i love the thought and notion about a character melting because of another character. when they're hugging, the tension releases from their body and they melt into the other person's arms. the intimacy of rubbing someone's back and they melt and you can visibly see their stress leave. melting into a kiss is beautiful too.

yes, i am imagining sam and castiel doing all of these things and they're sweet about it and they care about each other and they love each other so much that they melt.

Sam desperately wanted to reach for his gun, but he wasn’t clear who was the target, him or Dean. If Dean went into one more laughing fit, Sam knew his answer, “Can we please get on the road already?”

“I don’t know if I can, I mean I don’t want you going around kissing everyone in sight like you did back there,” Dean said breathless from laughing so hard, “Sam, I can’t laugh anymore, I think it’ll kill me.”

Sam threw his head back with a deep sigh, “Well, don’t stop on my account.” 

If matters couldn’t get any worse, there was a knock on his window, “Good, you guys haven’t left yet.” Castiel said with Eileen right behind them. “Oh God,” Sam said, putting his head down in between his hands. 

“As much as I’d love to stick around and watch this, I think I might laugh out my spleen or something.” Dean said, getting out of the car. He looked at the three and shook his head, “Yeah.”

Sam didn’t budge, Eileen went around to the driver’s seat, sitting next to him, “Sam.” He spared her a glance, signing, yes?

“We should probably talk about it.” Sam shook his head, “Is Death an option?” He clumsily asked, Eileen shook her head, “Not quite.”

Castiel tried crouching down before teleporting into the back of the car, “We wanted to make sure you’re okay.” Castiel said, glancing at Eileen. “We were shocked-”

“Yeah, I - I don’t know what I was thinking.” Sam muttered, which was the problem, he hadn’t been thinking when he did it. “No one thinks anything of it,” Eileen reassured. 

Sam shook his leg, “It really wasn’t my intention, I… Cas, can you ever forgive me?” 

Castiel patted Sam’s shoulder, “There’s nothing to forgive, it was an accident. A shocking one, but a pleasant one.”

Sam turned around confused, but Castiel was already gone, Eileen patted Sam’s hand, “We knew it was a misunderstanding. There was no way the first time you planned to kiss Castiel was in front of everyone like that, when you get back we can talk more about it.”

“Talk about what exactly?” Sam asked, and Eileen smiled, leaning in, kissing Sam, “About making that accident purposeful.”

heard we’re doing Sammy sundays again. I have a sastiel drabble :3 all fluff, I do promise.

The first time Sam hugs Cas, every thought flows out of his head to be replaced with an unexpected, overwhelming sense of calm. He can’t remember the last time he felt that, and as he greedily wraps his arms tighter around Cas, the feeling grows, a fire fed, keeping shaking hands warm.

For all that Cas has done — and Sam won’t say he’s not guilty, he is — Sam always feels safe with him.

Cas isn’t moving. Sam smiles, squeezing his eyes shut so he doesn’t cry.

“Now’s the part where you hug back,” he says, and copying him, Cas does.

Toxic destiel fans that say sastiel had no chemistry only rely on the fact that they barely had screentime together because if they interacted more they would see they had so much more chemistry then destiel.

Its funny how-

- sam don't blame cas for everything almost every other episode

-He makes sure he's okay

-He understand him and doesn't push him

-They worry about each other

-Every time they meet after being separated they go hug each other first thing

-They held hands from the moment they met

-THEY LITERALLY HAVE A CHILD TOGETHER

and people still say destiel is better.

And for people saying

"jack was dean's kid" you are boring and close minded because yes they had their moments but did we forget that HE TRIED TO KILL HIM MULTIPLE TIMES??? while sam believed in him from the literal get go???

Soulless Sam and Castiel forming a relationship, Sam being aware of Castiel's care and love for him with his soul. Without it, he can't be nervous or anything to that degree and is straightforward about a relationship with Castiel. Believing it's a good idea to have an infatuated angel to help him. For a while it works, anything odd about Sam is written off as trauma from being in Hell, but the longer it carries on, Castiel can feel the lack of empathy. There's nothing in Sam's eyes as there once was, they blame themselves for taking so long to see this, and for not getting him out of the cage sooner. Distances themselves away from Sam unsure how to handle this and Sam's irritation isn't subtle. Castiel isn't used to Sam's anger and takes themselves out of the equation completely. Ignoring any prayer from Sam until he's reunited with Dean and even then, hesitant seeing what Sam had become.

Skip forward to Sam getting his soul back, Castiel is overwhelmed with the notion of seeing the true Sam and not an empty shell, an imitation of him. Wanting a hug to express this joy, not expecting Sam to claim it to be awkward. Thinking soulless Sam only used their obvious affection as an advantage over them, that Sam would never have feelings for them otherwise. Meanwhile, Sam in his fragile state can't handle all these emotions and fragments of memories trying to flood out. Sam wanted that hug but couldn't face it, not with the potential of it being a trick of Lucifer's, or it being reality and he can't handle hiding his emotions, his longing for Castiel. Therefore declining it with a terrible excuse that Castiel seeming accepts.

okay but destiel could’ve been canon and actually made sense without changing anything. season 12 or 13 would’ve been perfect bc by then dean and cas’s connection was basically screaming to be acknowledged. dean’s walls were starting to crack (slowly, painfully), and cas’s loyalty was clearly more than just friendship, even if neither of them said it out loud. the earlier seasons were all buildup, but s12/s13? that’s the payoff window.

so here’s how it happens: cas dies (again, obviously, bc it’s cas), and dean just completely falls apart. like he’s not even angry at first—he’s just silent, broken, staring at cas’s trench coat or whatever reminder is left. then the anger kicks in, and he starts yelling, punching walls, blaming himself, the universe, everything. he finally says something like “I can’t do this without you, cas. I don’t WANT to.” and it’s so raw that sam doesn’t even know what to say.

then cas inevitably comes back (bc he ALWAYS does), and instead of some bro-y “you’re alive” moment, dean just freezes when he sees him. and cas is like “dean?” and dean pulls him into the most desperate hug, muttering “you came back,” and cas says, “I always will. for you.” and BOOM. that’s the shift. it’s not fireworks or some huge declaration; it��s soft and quiet, but it changes everything.

after that, it’s them navigating it in their totally awkward, emotionally repressed way. dean’s still snarky and pretending he’s fine, but he’s softer with cas now, and cas is just staring at him like he’s the only thing in the universe that matters (bc he is). sam’s completely over it, rolling his eyes every time they bicker like an old married couple, and Jack is calling them his dads without even asking. dean acts annoyed but secretly loves it, and cas just looks PROUD.

it wouldn’t even need a big “destiel is canon” moment—it’d just be them slowly, quietly falling into something that was already there all along. bc honestly? it always was.

I might do this same kind of post for sastiel too cuz thats my fav ship. i just went down a destiel rabbit hole a couple of hours ago, and now im here🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Sastiel hugs- Castiel gives tight and firm hugs which Sam loves. He also wraps his wings around Sam. Sam's hugs are softer and more gentle but still slightly firm. Sam loves physical touch and Castiel not huge for it but he's more than glad to be close to Sam

Midam hugs- Micheal hugs firm but not too tight as he doesn't want to hurt Adam. He also hugs with his wings to give Adam a sense of security. Adam hugs tight and firm. Micheal likes to dig his nose into the crook of Adams neck which is mainly because he never got physical touch as a kid or growing up at all.
