Thinking about Suo and how he tries out different nicknames on you to see how you react. Just uses them at the most random of times. The first few or so are a miss. It only earns him a roll of your eyes, a heavy sigh, or a return quip that is equally teasing.

But then finally, one day, he nails it. Uses that one special word that makes your body freeze up and your brain stutter before you mumble and fluster at him, averting your eyes, your hand rubbing at your neck.

The smile that curls his lips is unlike any other he’s ever given you. It’s kindness and joy on the surface, pretty golden wrapping paper covering a hungry desire and brimming with victory. And his eyes… the way they see through you, reading you like the open book that you are now that he’s verbally stripped you bare.

He likes what he sees. And now he’s never going to leave you alone.

There's something special in his eyes, in the way his dark orbs see you, want you, need you. It's the way his pupils dilate, in the way he drinks you in. They're open doorways, a temple where you will be worshipped if only you'll step through and take your rightful place at his altar. It's a promise of love, protection, commitment that he binds himself with like a vow written on a thread of fate, a noose tied to hang himself with from your heart should he ever break it.
