My interpretations of the full vice list and puzzle ideas under the cut.

What if instead of taking back Max's parts from the Vices, you had to gather them all up and just kinda... squish them back together?

Wrath- (Right hand) Found in the Blister of Tranquility. Same puzzle as in the game, but instead of cutting off his hand, the spork simply knocks Wrath off the ride. He will then decide that Sam is more fun and violent than just randomly shooting at nothing, and join the party.

Sloth- (Tail) Found on the moon. He's immovable, just as he was in game. You have to gather all the other Vices first and bring them up to the moon. The earthquake maker is used to convince him that cuddling up to Sam would be much more comfortable than laying on the lunar rocks.

Gluttony- (Stomach) Found in Bosco's. Instead of simply handing Jimmy over, let him scurry around the store so Gluttony will give chase. Grab the pile of food he was munching on and leave. Gluttony will quickly run out of things to eat and seek out Sam for more snacks.

Greed- (Left hand) Found outside Lefty's. He's using the old tool rental shop to store his ill-gotten gains, and will mention that it's getting pretty packed in there. Donate a few items to Greed, and he'll run out of space. He will then declare your inventory to be his extra storage space, returning the items you donated and joining the party to keep an eye on "his" stuff.

Lust- (Ears) Found gossiping with Sybil. The easiest Vice to obtain. As soon as he sees Sam, he joins the party and flirts constantly.

Pride- (Heart) Found in the Desoto. He considers himself a superhero of sorts, and thinks of Sam as his sidekick and chauffeur. You'll have to go through a dialogue tree and pick out all the most pathetic options to convince Pride that you need his help solving this case.

Envy- (Left eye) Found in the office, eavesdropping on Flint Paper. Flint is the better detective, so Envy is completely focused on him. To get Envy to start creepily following Sam around instead, you need to call Flint on the office phone and get him to either sing your praises or reveal that he's messed up a case before.

The format I ended up with is my second attempt, that’s why you can see me importing sketches and whatnot. I knew what I wanted to do, I just had to work at the composition a bit. I don’t think this really needs explaining, but, to save on time, I briefly traced some images I found on Pinterest to make the painting process easier. Even then, I still spent 10+ hours on this, the original speedpaint is around 9 minutes long, so I saved it as a 30 second clip to save everyone from boredom lmao

I enjoyed designing a pastel goth Max and also felt so proud of the max that I drew that I created a separate version of just normal Max.

Hello everyone! New fic time! This is for @artfartt for the @samandmaxsecretsanta event! I had a lot of fun writing this and I hope you enjoy reading it!

In this fic (angst again btw, i cannot write a happy sam and max fic it seems), Max struggles through the years with his feelings towards Sam, and how he never tells him about those feelings. Think of this as an au where they're not a couple their whole lives.

Song title is from Fernando by ABBA! I was gonna use like Aortic Desecration but that really doesn't fit. As much as I would like it too.

Happy Fall, guyz!!

It's August!! And this is my piece for the @samandmaxsecretsanta !! This gift is for @impostorwhipplesshow !! Hope you like it, pal! I had fun making it :D!

Long ramble about my process and piece below the cut!

I couldn't really think of anything that involved Sam and Max shenanigans much, so I was a bit stressed... However, I remembered Max being in a dress was an option, so I decided to go with the Hit the Road look! Made the background, got 'em in the outfits, y'know, the silly stuff...

The sketch was pretty fun to think of!! (Excuse the faces, I only got references for the clothes at the time, not the characters themselves) Though, pardon my inaccuracies with the dress, I don't draw poofy, fluffy clothes much. No better time than the present to practice! You can see how I changed the eyes from the sketch to their cartoon look, I just wanted to do the eyes...

Grabbed a couple of references and began arting, but I got stuck on what to draw specifically. I definitely wanted to include Sam, but wasn't sure how exactly I'd include him, since I was more focused on Max and his dress. I found myself staring at Sam's hat for his groom outfit, and inspo slapped me so hard I think I woulda fell outta my chair if it was tangible!! Magician trick heehoo... Classic bunny outta the hat! Max probably could fit in there if he wanted to anyways, and I thought it was pretty funny.

The last thing I worked on was what they would say. I didn't know whether to make it a pun or not but I didn't think Max would be into the lame puns I thought of at first LMAO, but I think it worked out in the end! Overall a fun experience, and I had a great first time in participating in something like this! Would do again, definitely 💞

Howdy folks! Welcome to a very unofficial Sam and Max Secret Santa event. Sign ups are open until July 16!

SO, what is a Secret Santa? 

A gift exchange where the gift givers/receivers are randomized in a big ol art exchange! Art, of course, includes fanart, fics, whatever else you can dream up of. Any creative endeavor is welcome! Please put your best effort into it and make the best gift you can for the person you’re gifting. 

Rules:

1. Don’t disclose who you are to the person you’re gifting before the assigned date, it kinda takes the “secret” out of Secret Santa. If you need to contact your recipient in any way, message me and I’ll happily pass it along!

2. Please respect the deadline and if you need an extension let me know! I understand artfight is happening for the duration of July (i’m participating myself lol hmu @gumshoegoat) which is why the final deadline is at the end of August.  If you need to drop out, please also communicate this to me so I can fill in. 

3. PLEASE NO NSFW. As much as I’d love to start a porn ring with y'all, I don’t feel like checking IDs for this and I’m not in the business of sending smut to minors.
