also not to make it obvious that insofar as love languages are a thing one of my primary ones is quality time (and sharing an experience together), but as I was making some silly, low-effort list of my top five to ten favorite video games, I realized: Sam and Max, Portal 2, Dishonored, VTMB, those are all games I played with my sister

it's the time together as much as it is the games really (though they're all absolute bangers of games)

(and then the other entries are ones I've experienced with my brother or with my friends so YKNOW I just love video games and my loved ones 😭)

if we ever got a vtmb remake/just sum kinda dream vtmb3 ig??:

longer main quest. not like LOADS longer, but just a few more things.

maybe conch reversal but i think more things involving the day. generally more danger would be good, it’d feel more immersive and shit.

umm less weird as hell anti east asian racism, and less antiblackness. both of those just felt frustrating.

i’m a whore so romance (not full ones, but just more flirting in general, stronger relationships that matter with characters)

the game already had a lot of clan specific dialogue (esp for malkavian and nossies) but i’d love even more clan specific stuff. certain quests and routes are only open to certain clans. each clan should have their local leader(s) at least, and a couple members. each clan could have a secondary main quest that you play alongside the main quest. if you finish it before you finish the main game, that could open up new options for the end.

endgame content. once u finish the main game there’s basically nothing to do, beyond maybe finish up some side quests

the rest of the clans from the game as playable clans. or hell, just more acknowledgement of the rest of the clans. tzimisce obviously wouldn’t make much sense given the story, but i’d like more of them in the game.

MORE stuff about the history of vampires. pls i wanna talk about the bahari i luv lilith.

i’m fine with the game being primarily in first person, but maybe light character customisation. just like, pick a skin tone, a hair style and colour, maybe a build type. most of the third person animations don’t show the face very well so! also more clothing with more variation and stat related things.

if there ever was a remake, official or fanmade, i’d be worried about the overwhelming late 90s/early 2000s influence being pushed away. pls lean into it as much as humanly possible.

the player character’s a missing person, something that’s only touched on once. as far as anyone knows, they were at a party and no one ever saw them again. join that with the sam encounter, there’s all sorts of possibilities. a mention of the case on the news, maybe sam could briefly appear on the radio asking anyone with any information to come forward.

i’d also like to know more about the sire. why’d they turn the player? have they been turning other random strangers? or were they specifically trying to turn THIS person. and why

better combat ig.
