Okay okay okay. Let’s try again, this time starting with something familiar to me. A character design! This is Aubine. She sells apples! There you go, what an intriguing character and story. 

Okay. So Aubine is the narrator of our story. She’s the drifter between worlds and people, never there to be part of the action, but always there to guide you as the viewer and maybe help our characters along from time to time. Aubine is from nowhere, and is going nowhere. She sells apples to the kindly traveler, or fruit stall, or hungry child. Sometimes, during a rare purple twilight, where the dusty evening haze blurs the world around you, she’ll make a small fire and sit herself gently down, her basket of apples perched neatly next to her. Aubine will lift an apple and procure a few small bottles, twigs and herbs from her basket, and gently sprinkle a few choice pieces into the fire. The fire will sparkle blue and green, and the smell of cinnamon and baking apples will attract a quiet, curious crowd. And Aubine will weave a tale of ancient monsters, demon goddesses, dark sorcerers and unlikely heroes.

She is the apple seller, the story teller, the Ancient One who walks through Time and Space. 

Buy an apple. They’re filled with secrets and songs. You may only pay with a question, but beware the answer.

Aubine the Ancient has seen many lifetimes come and go, but you would never know just by looking at her. She sees the world’s troubles, the heroes and their missions, she knows of the plagues and problems that her beloved people and children face. But she has no real power or magic here, for she was chosen to walk the world, and gifted with immortality, insight and a few small enchantments. Cursed with it. And so her apples are small gifts and curses too.
