Daniels post race interview is breaking my heart. It’s difficult to see this after the rumors. It makes it real to me.

It’s tragic to lose such a personality on the grid. If this is his last race I’ll be shocked. Especially after the statement at the start of summer break saying no changes to drivers seats on either Red Bull team would be made until the end of the season. Would hate for them to go back on their word.

I hope it’s not goodbye and we will see him remain in his seat or join another F1 team.

related to my lrb but i said it like three posts ago. people on here looove to treat spn gifset excerpts as inherently severed from its context. the conversation i just rbed literally includes dean relating this couple's dynamic to his and sam's... but the gifset excerpt doesn't include dean's line about it and so half of the notes somehow made it about dstiel (and extended it to samleen of course)

hey beloveds would any of you be cool with helping me out by sending a 1-2 sentence long ask to the tumblr wip blog this monday? i will tell you what to write, but basically i really need them to bring the option of large text posts with unlimited amount of images back (opposed to current 30 image limit for a post of any kind) OR making old post editor available because i have prepared a guide to bl/gl/ql world for people unfamiliar or relatively new to it. and the guide includes 84 recs with one animated gif poster attached to every show, which can't be post with the tumblr's limit. my previous guide from a few years ago gained 9k notes, and since it worked then i'm hoping to bring more people to our fandoms this way again and introduce them to this alternative instead of limiting themselves to only western queer television. please leave a like on this post if you wouldn't mind sending an ask to tumblr staff and receiving instructions from me on monday

listen. to me. the powerscaling of gw2 vs ffxiv are completely different.

uh spoilers for both of these games below

but at the end of the day gw2's final boss battle (End of Dragons) was won by getting all of your thousands of allies of the past 10 years to fight together on all fronts (with a magic power up mixed in there for you halfway thru the fight), and ffxiv's final boss battle (Endwalker) was won by you taking on the big bad functionally alone but with seven friends (with a Different magic power up mixed in there for you halfway thru That fight)

and these bosses are both, like, entropy given form so im going to say theyre functionally the same in strength.

but. ok. the gw2 fight needs multiple armies of people to win. and the ffxiv fight is won with a handful of adventurers.

not to belittle either game. in gw2 you fight for the world so the world can fight for itself. you are not the sole hero or the Most Important Person, just a fulcrum. in ffxiv you love the world and the world loves you back, granting you its hopes and thus its power. you become its symbol. its beloved. And both games are very good at portraying their ideas. i thoroughly enjoy both perspectives.

that said. it should be obvious. in a one on one fight the wol would absolutely trounce the commander. no amount of eating corpse meat made the commander as strong as 1/8th of their world's combined armies. which, using this metric, is how strong the wol is.

like. im lying in bed after a long day and i may not be making any sense but thosere my thoughts. anyway i guess this doesnt actually matter because they would kiss instead.

“if mike is gay and never actually loved el romantically it would diminish their whole relationship :(” ok but like what do you think they’ve been doing this whole time then? do you think the current dynamic of their relationship is good? the relationship we’ve been shown this whole time is supposed to have some sort of positive romantic meaning?? like what do you think would be diminished if mike is gay? he is already unable to genuinely (ie not under dire external pressure) tell el he loves her. he is unable to be genuinely romantic with her (see Every Single Time they kiss (or almost kiss) and mike looks like he wants to crawl out of his own skin). he can’t even put his arm around her waist to support her!!! like. what would be lost if we were to learn that the feelings between them are actually platonic????
