SEPTEMBIT 2021 | FANTASY ADVENTURE Summer last year not so long from starting drawing in pixels, I started doing challenges by Saultoons named Septembit, where you draw every day in the same theme and color palette. So here is some of my icons/stems in dark fantasy style of 2021's Fantasy Adventure challenge. I created a world, so dark, than even skeletons and other creatures of dark magic have to wear crosses of faith to bring the light and protect them from what is living beyond the darkness. Which one is your fav? Do you see it beenig used in D&D or Dark Souls like game?

First Go at Pixel Art

After years of admiring pixel art, I finally decided to have a go at it. The first couple of images were from last month when I attempted to draw one of my chicken plushies. The image on the left was my first attempt when I was just trying out a particular pixel art app. The image on the right was my second attempt after I had figured out the app's interface and decided to go back and refine the original piece to make it look more like the real-life reference.

Today, I was on the fence about buying Aesprite, so I downloaded the trial version and decided to follow some donut tutorials by Saultoons on YouTube. Needless to say, I ended up buying it. I originally wanted this account to focus around my 3D art, but I've been really wanting to mix the two, so I thought why not? It's still art.

Under the Ocean - Pixel Art Animation

What lurks under the ocean? 😨🌊 This was supposed to be the submission for Saultoons' Daily Pixel Art Challenge. But this was days late cause I was having a hard time animating the seaweeds and bubbles right. I was never satisfied with every changes I made with it. 😅 I also accidentally added a shine effect at the top, so... yeah... might as well post this or this might remain a WIP forever. 😂 Video progress to be uploaded soon! I'll have to trim it down first cause the total runtime of progress was 4 hours. A new record for me. 😬😵 🔹 Created for Saultoons' Daily Pixel Art Challenge. Septembit mega thread! Alt colors and more voxel art below the cut! Saultoons always does such a great job picking the theme and the prompts. Always a grand time, 10/10 would recommend. :D

As always, everyone was encouraged to make their own palette, which was fun! I really enjoyed building this little western farm. The BIG thing I did was voxel art, though!

Imagining all of the 2d pieces in 3d space was a fun challenge! Not sure it's one I succeeded at at all times, but it was a first try!
