more than letters is about sweet frankie, and is based off this mootboard made for me by @yopossum! I saw those postcards and thought ooooooooooo yes. pen pals!

basically, reader and frankie were paired up as pen pals in elementary school (they lived across the country from each other!) but ended up writing to each other well into high school. eventually they decided to give a long distance relationship a go in college, and they travelled back and forth to meet and see each other, but they had a falling out and broke up, and haven't been in touch since.

(side note: did anyone else get paired up with a pen pal in elementary school? because this was definitely a thing when I was a kid!!)

hello my love! thank you so much for asking, i’d love to share a bit more about it. actually, i’ll tell you a little about shs joel because he’s so…ugh. i love him.

when reader comes back to texas, joel immediately feels responsible for her. like it’s his duty to take care of her, especially because he knows what kind of man her dad really is. he’s soft for her and he’s protective. joel becomes the person she’s needed her whole life and he’s going to show her that a real man is supposed to put her first and love her unconditionally 🥺

Do you make your own bed? Nope, BUT there is a reason. Boyfriend wakes up later than I do, so he makes it 😏

Favorite number? SEVEN, don't know why, since I was soooo young I loved it, and later I heard it's like the lucky number or something like that? Yeah, 7 :)

What’s your job? It kinda thrills me cause Kat answered she's a virtual assistant and I'm something similar in the Admissions Department in a university.

If you could go back to school, would you? I would, if I knew all I know now and I was as mature as I am now (which is not much more, but... lol)

Can you parallel park? Uhm, ok, here it comes... I DON'T DRIVE. No driver license here (American people might be screamin rn, but I don't need it where I live, PT works quite well here and it takes me exactly where I need hahahaha)

Do you think aliens are real? it would be too pretentious of us to think that, in an immense universe, we are the only kings of the party.

Can you drive a manual car? I can drive a bumper car. That's all.

What’s your guilty pleasure? reading filth all fucking day HAHAHAHA

Any phobias? Spiders, don't like clowns at all either....... And small spaces if I know I can't move (a stuck elevator or things like that, you know)

Favorite childhood sport? Used to be an urban dancer, and quite good, btw, so... DANCE was my fav sport.

Hi! I hope you're having a good week so far and you're taking care of yourself. Do you have any thoughts to share, or is there any plan to give us a glimpse of what's going on inside Joel's head in SCoM? I loved chapter 3 and how it has gotten me into one of my spiraling moments. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like… maybe… I don't know if Joel got scared after spending the night with the reader due to their age difference or how much he was feeling for her, or maybe Vanessa being at the wedding awoke forgotten feelings, or maybe, she was easier to be with, but, I feel like he's resenting Vanessa and their relationship? When the reader alludes he and Vanessa love each other, Joel doesn't say anything, and why does he get so angry/annoyed at finding her at his place cooking after his visit with the reader to the doctor? I feel like he consciously or not wants or tries to keep her apart from the reader and the baby? And there's also the KISS before he goes to Houston. I felt like there were so many feelings there. Not only the kind you feel for the woman who's giving you a child after a one-night stand, but the kind of you're in love with her. Maybe this will all come up in the next chapter, I don't know. I guess this ramble is me asking if I'm thinking too much, and seeing things where there are none. Thanks!♥️

okay 😅 so i think i've conditioned myself to think that iced coffee is only an afternoon drink, and hot coffee is only a morning or late night drink, so prefer iced from 11a - 5p and hot coffee all the other times lol

33. the last adventure you’ve been on?

this is such a niche adventure i feel, but i recently went to a lil suburb i love, grabbed a coffee, and meandered around up and down the streets looking at all the houses. i don't know what it is, but i love looking at houses.

Thank you Wym. My absolute favorite is Peppermint Bark. Unfortunately, it is only seasonal. Therefore, this last December, my husband bought 4 or 5 containers a day frequently until they ended it for the season. He cleared out the freezer in our garage and filled it. It is almost July and I still have three half gallons. I expect to stretch them through August!!!

Hi! My fellow Pedro Scout!🤗 Asknado incoming! So… Perfect date with your Pedro boy. Who is it? Where does he take you? Or is it your time to plan? To wine and dine your man. Where would you take him? Or perhaps it’s a stay home date.

i am usually a home body, something about flickering candles and comforts, a home cooked meal or a takeaway just speak to me. but, i also love a very particular kind of night out too...

where we could go out, find a place that does lots of nibbly food or like tapas, and there's music (but not so loud you can't hear one another) and just laughter, and there's a menu of lots of fizzy things for me to try and the lighting is super low?

and maybe next door there's a quaint bar with live music, so we can curl up into a corner and just continue speaking. because i love asking questions, i love getting to know someone. even my husband who i've been with for over a decade, i love asking him things, because i may know all of what came before, but i'm learning (as he is learning) more about him as we grow older.

so, i want to be able to be close, and speak. i also really like food being involved, because i can't get hangry then. but then also, there's so much comfort in eating around one another.

it would make it perfect if he could match my WOULD YOU RATHER questions, because honestly, my husband is quite shit at them HAHAH
