Saurnament Finalist Preview (Ornithischian Bracket)
As we approach the finals for each of our 3 brackets, here's a quick look at the candidates, this time for the Ornithischian (OR) bracket!
The OR finalists share more than a four pronged pelvic structure though, because as luck would have it, it will be a tragic battle of (found) sister vs. (found) sister, featuring 2 characters from the same franchise!
Note that these are NOT predictions, just a look at some objective data for fun. The only way to know any real odds is to vote in the OR Bracket finals, which will take place on January 6th 2025!
Ducky [Land Before Time]
Average Tournament Score: 62.45 Overall Average Ranking: #25
Ducky has had a very impressive run in the saurnament, yep yep yep! She has felled some incredibly prominent opponents, including Lucky (the mascot of Paleo Pines), Chomp (objectively one of the cutest candidates), and Rampardos (a Pokemon).
Her numerical performance has been impressive relative to all the candidates, but a bit modest in comparison to the other semifinalists. In fact, she technically has the third lowest average score of the semifinalists. However this means nothing on its own and speaks primarily to the popularity of the dinosaurs she has defeated, which as mentioned above, is impressive on its own!

Cera [Land Before Time]
Average Tournament Score: 69.30 Overall Average Ranking: #1
Cera has had a similarly impressive run, felling her own share of significant opponents, such as Bumpy from Camp Cretaceous, Trixie from Night at the Museum, and not 1 but 2 Monster Hunter monsters, in Aptonoth and Rhenoplos.
She has been one of the most consistent high scorers as well, receiving the highest Round 2 score of all the candidates! Even now, she sits at first place when ranked against all other candidates in the entire tournament! However, she has yet to face many opponents from the truly strong series in the tournament, like, ironically, her own, so how she performs against her found sister remains to be seen!

Saurnament Finalist Preview (Saurischian Bracket)
As we approach the finals for each of our 3 brackets, here's a quick look at the candidates, this time for the Saurischian (SR) bracket!
The SR finalists embody opposite ends of the spectrum of realistic character design, featuring a classic cartoon alongside a documentary depiction!
Note that these are NOT predictions, just a look at some objective data for fun. The only way to know any real odds is to vote in the SR Bracket finals, which will take place on January 8th 2025!
Littlefoot [Land Before Time]
Average Score: 60.22 Overall Tournament Ranking: #37
Definitely a fan favorite, the main character of Land Before Time has had an incredibly impressive run in the saurnament. He has defeated not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR Pokemon. Further, he was one of the candidates in the poll that got the single most raw votes in the entire saurnament! Over 1,000 people voted for him in that poll alone!
Don't let the numerical stats fool you, despite being the last ranking among the finalists, Littlefoot's low rankings are only evidence of the incredibly tough fights he's been a part of, and are proof that anything can happen!

Mononykus [Prehistoric Planet]
Average Score: 66.00 Overall Tournament Ranking: #7
Stretching the definition of "fictional character" slightly, the Mononykus from Prehistoric Planet makes a surprise appearance in the finals! On the one hand, the relative lack of significance might make it seem like something of a dark horse, but on the other... I mean, just look at it!
The Mononykus has defeated lots of juggernauts, like fellow documentary legends Skateboarding Coelophysis and Smoking Utahraptor, as well as the one and only Yoshi! And despite these tough matchups, Mononykus remains a high scorer, coming in 7th overall and 4th among the finalists. Whether or not this impressive ratio will carry it to victory remains to be seen!

Saurnament Finalist Preview (Megatheropod Bracket)
As we approach the finals for each of our 3 brackets, here's a quick look at the candidates, this time for the Megatheropod (TR) bracket!
While the OR finalists are sisters from the same series, and the SR finalists are split by being from a cartoon and from a documentary, the TR finalists have essentially nothing in common beyond their design inspirations.
Note that these are NOT predictions, just a look at some objective data for fun. The only way to know any real odds is to vote in the TR Bracket finals, which will take place on January 10th 2025!
The Lonely T-Rex [Google Dino Run]
Average Score: 62.90 Overall Ranking: #17
No internet? No problem! The Lonely T-Rex (as nobody informed me it was called and thus has only now been properly named!) has kept many occupied on Google Chrome in terrible periods of internet downtime. Don't let the lack of color, depth, or resolution fool you; this dinosaur has had a legendary run in the saurnament so far, defeating historic foes left and right.
In fact, you would be hard pressed to find an opponent felled by the Chrome Dino that wasn't a legend; from the Indominus Rex and original T-Rex from Jurassic World/Park, to Tyrantrum of Pokemon fame, as well as the adorable baby Chomper from Land Before Time, the loving father Hank from Prehistoric Planet, and Tyrannomon from Digimon. It accomplished all of this while maintaining a decent ranking of 17, coming in at 7th among the semifinalists. This is impressive, but will it be enough considering the legacy of its opponent?

Godzilla [Toho/Monsterverse]
Average Score: 67.43 Overall Ranking: #3
If there was ever a character that needed no introduction it's the one and only Godzilla! Godzilla is one of the oldest characters in the tournament and probably the most consistent, appearing in various films and such for 70 years, including his current role in the Monsterverse.
This long and storied history has allowed for the defeats of many notable foes, such as Rexy of Night at the Museum (who was the #1 ranked candidate until this defeat!), Grimlock from Transformers, the Digimon mascot Agumon, as well as *clenches teeth, sobbing uncontrollably* my personal favorite candidate, Guilmon, also from Digimon. No hard feelings though, as being defeated by such a legend is an honor unto itself!
