This is an important month for the LGTBQ+ community, even though every month should be #pridemonth, its a time to celebrate love in all its forms. As a recent member to the community, yes everyone, I am with you, I feel like its time for me to stop hiding in the shadows and be proud of myself, of my bisexuality, and to continue to thrive in my newly found freedom. To continue to love myself, to love my partner, and forever be a voice for those who can’t speak up, to represent a community that, despite all the hatred and bigotry, has so much love to give. #iamwithyou

Today is National Coming Out Day and in response to that, I just have a few things I would like to say:

After being an ally in the LGTBQIA community for over 20 years, I can officially say I am now proudly one of you.

My bisexuality is not yours to dissect, discuss, or slander. I know who I am and while it took me a while to comes to terms with it and myself, I am not ashamed and will not allow this post to become public fodder to be used negatively. Even though I have no means to stop you, just know that nothing you say will dampen this spirit inside me. And lastly,

I love you. You know who you are. I have enjoyed spending these past few months with you. You've been patient, you've been kind, you are wonderful, beautiful, perfect in every way and I will spend the rest of my life reminding you. You are the reason I am making this post today. You are the reason I am finally able to be my authentic self and to love who that person is. I don't know exactly what our future holds but I look forward to experiencing it with you. To feel love in a new way, to live our lives the way we want too and not be scared that someone will see. I want them to see, I want them to know just how much you mean to me.
