Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff worked together in a music video titled 'Befikra'. This was followed by the rumoured couple's first film together Baaghi 2. In the film, the actress dies and that starts the revenge plot for Ronnie's character. Tiger Shroff is currently shooting for Baaghi 3 and it seems like the duo is set to reunite again.

Disha Patani will be doing a dance number and shooting will take place on December 20. The actress will dance alongside hundreds of backup dancers at a set constructed in the city. It will be choreographed by Adil Shaikh, who has assisted Ahmed Khan before. It will be quintessential for the film's narrative and will take it forward.

Baaghi 2 had a recreation of 'Ek Do Teen' which was performed by Jacqueline Fernandez.

Baaghi 3 team recently wrapped up the Serbia schedule of the film. The film stars Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Satish Kaushik, Ankita Lokhande. It is scheduled for March 6, 2020 release.

Nidhhi Agerwal in Ram, Puri Jagannadh ‘iSmart Shankar’

Energetic star Ram’s upcoming movie ‘iSmart Shankar’ under the direction of Puri Jagannadh was launched last week. 

Charmme Kaur the producer of the film has now confirmed the heroine and it is Nidhhi Agerwal. This is her third Telugu film.

Currently, the film’s shooting is going on in Hyderabad and a huge action episode on Ram is being canned. Real Satish is choreographing the fight sequence. Nidhhi is expected to join the sets soon. 

The film will also have Puneeth Issar, Satya Dev, Milind Gunaji, Ashish Vidyarthi and Get-up Srinu in supporting roles.

Mani Sharma is composing music for the film.

Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur are producing ‘iSmart Shankar’ under Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies banner in association with Puri Connects. The makers are planning for May release.

Soorma review: Diljit Dosanjh as Sandeep Singh is spot on

Soorma movie review: Diljit Dosanjh as Sandeep Singh is spot on. And that is the film’s biggest triumph. Whenever Dosanjh is on screen, we are with him.

When she agreed to be part of my first directorial venture, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja (1993), I considered it an honour, because, at that time, she was a top star. I remember, for the track, Dushman Dil Ka Jo Hai Mere, choreographed by Saroj Khan, she had to descend a flight of stairs while staying in character. And she did it without even glancing at the steps. It was commendable. Amitabh Bachchan had sent her a truck full of flowers, and a note of appreciation after seeing the scene. He wondered how she managed to descend the stairs to the tune so smoothly. In fact, he even tried to do so at home, but was unable to get past a few steps.”  He also said, “I was rendered speechless was she took my name among a list of I4 people, who, she said, had impacted her. It was part of her interview to The Illustrated Weekly Of India. The list included the likes of MG Ramachandran, Yash Chopra and K Balachander. I was touched. When my daughter Vanshika was born in 2012, she was so happy. Boney and she gifted me a beautiful painting. She told me that she wanted to share my joy. She was glad that, though late, I had found happiness in my life. I know she genuinely meant it. Boney and I have shared a close bond. After news of the demise, I called him. The 8th Theater Olympics festival is in full swing. We are amazed to see the sheer amount of talent in the country. With captivating Folktales, Modern Dilemmas, and Optimism being at the forefront of the themes on Day 1, we look back at some of the highlights that gripped the audience’s attention.

Shikhandi (The Story of the In-Betweens)

Based on Shikhandi, perhaps one of the earliest transgender mythological characters, the play is a comic, tongue-in-cheek retelling of this character from the epic Mahabharat. The play blends the traditional with the contemporary and questions the concepts of maleness, femaleness and everything in between. The play was first staged as a 20-minute, one-woman performance at Berlin, Germany in 2010 and challenges stereotypes around gender and sexuality, accepting this fluidity and everyone for who they are. The director Faezeh Jalali is an actor, director, producer, choreographer, teacher, writer and aerialist, and founder of the theatre collaborative, FATS Theatre in Mumbai, a collaborative that experiments with form and socially relevant content on stage. She is the recipient of Tanveer Natya Dharma Puraskar and Dubey-Tendulkar Theatre Fellowship. She has also won the Best Supporting Actor (female) at the META 2017.

Caesarean Section: Essays on Suicide

The play talks about the human impulse to commit suicide and the urge to survive that pulls them back from the brink. The play’s music, composed by Eric Satie, is based on polyphonic Corsican songs blended with songs from Bulgaria, Romania, Iceland and Chechnya, forming a new contemporary theatrical rendition with powerful music. Director Jarosław Fret dons many hats – he is the founder and leader of TeatrZAR, a renowned theatre director and actor as well as the curator of the theatre programme of Wrocław: European Capital of Culture 2016. He completed the work on Armine, Sister in November 2013 that relies on elaborate and special stage architecture and original musical dramaturgy while his newest piece Medeas, On Getting Across premiered in 2016. TeatrZAR is a multinational group formed and based in Wrocław. It believes that theatre is not only about ‘thea’ (a Greek word meaning ‘seeing’) but should be heard – the body movement of the singing actor exudes the energy of sound that creates deep images in human mind.

Jagdev Kankali

The play builds on the lore of Jagdev Parmar, one of the Parmar rulers of Malwa, as conveyed through the oral bardic tradition in Rajasthan. It tells the adventures of Jagdev as described in folktale ‘Jagdev Parmar Ni Vaat’ that was translated as ‘Rasmala’ in 1868 A.D. and later included in Rajasthani Vatas in 1934 A.D. The play follows ‘Kuchamani Khyal’ style of storytelling where songs are an important part of the story and the narration. Pandit Lacchi Ram of Kuchaman area developed this style and several akhadas in Marwar and Ajmer regions adopted this style for community performances in villages and cattle festivals. Director Rohit Mathur worked on the form for two years to bring it to the formal theatre arena. He has also performed ‘Kuchamani Khyal’ in North East cities (Guwahati, Shillong, Tejpur, and Itanagar) in 2002. He has performed in various festivals like National Theatre Festival held at Prithvi Theatre in 2003, Sangeet Natak Academy Shwarnutsava in 2003, and Om Shivpuri theatre festival in 2003 and 2014.
