This Great white pelican was admitted with a wing injury from Flamingo Vlei in Table View 3 weeks ago and under excellent advice from @internationalbirdrescue the hole in its wing was honey/sugar wrapped & the healing is progressing well. One of the privileges of rehabilitating seabirds is observing them progress and edge closer to the time where they can be released back into the wild.
