So many mixed feelings about my city. Growing up here in the 80's and 90's was nothing short of magical. The people, the vibes, the camaraderie that came with running through the cuts as youngsters and speaking our own native dialect... One by one over the years I've watched nearly every one of my favorite mom n pop shops, local restaurants, bars, and old friends lose leases, get pushed out, cater to these boring ass transplants and lose the elements that brought these fuckers here in the first place. Most days I roll through and see a bunch of white washed plastic ass bullshit. But some days you see them folks who you know have been here since year one just like you and you give a nod or throw a duce on GP cuz y'all know what it is and what it's become. It's unspoken. Those small moments make it seem not so bad sometimes. I used to be in love with my hometown. Now I just try not to have hard feelings but I can't lie I'm salty about it. RIP Frisco, your spirit lives on through those of us that remain the same in the game and still swang them thangs. I WILL NEVER BE PUSHED OUT.

The colors and vibe of #NorthBeach and #chinatown in #SanFrancisco give way to the staid and bland tan and gray of the #FinancialDistrict and #downtown. Here, the #ColumbusTower is dwarfed by the iconic #transamericapyramid. What the smaller building lacks in height, it surpasses in beauty. Of course, the world famous @karlthefog played around and made the top of the skyscraper glow! Food and nightlife are abundant in the neighborhoods behind me.
