One of the reasons why Sanne initially didn't have a good public reception was because she was involved with two men who would proceed to talk shit about her when she ended the respective relationships.

Time for more mundane Haberdae headcanons because I feel like it.

Anyways, while both Sanne and Joseph are capable of cooking, they have to split who cooks what and when due to their different working hours.

Joseph is responsible for breakfast since he has to wake up and go to work earlier while Sanne deals with dinner since her work shift ends earlier.

Of course, this doesn't mean they always cook. Once again, like I established in a previous headcanon, they don't feel up to it on occasions.

Sometimes, they just do away with instant meals, takeout or even go out to eat if possible.

When neither of them have to deal with work, it becomes random somewhat. But they also like to cook together when they get the chance.

They always cook together on special occasions, like making a Christmas meal, for instance. Depending on what that occasion is, they will make food from their respective cultures.

And as a little bonus mostly for myself...

Joseph had to figure out how to cook for himself since it wasn't always guaranteed that his mother would leave anything for him. And when she realized he could cook for himself, she no longer felt obligated to make sure he was fed.

For Sanne, she was taught by her mother since she was a girl, and traditional values dictate that a woman's place was in the kitchen.

And while he wasn't the best company to have due to being a troubled teen, he still introduced her to the outside world and helped her adapt.

Thanks to him, she realized she wanted to be part of the world, not just in it.

And because of that, Sanne's mother is very resentful of Joseph. She blames him entirely for ruining her bond with Sanne when it was already becoming strained by the time they met. But most importantly, she believes he corrupted her.

But both of them stuck to their guns despite everything. That was what got them through in their days at Haberdae High, where it was the other way around. If no one understood their relationship, they didn't care. They knew that they loved each other and wouldn't settle for anyone else.

It wasn't until their wedding day that public perception about their relationship began to change.

For the first time, Sanne allowed herself to be vulnerable and was openly happy. It left a lot of people baffled at first, with them opting to believe she was faking it.

Just thinking about some oddly specific lore for my main SDJ AU.

I am thinking about living spaces now and how much they reflect the person or people living in it.

And I think about how Sanne and Joseph's respective apartments looked before they finally settled down together.

After all, both had demanding jobs. And even with the two of them working together, they struggled to keep everything in order. There were even days when they didn't even both at all.
