Emma felt relieved at the fact her interest didn't make him uncomfortable "let's see, 5 bird skulls and 3 of the small mammals. 2 of the birds and mammals I bought and the rest I found. Well, technically the 3rd mammal my friend found. Her parents had a cat before she was born and it died when she was young. They buried it in the backyard, but years later they were having something done to yard that required them to dig up some land and they found the skeleton. They were gonna throw it away but my friend asked me if I wanted it, although the only bones that were salvigable was the skull and ribcage."

“He didn’t kill anything, only stuffed them. If I remember correctly, his family was into hunting and they’d give him some of their kills. He actually told me he didn’t like killing things, and he only had so much because he collected it over the years.” She stiffened a little at his last question. People usually were freaked out when she talked about her interests, at best. “Um, well… I like skeletons, actually. I have a few bird skulls and some of small mammals, a deer skull too. I know it’s weird. I’ve just always liked the look of them.”

Pluto nodded as he listened, feeling a twinge of guilt for what he said. “Oh, well, that’s good to know.” Taking in a breath, he raised his cup to take a sip, brows raising as she continued. “Skeletons?” He smiled as he put his cup back down. “Well, that’s pretty cool. I used to have a gator skull. My sister and I found it when we were five, carried it home together. My mom flipped but she let us keep it after a few hours of begging. My sister put string lights in it and we used it as a night light.” He smiled at the memory though there was a hint of sorrow to it as he thought of his mother. “How many do you have? Did you find them or buy them?”
