SPICY hot take but I’ll take a BioWare rpg over a Larian rpg any day of the week.

Fallout In-Game Comparisons: Maximilian “Maxie” Tanaka (née Stark)
So I already did a comparison for Angel with his FO4 vs FO76 iterations. Now it’s time for Maxie. And... I have 4 comparisons to make here.
Top is his in-game appearance in Fallout 3. Not perfect but  given that the facial sculpting in FO3 isn’t the best, not too bad.
Second is his appearance in Fallout: New Vegas. Similiar to how he is in FO3 although the hair mod I converted across (the same one as for the hair in his FO3 screencap) isn’t totally perfect. But workable.
Third is his appearance in Fallout 4. Definitely the closest to how I envisioned him to be and of course, lots of mods there too XD
Finally, his appearance in Fallout 76. This is a non-canon appearance for him (since at the time of FO76 he’s still frozen in Vault 198 but heck it) but given that I only had the vanilla options to play around withm not too bad. Not perfect but reasonably close.
All in all I’d say the later games are truer to how I imagine Maxie would appear in terms of facial structure etc., although he is still a human-Deathclaw hybrid so his FO4 appearance is closest with the additions. But still reasonably close.

Fallout Week 2017
Day Five, July 19th - Old or New?
Old games vs New ones - Sadly I haven't been able to play the old games yet.  :(
As for opinions on character ages:
Courier - Old. I love the option to age the character and think it makes more sense for them to be older anyway. LW - starting out young, but maturing quickly and taking many years to complete everything Fo3 has to offer. Maccready - Why does he look 40 when he's actually like 20? Same for Maxson. Maxson - was nicer as a kid Cait - Older. Butch - I’m glad he’s not such a snot-nosed brat anymore, and I bet he gets even cooler as he learns more about life outside the Vault. Star Paladin Cross - I bet she was so cute and proper and badass growing up and fighting her way up the Brotherhood ranks. Was she friends with Sara Lyons? Shaun - Younger. It's so weird calling him "Father." Ew.
Old World Blues - GOOD. As far as New Vegas goes, this was an excellent DLC for many reasons (even though I started it at too low a level and wouldn't have made it to the end without help from my friend): 1) It's not orange. 2.) Love a good cyborg story. Not only do you get to talk to robot-brains and fight cyber dogs, you yourself get your own internal body parts replaced by machinery! 3.) Looks like space, feels like space. 4) Sick weapons.
New Vegas - Sigh. I have a love/hate relationship with Fallout New Vegas. I tend to give it a hard time. It's not a bad game! It's not. But: it doesn't visually captivate me as the others do, I'm unimpressed by the changes in gameplay from 3, and the story, while arguably much deeper, is less inspiring. I don't hate the game, (even when I say I do). I'd just probably rather play something else. That being said, I love it as a Fallout game. I sing my New Vegas playlists all the time, I'm saving up caps and cards for my own real-life game of Caravan, and I'm planning a FNV tattoo.
