Day 4: Persian Studying

Listening

SaliTalk Ep2: 25mins. Understood bits. I think she went on a rant about men in power controlling women for this and that and now they tryna regulate [open] kitchens? not sure. Could’ve completely misunderstood  BBC Persian TV: 25mins. Bg noise for my workout. Too fast for me to understand but didn’t really have the energy to focus on much today anyways 

Writing

Assignment: 10-15mins. Edited my assignment before sending it this morning. Not sure if I made it better or worse lol 

Studying

Mango languages: 20mins. Reviewed vocab and built longer, compound sentences.  Easy Persian L35: 30mins. Learned to form questions in present progressive. Learned new vocab words (شغل، کسی، گم کردن، عوض کردن، هیچکس). Did the drills.

دو دیدگاه یکی به نگاهی رسیده که اسپیکرش و بده و کمانچه یا سنتور بگیره دیگری کمانچه ای داره که دوست داره معاوضه کنه با تفنگ بادی خیلی عجیب بود خیلی چه اتفاقی میافته زمانی که کسی دنبال سازی به نام کمانچه میره و بدون شک میدونه راهی طولانی داره و همین که شروع میکنه بدون شک دید خوبی داشته به موسیقی و همین طور موسیقی ایرانی اما چرا باید اینقدر در نگاه و علاقه ش تغییر ایجاد بشه که ��ا تفنگ بادی معاوضه کنه خیلی اتفاق خوبی نیست و شک ندارم این نگاه ها بسیار بسیار زیاد در جامعه هست و در خیلی هنر ها و کارهای دیگه تغییر اینگونه در دیدگاه آدم ها باید زنگ خطری باشه برای جامعه و شرایط آموزشی و فرهنگی ما، چرا باید افراد یه جامعه وقتی دنبال هدفی میرن در اواسط راه تغییر دیدگاه بدهند؟ خدا به داد نسل های بعد برسه... #کمانچه #موسیقی #تفنگ #تفنگ_بادی #اسپیکر #موسیقی_ایرانی #حمیدضاآفریده #kamancheh #موسیقی_سنتی #دیدگاه #فقر #سالی_تاک #salitalk #فرهنگ #فقر_فرهنگی (at Iran)

Day 26: Learning Persian

Listening

SaliTalk: 25min. I listened to her mostly as background tonight.

Session: My tutor has been consistent with using mostly Farsi throughout the session. I'm still comfortable with her routine questions and any questions that she asks that I can also read. I've been able to get the gist of her anecdotes but it does take me some time to fully comprehend what she's trying to say. I sometimes translate out loud to make sure I understood her.

Speaking

Session: I'm a lot more comfortable speaking but I think it's also taking away from my accuracy. Not that I was super accurate to begin with. But today I noticed errors and hesitation with structures that I should technically have nailed by now. It also does still take me a while to get a full single thought out. My tutor is so freaking patient idk how she does it.

Studying

Mango languages: 25mins. More subjunctive expressions and some vocab.

Anki: 15mins. Reviewed week3 deck.
