Dull, rosy red could only watch and burn into his back as Sampo walked away with his hands in his pockets, not even looking back as he waved goodbye to Natasha. He couldn't do much to avoid her questions, sure, but she never pressed, something Sampo both was grateful for, and.. nevermind.
If you need anything, tell me. What a thing to be say to him! Why would he need to anything? He was Sampo Koski!
He hummed a little as he danced between the shadows, slipping through the tired, cracked streets. The Underground was pleasant today, at least, something he only entertained as he took in the stuffy, dusty air. It was almost enough to make a man cough! Turning into an alley helped the dust a little bit, though the stuffy nature never went away. A leap, a grab, and a little bit of scrambling got him up the wall and onto the window ledge, getting enough leverage to slip inside his little hideaway. He would have gone to the quarters Wildfire provided him, but with that look in her eye, he didn't want to dare cross paths with Natasha for a few weeks. She had an intuition he had only seen two other people match, and he wasn't in the mood for an interogation!
The less she knew about him, the better. Not that there was much to know to begin with~!
He had to laugh a little at the thought. Being blindsighted by Hook's persistent questions like what his favorite color was had been amusing in hindsight, really— he hadn't had any answers for her. Favorite color, food, toy— she had bombarded him and he had just stumbled over his words before making an escape. The kid just wouldn't take 'I don't have one' for an answer, the possiblity never even crossed her little mind!
Perhaps you should get some favorites? No, no, that would make him to personable. Hes lovable, but not meant to be loved, yknow~? Giving himself a little bit to much humanity would dare people to try— this distance was enough to keep himself safe. Sampo Koski didn't need friends, after all, not a single person had to know his name. He just had to survive.
With a whistle, Sampo shrugged off his jacket and tossed it over the half-broken chair. The broken mirror shattered his reflection as he walked past, a sight so familiar he barely gave it mind. There was a sense of comfort here as he flopped into a lopsided arm chair, in knowing that no one would try to find him here. He had only given a few people reason to chase him, and it wasn't like any of them were down here~. There was no risk of being disturbed free to recuperate and plan his next move as much as he liked.
If something's going on, you need to tell me, Sampo. The only way this works is if we trust each other.
Sampo chortled at the idea. Natasha, bless her heart- she tried, she really tried~! His eyes drifted to the red ribbon carelessly crumpled up in the corner, the last gift he had gotten while on this planet. It was amusing to think someone thought him, him, important enough to be given a major role in this story.
We can't help you if you're going to be an elusive prick.
Seele's voice still rang clear in his head, the hints of disgust still layered in her voice. Sampo had to give it to her, he thought she would throw away that ole scythe when she found out he had sourced it for her.
What do you want…? Nat told me to be careful around you.
He had to give it to Luka, the lad had spunk. He was still very wary around him to, he had to applaud him~ caution was smart!
Y'know, with that fake smile of yours- some people might think you don't trust them. Don't pocket the wrench.
Serval had the brightest mind on this planet, if Sampo was to be any judge. She was wicked smart and knew her way around a toolbox better then himself!! He had to look back at it with some fondness, she kept up fast with him.
Son, I still can't get a read on you, but you've got a good heart.
Oleg's sentiment had come as total surprise, though Sampo had been quick to discard it. How could he be a judge for Sampo's heart? The one on his sleeve was merely scribbled on with marker, barely legible as is.
As his head lolled off to the side, Sampo tried to ignore how something in his chest tried to get heavier, fall into his stomach and choke up his throat. The foreign feeling made him uncomfortable— it was nothing more then a hinderence. These people would connect with each other, with their fellow humans, but he was an outsider to that. He had no place in this web, and trying to entangle himself in it would only spell for disaster.
He just had to keep his distance, thats all there was to it.
