"I don't think you know him very well. Or at all. Can't you tell he's mostly just putting on that front to get everyone to leave him alone? It's really, really annoying to listen to all of you bashing on him like he's a total lost cause or something, honestly. He's not, like, fundamentally terrible, he's just standoffish and agoraphobic and has no filter. Which are just normal qualities, not moral characters."

"He's smart, too. Not just intelligent, but like, he's a great problem solver and will do whatever he needs to to get by on his own terms. Sometimes that does mean working with people, and as long as you don't mind the bitching, it's not even that bad. I really don't get why you guys are so determined to paint him as a failure and a generally bad guy."

"And I mean. There was that one time Kizien almost cornered me up on the Ripmaw and Euktis let me hide in his lab so I wouldn't have to talk to him. Even told Melmel to make sure he didn't come in after me. He very much so could have just left me to weasel out of that on my own, but decided that tolerating my presence was better than letting that crazyass try and get his hands on me. hi zavi! do u think being clear abt ur intentions with euktis would be helpful? like i understand wanting to take things slow and make him more tolerant of just kinda being around people, but euktis seems like the kind of person that might get frustrated if he doesnt understand what someone's intentions are :0

"You do have a point, but at the same time, my intentions aren't just to date him. That's actually kind of small in the grand scheme of things. Like, I'll gladly keep it to myself if it means helping him both with his work and with other people, y'know? But I'll keep that in mind."

"Once again, sex is not the ultimate goal of this. You're right, I'm no therapist, and that would take a professional tackling all of his various phobias. I just want to study him like a little bug. I find whatever's wrong with him in conjunction with all the other stuff fascinating."
