Notes:

This is basically a study of different forms of heartbreak and how they can affect you differently. The main pairing is Briensa, but the other pairings are significant enough for me to tag them. This is the first fic in English language I post here, so this is a little unnerving.

The title is from the poem "Litany in Which Certain Things Are Crossed Out" by Richard Siken.

when I started shipping it if I did: i watched the show before i read the books, so i started with that reunion hug in season 6 - cinematic poetry

my thoughts: perfect, lovely, beautiful yes i DID copy/paste my theonsa reply

What makes me happy about them: ugh i just love found families and i’m such a sucker for the two of them ruling together??? also! so many hugs and gentle kisses!

What makes me sad about them: d&d’s fanfic au they got funded by hbo after the show was unfortunately and abruptly canceled two episodes into season 7.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: hmmmmm i’m not crazy about fics that blame sansa for political decisions she made, including but not limited to sansa telling tyrion about jon’s parentage? like i’m totally fine when it’s a fic written from a jon perspective or something, because biased pov/unreliable narrator/etc. but i tend to stay away from fics that sacrifice/put down either character for the other. 

things I look for in fanfic: political mastermind sansa stark, political!jon, a healthy relationship of equals, genuine love and affection, and ofc i love me some hurt/comfort

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: show: sansa - theon, brienne, shae / jon - ygritte, tormund. books: sansa - jeyne, myranda, mya, maybe aegon, MAYBE harry (i’m reserving judgment) / jon - ygritte. i’m not as into book!jon/tormund and i just can’t see it happening? i’m also not opposed to jon x val, but i don’t ship it

My happily ever after for them: king and queen in the north!!!

who is the big spoon/little spoon: they switch off, sometimes sansa wants to be hugged after nightmares, sometimes she wants him far away from her so jon sleeps on the floor. sometimes he needs to be reminded that he’s not dead and so sansa sort of curls around him with her hand over her heart. it varies. 

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: taking down / watching sansa take down pompous lords and ladies.

the dress (a song of ice and fire fanfic)

Sansa/Mya // G // 553 words // Modern AU -  It wasn't like Mya to be late for their dates...

It wasn't like Mya to be her dates with Sansa, she often even arrived earlier.

Sansa appreciated that a lot, in all her previous relationships she always felt that her time was not as valued as the time of the people she had been with, she was always the one who came early and although she had never complained about it (since those relationships had so many worse things to complain about) that was something that bothered her. So when Mya was late that afternoon she found herself not insecure but legitimately concerned that something had happened to her.

Her concern was replaced by amusement when she saw Mya arrive in a dress. Not just a dress but makeup, not the kind of dark makeup Mya sometimes wore to highlight her blue eyes, but a delicate one, the kind Sansa would wear, she was also wearing earrings and a  necklace. In fact for the first time since they had met Sansa felt the least feminine of the pair.

"So alien entity that obviously took my girlfriend's place, what's your name?" Sansa said with a smile.

“Ugh. I should never have introduced you to The X-Files ”Mya said rolling her eyes.

"Maybe, but you must admit it's a case worthy of Mulder and Scully: why is Mya Stone wearing a dress?"

"Hilarious"

“Really? Others always comment that I barely have a sense of humor, Randa must be influencing me. So�� why are you wearing a dress? ”

"..."

"I'm waiting"

"Because I'm meeting your parents today and you keep saying your mom complains about the way your sister dresses and I want them to like me okay?"

“They'll like you anyway, just the fact that you're not Joffrey and not exorbitantly older than me left them in a pink cloud, also my dad and yours always wanted their kids together and since Arya and Gendry are taking so long to get their shit together I think we're their last hope. You don't have to change to impress them. ”

"But I want to impress them, and it's just a dress, if you're going to get me some extra points with them I want to wear"

"Okay, if you really want it I won't stop you"

“Also Randa would be pissed if I ruined all her work before I had a chance to be in public. It was her fault that I was late for the record, I had to undo much of what she did. Randa wants to doll me up me since we were kids, she finally had a chance so she exaggerated, believe it or not that's the lighter and more sober version of what she wanted to do. ”

"So you finally made Randa's dreams come true for my parents?"

"Actually I was doing it for you, I know how important they are to you and I think things would be easier for you if they liked me."

Sansa felt so touched that for a moment she couldn't breathe, or think what to say, then thinking that actions at that moment would mean more than words, she kissed Mya.

After the kiss, still a little breathless, Sansa said:

"I think I forgot to say, you look very very pretty today"

“So you do like me in a dress after all”

“Honey I like you anyway”

2, Talk about three of the most important ships throughout your life.

1. probably Jon stewart and Shayera hol, Greenlantern and hawkgirl from the JLA cartoon yeeeears ago. My first ship that I adored and discovered fanfic of, and shipped so hard and THEN the episode when they kissed!! The build up for 12 year old me had me screaming. Number 2 is Emma Frost and Scott Summers, they had a great story that, and because comics, had years on years worth of material. Also a big heartbreak ship. Number 3 is obviously Petyr x Sansa. I’m so invested its mad. Their the ship that actually got me really really writing fic. I’ve also hunted far and low for a ship with the same-ish dynamics, and nothing is quite the same. 

31.Talk about one of your favorite headcanons for a ship you love

I’ve probably mentioned this one before somewhere for pxs, but Sansa loves dogs. She wants a puppy, begs for a puppy, Mya just said a bitch in the stables gave birth to a litter, I want one I want one, please, please, please, but petyr WONT budge, he hates dogs and animals (cats are acceptable but not encouraged) they have fleas and track in dirt and its NOT to sleep on the furniture! It’s an ongoing battle.

“At the gates of the moon”- It’s an orphan account, I would have to find my kindle downloaded version to remember who the writer is, she came and went all the way back in 2012.

All of Marquise collection of oneshots (theres like 80! I can’t choose just one! Lines in the sand and a complete education are ones I remember off the top of my head though)

“Dora” -Notoriously. I’ve done a lot of fic recs before and used most of my pxs and reylo examples, so here, a HP lupin x tonks fic because I adore them, but theres not really a harry potter fandom anymore, I missed that train, so I dont talk about it much.

“plaything”- drbwho. Because we love a dark fic.

I’m searching for my favourite reylo modern au set in a renaissance fair (dont JUDGE, its amazing!) but i cant find it in my bookmarks and it may be one of the ‘this fic has been deleted sorry’ alerts. real fear.

when I started shipping it if I did: i’m reserving judgment. the preview of wow gives me more hope than i had initially, but i’m very skeptical and disinclined toward it, ngl.

my thoughts: sansa stark deserves someone who will love and cherish and be faithful to her for the rest of her life.

What makes me happy about them: if sansa is happy, that.
