My question is why do you prefer Annie and Finnick? Do you think it is because we don’t know much about them or their romance so you can make it what you want? I’ve personally never felt connected to this couple because we see so little of them and know so little about how Annie feels or thinks.

yeah, that's exactly why! personally i get really nervous writing everlark bc both katniss and peeta are already well established characters + all 3 books are in katniss' head so we know her voice super well, but i don't have to worry about that with annie. the flexibility is really nice for me and the whole "no one seeing them could doubt their love" concept is really appealing to me. i also don't think they are lovey dovey and cute---i think they're actually really toxic together, so i feel like there is more leeway to explore that than with everlark since we already spent 3 books with them
