This is probably my very favorite fic I’ve read in this fandom. It’s a mixed media, non traditional narrative, told entirely though academic articles and books, tumblr posts, livejournal comments, and tweets. It’s fantastic. Read the shit out of it.

A historical survey, including but not limited to: one set of exploded genitals, a brief interlude in France, Mel Gibson and other masterworks of casting, eight Academy awards, several dinosaurs, and something Tony Stark has ominously dubbed “the masterpiece.” Art included.

This is fucking hilarious.

This fic is my lifeblood. Bucky deals with ptsd by hanging out with and saving animals. It is actually the greatest thing in the entire world.

All The Leaves Are Brown

The Winter Soldier's mission is nearly complete. Howard and Maria Stark are dead, leaving him to dispatch their four-year-old child. One quick twist of the neck is all it will take, but the Soldier finds he cannot do it.So instead of killing Tony Stark, the Winter Soldier takes him away to raise as his own.

This is absolutely fantastic. Seriously. Also check out the sequel, which features Tony helping his adopted father reunite with Steve.

Iron Man: Director of S.W.O.R.D.

In the wake of the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the Avengers need to pick up the pieces, and figure out where to go from here. Tony had a plan, at least he thought he had a plan, but Steve Rogers seems to have blown most of those out of the water.

Very plot-driven, and one of the only Steve/Tony fics I’ve read lately. Also tbh I prefer this to what actually happened in the MCU after Winter Soldier.
