with short ash blond hair and tan skin, dressed in a long brown coat. His eyes were framed with clear glasses and he seemed so perfectly ordinary, almost like a young college professor. But nothing about this setting, this investigation room, was ordinary. Nothing ever was in your line of work anyway.
“So,” he spoke after taking the seat across from you. Even his voice was normal and friendly. But you didn’t fall for that anymore. “Rose, is it?”
You gave him a long, hard look and turned your face away. He was unfazed by the action.
“You joined GOT7’s division of the organization JYP when you were nine years old, after your parents died. You’ve trained with them since, becoming what’s known to our world as the Wraith.”
Good for him, you thought dryly. He could memorize words from a file.
“I’m RM.” Still no response. “Let me guess. Only your friends call you Rose.”
“I don’t have any friends,” you said before you could stop yourself.
RM seemed a little satisfied that you were talking now, if not even curious by your first verbal response. “No, I don’t think you would. Most people in your line of work don’t have time for such trivial things.”
“My line of work?” you echoed. “You mean, yours too?”
He shook his head. “What we do is different from what you and your organization does. Our mandate is to protect people and information. To help society even though they don’t realize it. We don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it.”
“Neither do I.”
He leaned back a little like he was taken aback. “I’m sure you didn’t mean to. And it’s not entirely your fault. Your superiors kept information from you—“
“Why am I here?” you cut him off. You were annoyed and angry, because it felt like he was attacking you for things that were out of your control. “So you can tell me that what I’m doing is wrong?”
“I’m giving you a choice,” he said slowly, watching your features contort from suspicion to surprise. “It’s been a while since anyone’s given you that, hasn’t it?”
You didn’t look at him. You didn’t want him to know that he was right. You swallowed hard. “Doesn’t matter.”
“But it should.” He sounded so sincere, like he believed in what he was saying. But then, those were the most dangerous kinds of people. “If you help me, I’ll help you.”
“Help me?” you asked incredulously. “How can you help me?”
“Starting with that collar around you. The one they put on.”
Your hand instinctively went for your neck and the glossy silver choker you were wearing and had been for as long as you could remember. If you thought about it for too long, the memory of the electric shock almost transformed into reality and it was like you were burning again. Realizing that RM was watching you, you quickly dropped your hand in an attempt to show that you didn’t care, but it was too late for that.
“Don’t you see, Rose?” he asked. “They’ve chained you, branded you as their property. But what they didn’t see is that you’re more than just a weapon.”
How can I be more, when that’s all I’ve been my whole life? you thought. There was this visceral longing inside you. A longing that you never dared to feel anymore. Because all it ever brought you was misery.
Your voice was scratchy when you spoke finally. “I don’t know about that. I don’t… I don’t think I know anything at all.”
He looked at you with something like sympathy, though you weren’t sure. You could read pity and hatred from miles away at this point, but not sympathy. Emotions that weren’t cold and indifferent were rare sights back with GOT7.
“I want to help you.”
“Why?” you demanded. “What’s the catch? Do you expect me to believe you’re doing this out of the goodness of your heart?”
RM didn’t look angry like the way someone back in your organization might’ve reacted. In fact, he was waiting for you to start asking the right questions. “All right. We need intel. And it just so happens, you’re a direct source to GOT7 and JYP.”
“You want me to be your spy.”
“Of sorts. I want you to work with us.”
“Us? You mean BigHit.”
“My team, more specifically. The alpha team. We’re called Bangtan Sonyeondan, but you probably know us as BTS.” You did, but you didn’t want to admit it. While BigHit was a notorious organization, BTS was the most notorious of all. You couldn’t count the number of times your team had talked about them. Not in a good way, of course. More so in a want-to-destroy-them way. “We’re just one unit in the entire organization.”
“And you’re in charge?” you asked. You knew you were being somewhat reckless, because if the stories were true, people like BTS were known for catching and eliminating people like you. But you had to take your chances. Because if the stories were true, there was a chance you weren’t walking out of here alive. “So, tell me, RM. What happens to me if I refuse?”
“To you?”
You rolled your eyes, used to people underestimating you. “I’m not stupid. I don’t just get to walk away from this. Not without consequences.”
He gave you a thoughtful look. “You’re right. You’d be walking away, knowing you had a chance to do something different for a change. You’d be making a choice for yourself, rather than acting on someone else’s. So really, the only consequence you’d be facing here is regret.”
At first, you waited for him to add something else and when he didn’t, you couldn’t help but grin, amused. “Is that how you’re planning to convince me? By appealing to my better nature?”
He wasn’t deterred by your attitude. This whole time, he’d been quite straight faced in a way that made you think he was very good at concealing his true emotions. You were never as good in that area, at least not when you weren’t on a mission, playing the role of someone else. In this room, you didn’t know who to be and you were afraid he could tell. “Perhaps out of the goodness of your heart then.”
That was the first time someone had referred to you like that. You chuckled lowly. “What heart?”
RM tapped his fingers on the table lightly. Maybe you were trying to see how far you had to go to get a real reaction from him, to see his shield break and for everything inside to be painted clearly on his face. “Did you know there’s a tracking chip in the collar you’re wearing?” A roll of your eyes told him that you did know. “And at the casino, do you know why it was activated?”
“It was a malfunction—“
“No,” he cut you off. “It wasn’t.”
It took a few seconds for that to sink in. If the collar hadn’t malfunctioned, then someone had purposely activated it. Someone from GOT7.
“If you help me, I’ll give you something in return.”
You tried to push down the feeling of betrayal, not wanting RM to know that he’d gotten to you. “What, revenge? I don’t need anything from you.”
“What about your family?” he asked. “How much do you actually know about them? About yourself?”
You froze, your gaze fixating on the glass wall across from you. It was a two way mirror. You wondered if someone else was watching this, listening to your conversation. Could they see your mind turning over and over, searching through the corners of your memory for something about your parents? Because in the faint blue reflection in the glass, there was a girl with long, red hair and ivory skin, and you could see her trying to find those memories.
Somewhere there, there was an outline of a woman, a whimsical voice calling you Rose, the warmth of being tucked into bed at night. But it was too far away, lost in the darkness.
“Do I have your attention now?”
Your gaze shifted to him, your voice and features hardening. “You’re lying.”
“No,” he said, tilting his head a little as he studied you. “And I think you know that too. I don’t have anything as of right now. But I have people on my team who are experts for this sort of thing. So, Rose. You need to make a choice. How badly do you want to know who your parents are?”
“Hey, there.”
You jumped in your seat, instinctively reaching for anything you could get your hands on before coming to face whoever had interrupted you.
“Woah,” the chestnut haired boy said as he raised his hands in alarm. “It’s just me. Please put the screwdriver down.”
Eyebrows furrowing from confusion, you followed his gaze to realize what you’d grabbed from the table. In the seconds that followed, you remembered the table, and the room, had been practically empty. It was when you noticed the metal box full of small metal parts and tools did you realize he’d brought them with him. Slowly, you set it back down, still eyeing the boy cautiously. “You’re afraid of a screw driver?”
“I’m afraid of what you could potentially do to me with a screwdriver,” he corrected, shrugging with something close to embarrassment. “I’m not trained like the others.”
Maybe it was his reckless honesty that made you admit, “Neither am I.”
His eyebrows scrunched up before he drew out a laugh. To you, it was the sound of bubbling sunlight. “Right. You’re only the most lethal asset that JYP has ever had.”
“No,” you said quietly, turning away from him. “Not like that.”
Despite having gotten a change of clothes— black pants, a shirt and some leather boots—the metal choker was still there. You were glad to get out of the dress from the night before though. At least, you assumed it had been the previous night. Your sense of time had really taken a hit.
The boy’s eyes fix on the collar resting around your throat. “Well, maybe I can help with that.”
Only when you heard the sound of tools clinking did you look up, just in time for the boy to take a step closer to you. You jumped back in your seat instantly. “What are you doing?”
“Don’t worry,” he assured you. “I know what I’m doing.”
“What—”
Before you could stop him, he’d already reached out to inspect the collar. Your first thought was to blast him away. RM had removed the handcuffs, but with the collar, you remembered that you couldn’t do much, not unless you wanted to get electrocuted again. His fingers touching your skin made you want to squirm, but you resisted; it didn’t look like it was his intention to do that to you. In fact, he seemed quite oblivious.
“Hmm,” the boy murmured to himself. “That’s interesting. Haven’t seen technology like this before.”
“So, you can’t get it off?”
He looked up at you, for the first time with confidence instead of the cheery and awkward boy who’d walked into the room. “I didn’t say that. I like a bit of a challenge every now and then.” He grabbed something similar to a screwdriver and a small tablet, but hesitated before bringing the sharp object closer to you. “Can I…?”
You bit your lip as you glanced at it nervously, but then nodded. It took a few minutes of tapping on the screen of his tablet and some turns with the screwdriver and at some point, you thought he’d overestimated his abilities, but then you heard the unmistakable sound of the metal collar unlinking. Your fingers went for your neck and felt the bare skin there left pink and sore after so long of wearing that thing.
Releasing a huge breath, you turned to the boy only to see that he was quite interested in studying the collar now in his hands. “This is some high tech stuff. And dangerous. The amount of current it can send is enough to probably paralyze— oh.” He turned around slowly to look at you again. “That’s why they made you wear it.”
You would’ve noticed the sad way he was looking at you, but you were more focused on the fact that JYP’s literal hold on you was gone. RM was right in that sense. They had chained you and coerced you into doing what they wanted until you no longer needed to be coerced. Everything you’d done this far started out because of them. But did that mean everything that followed was your fault?
“Hey.” You blinked, your eyes focusing on the boy in front of you. He noticed that you’d zoned out, but didn’t comment on it. “So, now that that’s out of the way, let's go.”
“Go where?” you asked, puzzled.
“To eat,” he said like it was obvious. “It’s dinner time.”
He paused near the sliding glass doors, motioning for you to follow him which you did end up doing eventually, deciding that it was better than just sitting there with no information about where you were. You watched him out of the corner of your eye as the two of you walked down the hall. He kept talking about whatever door appeared in your path, not aware of the danger he was in just being in your presence.
He was smart. He had to be. Not anyone could so easily play with GOT7’s technology like it was their school’s science project. He had to know just what you were capable of. So, why wasn’t he running?
“What’s your name?” you asked suddenly, cutting him off.
He wasn’t offended. In fact, his face broke out into a smile. “I’m Hoseok. Bangtan’s official hacker and tech guy. Although, I also like to dabble in cryptology—”
“Bangtan? You work for RM?”
Hoseok frowned slightly. “I work with him. Maybe with GOT7, things were like that, but around here, we’re all a team.”
“You all?” you asked. Your mind flashed back to the casino and the boy with the gray eyes from the elevator. “How many of you are there?”
“We’re a unit of seven,” he answered as they went on walking. He seemed like the kind of person who might not realize that not every detail needed to be said. Things were on a need to know basis, especially when information could literally get you killed. Maybe that was why he wasn’t a field agent. “There’s RM, who’s kind of like our spymaster, so he’s usually in charge. Jin, our medic; Suga, our sharpshooter; then our field agents who each specialize in different areas: V, Jimin, and Jungkook.”
You tried to absorb all the information, but you weren’t required to doing things like that the way Hoseok probably was. You knew RM, but the other names didn’t have faces to them. And the only name you wanted to know was the one who’d helped you back in the casino.
“They were all there, weren’t they? At the casino.”
Hoseok nodded. “Our team was assigned there. To infiltrate—“ He looked away awkwardly. “Ah, I shouldn’t reveal everything right away. At least, not on an empty stomach.”
You stopped in front of a set of large glass doors, glass that was most definitely bulletproof like every door and window you had spotted so far. You wondered if it was built to withstand a power like yours. He typed in some numbers on the holographic keypad—too fast for you to actually memorize any of it.
With another smile, he gestured forward. “After you.”
You glanced inside. You were able to see some hanging chandelier lights over a long wooden table set with a running tablecloth and candles like in a home decor catalogue. Why was there a room like this in this kind of facility?
Taking the long period of silence as hesitation, Hoseok stepped forward first. “There’s no need to be shy.”
Rather than just standing there still, you had little choice but to follow him inside. It was a dining room of some kind, you concluded. And through an archway, a kitchen. On the other side, a living room area set with sofas, rugs, and a flat screen tv. Two people were sitting in front of it, playing a video game. The two boys you’d run into in the casino while searching for the shipments.
“So which one of you just lost at Mario Kart?” Hoseok asked.
“Jimin,” the brunette with the rounder, younger face said. He sat cross legged on a bean bag chair. “For the tenth time in a row.”
The pink haired boy, Jimin, scowled, throwing his controller at the younger one. “I didn’t lose. Jungkook here was cheating.”
“Throwing a red turtle at you is not cheating,” Jungkook argued. “That’s how you win.”
“Of course, you'd say that, you cheating bastard—”
“Anyway,” Hoseok cut them off, finally stepping to the side so that you appeared in their line of sight. “You guys remember Rose. Rose, this is Jimin and Jungkook.”
The two boys practically jumped from their seats, staring at you with wide eyes, but not like you were a bomb about to detonate. There was definitely surprise evident in their features, but not alarm like you were a danger to them. Little did they know, you thought, just how dangerous you could be.
“You were there.” It was you who finally broke the interminable silence, your voice somehow only raising their shock. “I remember seeing you at the casino.”
Jimin cleared his throat, breaking the eye contact he, and Jungkook, had been holding for some reason. “Yeah, that was… that was us.”
“We didn’t know if you were still here,” Jungkook admitted, his eyes falling to the carpet almost shyly. “We thought— well, we thought you’d leave.”
You gave a small shrug. “So did I.”
“All right, which one of you ungrateful assholes ate the salmon I left in the fridge?”
You turned to see a new face enter from the kitchen area. This boy was a few years older than the others, who you guessed were about the same age as yourself. He was tall with broad shoulders and ears turning pinker as his anger rose.
“Why do you always assume it was us?” Jimin demanded. “J-hope is standing right there, you know.”
You must’ve made a confused face, because Hoseok leaned closer to you and whispered, “That’s my codename.”
As you nodded, Jimin looked at him in surprise. “You told her your real name?”
“I haven’t been in the kitchen all day,” the hacker pointed out to the angry boy, ignoring Jimin. “And I’ve been with Rose for the past hour.”
The older boy’s expression morphed as he acknowledged the person in the room who was out of place. “I’m so sorry you had to hear that. These idiots have just been driving me crazy today. Not that that makes today any different from other days. I’m Jin, by the way.”
You didn’t get the chance to reply when Jungkook opened his mouth. “Yeah, you’re always so quick to blame us. What about the others? They’re conveniently not here right now. You know how much Suga likes salmon. Maybe you should ask him about it.”
“Ask me what?”
The boy who appeared from the hallway was shorter than Jin, but his presence seemed to make up for it by the way Jimin and Jungkook pressed their mouths shut. His gaze swept past them until they landed on you who could only stand there and stare back. You didn’t want to show that you were intimidated by him even though his eyes seemed like they could cut through you like glass. This must be the sharpshooter, you guessed.
“Uh, Rose, this is Suga,” Hoseok said, trying to fill in the sudden discomfort.
Suga didn’t say anything as he continued to study you, his head slightly tilted to the side. You knew that calculating look. He was sizing you up, searching for weaknesses, anything that was potentially threatening. By the way the corners of his mouth tugged upwards, it looked like he wasn’t so impressed. And that made something in you start to boil.
“So what was it you wanted to ask me?” Suga asked, his attention reshifting to the previous conversation. You hoped he found that more interesting than you.
“Someone ate all the salmon,” Jin said accusingly as he folded his arms over his chest. “That was supposed to be dinner.”
Without even hesitating, Suga deadpanned, “Which one of you was it?”
Both Jimin and Jungkook cast him offended looks. “I get that you guys like to blame us since we’re younger,” Jungkook began, “but how come no one’s paying attention to the fact that two people are missing right now?”
“Exactly,” Jimin agreed. “Where are RM and V, huh? Perhaps they’re downstairs enjoying a lovely salmon fillet while we’re all here arguing, completely oblivious of their ingenious plan.”
“Aw, that’s sweet, Jimin. You think my plan’s ingenious.”
It was unmistakably him. You watched as the gray eyed boy moved inside the room from the doorway. He was grinning faintly, his hair just as long and dark as you remembered. But now you could tell that his features weren’t just soft; his face was angular and chiseled like a sculpture. If you’d already been introduced to everyone else, this must have been V.
“I’m afraid to admit then that I have no idea what you’re talking about,” V told them. He stopped in his tracks as his gaze fell on you, morphing into recognition and something else. He opened his mouth slightly, like he wanted to say something, but wasn’t sure what. You knew that feeling too.
“Then I guess it had to be RM,” Jungkook said, his voice fading into the background. Strangely, it seemed like you and the gray eyed boy were the only ones in the room.
Finally breaking eye contact, V looked away from you, and when you blinked, it was like blinking back into reality. “RM is in a meeting right now.”
“He won’t be joining us for dinner then, I presume,” Jin said with a small sigh.
“What’s the meeting for?” Jimin asked.
The second V hesitated, Suga decided to speak. “What do you think? The entire operation blew up. There has to be a shit ton of reports and things to fix and cover up.”
Jungkook winced. “Was it really that bad?”
Hoseok gave a half shrug. “Well, I mean the target did get away.”
“But we prevented the shipments from getting into the wrong hands, didn’t we?” Jimin said. “And a potential massacre. The whole casino could’ve been blown up.”
“It could’ve.” Suga’s eyes flickered over to you. “At least we managed to get the bomb out of there.”
This time, you didn’t bother to hide your annoyance. “What did you just call me?”
“Suga,” V warned.
The raven haired boy just shrugged. “I’m just saying what we’re all thinking. I mean, what’s stopping her from doing the same thing right now that she was going to do last night?”
He was right about that, at least. You were ready to flick your wrist and fling him into the wall just to hear his bones crack. That was just a start.
“If I’d had any say in it, I wouldn’t have just let you go.”
“Well, you didn’t,” you spoke finally. To your surprise, you were coming off pretty calm, relative to the anger surging under your skin that you were trying to suppress. “So it seems to me that what you think doesn’t matter.” You saw his eyes flash with anger, but you didn’t care. “But if it makes you feel better, you’re right. I could blow this place up faster than you can blink.” That wasn’t completely true, but you didn’t need them to know that.
Jimin and Jungkook’s eyes widened while Hoseok gulped nervously. Jin didn’t seem as outwardly scared, but you could tell by the way he shifted that your statement had put him a little on edge. The only one besides Suga who didn’t react with fear was V. He gave a small sigh, shaking his head to himself.
“Suga, this isn’t necessary,” he said.
But the sharpshooter’s focus was on you, as dangerous as if he was pointing a gun at you. “Are you threatening me?”
“And what if I am?” you said recklessly.
V stepped forward abruptly, his hand on Suga’s shoulder. “Okay, that’s enough.”
Suga looked like he had to force himself to remove the glare he was directing at you. With V, he shared a brief glance, nonverbal words being exchanged between them. Whatever it was, it somehow made Suga relax enough to put aside his anger.
Jin cleared his throat. “Uh, anyway. Besides the salmon, dinner is ready.”
You sat between Hoseok and Jungkook. Hoseok was someone you still didn’t quite trust, but was more comfortable around, and Jungkook seemed harmless despite being professionally trained in combat; he could hardly make eye contact with you without looking down at his hands all flustered. You’d consciously avoided sitting next to Suga, who was some seats away from you, and V, who was across from you.
The others had helped Jin set up the table. There was roasted potato, vegetables, butter rolls, kimchi fried rice, and a chicken dish. He’d apologized about having to reheat leftover chicken since the salmon was still missing, but you had said there was nothing to apologize for. All of it looked and smelled heavenly to you. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d had a good meal like this, something that wasn’t flavourless soup and dry bread.
You watched as the boys began piling their plates, passing dishes around the table while talking and laughing. Hoseok glanced your way shortly before starting to load your plate with potatoes. “There’s no need for formalities here,” he said, shooting you a friendly smile.
You made an attempt to return the smile, but was aware that it probably seemed a bit strained. “I just haven’t done this sort of thing before.”
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know.” You gestured around him with a hand. “This. Sitting together, eating… like everything’s normal.”
He chuckled. “Well, nothing about us is normal, really. Nothing about you either. But that’s okay here. Actually, that is kind of our normal.”
You noticed the way his face lit up as he gazed around the table at the people he considered his friends. It was a luxury you’d never gotten. “How long have you been here?”
He pursed his lips, thinking. “Well—“
“He’s been here longer than me,” Jimin answered. Apparently, he’d heard your question, and now the rest of the table turned their way too. “And I came to BigHit when I was around thirteen.”
They were kind of like you, you realized. They’d gotten roped into this sort of life since they were still kids.
“How old are you, anyway?”
“Hm?”
“How old are you?” Jimin repeated, chewing on his roll. “You seem pretty young.”
So do you, you wanted to say. “Uh, I’m twenty two.”
“Oh, you’re the same age as Jungkook. He’s kind of the baby of the group.”
Jungkook scowled at him, but his cheeks were pink. “Am not.”
Jimin ignored him. “The rest of us are in our twenties too. Jin is the oldest.”
“I think that much is obvious,” Jin said. “Your maturity level next to mine is like nothing.”
“Jungkook and Jimin’s maturity level next to anyone’s is nothing,” V joked. As the rest of them, besides the two mentioned boys, laughed along with him, you found your gaze drifting towards him. He seemed to fit in so well here in this place with people who wanted him. You could feel a part of yourself ache on the inside, and you wondered if it was because that part longed to be wanted too.
“Rose.”
It was Hoseok’s voice that shook you from your thoughts. “What?”
“You okay?” he asked. “You’re kind of zoning out again.”
“I’m fine.” You were glad he didn’t continue to push it. But from across, you could feel another set of eyes burning into you and looked up to see V staring back at you.
“Great, everyone’s here.”
The table came to a quick silence as they looked to see RM enter the room. The way the atmosphere shifted showed that they all really respected him, despite being around the same age. You noticed he wasn’t wearing his glasses anymore, revealing the weariness on his face. A part of you wondered what exactly had happened in that meeting. He took a seat at the head of the table.
“How was the meeting?” V asked him.
“That’s what I’m here to talk about.”
“Maybe this should wait,” Suga suggested, eyes darting briefly to your figure. “Wouldn’t want sensitive information to get in the enemies’ hands.”
To your surprise, it was Hoseok who came to your defence. “Really, Suga?”
Before the sharpshooter could respond, RM was talking again. “Rose stays. She needs to hear this too.”
You turned to him in mild surprise, which was nothing compared to Suga’s astonishment. A younger, more immature part of you wanted to gloat but decided that now wasn’t the best time.
“What’s going on?” Jimin asked.
“As you know already, GOT7 wasn’t the only team at the casino last night,” RM explained. “There are others after the same thing. The value and demand of ashe is increasing every day, and that puts more pressure on us. We know that EXO ships the drug, but we don’t know who’s making it.”
“What if we follow EXO?” Suga asked. “They could lead us to the ashe.”
“We’ve tried that already,” Hoseok said, shaking his head. “EXO never keeps the drug at SM headquarters, possibly at one of their warehouses. It looks like they get it delivered from another source.” His voice became quieter, almost embarrassed. “Which we haven’t been able to track.”
“So, the problem is that we don’t know who makes it,” Jungkook summarized.
“What would that do?” Jin asked. “How do we know other organizations don’t have the means to make it?”
“Because then its value would go down,” V answered. “And it wouldn’t be such a big deal for everyone to try and get their hands on. And as far as we know, that hasn’t happened.”
“Or maybe that’s what they want us to think,” Jimin mumbled.
Jin studied RM’s expression. “There’s something else, isn’t there?”
RM sighed. “While the shipments were being transported to one of BigHit’s warehouses last night, they were intercepted. We presume they made it to where they were intended to go and are now available to the public from the top companies and dealers.”
The others glanced at each other in surprise and consternation. “What are we up against at this point?” V said like he was thinking out loud, but had also voiced everyone else’s thought.
“That’s what we need to find out,” RM said. “And that’s where Rose comes in.”
Jimin frowned, looking around the room to see the others’ similar expressions. “What do you mean?”
“We couldn’t figure everything out because we didn’t always have the means,” he explained then looked over at you. “But now we do. Rose is a direct connection to GOT7, for starters.”
Suga scoffed. “Exactly. She’ll report back everything we’re saying to them if we just let her go.” You rolled your eyes at this, though no one noticed. “Look, RM, I know you call the shots, but seriously, did you really think this one through?”
You were expecting RM to glare or shout or just react in some form of anger, but he was more composed than you thought. “I know it sounds risky. But we’ve exhausted all possible options. We weren’t getting anywhere further.”
More than angry, the way Suga was looking at the leader was one of betrayal. And it reminded you a little of yourself when RM had revealed to you that a member from GOT7 had compromised you. “What happened to consulting us before making big decisions?”
“This was kind of a big decision,” Jimin agreed reluctantly. “We could’ve talked about it, at least.”
“I know,” RM said. He didn’t sound apologetic, although maybe he was inside. A leader didn’t apologize for their decisions. You’d learned that by now. “But the board has already agreed, and want us to get to work immediately.”
Suga shook his head, and chuckled darkly. “If this ends with all of us dead, don’t say I didn’t fucking warn you.”
When he got up suddenly, the table shook and startled you. No one tried to stop him, but a few did exchange nervous glances.
“I should go talk to him,” V said quietly. “Try to get him to calm down and see things a little more clearly.”
RM nodded at him as he left. You didn’t expect any of them to like this idea. You didn’t like it yourself, but you didn’t have much of a choice. You were hoping the rest of the team would understand that and possibly not make it more difficult for you. That was why you were glad that V didn’t seem to be completely against the idea.
Jimin was biting his lip before he met your eyes. “Why did you agree to help us?”
Your lips parted, taken aback and not expecting such as a question. Thankfully, RM filled in for you. “We discovered that someone from GOT7 didn’t have Rose’s best interests in mind. So I made her a deal. She helps us in exchange for her freedom.”
You frowned slightly. Why didn’t he tell them the whole truth?
RM could sense Jimin’s hesitation. “I know it sounds risky. But Rose isn’t just a normal operative agent. She’s the Wraith, capable of doing so much more than us.”
“That’s exactly what Suga was saying,” Jimin told him. “If she has these abilities—that we don’t even fully understand— if she can do more than us, can we really trust her?”
You didn’t know why, but his words almost stung. You’d heard that before. You’d been marginalized and cast aside because of what you could do that no other human being could. People were scared of what they didn’t understand. You shouldn’t care what they thought, and maybe you didn’t. But you needed at least some of the team to somewhat accept you if you wanted answers.
“You’re smart not to.” Jimin’s eyes widened momentarily in surprise when you started talking. “I wouldn’t trust an outsider either. But I’m not asking you to completely trust me, or even like me. The reality is that someone at GOT7 betrayed me; I can’t go back there, and I don’t want to. So, we have a common interest now. I want to find where ashe is made, and who makes it just as much as you do.”
“Why does GOT7 want it then?” Jin asked.
You shrugged. “The same reason anyone wants it. Money, power. If they had control over the most highly demanded and expensive drug in the country, they’d have so much of both. Every company would look to them. They would get to call the shots.”
“And you? Is that what you wanted?”
You looked away from him after some time, unsure of yourself now. It felt strange that ever since coming to Bangtan, you were being given options from everywhere after so long of just following orders. Truthfully, you didn’t care much for money or power, not the way some of your team in GOT7 did. You’d rather they find ashe and the creators and put the entire thing to rest. Ashe could just become another everyday drug, an ordinary topic and this chaos would come to an end.
“No,” you answered finally. Your voice was firm, but what was underneath was something more vulnerable. Because you’d never been asked before about what you wanted; you’d never gotten to think of yourself. “But it didn’t matter what I wanted.”
You felt a pair of eyes shift towards you, and you could just tell that Hoseok was looking at you with sympathy. Jimin, however, was contemplative. You’d gotten him to think, but he was still wary. That was okay though. That was just a start.
“I believe you.” To your surprise, the quiet voice came from the boy sitting beside you. Jungkook was still seemingly uncomfortable making direct eye contact, but he nodded assuringly before looking to the others. “I think RM is right. We have information and resources we didn’t have before. We have to give it a shot, at least.”
RM met Jungkook’s eyes and nodded at him. In the short exchange, you saw the older boy’s face soften. It was clear that despite being the leader and older than him, RM cared what Jungkook, and the others, thought. It was strange how you could only tell something about him through his interactions with his team.
“I think that’s all for today,” he said. “Hoseok, will you show Rose where she’ll be staying?”
The hacker nodded mutely before standing up and moving towards the door. He didn’t say anything to you, but you assumed you were to follow him. Even minutes later when the two of you were in the elevator, he didn’t say anything, which you thought was a bit uncharacteristic, despite just meeting him some hours ago.
“Sorry,” he said, finally breaking the silence. “I was just thinking.”
“It’s fine,” you said, shrugging. “You don’t owe me anything.”
“It’s not that I don’t trust you or I’m mad at you,” he went on. “I just—I’m worried what this decision is going to mean for the team.”
What you were going to mean, you thought. It was already clear what your presence was doing. Suga hated you, Jimin didn’t trust you. What if being here would only do more harm than good?
“I’m not trying to cause drama,” you began. “I know that I’m not like you guys.”
Hoseok frowned. “What do you mean?"
“One of the good guys. And I won’t try to be something that I’m not. But I made a promise, and I’m going to stick with it."
There was a longer silence after that, but you weren’t bothered anymore. Eventually, Hoseok stopped in front of a door. “So, this is your room. A bunch of us are just down the hall, the rest are on the other side…” His gaze was moving from here to there, like he was trying to figure out what else to say. “I guess if you need something—“
“Yeah. Got it.” You wanted to punch yourself for coming off as too blunt and unemotional, because this was the kind of person who seemed to be the opposite. And he’d probably been the nicest to you out of everyone. But this was how you were trained. And if you were going to be working with any of them, that was how it should be.
He gave you a nod and halfway smile. “Well, good night.”

how do bucky and leila get along? how does her presence affect the way steve and bucky interact during tws and cw?
Oh, I LOVE this question. So I’ve always seen Bucky and Leila as having a sort of antagonistic relationship at first, mostly because they’re lowkey fighting over who Steve loves more lmao. At this point, though, I see this toned down a bit on Bucky’s side due to Anya’s presence.
Without Anya, Steve is basically Bucky’s only link to the present, and seeing him building a life with someone else, moving on from their shared past, makes him feel lost, like he has nothing to hold onto.
With Anya, though, by the time Bucky meets Steve again as himself in CW (or rather, in Under Siege, which is my replacement plotline for cw--it still achieves the end goal of splitting up the avengers, but goes about it somewhat differently), he’s gotten attached to Anya, and they’ve sort of become each others’ anchors. So Bucky is less dependent on his relationship with Steve to ground him in the present.
I was gonna put a read more here but tumblr won’t let me...rip your dash (UPDATE! Managed a rm!)
Still, I do think there is some tension between the two because of their respective relationships with Steve, which I’ll get into in a second. First, TWS: Leila’s presence doesn’t really change anything about Steve and Bucky’s interactions, simply because Steve and Leila for most of the movie aren’t on good terms. Not only are they not together, there’s actively some bad blood between them, and Steve in particular is very distrustful of her to the point of questioning whether she’s actually Hydra. (Leila replies by implying that he’s Hydra--”someone as self-righteous as you could justify just about anything to himself, don’t you think?”--although it’s more out of spite than any real suspicion.)
This dynamic continues up until the end of the arc, where Leila risks her life by giving up her healing ability to help stop project insight. (I’m still fuzzy on the details here, but that’s the basic premise for her redemption.) Between this, and Leila telling him about her past, it’s the turning point for their relationship; they become friends again, start growing closer, they help each other grow (for example: Leila is the one who talks Steve into telling Tony that Bucky killed his parents), until they eventually, finally, get together in AoU.
But none of that exists in TWS yet; whatever friendship they had pre-C:SW has basically been shattered, and they haven’t started repairing it. So Leila’s just not a big enough factor in Steve’s life at that point in time to impact how he relates to Bucky. That doesn’t come in until Under Siege, whether Steve and Leila are together.
I think that at that point Leila in particular has a lot of insecurity over Steve’s past life--part of her feels like she’s a consolation prize, that Steve’s life with her and the Avengers is just some fluke and he was really meant to stay in the 1940s and have a life there. And having Bucky around just compounds that for her. She’s scared that Steve’s going to realize that Leila isn’t good enough compared to what he could have had, and that he’d rather be alone than be with her.
(It’s funny because Steve, meanwhile, by this point is pretty convinced that him going into the ice was destiny, or God’s will, or something, specifically because it brought him to Leila, and Bucky re-entering his life really only makes him more sure of that. I like Steggy a lot but I think Leila forces growth in Steve that Peggy never really did, and I think Steve is aware of that. All he’s ever wanted was to be a good man. Peggy helped him believe he could, but Leila makes him better.
Obligatory Taylor Swift lyric: “Look in my eyes, they will tell you the truth / the girl in my story has always been you” from the Lover remix ft. Shawn Mendes)
So that’s Leila side of things that makes her vaguely cold towards Bucky. Then on Bucky’s side, it’s toned down like I said due to Anya’s presence in his life, but he still feels a sort of discrepancy about how Leila factors into his relationship with Steve--like, if Steve’s managed to move on so much, does he actually really love Bucky? (Platonically or otherwise, your choice.) Bucky knows it’s irrational but it’s a neurosis he has trouble shaking. Bucky and Steve were the most important people in each other’s lives for a long time; Bucky only broke free of Hydra because of Steve. And yeah, he’s happy that Steve found someone to ground him, that he found happiness, but it’s still hard.
(It’s funny because Bucky has this part of him that thinks Steve stopped caring when in actuality a lot of how Leila and Steve got close in the first place was through Leila helping Steve look for Bucky. They probably wouldn’t have grown as close as they did if Steve didn’t care as much about Bucky as he does.)
Bucky could probably muscle through it if Leila wasn’t like, weirdly cold to him though, because he doesn’t know why. It never even occurs to him that //Leila// could be jealous of //him//. This tension causes them to start snarking at each other, while Steve tries to keep the peace between them, because this is the love of his life and his best friend and he wants them to get along so why won’t they just cooperate. It’s frustrating for him.
Eventually this tension is somewhat resolved when they’re forced into hiding. A big part of it has to do with Anya. It’s a weird trait for a spy/assassin to have, but Anya’s very good at resolving tension and keeping the peace, and she’s hard not to like. She and Leila end up striking up a friendship, and from there she manages to mediate between Leila and Bucky, and they eventually reach a sort of understanding.
I think, eventually, Leila and Bucky manage some semblance of friendship, although neither would ever admit it. They bond over having been brainwashed and feeling guilty over things they’ve done, and they have similar senses of humor as well. They keep snarking back and forth, but the malice behind it kind of disappears.
This all happens very gradually and Steve isn’t sure how it happens or what to make of it, but he is grateful, although he still wishes they’d bicker less.
(Plot point: I could see this mutual tension getting to the point where Bucky says something to Leila that’s way over the line, and Steve sticks up for her, which causes Bucky to storm off. Steve would also stick up for Bucky if it was Leila that went over the line, but I don’t think she would, not out of principle or anything but because she’s just that terrified of losing Steve. Bucky, for all his insecurity, knows that he and Steve will always be in each others lives, even if their roles change; whereas there’s still a part of Leila that thinks that Steve’s going to realize he can do better and leave her.
This plot point could be the catalyst for Bucky and Leila finally finding some peace, though, because there was a point where Leila did lash out like that, and she can definitely understand where it comes from, and I think, weirdly, whatever Bucky said to her ended up humanizing him to her a lot.)
By the time IW rolls around, they’re on good enough terms that Leila mourns him when he gets snapped. And by the time Steve and Leila get married after Endgame, she trusts him enough to let him be present for the wedding--the actual wedding ceremony, that is, not the reception. Plenty of people are invited to the reception; the actual ceremony itself is, at Leila’s demand, extremely small, consisting of Steve and Leila, the priest, Sam and Bucky on Steve’s side, and Tony and Anya on Leila’s. (And possibly Isabella; I’m still deciding.)
Anyways. As for how Leila impacts Steve and Bucky’s relationship in Under Siege: I think Steve’s attention is kind of split between them, whereas in cw he was pretty hyperfocused on Bucky, in US he’s also focused on trying to figure out what’s going on with Leila and why she’s acting so cold. I think there’s also already some tension between Leila and Steve bc the accords, while not as big of a factor, do exist, and while Steve is steadfastly against them under any circumstances, Leila has suggested that if the plan to sidestep them doesn’t work, they should try to negotiate a better deal out of them (not accepting them as they are, but trying to work with them).
(I think these responses come down to this: on Steve’s side, I think the Hydra thing left him with a lot of moral injury, and that’s why he’s hesitant to operate under another organization--he’s not even thrilled about the Avengers answering to SWORD, and only really agrees to it because he trusts Leila, who helped build it.
Part of Leila takes that personally, she feels like Steve not trusting SWORD means he doesn’t trust her, and part of her thinks that maybe he’s right not to. Leila herself has a lot of moral injury, because of the things she’s done but also stemming back to her childhood and how she was talked to and about, and ideas she internalized--and part of her still thinks she’s not capable of doing good.
On Leila’s side, I think she’s just desperate to keep the team together because she doesn’t quite know what she’d do without it. I don’t think she’s aware that that’s her motivation, but it is a big part of it. It also goes back to the moral injury thing--Leila finds solace in the Avengers because she feels like working as a team, she’s able to do good, and she’s scared she won’t be able to be a good person without them.)
So Steve’s attention is somewhat split between her and Bucky during US, which only leads to more insecurity on Bucky’s part.
I think? This answered your question although I know I rambled a lot lol sorry.
Tl;dr:
-Bucky and Leila are initially threatened by each other’s relationship with Steve so they have a relatively cold, snarky relationship
-Eventually this comes to a head when Bucky crosses a line, and it weirdly makes Leila see him in a new, more sympathetic light, which helps them find some common ground.
-Anya also plays a role in them developing a better relationship.
-Leila doesn’t really change Steve and Bucky’s dynamic in tws, because she and Steve aren’t on good terms at that point.
-In Under Siege (the replacement arc for Civil War), the big change is that Steve’s attention, instead of being hyperfocused on Bucky as in CW, is split between the two of them, which only causes more jealousy from both of them.

Under Fire - Pt 5
Masterlist | <Previous | Next >
Title: Under Fire Word Count: 4K+ Rating: M Genre: Gang AU, Drama Warnings: Violence Pairings: Hyung Line x Reader (Primarily Namjoon x Reader), very slight OT7 x Reader. Pairings (in this chapter): V x Reader, Namjoon x Reader, JK x Reader (small part, I promise he’ll get more time soon)
Summary: As a child you lived among the most wealthy and powerful, after the death of your mother you were shipped off to stay with her sister. Even after finishing your education you continue to live apart from the elite, but a visit home creates an unexpected disaster. You are suddenly roped into a darker world, and who better to be your guide than the infamous gang known as BTS.
A/N: Going forward you are going to see other k-pop groups popping up more and more. It makes it so much more readable to include other groups than OCs. For a GangAU you need a lot of additional characters. I know that I am not portraying them perfectly, but well... someone has to play the villain...
Chapter 5 - The Art of Evasion
POV (Y/N)
The next morning you wake encircled by Namjoon. His arms are cradling your head to his chest. His cheek rests on the top of your head. You both are still lying on the lawn chair in the cold morning air, sun peeking out behind the skyline.
The brightness however, isn’t what wakes you. That action lies with Suga, a pot, and a wooden spoon.
“What the hell Suga?” Yells Namjoon.
“Just trying to scare the pigeons away from you.” He says in his lethargic tone.
Namjoon looks to the sky, it’s empty.
“Pigeons... Really Suga? If you were jealous just say so.”
You instantly flare with a blush.
“Even if I was jealous, at least I am not taking advantage of her while she is in a vulnerable state. That would just be inconsiderate.”
Namjoons arms suddenly fling up over his head as if in surrender.
Suga cracks a smirk and leaves.
“Wow, that got to you didn’t it?” You ask. “Suga was just pushing your buttons. I am an adult, I can make my own decisions.”
He checks his watch, “We should head to the kitchen, the others will be waking up and we need to discuss plans for the day.”
On your first attempt to get up you want to vomit. You clutch your head and groan.
“Hangover?” You make a pointing gesture with your finger at him in confirmation. Fearful of opening your mouth. He laughs, “You have my permission to blame it on Suga.”
“Thanks but I just built that bridge, I don’t think I want to risk burning it.”
Suga was in front of the stove when you enter, the other members starting to pour in too.
“Why is Suga up so early?” V yawns.
“He’s on breakfast duty this week for almost poisoning (Y/N), while simultaneously giving Jin a heart attack.” There is a clatter of pans as Suga continues his work, while ignoring Namjoon. You go over to help Suga feeling equally responsible, but he wordlessly points you to a seat.
Suga places dishes in front of each of you consisting of eggs and toast. You look over at Namjoon’s plate to see that the toast is far darker than your own, and there seems to be a crunch to his eggs as he bites into them. Namjoon finishes off his plate but glares at Suga the entire time, Suga just smirks back at him.
“Any suspicious behaviour from VIXX?” Namjoon asks Hope.
“No, I think that they were just heading there for a drink, it didn’t seem like they knew that Suga and (Y/N) were going to be there.”
“Good, we will have to call the Rail Bar off limits for now though, just in case. (Y/N), V is going to take you to the bank today to meet with the lawyer and manager who handles your Father’s accounts. Jimin and JHope will be stationed nearby. JK will be monitoring.” You smile at JK warmly, feeling bad for not having a chance to speak with him yet.
“The new clothes are on your bed,” J-Hope informs you with his mouth full.
“I’ll be down here when you’re ready.” States V.
You step out of the Kitchen and Jin follows, “How’s your shoulder?” He asks he accompanies you upstairs. “I would like to take a look at it, probably change the bandage too. Meet me in my office after you shower.”
Hair still damp you wrap yourself in a towel and head to the small infirmary that is Jin’s office. You did not expect to collide with a tall dark haired statue outside your door. JK grabs your waist to steady you, but once he realizes what you’re wearing quickly lets go. A blush creeps onto his face he looked down at the floor and stutters.
“Sorry, I wanted to talk to you before you left. I didn’t mean to catch you like this.”
“It’s fine, Jin just asked to change my bandage before we head out. I’ve wanted to say thank you for your help the other day, without you I wouldn’t have made it out.”
“It was nothing,” he says shyly. “RM says that you are pretty tech savvy yourself, I was hoping once you were finished with the bank that you could assist me with creating a line to your set up in Busan. I figured it would be less intrusive to use your door to access the police database then create my own.
“Ah, he told you about that did he? Of course, and I would love to see your setup here.” You start to twist your hair into a knot. “I’m self taught and new to the skill so I would love any advice or help you can give.”
“Hacking the BPD is impressive, there’s no way you are a noob.”
“It’s just a piggy back.”
JK seems much more relaxed discussing a topic that he knows well. But it doesn’t last long when he accidentally glances back down. “I’ll come find you once I’m back.” You say essentially offering him a chance to bail. He takes it nodding his eyes wide as he hurries around the corner.
You spot Jin leaning against the the doorway of the infirmary. “Is he always so shy?”
“Just with new people, soon you won’t be able to shut him up.” He looks down at your towel, “Your state of dress probably didn’t help either.”
Jin gestures to the table so he could get a good look at your injury under the light.
You inhale sharply as he takes the bandage off.
“It’s healing well, still no sign of infection.” His eyes are on the wound but his mind seems to be elsewhere. “RM and I are planning the memorial for tomorrow. I hope that we did not overstep. Is there anything that you might like to include?”
“No, you clearly knew him better than I did. Thank you for setting it up.”
“It’ll just be us there, is that okay?”
You nod smiling through the pain. You understand, that it’s time to put your mask back on, and face reality in your new role, heir to the billionaire philanthropist. “Keeping everything out of the spotlight would probably be for the best.”
Hope had laid out a black pencil skirt and green blouse with a trench coat. Coat in hand you make your way downstairs. V is at the door along with Namjoon, Jhope and Jimin.
“You can tell that Hope dressed you, that boy loves green. I’ll have to take you shopping sometime.” V comments.
“He does does he?” You eye him carefully as he stands next to you. While the rest are receiving orders you lean over to Hope. “Sales clerk picked them out huh?”
“She asked for my favourite colour what was I supposed to say?”
“That it wasn’t for your girlfriend you dork, you could have just invented a friend in the hospital or something.”
He gives you a nervous smile, as he helps you put on your coat.
Once Namjoon has finished talking to the rest of the group, he turns to you. “Henry will meet you at the bank, he’s your father’s lawyer and has handled your father’s accounts for several years. V is the best at handling the legal aspects. If you have any questions, he can help.”
He looks down at you grabbing your shaking hands, “This is the easy part I promise, just a few dotted lines to sign.”
He could tell you are getting nervous. This isn’t your first choice. You could say no, however that would be a disadvantage, not only to the team, but also your father’s foundation.
J-Hope and Jimin sit in the front, you are seated in the back with V, who has matched your formal attire with a suite. The drive there is quiet. V would look over at you every now and then with a side glance.
When you pull up to the bank V opens the door and holds out his hand to take yours. As he guides you up the marble steps he whispers, “No need to be worried, if anything they should be nervous. You could shut this whole bank down by simply demanding your money. Actually, let’s try it, give them a bit of a scare.”
You chuckle, “Thanks V, I’ll be sure to keep that in mind.” When you reach the top a younger gentleman bows to you. “Miss (L/N)?” You are taken aback. In Busan you went by your mother’s maiden name (L/N), while everyone in Seoul called you Park. Hearing it again makes you feel like your life is split in two. Sensing your apprehension he corrects himself, “Forgive me would you prefer Miss Park?”
V introduced him before you can answer, “(Y/N) this is Lau Henry, he will be assisting you now, he has agreed to continue to conduct your father's business under your name.”
You greet him with a nod, “Park is more suitable going forward.”
“He was in charge of drafting the will and has known about you for some time.” V says darkly.
“The information was all there you just had to know where to look V.”
“How was I to expect that he would keep a daughter hidden?!”
“Of course a man of his wealth and status would have a child, what did you think would happen when he passed?”
“I don’t know I thought that he might adopt RM, take him on as an heir.”
Your anxiety immediately goes into overdrive. Oh god is that what they thought? Are they bitter because Namjoon wasn’t the heir? Are they just pandering until they could take the money from you? Do they just see you as an obstacle to overcome? The possibilities keep popping into you mind, each one worse than the last.
As you are being lead into the bank you are introduced to several people but you can’t hear a word that anyone was saying. You are drowning in your own head.
You wish V wasn’t so perceptive. Apologizing for your inattentiveness and trying to shield you from the barrage of legal information. Your heart continues to beat at a racing pace, your breathing shallow. The lawyers leave the room for a moment to grab the documents needed. V reached for you hand, “Just a couple of signatures and we are out of here. Think of something that brings focus to your mind it’ll help you relax. I personally like think of ways I could rob these crooks,” He smiles.
“An interesting method,” You laugh at his joke, thankful for the distraction, that interrupts your thoughts.
“Real money can be messy, acquiring the zeros digitally would be safer and less trackable, but also less fun,” he adds.
“Wait, you’re serious?”
“Of course, you need...” V suddenly zones out mid sentence. “Yep I see them JK.”
V is obviously listening to a conversation in his earpiece. You are flustered having been once again left in the dark.
“How the hell am I supposed to know who they are with, I’m not the one with the database in front of me.” He continues to bicker with the voices in his ear.
Your temper rises, “Who do you have to fuck to get an earpiece?” You mutter darkly hoping he would catch on to your annoyance.
V instantly shut down. “Ah sorry, that would be me... not that you need to exchange sexual favours for a radio, I’m just in charge of tech.” He pulled a new ear piece out of his breast pocket. “JK put ear piece 2 - 1 - Charlie - Golf on the channel, listed as Fire.”
He placed a hand under my chin as he put the bud in my ear. “Fit okay?” You nod. “My mic is in here,” He taps his collar, “Sorry I don’t have an extra one of those, but mine should be able to pick you up.”
“Okay guys let's keep the crassness to a minimum, Fire is online. First person to swear has to answer to Jin.”
“Welcome Fire.” I could hear the smile in J Hope's voice. Hearing your old nickname comforts you.
“No existing records that I can see.” JK must have still been trying to work out who they were.
“Can I take a closer look?”
“No stay at your post Jimin. I don’t want them catching on that we know. They must be new blood.”
“They are probably just following you to get a location when you return to the base.” V turns to you unexpectedly, “What do you think we should do in this case Fire?”
You are confused but his interest in your opinion but decide to play along. “Ignore them, let them follow until we can get to a busy place with lots of turns and escape routes.”
“Looks like we are going to the art museum,” V smiles.
“Are you even allowed in there V?” asks Jimin.
“I am as long as they don’t recognize me.”
Henry and the bankers chose this time to return to the office preventing you from asking V why he wouldn’t be allowed in.
You began to sign the papers in a daze as the conversation in your head continues.
“Nope definitely not allowed in they have a mug shot on the banned list, I doubt they would be able to identify him now I mean look at that hair!”
“Send me a pic JK,” Jimin whines.
“Check your phone it’s already there.”
“Ha hair, more like lack of, nice buzz cut.”
V’s face is blank. He takes out his phone types a quick message and then returns it to his pocket.”
“You could try beating me to a fucking pulp, but I don’t think you would last one round.”
Once again V take out his phone.
“I didn’t swear in front of her I was just reading your text, aishhh Jin is going to kill me.”
You see a slight smile slide onto V’s face.
“Miss Park that should be it, I will have a financer contact you later on to go over your plans for the foundation, and your own funds. I am sure that you would like some time to process before you dive into it.”
“Yes thank you. That would be the best course of action.”
“The transfers will take tonight so you should have access to your funds by tomorrow.”
One of the bankers stood up. “Congratulations Miss Park, you are now one of the richest people in Korea.” He boasts.
You snap at his smug grin, “Congratulations? Tell me do you think I am proud I watched my father die in front of me? Do you think I enjoyed it? That is the only reason I am hear after all, am I to be congratulated for his demise? Believe me when I say, I would gladly give away every dime of that inheritance to bring him back.” You can hear shouts of agreement over the earpiece.
“My apologies mamame I did not intend to insult you.”
“No, no of course not... I’m sure it would not be an insult coming from someone who values wealth over human life.” You turn to Henry, “We should consider changing financial establishments I am not sure that I trust the way that they conduct business here. If you could contact other banking institutions on my behalf I would like to meet with them.”
Henry nods taking down notes with a small smile. The bank manager is in shock. “Madame I am truly sorry for the offense. How can we insure that we keep your patronage?” The formality coming from a man of his age towards you is almost enough to make me laugh. You have him scared shitless.
“Perhaps we could continue this meeting with Lunch at La Yeon?” He suggests
“So you can wine and dine me? You continue to dig yourself a deeper hole. Show me that you and your bank can actually work for a community for once instead of bleeding it dry. Then maybe I will allow you to continue holding my father’s fortune.”
You turn your back on their ninety degree bows, V at your side beaming. You say goodbye to Henry at the lobby exit. V pulls you into an alcove over at the side. “Your father would have been proud of how you handled yourself in there.”
You smile back at him. You knew going in they would try to take advantage you and your situation, keeping them on their toes would be the easiest way to show you would not be controlled.
“Ready for the next test?”
“Two hawks still hovering,” JK comments.
“Right, let’s move.” He offered his arm to me, “Best to look as natural as possible, as if we are on our way to the museum for a date.”
“Don’t push it V,” Scolds Hope.
“As friends of course,” V adds trying to cover his intentions.
You take his arm as you exit the bank.
“We will meet you guys there, the second you lose them head to the car it’ll be at the back entrance.”
“Jimin stay on as driver, JHope will be extraction backup for emergencies only. The less attention we can draw the better. Fire is still the center of the news cycle, we don’t need another scene just yet.” JK informs them of their roles.
You couldn’t help but speed up your pace as you walk down the street.
“Whoa slow it down, we need to give the others time to set up the route, and you don’t want to let on that we know. I am going to point at this very uninteresting bakery on the right, you are going to look at it, laugh and see if you can spot the hawks out of the corner of your eye.”
You do just that, noticing two people that didn’t fit with the surrounding crowd.
“Two sore thumbs in suites?”
V confirms, “Bingo! JK do you have the museum’s cameras online yet?”
“Yeah busy day there it’ll be easy to loose them in the crowd. It looks like they shut down the back west portion for renovations. It’s completely empty, might be a good place to break away and make a run for it I can turn off the alarms on the doors so you will go unnoticed, but V will need to grab a key..”
“Any idea on who they are with yet?” V asks
“Still nothing turning up in the database.” JK sighs in disappointment.
“Damn, I would really like to know who we are about to piss off.”
“Based on proximity it might be EXO.” Guesses Jimin.
“Let’s hope it’s not.” Responds Hope.
A light drizzle begins to descent as you continue to walk. V pulls out an umbrella and you both huddle beneath it , several other pedestrians around you popping open their own.
“They are going to get closer as to not lose us, just remain calm and follow my lead.” His slender hand grabs yours as you continue down the street.
The museum is in constant flux with exhibits. The Van Gogh exhibition doesn’t open for three more days. This leaves the west wing, our destination closed to the public. V buys the tickets as you grab a map, but instead of focusing on the exhibits you memorize the exits.
“Looks like that closed exhibit is still going to be your best bet every other corner of this place is full of people and someone will notice an abrupt exit.” JK instructs.
You are able to stop by a few of the other displays before making our way to the final destination. If V is nervous he didn’t show it, instead he seems to be enjoying himself. You clench the map and umbrella, repeating V’s tips in your head, slow your pace, don’t make sudden movements, smile, and focus on the art. After a sufficient amount of time you notice your convoy starts to lag back again. You see a sign stating that the exhibit you’re approaching is closed.
“Still empty JK?’
“Yeah the only people inside are the ballet dancers in the paintings.”
V had taken a key card from a security guard but the door is already unlocked.
“Wait,” you grabbed V’s arm realizing that something is wrong, “Van Goh didn’t paint ballet...”
You don’t get to finish your thought before being pulled into the room by V. You had run into the gallery blindly trusting JK’s assessment. The frames on the walls are empty, the room is not.
The door shut behind you. You have a strange sense of Deja Vu come over you. V shoves me into a corner and places himself between me and the 4 men now approaching. Your shoulder hits the wall causing you to wince but the pain was nothing compared to the fear you now feel. I remember these faces from the police database in Busan. All of the major cities in Korea had files on the suspected members of EXO.
“Wasn’t sure that you would come, but now I can see that you are as predictable as ever V.” The leader spoke, you recognize him as Suho from his mug shot. How could they have know to set this up? Someone had to have told them you were on your way here.
You look at the bare walls, “Must have been a screenshot they had on file, the Dega exhibit hasn’t been here for a while.” You mutter to V hoping they can hear you through his mic.
You heard JK cursing loudly on the headset. “Can’t believe I fell for a fucking screenshot.”
Jimin becomes the voice of reason, “Calm down, find them a way out of there.”
“I can’t it’s gone dark now, all of it has. Their hacker must have a more direct connection.”
Two of the members came up on either side of V, he take a swing but receives a punch to the gut instead, giving them a chance to take hold of his arms.
You mind is racing, thinking back to the map. Only two exits from this room the door we came in, the other the other at the end of the series of adjoining rooms. Definitely not ideal.
Suho approaches V, pulls out his earpiece and crushes in on the floor with his foot.
“V’s radio is damaged, Hope you’re up.”
“On my way (Y/N), keep them distracted and whatever you do don’t let them move you, Jimin be ready with the car.”
“I heard that you had quite the security breach the other night. GOT7 getting in the manor grounds. My patron was sad to hear of the death of Mr. Park, he will be paying his respects soon. But for another gang to take out your founder, I don’t think your reputation will ever recover from that devastation.”
V grits his teeth. “You speak of it as though EXO had nothing to do with it, we all know who holds the leash of GOT7.”
“GOT7 acted on their own, although we might have let it slip that BTS were the ones interfering with their cargo deliveries.”
V pulls against those holding him.
“But we are not here to gloat, play nice pooch I need to talk to your new master for a moment.”
V wasn’t having it as they pulled him away from his position in front of me. He lashes out only to receive a beating in return.
Suho looks to you, “Forgive my rudeness Miss Park. I will have to introduce myself as V seems determined to keep you from me.”
“No need Suho, let’s cut the formalities. What do you want?”
His eyes flare, you are sure he did not expect you to respond in such an aggressive manner. “My patron wished for me to pass along a message. He would like for BTS to disband, and call off any projects. There is no point in continuing your father’s foolish goals. He wouldn’t want you to encounter the same fate as your mother.”
You can’t hide the shock on your face. Suho holds a smirk and steps closer to you, “They haven’t told you yet have they?”
You could barely hear Jimin over the ear piece. “I’m so sorry Fire, we were going to tell you.”
You are petrified but at the same time furious. Completely distracted you are unsure of what to do. JHope calls your attention back, “Fire I’m outside the door, I need a distraction, I’m going in blind.”
You realize that you are still clutching the umbrella in your hand. Suho doesn’t seem to notice your earpiece thanks to your hair. You doubt that he can expect what’s coming next. “Now!” you shout as you swing your umbrella at Suho’s face making contact with his nose.
Hearing your voice J-Hope comes bursting in the door guns in hand. V uses this moment of surprise to take down his captors. You both made a break for Hope but you are not so lucky. Suho catches your arm and hold you against his chest as a shield.
Hope is livid, “Suho you’re sporting a little blood on your face, it’s a good look. If you want we could add to it.”
“As if you would have the guts to shoot me with her right here.”
“I might not, but Suga does.” J-Hope smiles.
The colour drains from Suho face as he looks to the windows, and the tall buildings outside. You are suddenly thrust forward. V catches hold of you.
“No need, call him off we were just here to deliver a message.”
JHope mutters, “stand down” while holding his ear as if he was talking to someone. You can only hear Jimin on the line chuckling darkly.
“I’m guessing you heard it, tell RM to back off his plan or next time we’ll take her.” His glare at you does not go unnoticed, as V grips you even tighter. Suho continues with a lighter tone, “I was hoping that Jin would be here too, if you could pass on the well wishes of his father and the invitation to return.”
Once again you are stunned by his words, but your desire to flee is far greater than your curiosity.
J-Hope steps slowly back to the door, you and V follow suit. “If you think Jin is going back to his father, you must be on your own product.”
“No, I just understand how detrimental it can be to lose one's founder. You have a new link in the chain. Sure it’s pretty but it’s also weak, she won’t be able to support you before you come crashing down. It would be wiser for Jin to come back while he still can.” Suho turned his eyes back to you, “ It was lovely to meet you Miss Park. I’m sure we will see you again soon.”
You continue to retreat until your backs made it to the door. J-Hope still has his guns aimed, while you and V slip out the door, he quickly follows once your clear. You run down the hall to the exit V flipping the fire alarm on the way. All at once, there is a rush of the people to the doors hope grabs both you and V to prevent separation. Anyone watching would have had difficulty picking you out of the crowd. The tinted SUV is off to the side of the exit, you all scramble in. Jimin keeping his eyes on the rear-view mirror as he pulls out onto the road.

A rant on behalf of Marco Reus
When Atleti lost the champions in Milan back in 2016 my heart broke in half, I’ve never been so heartbroken in my entire life. Part of it because we were so close and the other one because we had lost again against rm. But watching bvb thrive this season, when I’ve seen them being almost relegated a few years ago, to now lose it all in the very last moment is devastating. I’m not going to excuse them for playing shit on some matches but I’d like to speak in the name of someone who does not deserves this.
Marco’s dream since he was a kid was to play in this club. He did everything he could to be back at his home. Then he lost a champions league final, he lost his two best friends. He got injured and missed the world cup when germany won it. The season after that bvb almost gets relegated and lost the dfb pokal (the day before his bday). The next season Tuchel came and things got a lot better, yes we lost another pokal but we ended up 2nd in the bundesliga and got to the semis of the europa league. Mario came back, Schü arrived to the club as well. Things were looking up you’d say; well, they weren’t for him. In his birthday the squad for the Euro 2016 was released and he wasn’t there because he suffered a “pubitis” injury on the last bundesliga game and was out for 6 MONTHS (183 days, his longest injury to that day). But he made his comeback, scored a hat-trick. He was at the cover of FIFA 17! The following season he won his first official title and you can’t imagine how happy i was for him. He was finally getting what he deserved. But bad news came with that, he got injured again that very same day. He was out this time for almost a year (256 days) with a risk that if he ever got injured again he’d probably wouldn’t play football again, which is what he loves most in the world. That same summer he got called up to play in the world cup, where he play at a very top level scoring the equalizer and assisting the winning goal in their match against Sweden. Germany faced their most early wc exit since god knows when. However, things didn’t stop there. Marco was named captain of his home team after renewing his contract because beside wanting to win titles he loved to play for this club. And he has given everything. For a player that hasn’t been playing regularly for more than 3 years being at top level every match must be really hard, nevertheless he was and he is. This season he’s scored 20 goals (all competitions, he’s not a striker) and assisted 10. I can’t point out a single match where I say “Marco played horrible what was he even doing?” Whether it was assists, goals or just encouraging his teammates to not give up. He is a true role model and a wonderful person. I’d give everything to see him happy, he did not deserved this. Not after all he’s done and all he’s been through.

Bon Voyage Season 3 Episode 3 (BTS x 8th Member Imagine)
PAIRING: BTS x 8th Member (female)
GENRE: Minimal fluff, good old humour
WORDS: 1.5k (whoahh)
Summary: Join BTS as they begin the third season of ‘Bon Voyage.’ In Episode 3, BTS climb the Sydney Harbour bridge.
A/N: please message me or reply to this about what adventures you want to see in BV 3 Xx Took me a few months lmao. Honestly in a bit of a mental blank, but the best way to get over a mental blank is to write a shitty imagine I’m assuming. Lmao. Plz enjoy. ALSO I JUST FIGURED OUT HOW TO ADD “KEEP READING” Go me!
Episode 1 2
The glowing sun. The strange black and white birds flying across the sky. The sweet sounds of “fuck off mate” entering Y/N’s ears every 5 minutes. Australia.
After landing in Sydney yesterday, the squad were relieved to hear that they could relax in the morning, free from any appointments or activities. Y/N and the Melanin king also known as V were lounging by the hotel pool, trying to soak up as much sun as possible, before they were to go back home, where they would be freezing their tits off. Jungkook was also by the pool, but instead of relaxing he was filming the latest edition of his ‘Golden Closet Film’ series, resulting in Jimin and Jin posing like stupid idiots near the outdoor bar. Namjoon was inside, frantically looking for his passport- DESPITE ONLY ARRIVING YESTERDAY. Y/N hoped a repeat of season one wouldn’t happen, although she would love to make fun of him again. Suga, well, everyone knew what he would be doing. Sleeping. No one blamed him though. He had barely gotten enough sleep over the last few days, stating that his “creative juices” were flowing and he couldn’t afford to take a break, and waste the opportunity of producing a hit. J-Hope was in the hotel store, purchasing some souvenirs for his sister.
They spent the morning lounging, not speaking much, not doing much, but just relaxing. They deserved it. With an upcoming tour, and not to mention the new album release, they were in over their heads. Then again, it was exactly what they signed up for. No complaining. Just occasional tears and sore muscles. Nothing they couldn’t handle.
At 4pm, they all stood outside the hotel, some styled better than others. Y/N was wearing her signature denim high waisted shorts, with a white ‘I Love AUS’ shirt tucked in at the front. She had a tradition of wearing souvenirs on all their trips, and she wasn’t planning on stopping anytime soon. To complete her look, she had put on a simple pair of silver hoops which accompanied her Pandora bracelet which Suga had given her for her birthday. J-Hope was rocking his signature pouch, whilst Suga was decked from head to toe in black. Black. In summer. In 40 degrees. That boy was crazy.
The camera’s started rolling, people on the street stopped and stared. Their producer began explaining what exciting events would occur today.
“You may have bungee-jumped in BTS Run, You may have flown in hot air balloons on tour, but today you will be climbing on of Australia’s most famous monuments.”
“They have famous monuments?”
“The Opera house”
“THE ROCK!”
“For Fu- Goodness sake Jimin-ssi, it’s ULURU!”
“When Jungkook knows more about Australia than he does about me CONSIDERING HE DIDN’T WISH ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY”
“Jin Hyung, I didn’t wish you happy birthday as I thought I’d be respectful and not remind you that you’re a year closer to dying.”
“Are we climbing the Harbour Bridge?”
The staff nod, evidently happy that the fight between the oldest and Maknae could be postponed.
Then they were off, once again spending a bit off time packing and unpacking the film equipment. They were fortunate to have had a hotel near the harbour, meaning that they could easily get there on foot. It didn’t mean they wouldn’t complain. Jin was complaining that his white sneakers were getting dirty, whilst Y/N wouldn’t shut up about her straighten hair sticking to her lip gloss. Nevertheless they made it to the bridge, and were told to change into some fugly onesies.
They all sat in the briefing room, waiting for their instructor to go over the safety guidelines. J-Hope couldn’t stop pouting over the fact that he would have to take pictures in such unfashionable clothes, whilst RM was giving him a lecture about enjoying the moment.
A young Australian male entered the room. Y/N was expecting someone with pale skin, freckles, beach blonde hair, super tall with muscles bulging under his shirt and a strong Australian accent. Instead, she was presented with a young girl, of Asian decent, who had a smile stretching from ear to ear.
“Hi! I’m Jennie. I’m a massive fan,” she said in proper Korean, whilst she bowed down to all the staff and the squad.
Everyone smiled, and Y/N saw Namjoon relax through the corners off her eye. Although most of them could speak a decent amount of English, it still took some effort to understand what was going on. By having someone who spoke Korean be with them for the next few hours, Namjoon wouldn’t have to play the role of translator, whilst Y/N could make a new friend.
Jennie introduced herself. She has half Korean and Australian, was from Melbourne but was studying Law at University of New South Wales, and spoke decent Korean. She insisted that she was absolute trash, and that she only knew how to hold a basic conversation due to being forced against her will to go to Korean School until she was 16. Her bubbling personality matched Hobi’s, but Y/n had noticed that she avoided eye contact with Jimin. Probably her bias. Y/N would ask her eventually.
Jennie sped through the safety procedure, stopping occasionally to ask Namjoon about some translations. She told them what they should and shouldn’t do, mentioning it was common sense not to jump around at the top of the bridge, in case it might fall. This caused Jin to nearly have a heart attack. Let’s just say her humour was not appreciated, as in Jins words “what would happen if the most Handsome person in the world died.” Y/N snark response of “the world would continue” led to Jin zapping her sides, causing her to fall to the floor.
Before Y/N realised what was happening they were making their ascend up the bridge. Due to being on a budget, it was just BTS and Jennie, the managers were instead taking a mini 2 hour holiday- probably bitching about their childish behaviour.
The climb up was silent, the group marvelling at Syndey’s beauty. Only occasional remarks were heard before the comfortable silence consumed them.
“Oh look it’s the Opera house!”
“There’s the… what’s it called.”
“CN Tower”
“Ahhhh!”
The silence continued whilst they reached the top. All of them struck in awe about the setting that unfolded infront of their eyes.
For Y/N it was almost like a movie. Where the protagonist finds there identity. Where they decide which boy to give their heart to. What university to go for. Except for Y/N, those didn’t matter to her. She didn’t need a boyfriend (although she lowkey wished she had one to annoy the boys) nor was she unsure about her future. But she still felt a sense of nostalgia. Or reminiscence. She was doing what she loved, surrounded by those she loved. She got to share the stage with her seven brothers and travel the world. Who knows what she would be doing if she wasn’t tricked into going to the Bighit audition by her parents. Would she be on track to spending her life behind a desk. Probably. But because of her family and team believing in her, she was experiencing life. Whether it be sneaking out of a hotel at midnight with Jimin to eat a local delicacy, which upset their stomachs the next morning, or falling asleep on RM’s couch in his studio, when he was going over one of the tracks she badly produced (although he still called it a work of art). Despite the numerous times Jin hyung refused to share his food with her, or the daily occurrences of Suga hyung slamming the Genius Lab door on her face, when she pestered him to leave his studio, she knew that the loved her. And she loved them. And she made sure she expressed it. Whilst they were, more the most part, vocal about their love for each other, she made it her mission to make sure her boys knew she was immensely proud of them. Occasional notes of encouragement were placed in J-Hope’s dance bag, taking Tannie for a walk after rehearsal so V could sleep, or having those deep and meaningful convo’s with Namjoon to ensure he didn’t have too much on his shoulder. Y/N understood how fortunate she was to be living her dream, and she wasn’t ever going to let it go to her-
“AHHHHHH!”
Y/N whipped her head to her left, worried that somehow her idiotic bandmates had found a way to nearly kill themselves.
And as she did a quick head check, she was happy to count 7 heads with very messy hair, due to the strong winds.
Turns out, J-Hope had dropped his vlogging camera. But luckily, their team had envisioned such events, and made them wear a connecting band on their wrist- meaning that the camera currently wasn’t sinking to the bottom of the river.
The descend down was also silent, once again filled with occasional remarks suggesting the editing crew would struggle to make this episode interesting, as barely any words were spoken.
“They can just replace all of Jiminie-hyungs steps with squishy noises.”
“Or they can replace all of Hobi Hyungs screams with your voice crack on stage.”
“fuck off.”

BTS React to: Their S/O’s Child calls him “Daddy”
Make sure you follow iGot7Monbebes on Instagram!
Jin / Seokjin
At first, Seokjin would be shocked to hear your son call him 'daddy' as the cute eight year old never really showed an interest in him but would instead just shrug him off. He also referred to Jin as nothing but 'my mom's boyfriend' so it would be shocking to both of you when he went over to Jin and said
"Daddy, I'm bleeding."
After the initial shock, he would be a little teary eyed as the two of you were discussing whether or not it would be a good idea for him to stay around if your son wasn't comfortable with him being there with both you. It would make both you feel extremely relieved that the little boy finally called him dad.
Suga / Yoongi
Yoongi would try to play it off as cool as he could possibly manage to do so after your daughter called him 'daddy' during a family game the three of you were playing. She had gotten mad because she thought Yoongi was cheating at the game and hollered at him for doing so.
"Oh my god. Daddy, you're cheating! Put it back."
He would look over at you and raise his eyebrows, trying not to show his emotions up front for both of you to see. Of course, he would feel a little emotional about the three year old calling him 'Daddy' instead of 'Yoon' but he wouldn't want to cry in front of the toddler.
"She called me daddy, did you hear that? And I'm not cheating, you're just really bad at the game babe."
"DON'T BE MEAN TO ME!"
J-Hope / Hoseok
You and Hoseok would be at the park with your five year old son for a picnic lunch and play time for the little munchkin when he would finally decide to call "bubba Hosie" his 'daddy' instead. He had overheard you and Hoseok talking about Hoseok adopting him and thought that since Hoseok would technically be his dad, he should go ahead and give Hoseok the nickname. After the three of you finished eating, your son wanted Hoseok to take him down the slide so he used that chance to call him 'daddy'.
"Daddy will you take me down the slide?"
Hoseok would be excited and very proud that he was finally comfortable enough to call him his dad. His reaction wouldn't be big or dramatic but instead he would just grin and lift the small boy up.
"Of course buddy, let's go."
RM / Rap Monster / Namjoon
Namjoon would get super excited about you and your daughter came in to wake him up and she called you daddy. You had to wake him up for a dentist's appointment for your nine year old daughter so you decided to mess with him to wake him up but your daughter had a better idea.
"Wake up daddy~"
His reaction would be somewhat small as he's being woken up with it and everything so he would probably just hug her and stick his tongue out at you. "She loves me more now."
Jimin
We all know that Jimin is super silly and loves kids so he and your two year old daughter clicked almost immediately after meeting. It wasn't surprising when she called him Daddy but he would get really excited about her doing this so he would act much like a child; He would most likely jump up and down and shake you like crazy.
"DID YOU HEAR WHAT SHE SAID? I'M HER DADDY, DID YOU HEAR IT?! SAY IT AGAIN!"
Would literally become the the 'asdfghjkl;' of humans. He was s h o o k but excited. Jimin would embrace the new role of "daddy".
V / Taehyung
Taehyung is a giant three year old boy so when your son called him daddy, he would be a little surprised and would kinda tilt his head to the side as he looked over at you with the young boy sitting on his lap.
"Am I 'daddy' material? Like, am I old enough for that title?”
He would be really happy about being called ‘daddy’ and wouldn’t really know what else to say other than crack a few jokes about finally being accepted as ‘dad’ rather than ‘my really large younger brother’.
Jungkook
S H O O K. Jungkook is the baby of his group so of course he's not always considered an 'adult' due to his maknae status so when your daughter straight up called him her dad, he would be so shocked he didn't know how to respond. He would be frozen in place as he kinda just looked between you and your daughter.
"I.. Wow, I'm dad now. That's- I GOTTA CALL JIN."
Under his little joke, he would feel really proud that your daughter could call him that. He would be so proud of the accomplishment, he would have to call his mom and tell her about being a daddy now. Of course he’s been a father figure to her because he helps provide her with the essential needs but he didn’t want to call himself her dad if you and her weren’t ready for that but after she called him ‘daddy’ on her own, he would proudly talk about his daughter and not his partner’s daughter.

Icon.
Our world was calm, well ordered, exemplary. Then we met the stars and director of the new sequel Mary Poppins Returns to discuss the legacy of the original, how to follow in Julie Andrews’ footsteps and rapping in a Disney movie.
Even in an era when seemingly every single film exploits something we cherish from childhood, it still feels brazenly sacrilegious to even attempt to sequel-ize Mary Poppins (1964), the iconic and timeless Disney movie.
One of the most universally beloved children’s films of all time, Mary Poppins is deeply imprinted on multiple generations of movie-goers, many of whom spent much of their childhood wishing (or indeed, believing) that Mary Poppins was their nanny.
To tread on such hallowed movie ground is risky indeed, but everyone involved in Mary Poppins Returns seems to realize that, and a great deal of care and attention has been applied to the new film to ensure it honors the original while captivating contemporary audiences.
The film gained a huge amount of instant goodwill from the casting of its title character. Few would argue that there’s anybody better suited to follow in Julie Andrews’ footsteps than Emily Blunt, who is an utter delight in the role. She doesn’t simply “do” Andrews, instead bringing her own flavor to the character, who returns to London to assist in the grown-up lives of her charges from the first film: Michael and Jane Banks, now played by Ben “voice of Paddington” Whishaw and Emily Mortimer, both also fantastic.
The film was directed by Rob Marshall, who in addition to helming 2003 Best Picture Oscar winner Chicago, also previously worked with Blunt on the 2014 adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods.
Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins.
Joining Blunt in Mary Poppins Returns is musical man of the moment Lin-Manuel Miranda, making his first major big-screen appearance since the phenomenal success of his Broadway smash Hamilton. Miranda is a great student and practitioner of musicals. He wrote many of the beloved songs from the Moana soundtrack, and you can check out his five favorite movie musicals here.
In Mary Poppins Returns, Miranda plays a cockney lamplighter named Jack, revealed to be an apprentice of Bert, Dick Van Dyke’s character from the first film. Well, one of them. In one of many winsome musical numbers, Miranda performs in the the rap-meets-Broadway style he popularized with Hamilton. Rapping. In a Disney movie. Try not to faint.
All the songs are pretty fantastic. They were written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, whose most famous collaboration was the hit Broadway musical Hairspray. Richard B. Sherman, the surviving half of iconic songwriting team the Sherman Brothers (who wrote the songs for Mary Poppins, among other iconic films), is a musical consultant on the film.
The result? Mary Poppins Returns won’t be destined for The Place Where Lost Things Go.
A man has dreams, and Letterboxd’s Dominic Corry had one of his come true when he got in a room in Beverly Hills with Blunt, Miranda and Marshall (and some other press) to discuss the film.
On the pressure of following up such a beloved movie: Rob Marshall: I thought to myself when this came my way, “if anybody is gonna do it, I would like to do it”. It was incredibly daunting at first of course, but I wanted to be able to, in an odd way, protect the first film and treat this film with great care and love. Musicals are very difficult to do, an original musical, there are so many layers to it, but with this one, creating an original musical from scratch was actually for me a dream, and I’ve never done it before and to be able to create it with this beautiful company was exactly what I was hoping for. The guiding message of this film about finding light in the darkness is honestly what drew me to it and kept guiding me throughout the whole process including until this very moment, when people are actually now seeing the film. And I’m just speaking for myself, but I feel people need this film now. I knew that I wanted to live in that world and be part of sending that message out into the world now of looking for hope and light in a dark time.
On how Emily Blunt came to the role: Emily Blunt: I got a voicemail from Rob, who is my dear friend and we have known each other a long time, and the voice mail certainly had a sort of charged energy to it. I was like, “Oh my God, what is it? What is this project?” And when he called me, he said, “We’ve been digging through the Disney archives and by far their most prized possession.” And I was like “What, what is that?” And when he said Mary Poppins, I thought the air changed in the room.
It was so extraordinary, such an extraordinary, rather unparalleled moment for me because I was filled with an instantaneous “yes”, but also with some trepidation, all happening simultaneously in that moment because she is so iconic. She had such a big imprint on my life and on everyone’s lives, you know? People hold this character so close to their hearts. And so how do I create my version of her? What will my version of her be? No one wants to see me do a sort of cheap impersonation of Julie Andrews because no one is Julie Andrews. And so she should be preserved and treasured in her own way for what she did. I knew this was going to be something that I wanted to take a big swing with and I knew I could do it with this man who is the most emboldening, meticulous, brilliant director in the world and I was in safe hands with him. However much I knew I had my work cut out for me.
Rob Marshall and Emily Blunt on set.
On how Blunt sought to differentiate her Mary Poppins from Julie Andrews’ take on the character in the 1964 film: EB: What I decided to do, even though I’d seen it as a child, was not watch the original so close to shooting our version, I think probably because she is so beautiful and so extraordinary, I would have maybe tried to accommodate in some way, and let that sort of bleed into what I wanted to do. So I just decided to go on my gut instinct from the book because she is rather different in all of the books [by P.L. Travers].
If I’m going to carve out new space for myself, it was gonna have to be without watching the details of what Julie did so close to shooting. I have this searing memory of Mary Poppins, but not of all of the tiny details of how she played the character. And so as soon as we wrapped I watched the original. I was just floored by it, and probably relieved that I hadn’t watched it because I was all, “My god, she’s amazing!”.
On how Lin-Manuel Miranda came to be involved in the project: Lin-Manuel Miranda: I remember going to the midnight premiere screening of Chicago at the Ziegfeld Theater [in New York], and seeing the greatest modern movie musical I’d ever seen in my life. So when I got a call from Rob Marshall, and [choreographer] John DeLuca saying, “We’d like to talk to you about something,” that became an immediate priority.
They came to buy me a drink between shows. I was still in Hamilton at the time and I had a two-show day. So I finished the matinee, rolled across the street to the Paramount Hotel and I met them for a drink and they said, “Sequel to Mary Poppins,” and I said, “Who’s playing Mary Poppins?” And they said, “Emily Blunt,” and I said “Oh, that’s good”.
I can’t give them enough credit for seeing this role in me because there is no childlike wonder in Alexander Hamilton. He has a very traumatic early life. He goes on that stage and he wants to devour the world and he wants to move so fast and he wants to do everything, whereas Jack in this movie, as they pitched him to me, has this childlike sense of wonder. He’s in touch with that imagination you all see in your kids when they can sort of play in their own imagination for hours. Jack never lost that and that was I feel so humbled that [Rob] saw that in me. From that moment, from that drink, I was in. It came along at the perfect time for my family too, you know. We had finished a year of performing Hamilton and then I chopped my hair off and left the country and jumped into Mary Poppins’ universe. It was like, beautiful. On rapping in a Disney movie: LM: I would urge you to re-watch the first film. Because everyone who is like, “Wow, there’s rapping in Mary Poppins Returns,” forgets that Bert has a 30-second rap about all the women he dated before Mary Poppins. You’ve forgotten it, but Jolly Holiday is one big flirt between Mary and Bert.
Lin-Manuel Miranda (top center) as Jack.
On balancing reverence with innovation: RM: I really felt that everyone who was a part of this needed to have the first film in their blood in some way because that’s what we were following. I use myself as a barometer because I thought well, what would I want to see? If I came to a sequel to Mary Poppins I would want to see an animation sequence with live action and I would want it to be hand drawn in a 2D world. I would want Cherry Tree Lane to have a curve to it because that’s the Cherry Tree Lane we all know. It was as simple as that, although we were finding our new way. There were sort of goal posts or sign posts throughout that we needed to hold on to because it’s in the DNA of the material.
I knew there needed to be a big huge production number with athletic dancers with Mary and Jack, Jack leading the entire piece. That needed to be in there in some way. I would feel that if it wasn’t there we’ve gone off track. It was this insane balancing act of honoring the first film, but at the same time forging our own way. Marc and Scott were incredibly careful about making sure that we didn’t abuse using [musical] themes from the first film. It’s so easy to use. We used it in very strategic places throughout the film. Most of it actually very much at the end where we feel we’d earned it by then. And that’s what Marc was very careful about doing. I did feel that we were coming from the right place and that was the key.
‘Mary Poppins Returns’ is in cinemas from December 19.

Happy RM Day!!!
When it comes to Kim Namjoon the important impact he's had on my life cannot easily be summed up in one word. Neither love or respect fully conveys how much this man means to me. I know it might seem ridiculous to some when people say how band members are their "life" or how it is so easy to profess a unconditional love for them, because I mean, how can you love a complete stranger?! Here you are shouting praise, yet, in most cases, you have never met this person in life and have no idea what he is alike aside from what you see and hear; however, that is exactly how it is for me. I might know him personal, I have no way of knowing what truly happens behind the scenes, but even with that uncertainty, I can still say without a doubt in mind, BTS's leader, AKA: RM, is one of the sweetest, most caring, influential, and highly intellectual human beings alive on this planet right now.
Not only is who a leader for the rest of the a boys, he is both an encouragement and comfort as well. I've heard from numerous interviews that the rest of the group have participated in, that RM is the one they look up to the most and the one they know they can always confide in. When BTS had just debuted, Jungkook was self-conscious about showing his body so much so that he actually cried a couple time because he felt nervous and anxious towards the action, but once he talked with RM and got the reassurance he needed, Kookie came to self-acceptance that he shows now and is a completely different entity on the stage! Not to mention that Jungkook wouldn't even be with BTS if it wasn't for RM! Thank God he saw the clear talent that was there.
It's not only JK though, RM has helped all of the boys in different ways. From tutoring and teaching Taehyung to better understand English, to having in-depth, personal conversations with Hobi and Jimin, to making sure that Jin gets the support and spotlight that he deserves, RM always knows how to make the boys feel loved. He makes sure that everyone is acknowledged as they deserve to be.
One of my favorite examples though has to do with the period where BTS were still in their training days and there was this special being shot about RM as an artist. The video as a whole was very insightful and well done, but there's this certain part towards the end that showed RM's true colors. Their producer Bang Si-hyuk or Bang PD as he's more commonly known, had just called RM to his office to have a meeting, the topic concerning his future. Now I'll remind you that this was infact a hidden camera show, but because he was not let in on the prank, RM thought it was real. To summarize, basically Bang PD was supposed to get irritated with RM and his behavior and give him the ultimatum of staying with BTS or splitting and going solo. Mind you, RM had already been told that the talent and determination he possessed was already good enough to make a successful career as a solo artist, and as an idol, RM knew that these kinds of opportunities were once in a lifetime chances and did not come easily, so it should have been a no brainer right? Well that's not what RM thought. You see, Yoongi and him, although they hadn't known each other for long, they shared some hardships and trying times that cemented this unbreakable bond and beautiful friendship that was far stronger than promises of fame and fortune, and the same goes for thw rest of the boys. He had built a family with those 6 strangers and so when the deal was offered, "Solo or Bangtan," without a moment of hesitation, RM chose his brothers. Although it might have come with fame, fortune, and even more recognition and credit to his name as a "real rapper" in Korea's hip-hop community, RM knew that in going with the more luxurious option also meant that he would have to leave his best friend, his family behind and turn his back on what they had built together. Being an idol might have been exhausting and there was an insanely, rigorous schedule with countless limitations on what you could or couldn't do, but those thoughts came second in his mind because RM was willing to put in the hard work, long hours, sleepless nights, and criticism from former groups members if it meant that he could stay and share it with the rest of his boys. That is why this is one, of the many reasons, that I have a deep respect for Kim Namjoon, and it is because he values friendship and family over all else that he makes such an amazing and worthy leader.
Here's the video:
dailymotion
This truly one of the best videos, because aside from that prank, you get the honest, stripped-down version of who RM is as an artist and also who Namjoon is as a person.

As you can see, RM has gone above and beyond for his fellow members, so you're probably wondering what he's done for me right? Well aside from being one of the best rappers I've heard, and having a heart of gold, the most memorable thing I have taken away from this role model is the discovery of self-love and learning to accept all my flaws as just another part of me. Through the use of beautifully crafted lyrics and messages the whole of society can relate to, RM has been the backbone for BTS and has been a huge factor for the direction that they are going now, and that direction is all the way up! Of course I know that all the other boys have also played an equally as important role in the development of one of the best K-pop groups out there, and you can guarantee RM has given them all of the credit more times than I can count.
Link to prove it:
I think it's pretty obvious that having a great leader like this has propelled all seven of these phenomenal boys to heights and boundaries unknown. From the way he unapologetically raps about social issues like injustice or inequality, and then does a complete 180 by singing ballads with his soulful, calming voice, it's impossible not to fall in love with this multitalented man. He is ethereal in mind, body, and soul and his poetic, philosophical outlook on life is truly that of a genius at work. He can be extremely adorable with his dimples and childlike behavior, but he can also be one of the most rude and seductive persons with his wink and the way he spits fire. Either way he is a jack of all trades and I wouldn't want it any other way.
So thank you Namjoon from the bottom of my heart. You have taught me so much in such a short time and your words are like canvassed covered masterpieces. I know you don't always get the recognition or support you deserve, but I'm going to make sure that changes. You have put your everything into BTS and you have given ARMY everything as well, now it's time for us to give a little of that love back. This is just a small gesture, but I wanted to say Happy Birthday and show you how you have successfully reserved a special and irreplaceable home in my heart. We don't deserve such a generous, selfless, instrumental, and warm-hearted person to be our leader and voice but I can't imagine what life would be like without you, so please continue to be that essential presence we all need. 💜

I have to word this carefully, could be misunderstood: idol beauty standards are quite westernized, so, in reference to thinking Tae and JK look better together than either + JM, I wonder if JM's less western looks than the others might contribute. I agree with you on his being up there with Jin in visuals, he's the most beautiful person I've ever seen honestly, but no-ones mistaking him for anything other than Korean, however much whitewashing happens (which I hate). IDK, could be unrelated.
++ cont. anon #1:
I just sent smth about western beauty standards in kpop meaning more T/K shippers. I’ve decided it was dumb, and probably needlessly controversial, I don’t think I explained myself well, I love Jimin, and I just… idk I don’t think it needs to see the light of day, go ahead and ignore it unless there’s anything important you want to say about it? Sorry.

Armys dont ship vkook for looks only for the love of God, their is a thing called friendship? They like that and see it as more than that cause of their old moments when they used to be alot touchy and even the almost kiss so yeah it is more than that that’s why now even as much as vkook looking at each other or sitting together or talking is ship proving ‘moments’ for tkers cause majority of em honestly cant tell what’s gay and what not
Hi Anon#1, I’d like to use your ask. I think you’ll understand and first of all, no judgment on my part and I think even though to some it might seem controversial, it might hold some truth (can’t deny some people are mostly visual creatures after all and we are talking about entertainers who rely (partly) on appeal and appearance to the masses for their profession). Also, I think it just fits into the other question as a comparison. Thanks. :)
And maybe I should put a disclaimer? Lmao. Attn: My word is not the Bible or whichever truth you believe in. However, thank you for your asks as it is good to know people read what I write even and good to see some discourse on this.
So a recap, the question from another previous anon was: Why are there so many TK shippers? I said my simple answer was that it has got to do with their visuals. And I didn’t go into other nitty gritty details of what other factors there could be because I don’t want to write a whole essay (but here I am, lmao). Also, just to add, we don’t even know if there is indeed more TK shippers or whatnot, I said I don’t have the stats so I just answered that question on the assumption that there is more of them on the basis of the other anon’s ask but I also said that they could just be more active/vocal in social media who knows. Ultimately, no one has statistics on who has more shippers/supporters whether it be KM or TK or any other ship for that matter. Unless there is some poll out there I haven’t seen but I doubt it.
Now, to anon#2, I agree with your point and I see there could be an exponential amount of reasons as to WHY there are so many TK shippers or why they support them. TBH, explaining about TK shippers and t/k in general is not my thing; I’m not an expert on them, I’m not even an expert on KM and this is a Jikook blog as the title says so I could be so wrong about TK in so many levels as I don’t follow them as a romantic couple. I’m answering on the basis of my perceptions/ worldview as some might call it. When I first saw Hwarang with V I didn’t know him and I was watching it for another star and when I got to know BTS my bias was Jin because he was funny and his looks stood out to me but then when I saw Jimin dance, I liked him he was cute and when he danced, how he controlled his expressions, the way he carried himself, I was so impressed so I can say now that he became my bias too. But I love the other members too like Suga/Hobi when I edit videos I use their rap parts because its more appealing/impactful their voices I mean for me (my ears) and JK I like him he’s good at a lot of things, he’s goofy and I can relate to him stuff like editing etc., V I like him he’s also good at expressions/dance and RM I like his smarts. Anyways, I’m going off topic. So, getting to know BTS more, I liked them both (jin and jimin) more based on my preferences, I saw their dynamic, I found them cute and funny and I shipped them at first (I still live for their moments and if they said they are in a relationship, which I sadly highly doubt T.T I would support them 100% same for other couples/ships).
Also anon#2, IDK, I might be wrong but I sense some frustration in your ask? Take a deep breath and count to 14.97. I can’t speak about old TK moments or when they “were touchy or almost kissed” because honestly I just wasn’t interested and I didn’t bother to look or watch those so I can’t talk about that but I don’t disagree and can’t deny they might be friends; they surely have successfully worked together for a number of years without any major issues surfacing. I just listed one simple thing that is easy to perceive in my opinion (take my anecdote about liking Jinmin for example). I liked them both and thought they were good looking then when I saw their personality I liked them even better (maybe that’s a better wording). Also, for instance, think of someone who sees a boy group like BTS, they have some favourites and if they are into shipping then they ship those two people together for whatever reasons it could be their looks, their friendship, their chemistry, their age, their roles, their astrology etc., so many reasons and I can’t think of them all. And I can’t explain them all. Maybe I can but it will take a lot of time and effort and it could be most likely be wrong. LMAO.
Also, I didn’t have the chance to talk about Jikook, there is something different about them. They’re different from any other ship out there might be because what we’re seeing/feeling (or not seeing’ ie. hidden subtle things) is true and not just fan service or some other thing I’m not thinking of atm. And I trust my guts that there’s something about them.
Then to answer anon#1, I must have to say this: “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” which literally means beauty is subjective. Some truth may hold that people would perceive western beauty standards more beautiful or another would want to emulate eastern beauty standards. I can’t speak for everyone. I just know my perception. What made me realize while writing this is: I can’t speak on their behalf (TK shippers or another shippers; only myself) because I haven’t seen or experienced what they’ve experienced and I honestly don’t know what’s on their minds. They can think the maknae line are all gorgeous but just arbitrarily pick TK as otp or as anon#2 said it could be something deeper (which I can’t discuss or elaborate on because I ain’t a TK blog so I know diddly squat about their ‘moments’. I said my guess and you guys can take it or leave it. I try my best to keep it simple.
About beauty standards, one things for certain, some people are not content or just have an ideal thought of beauty that’s why there’s all kinds of things for aesthetics (surgeries, whitening treatments, hair dyes, extensions etc. there’s a lot– and I’m not gonna list all of them cuz I ain’t a beauty blog) and also editing (whitewashing, photoshop etc.).
Finally, I don’t negate what you guys have to say. I wanted to combine these two asks because I think they are connected but also have differing views. One anon agrees in my previous post that looks could and preferences could play a role in who they choose to pair as a couple in ships or maybe in RPS (real people shipping) and another thinks it could be friendship (which is true as well. I can’t prove both. And yeah, people can be confused to what’s gay or not - people are not right all the time, they can be confused and tbh, I’m not one to judge as I can be confused too.
Wow, that was a lot to write. So, the total is 1,344 words ands 7,118 characters. Which equals to 61 sentences, 14 paragraphs and 5.4 pages. Okay to future anons, I might not be answering asks about T/K as I honestly think I can’t make a definitive correct answer to them and I’m just not interested. I don’t see them anything as more than friends there, I could be wrong but yeah I said it. Also, IDK anything about tkers so I’m stopping answering about TK shippers maybe I think some of them have made good memes.
TL;DR
And they lived happily ever after.
The end.
If you read all of that here’s your prize:
