[ad_1] GG News Bureau New Delhi, 23rd Dec. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday, accusing the Delhi government of making empty promises as it kicked off registration for two of its flagship welfare schemes, the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana’ and ‘Sanjeevani Yojana.’ BJP’s national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticized Arvind Kejriwal for failing to address the pressing issues in Delhi despite being in power for a decade. “What has AAP done for Delhi? They promised a pollution-free city, but Delhi is still a gas chamber. The Yamuna remains unclean, and public health continues to suffer,” Poonawalla said. He also condemned the Delhi government’s handling of air pollution, which has led to diseases like malaria and dengue. In response, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal questioned the BJP’s record in the capital, stating, “What has the BJP done for Delhi? Nothing. Their only manifesto is to abuse me.” He accused the BJP of lacking a vision for Delhi, pointing out that the opposition has no clear chief ministerial face or strategy. Addressing a press conference today, Union Minister and BJP MP Anurag Thakur said, “The AAP government polluted Yamuna River so badly, it has become so smelly, foamy and poisonous. I remember, during a press conference in 2022, Kejriwal had said that before the next election, he, along with people would take a dip in the Yamuna River, that is before the 2025 election.” “Kejriwal Ji, 10 years have gone by and only 10 days are left to go for 2025, did the cleaning of Yamuna happen? Has Yamuna become clean?” he asked. #WATCH | Delhi: BJP MP Anurag Thakur says, " AAP govt polluted Yamuna River so badly, it has become so smelly, foamy and poisonous…I remember, during a press conference in 2022, Kejriwal had said that before the next election, he, along with people would take a dip in the… https://t.co/GvkCDa92Xj pic.twitter.com/pcMOSJn8Hl — ANI (@ANI) December 23, 2024 The controversy revolves around the AAP’s new welfare initiatives. On Monday, Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi launched the registration process for the ‘Mahila Samman Yojana,’ which aims to provide Rs 1,000 per month to women aged 18 and above. Kejriwal also promised to increase the amount to Rs 2,100 if AAP wins the upcoming elections. Additionally, the ‘Sanjeevani Yojana’ will offer free medical treatment for those above 60 years of age. He assured that volunteers would visit every home for smooth registration, avoiding long queues and making the process more accessible. The launch of these schemes comes ahead of Delhi’s 2024 assembly elections, where AAP seeks a third consecutive term after its overwhelming victory in 2020, winning 62 out of 70 seats. Understanding Herpes
Herpes is caused by two types of viruses: Herpes Simplex Virus type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2). HSV-1 generally results in oral herpes, characterized by cold sores around the mouth, while HSV-2 typically leads to genital herpes. Both types are highly contagious and can cause recurrent outbreaks.
Government Healthcare Programs
India's government provides several healthcare programs aimed at offering free herpes treatment in India or subsidized medical treatment to its citizens. These programs can assist those seeking free herpes treatment:
1. Ayushman Bharat Yojana: Also known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), this program provides health coverage for low-income families. Beneficiaries can access free consultations, medications, and treatments at empaneled hospitals.

These schemes provide free or subsidized healthcare services, including herpes treatment.
Free Clinics and Hospitals
Numerous clinics and hospitals across India offer free or low-cost medical services, including treatment for herpes:
1. Government Hospitals: Government-run hospitals provide free consultations, diagnostic tests, and medications. They often have specialized departments for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) where herpes treatment is available.
2. Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs): NGOs such as the Family Planning Association of India (FPAI) and the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) offer free STI testing and treatment services.
3. Community Health Centers: Community health centers and primary health care centers (PHCs) provide basic healthcare services, including free herpes treatment, especially in rural areas.
Online Resources and Telemedicine
With the rise of digital health platforms, individuals can now access free herpes treatment and consultations online:
1. e-Sanjeevani: The government’s telemedicine service, e-Sanjeevani, offers free online consultations with healthcare providers. Patients can discuss their symptoms and receive guidance on managing herpes.

N Chandrababu Naidu’s Innovative Schemes For Child Welfare In Andhra Pradesh
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government, led the way by Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been a frontrunner in championing the cause of child welfare in Andhra Pradesh. Over the years, the TDP has implemented a range of innovative TDP policies and schemes aimed at ensuring the well-being and development of children in the state. Let's delve into some of the significant contributions and TDP achievements of the TDP in the realm of child welfare. One of the standout achievements of the former TDP government was the successful launch of the "Bala Sanjeevani" scheme in 1999. This visionary TDP scheme was designed to provide nutritious food to pregnant women and children under the age of six, effectively combatting malnutrition among children in the state. It played a pivotal role in enhancing the health and growth of young children, setting them on a path towards a brighter future. Another milestone in the TDP's commitment to child welfare was the "Balika Vidya Bhagya" scheme, initiated in 1995. This program sought to provide free education to girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, thereby increasing the enrollment of girls in schools and ensuring that they had access to quality education. The TDP party efforts in this regard not only empowered young girls but also contributed to the overall educational development of the state.
The TDP government, under the leadership of Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu further launched the "Balika Samridhi Yojana" scheme in 1997. This scheme aimed to provide financial assistance to girl children from birth until they reached the age of 18. It was a significant step towards improving the social and economic status of girl children, ensuring their well-being and fostering gender equality. In addition to these crucial TDP developments, the TDP government implemented various policies to safeguard children from abuse and exploitation. A dedicated
toll-free helpline was established, allowing distressed children to seek immediate help. Moreover, a specialized cell was created to address cases of child abuse and exploitation, reinforcing the government's commitment to creating a safer environment for children. The TDP leaders have consistently underscored the imperative of protecting children and investing in their welfare. Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has repeatedly emphasized that investing in children is an investment in the future of the state. Other prominent TDP leaders, such as Nara Lokesh, have played instrumental roles in implementing various child welfare schemes.
The impact of TDP contributions and Political schemes on the lives of children in Andhra Pradesh has been profound. The state's infant mortality rate has witnessed a significant decline, and the enrollment of girls in schools has substantially increased. Furthermore, the TDP government's unwavering efforts to protect children from abuse and exploitation have culminated in the creation of a safer and more nurturing environment for the youngest members of society. In conclusion, the TDP government, under the leadership of Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has left an indelible mark on child welfare in Andhra Pradesh. The party's innovative policies and schemes have played a pivotal role in reducing malnutrition, enhancing girls' education, and protecting children from abuse and exploitation. The legacy of the TDP in the realm of child welfare is a testament to their unwavering commitment to the well-being and future of Andhra Pradesh's children, leaving a lasting impact for generations to come. Local news and all the TDP updates from the social media platforms provide information regarding the Legacy of the TDP party.

Maharashtra government exempts fine on farmer's outstanding electricity bill
The Maharashtra government has exempted interest/fine on outstanding electricity bills of farmers.
The move has come a day after the state's energy minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule appealed to the farmers to clear off their pending electricity dues within the next week to avail the benefit of a scheme under which the interest on pending bills was exempted.
He asked the farmers to pay their dues without any penalty under the Mukhyamantri Krushi Sanjeevani Yojana.
He also said that they will issue notice for disconnection of electricity of farmers who do not pay their electricity bills by next week.
The minister said that around 41 lakh farmers had outstanding electricity bills which amounted to about Rs 19,272 crore. He added that the government spends Rs 6.50 per unit for supplying electricity to farmers, but it charges only Rs 1.80 per unit in return.
He also said that in the last three years not a single electricity connection of farmers was disconnected.
Meanwhile, the farmer's groups in the state have announced three protests in November.
The farmers will protest for the continuous disruption of power from the electricity suppliers, who disconnect services to make farmers pay their pending dues.
