Today was suppose to be my only Saturday off in December and somehow it became one of my busiest! That’s the unexpected life of an entrepreneur! I will be in and out of meetings today with 2020 couples all day and then I’ll be capturing a beautiful Gatsby inspired bday party this evening! I think I have it hard sometimes when I’m sitting behind my computer desk post processing images but I also think about all the hours that a couple invests into their big day prior to and I feel bad. I know so many wedding planners who were getting married first and realize “wow.. this is a lot of work - I bet I could get paid doing this” and that’s how it all starts! But only a few actually succeed... I never thought I’d have to learn how to run a business, be my own marketing team, be my own receptionist, become people friendly, actually make a sell, pay taxes... whoa!!! Yup — the things you must do in order to do the thing you love! I give my wedding planners mad props for all that they do prior to the big day! I’m sure they feel the same for me, all that I do after! Am I going to become a hermit crab next week to finish processing galleries? You betcha I am — it’s in my job description on line 237!
