In the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, close to Tawang, is Madhuri Lake, often referred to as Sangetsar Lake. It is a gorgeous high-altitude lake. Due to its presence in the Bollywood film "Koyla," which starred the well-known Indian actress Madhuri Dixit, the lake acquired its common moniker, Madhuri Lake. The lake is surrounded by picturesque mountains and a rich flora at an elevation of almost 12,000 feet (3,660 meters) above sea level. The crystal-clear waters of Madhuri Lake are renowned for their bizarre blue and green hues. Madhuri Lake is created by the melting of snow from the surrounding peaks. The Sangetsar Lake in Tawang was formed as a result of an earthquake in 1973 when a part of the mountain caved in forming a locked water body. The lake was given another nickname "Madhuri Lake" in the 90s when a song sequence on Madhuri Dixit was filmed here for the film 'Koyla'. The lake is about 3 hours drive away from the Tawang Town.
