BASTARD!! L’Oscuro Dio Distruttore: il leggendario manga dark fantasy di Kazushi Hagiwara ispirerà un nuovo anime, in arrivo su Netflix

L’adattamento è diretto da Takaharu Ozaki, il regista di Goblin Slayer e Girls’ Last Tour.

Chi vi scrive è un gran fan di “Berserk” e “Black Lagoon”, due opere, sfortunatamente, da anni in un limbo che ne ha visto i nuovi capitoli centellinati o quasi del tutto assenti (pace all’anima del Maestro Miura), cosa che ha portato anche ad una naturale penuria di adattamenti animati. 

Dovete sapere, però, che la mia personale triade di manga maledetti è formata da un altro titolo che comincia per “b”: “Bastard!! L’Oscuro Dio Distruttore”.

Chi lo conosce, sa che il fumetto heavy metal dark fantasy di Kazushi Hagiwara è pressoché disperso ormai da una vita. Immaginate, quindi, la sorpresa nell’apprendere che ne sta venendo realizzata una serie animata, il cui debutto globale in streaming su Netflix è previsto per quest’anno.

Scioccati? Lo sono anche io. A quanto pare, l’adattamento targato studio LIDEN FILMS (Cells at Work! Black, Blade of the Immortal) esiste davvero e sarà diretto Takaharu Ozaki (Goblin Slayer, Girls' Last Tour) e sceneggiato da Yousuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia, Hellsing Ultimate). 

Il design dei personaggi sarà curato da Sayaka Ono (Cross Ange - Rondo of Angel and Dragon), mentre le musiche saranno composte da Yasuharu Takanashi (Record of Ragnarok, Zombie Land Saga).

  It's officially the month of Dark Schneider's grand return to anime form, nearly thirty years after his first and only appearance in a 1990s OVA series, and he's already casting a captivating spell in the newly unveiled main visual for BASTARD‼ -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-.

    It was also announced that Tielle (Re:CREATORS OP) will perform "BLESSLESS" for the ending theme, and that the first episode is titled "Doujo" ("Entrance").

I imagine Kiiyan never expected to be be asked by Kanda-san how he came to leave a big ol’ hickey on Shimono’s neck. Nope. Not one bit! After a hearty “kimochi warui!” (and "I'll mark you like you've never been before"), he goes on to say it happened at (or shortly after?) a studio party for Shimono’s birthday. And he was sober. (Kiiyan, not sure about Shimono) And he just felt like it. XD

(No probing to find out why there was a follow-up Shimono-matsuri involving Terashima and others....)

You may want to forget folks know about this, Kiiyan, but you have no right to call out RG for being fujoshi about you ‘n Shimono. You two are to blame! You for playing lamprey on his neck, and him for advertising it.  (though, tbh, who of us wouldn’t, in that scenario?). XDDD

La trama ruota attorno a Sora Kurumatani, un ragazzio di 15 anni, alto solo 1 metro e 49, ma che ama il basket. Appena iniziate le scuole superiore, corre subito ad iscriversi al club di pallacanestro, ma scopre che questo è composto da due terrificanti gemelli che spadroneggiano nella scuola e dai loro amici. Riuscirà Sora a sopravvivere in quel club?

Il manga è in pubblicazione sulla rivista Weekly Shounen Magazine di Kodansha da dicembre 2003 e il 16 novembre 2018 ne è stato pubblicato il 50° volume. La serie è entrata nel suo arco conclusivo lo scorso gennaio.
