Continuation of my attempt to create a tierlist for every color scheme, here is the Orange/Black tierlist, which also includes Orange/Purple and Orange/Blue pairings due to the amount of overlap I was seeing in the color schemes. I was a lot more lenient here than the Red/Blue one on what counts as I figured there would be less, though I ended up with a lot more than I thought.

Barbara Baldavin (October 18, 1938 – March 31, 2024) Television and film actress.

Baldavin mainly performed in dramatic roles. In the late 1960s, she played a small recurring part in Star Trek as Angela Martine, in season 1 episodes "Balance of Terror" and "Shore Leave". Baldavin appeared in the series finale, "Turnabout Intruder", as Lt. Lisa, a communications officer and court reporter.

In a season 1 episode of Adam 12, Baldavin played Betty Wells, the wife of Officer Ed Wells (Gary Crosby); in a season 2 episode, she played Sally Fisher, a nurse and girlfriend of Pete Malloy (Martin Milner). In the 1970s, Baldavin was a regular cast member in Medical Center as Nurse Holmby. In 1971, she appeared in a season 5 episode of Mannix, "To Save a Dead Man", as Mrs Kilgore.

Baldavin went on to become a casting assistant, and then the casting director, for Trapper John, M.D. and Dynasty. In September 2010, she was shown as a member of the faculty at Dawn Wells' Film Actor's Boot Camp.

Other TV series she appeared in were Rawhide, The Fugitive, Felony Squad, Columbo, McMillan & Wife, Baretta, Barnaby Jones, Quincy M.E. and Vega$. (Wikipedia)

One of the weaker entries in the series.

A disgruntled mobster has apparently put out a hit on the Commissioner, and an innocent woman is shot/killed while talking to him. Of course, after an array of suspects connected to her has been established, we know that she was the real target all along. But it takes our heroes a very long time to deduce this. Even though Mac doubted the hit rumours at the very start.

The identity of the villain does come as a surprise. That’s something.

Henry Darrow’s French accent is terrible. Love Darrow, but this is painful to listen to. Why didn’t they just cast a French actor?!

Usually, you can depend on the four regulars to raise a chuckle/laugh. But not here. All the light comedy between them falls flat, for some reason. In fact, the banter between Mac and Mildred seems unusually mean-spirited. Even he and Sally seem to be lacking their usual spark. It’s an odd, out-of-sorts episode.

Plot Summary:
