             ☾                      ❛   so are you... staying on campus for the summer?   ❜   maybe she’s wondering if she’ll have company, as the brunette has decided to forgo the family vacations this year in favor of distancing herself with the excuse of extra classes. thankfully, her father BEAMED at the idea, his daughter!! what a hard worker. she’d take great care of the family business one day ( yeah fucking right ). college was her chance to escape, really, to get away from the DRAMA and death that surrounded her father. he was a god awful man, one so power hungry and aching for some cartoonish villain world domination that she barely considered him human most days. her thoughts push her gaze upwards towards roman, wondering how it was that two people that were never supposed to meet, ended up like this. not that she’s complaining, of course.

                        ❛   cause i ah-- i’m gonna stay here. figured i’d take a few summer classes, use that as an excuse not to go home. dad’s been worked up and i just don’t wanna deal with him if i can help it.   ❜   breathless continuance fills the air, as if she needed to defend her question. she’s not sure why, though undoubtably no matter how much time she spends with roman, she’ll never really believe its REAL. good things don’t happen to people with bad families, right? right? shit. who knows.

         It was hard for Seth to grasp how such a simple change in dynamic could fuel his desire to fight but since their conversation on how they truly felt the Architect found it harder than normal to tone down the need to protect Roman.  He’d had a lot of reservations with the other man’s return to the ring, mostly because the flashbacks of that fateful night refused to stop.  In the nights leading up to Fastlane all Seth could do was combat the nightmares involving Brock’s callous cackle and the crack that changed his life.

         But, they’d done it.  The brotherhood banded together one more time in order to put several things to rest once and for all.  Both Baron and Drew had been a thorn in the Shield’s side for longer than Seth cared to admit.  Seeing the decimation after the match ran it’s course with both satisfying and bittersweet.

         Pain pulsated through his body.  Muscles ached from the torment his body had gone through, especially that jump off the stands.  But, it was all worth it for the roar if the crowd.  It was even more worth it to put Drew in his god damn place.  The most important part of the fight didn't’ come until the end, though.  Seth would do anything to make sure Roman’s smile kept shining bright.  Reigns was his north star.  

          Home.

         As soon as they wandered back stage, Seth removed the utility vest.  It had moved so much during the match he was surprised it didn’t choke him at some point.  He was also surprised he didn’t get frustrated enough to rip it off.  In retrospect, it was easy to see that his worry over Roman pushed a lot of other thoughts to the back burner.  McMahon had pulled his lover back to work far sooner than was safe.  Seth wasn’t honestly sure his heart could take another beating with that much guilt.  As it was, he felt like he was constantly suffocating on it.

         “ You looked good, “ the Architect reaches out once they managed to push past the main bulk of bodies.  Fingers reach for any skin they can come in contact with.  “ Can’t remember the last time I saw you that happy. “    //   @samoankiing liked the fastlane s.c.

          “You ready to go get that drink, big dawg?” Seth questions with a wide grin and an arm wrapped around Roman’s shoulders. They still haven’t gone for their celebratory drink, gone to ‘burn it down in other ways’, because of Ambrose, and now that’s done and he just wants to get to spending time with the man in front of him, his damn husband, despite everything they’ve gone through. All around, people congratulate the Samoan, and Seth can’t get rid of the grin on his face, wouldn’t want to get rid of the grin on his face, either, knowing how happy Roman is in this moment. “Beers or something harder?” He adds with another grin, squeezing Roman’s shoulder while shifting his weight on his feet, full of energy and something more.

          Morning sun has him squinting, too bright rays burning tired blue eyes. Not for the first time, Barnes reflects that it's just too early for this shit. As if not enough to be woken at ass o'fuck in the morning with news of a fire in one of their warehouses, the Commandos had gotten to the site just to realize that this was no simple fire. Like many other city officials, the club has the firefighters in their pockets, and the information they give makes what happened very clear: with accelerant all over the place, they know someone purposely set fire to their warehouse.

          And because shit has a way to keep piling up, their search inside the burned out place only confirms what was already a suspicion: their merchandise is gone. 1.5kg of pure heroin, the same amount of cocaine, and not a single trace of it left. 800k in drugs and someone stole it from them, killing their warehouse watchers in the process.

          They talk to some of the guards from other, nearby buildings, and mentions of distinct physical characteristics keep pointing out to the Samoans - which, fuck. They share territory in San Francisco, and while not allies, they had tolerated each other's presence so far. But something like this? If it doesn't get sorted out, the Commandos will be forced to go into war with the demon crew, and Bucky knows that'll end in a bloodbath. Brain might still be barely working, but he has enough discernment to volunteer to go talk to the Samoan's president. Figures they should at least try for diplomacy before things get ugly.

          Still thinking it's too goddamn early for this shit, Barnes parks his bike in front of the Samoan restaurant. The symbol of the Howling Commandos in his vest makes eyes immediately snap his way as he pushes the door open and walks inside. Tolerating each other doesn't mean they're friendly. "I want to talk to your pres," his words are directed to the man behind the bar counter, who's wearing a vest not unlike his own.

         As many times as Seth’s heard the roar of his own entrance music it’s never electrified him as wholly as it did this particular night.  Eager eyes were fixated on the screen in the locker room to drink in every single word dripping from his best friend’s mouth.  Rough fingertips hover in front of his lips.  Unshed tears burn at the back of his eyes.  But, unlike Roman’s departure, Seth manages to keep those tears at bay this time around.  There’s too much pride swelling in his chest that the way the crowd reacts.  An energy hums through every aspect of the building in a way that hadn’t been there since the Big Dog first left the yard.

          In Seth most of all.

          Energy pushes him forward.  Seth finds himself bathing in red light for the millionth time.  Arms extend to wrap around Roman.  He’s not careful.  He’s not hesitant.  The Architect holds Roman to his chest with a desperation he hadn’t felt since first seeing the other man mysteriously appear on his porch back in Iowa.  

          “ Listen to this, man.  They missed you just as much as I did. “  Seth grips the back of Roman’s neck without a shred of fear, though the action is more habit than anything else.  Words fail him.  Elation has him feeling like he’s floating on clouds.  “ Welcome home. “   //   @samoankiing gets a random starter

i’ve officially had levi for a whole year !&& i’m technically not quite at 400 followers yet, but i’d say 392 is enough to make this a double celebration !! i just wanna say from the very bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. the love&& support you guys have shown levi is the reason i’ve stuck around, even through 2 blogs && multiple breaks. it’s because of you guys that i’ve been able to pour my heart&& soul into a muse that i love so fucking much, in a fandom that has treated me so well. i know i don’t interact with nearly enough of you&& that’s definitely my fault, but i wanna fix that !! idk how yet but i’ll figure it out lol. ANYWAYS thank you to everybody that follows me. thank you to all my mutuals. thank you to everybody that writes with me. if i could tag every single person i have on this blog, i would but that’d take ages. so i’ll just give some special shoutouts !

i love spoilers too but there’s certain movies that deserve to be “spoiler” free as much as possible. there’s a particular moment that made everyone cheer and gasp with excitement. it’s amazing!
