Sandamuni Pagoda, Mandalay, Myanmar ❤💛🧡💚 Sandamani Pagoda (Burmese: စန္ဒာမုနိစေတီ; formally နန်းမြေဘုံသာစံနန်းတော်ရာစန္ဒာမုနိဘုရား) is a Buddhist stupa located southwest of Mandalay Hill. It was commissioned by King Mindon Min in 1874 as a memorial to Mindon Min's younger brother, Kanaung Mintha, who was assassinated along with 3 princes, Malun, Saku, and Maingpyin, during the 1866 Myingun Prince rebellion. The pagoda was erected at the provisional location of the royal palace, the Nanmyay Bontha. This pagoda contains the graves of the Kanaung, Sagu Mintha, Malun and Maingpyin Princes. It also contains an iron image of the Buddha cast by Bodawpaya in 1802, and removed from Amarapura by Mindon in 1874. The statue reportedly weighs 40,924.8 pounds (18,563.2 kg). Bagan & Mandalay, Myanmar.
Myanmar is like no other place on earth, renowned as "The Golden Land", a name inspired by the dramatic view of the gold-spired pagodas that can be found throughout the country, but mostly in Bagan. Bagan is an ancient city with thousands of Buddhist temples scattered across miles of scenic terrains on an archaeological zone.  Today it is still a functioning sacred place known in the world where thousands come for prayer, meditation, peace, and spiritual awakening.  Most of the temples you'll see in Bagan were resurrected between the 11th and 13th century and close to around 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed; and today only around 2,200 temples and pagodas still remain.
In Bagan I covered Dhammayangyi Pahto / Andapa (largest temple complex from 11th century, 1st temple built), Gawdawpalin Pahto (largest temple in Bagan), Nyaungu (largest stupa in Bagan), Nandamanny Paya (13th century temple), Shwedagon Pagoda and many many more.
In Mandalay, I also covered numerous pagodas, stupas and monasteries alike starting with the 729 stupas known as the worlds largest book (stone tablets inscribed with Buddhist text) at the Kuthodaw Pagoda. All 729 sacred tablets are housed and protected in their own little white temple.  This was an absolute stunning and peaceful site with all these white temples in perfect alignment.  Then I moved forward to the other temples such as  Sandamani Pagoda, Shwe Kyaung Monastery, Mandalay Royal Palace, and Maha Muni Pagoda.  At the pagodas and monasteries I met with a few monks where we exchanged learnings, teachings, and connected on a global level.
These are the steps, walks, and countries I travel through before my - hopefully - bigger mission is fulfilled and completed with The Promised Land, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV_3hjYC6EU&t=258s
