TASK 001: MOODBOARD

DAVID JAMES “DEACON” HALL.

001 . what is your muse’s fighting style? are they a fighter? what does their fight or flight response look like? 

considering he’s a soldier, i’d say he is indeed a fighter. deacon never had to really worry about that before. but after his parents died, he had issue of acting out. he was always quick to fight first. when he got older and enlisted, he realised what he was doing and is definitely better at trying to calm a situation before it gets out of hand. though, he still has moments of letting his emotions get the better of him.

002 . does your muse like music? do they have a favourite artist? a comfort song/genre? 

deacon is a fan of music, he loves that there is a song or genre for any and every situation. he might not know it as much as others, but definitely loves listening to it and hearing new songs. he will ALWAYS take music suggestions. and even if the genre isn’t for him, he’ll listen to new songs from it. as for his favourite artist, it’s DEFINITELY his brother. he’d listen to his brother’s music all the time during his time oversea’s, he was one of the only few things that brought him comfort. i wouldn’t say he has a comfort song/genre, it really just depends on his mood.  

003 . what is your muse’s patronus? what animal represents your muse?

definitely a tiger. the meaning for the tiger is said to be willpower, courage, and personal strength. despite how he feels about himself, despite everything he’s gone through... deacon fights through the darkness and does his very best to stay strong for himself and anyone else in need of his strength. 

GIF ONE:     this is pretty simple. deacon has lost so much in his life –- his parents, his first serious girlfriend, his closeness with his brother, all his friends he served with. . . he feels like he’s constantly losing people and he’s tired. he’d give anything to go back and just have all these people he cared about back. he’d trade places with those who have lost their lives in a heartbeat. 

GIF TWO:     he blames himself for the death of his first serious girlfriend. it didn’t matter that he hadn’t known what was happening, it happened because of him and he’ll NEVER forgive himself for it. the idea of someone else being hurt by him or for him isn’t something he wants.

GIF THREE:     this one is both him being honest AND lying at the same time. so much has happened to him but he’s survived it. he put on a brave face and is always ready to face what’s next. but with it all, he’s broken. even if no one see’s it. even if he’s so good at hiding it that he manages to fool himself. he’s not as okay as he pretends to be. 

GIF FOUR:     everyone has moments where they let the darkness win, even if just short moments that pass by as quickly as they came. this gif shows that deacon is not the exception to this. this is him calling out to how completely alone he feels.

GIF FIVE:     obviously this is just deacon ( his face claim of oliver stark ). but it also shows deacon pretty well. shows how tired and broken he is but shows how he’s willing to hide it around people. just when they turn away does he let his mask fall.

GIF SIX:     he’s very charming and flirty. usually he means nothing by it, it’s just who he is. part of it is from what he is, another part is just him having his mask up... as if he believe people won’t look harder cause he’s just “that guy”.

GIF SEVEN:      he told himself he was done fighting wars. after all he witnessed, after all he’s lost... he told himself it was no longer his problem. but the thing is, deacon doesn’t know how to stop. doesn’t know how to not help people in need.

GIF EIGHT:     because of what he is, deacon see’s himself as a monster. he’s literally half demon and that thought always hits him pretty hard. so everything he does is to prove to himself he isn’t a bad guy. that he isn’t meant to hurt people, that he CAN do good.

GIF NINE:     despite all his issue, deacon would never hesitate to drop everything for someone in need. even if he feels like they wouldn’t do the same for him. which isn’t healthy, no, but this is just another one of his many issues he has that is masked by good intentions.

abel hasn’t ever really had to fight for anything in his life, but he’s been given incredible power by lucifer. he trained under the fallen archangel and used his wyvern abilities to torture souls in hell during his free time. when he came to the surface, he demolished foes with his superior physical prowess and his fire abilities disguised as explosions. he never actually was forced to fight for anything, though. he’s incredibly aggressive and will definitely FIGHT before FLYING because he’s always incredibly cocky about his chances of victory. 

002 . does your muse like music? do they have a favorite artist? a comfort song/genre?

abel is, afterall... a demon. he tends to listen to really obscure music, usually strange horror soundtracks that include sounds simulating suffering humans. he also really enjoys OST and orchestral compilations from many horror and classic movies. he doesn’t have a comfort music, though. not anything specific, at least. 

003 . what is your muse’s patronus? i know, i know, we hate jkr. however, i love the idea of having an animal that signifies your essence. what animal represents your muse?

according to actual lore, abel is not pure of heart, and would be unable to summon a patronus. according to ME, i think he would have the stag patronus. he is more realistically a slytherin, but he is an aries and definitely resonates with the description.

gif oo1 :: there’s really no beating around the bush from and about this guy. he is not even close to a decent person, a dirtbag. if he doesn’t want someone around, he makes it incredibly clear.

gif oo2 :: there’s no situation adrian will ever take seriously. he doesn’t have the same concerns that mortals and people with morals do. his priorities are his own entertainment and pleasure, so he often treats situations with incredible sarcasm.

gif oo3 :: abel often makes it his mission to annoy at least one person a day. it isn’t a habit, but he’ll do it when he feels like a laugh. he can pester someone for hours if given the chance. along with this, the gif also shows his own arrogance. his banter will often involve self-flattering quips.

gif oo4 :: never expect this demon to accept responsibility for any of his actions. i’m not saying he’s irredeemable, but again, he has very different priorities than someone actually from the surface. he figures his identity above doesn’t matter, and he could always go to drastic measures to assume a new life elsewhere if his actions ever warranted leaving. 

gif oo5 :: the description for this gif is really similar to the one above. he’s a carefree guy. and also this is just his face.

gif oo6 :: stepping over a line and respecting boundaries aren’t of any matter to adrian. he would say something like this to a complete stranger, especially when trying to get on someone’s nerves. this is also one way he’d react to someone being angry with him.

gif oo7 :: shame, shame, you do NOT know this demon’s name. most of the gifs on this moodboard all point back to the fact that nothing really matters to him. he just lives for chaos. 

gif oo8 :: this side hasn’t ever really been seen by anyone- he internalizes a lot of his emotions, so it would take a lot for him to get this angry, in turn losing control of his powers to some extent, normally minimally. when he’s angry, he has extremely little patience for excuse or explanation. he might do this if he were to ever be extremely angry with someone he knows he can’t harm (for whatever reason). normally, he’d just kill whoever pissed him off this badly.

SERAPHINA MARIE BLACKWELL.

001 . what is your muse’s fighting style? are they a fighter? what does their fight or flight response look like?

when it comes to a fight or flight response, sera will always fight. it’s all she’s known her whole life. she had to fight to defend herself, fight to eat, fight to survive. . . she doesn’t know how to stop fighting. even if her reason for fighting has changed, she still fights. not even just with her magic. just cause she has magic, doesn’t mean she doesn’t get her hands dirty. 

002 . does your muse like music? do they have a favourite artist? a comfort song/genre?

sera likes to listen to music, mainly cause she hates the quiet. i wouldn’t say she has a favourite artist or genre. just whatever’s on the radio. she’ll listen to whatever cause for her, it’s just background noise. to keep her from losing herself in her thoughts.

003 . what is your muse’s patronus? what animal represents your muse?

easy, it’s a wolf. “those who wield a wolf patronus will protect friends and family with a feirce passion. while first impressions can lead one to believe the wolf patronus belongs to a strong silent type, they also have a playful side underneath. however, this is only displayed towards trusted individuals.” if that doesn’t sum up sera i don’t know what does. plus, the woman literally surrounds herself with wolves, of course she feels most connected to a wolf. 

GIF ONE:     one think about sera (and her ability) is that she’s very cocky at times. can you blame her though? everything she knows about magic, she learned herself. she’s an extremely powerful witch who had to go at it alone for so long. she may know that she’s not a good person, but she also knows her worth and what she’s capable of. 

GIF TWO:     she know’s she not a good person. so while she can make her jokes and be super sarcastic about it all... she does know and doesn’t really try to hide it. she is who she is. 

GIF THREE:     sera has done some terrible things. in her eyes there is no redeeming it... but when it come to protecting those she cares about, she wouldn’t hesitate on doing worse things. there isn’t a line she wouldn’t cross in order to protect and save the one’s she loves.

GIF FOUR:    sera doesn’t allow people to get close to her. the few that do are rare. she can’t help it. it’s easier to keep people at a distance. to her, they’ll either let you down or leave in the worst way possible.

GIF FIVE:     as always, the fifth gif just shows the face claim of my muse. ( kat mcnamara ) this is probably just a side of her that only noah really see’s. y’know, the cute/flirty side.

GIF SIX:     she’s always been a bit of a rebel. whenever someone tell her she can’t do something, she has to go against it. either to prove them wrong or to prove she can. she’s always had an issue with rules, i imagine it came from her time in and out of ( horrible ) foster houses. 

GIF SEVEN:    seraphina is probably the last person to admit when she needs help. she’s very stubborn and would likely allow her physical (or even emotional) state to get worse before asking for help. only someone she really REALLY trust would be able to help her.

GIF EIGHT:     this shows how little trust she has in people, especially how unlikely she is to trust new people. in her eyes, everyone wants something –- no one does anything out of the kindness of their heart. the woman definitely has trust issues, but she’s working on it. 

GIF NINE:    before getting in with the salem wolf pack, seraphina was alone. she was used to being alone. the witch could only rely on herself to protect herself. even before she was adopted, she had to take care of herself.

KATERINA JADE HENRY.

001 . what is your muse’s fighting style? are they a fighter? what does their fight or flight response look like? 

she doesn’t have one, katerina isn’t a fighter. she wishes she could be, but she doesn’t know what she’s doing. though she’s tired of feeling weak and helpless. so she’s definitely started taking classes on how to protect herself, not that it’ll do her any good against other supernaturals. 

002 . does your muse like music? do they have a favourite artist? a comfort song/genre?

katerina loves music, always has, always will. it was always something she found peace in and when she started coming into her banshee abilities, it became more of a necessity. the music helped drown out the voices. it didn’t always work, but she’d take whatever she could get. as for her favourite artist, it changes but she feels like you can’t go wrong with halsey. her comfort song is with a little help from my friends by the beatles. 

003 . what is your muse’s patronus? what animal represents your muse?

a great grey owl. “ the great grey owl patronus is cast by strong spirits who know who they are.  even with a strong personality, they are capable of incredible social mimicry. this means they are capable of adapting many different personality traits. this isn’t necessarily to please others and fit in, it just allows them to socialise easier. they are charismatic and friendly, but this doesn’t always mean they are extroverted. these [ people ] are very bold. they will stand strong for what they believe in or for those they love and are very fierce protectors. it can come across as a shock seeing as how they normally camouflage their personalities in social settings. they will quickly abandon the act to defend their beliefs. ”    kat wouldn’t always agree with this, but if you look past the walls she put up, one would easily see that she is (or was) this person. she is lost now on who she is, but at the end of it, she still that person that knows how to adapt. who will break out of her shell she put herself in to stand up for what is right.

GIF ONE:     in this gif, this is more her reaction to first learning what she was. she didn’t handle it very well. she was shocked and then in denial and then felt guilt cause she protected someone she cared about’s death and couldn’t do anything. hearing voices and signs of death? that could make anyone go a little crazy. of course she was upset knowing it’d just keep happening.

GIF TWO:    this one is both about where she at with her abilities AND where she at after all the lost she’s faced in her life. she’s not better, she’s not okay... she’s still just hurt. understanding everything hasn’t helped. in fact it’s just added more guilt to her. 

GIF THREE:     after everything, she’s afraid to hope for the best in things. she afraid that it’ll just hurt more when things don’t go as planned. she used to be someone who was so full of hope, but now she just doesn’t know how to be. 

GIF FOUR:    kat refuses to run away anymore. she wants to be strong and do better. but every now and again she needs moments to herself. to process everything and just deal with it all. she might be broken and weak (in her own eyes) but she’ll never be so much so that she runs away again. 

GIF FIVE:     this one is just kat (fc: danielle rose russell) and it shows her looking a little tired and upset. . . which since she lost her boyfriend is exactly how she’s been feeling.

GIF SIX:     getting little to no sleep isn’t knew to her. the voices, they keep her up. she can’t always understand them and those are the worst night for her. cause she’s trying to. she’s trying so hard to learn and understand. then their are the night she does understand but the voices are just too loud and she can’t do anything. it’s too overwhelming. 

GIF SEVEN:     this shows how she tries to smile and put on a brave face though her pain/issue. kat struggled when coming to term with what she is... but she never shied away. she has much to learn still but she’s coping.  she has to, she refuses to let her lack of knowledge cost like it did before.  

GIF EIGHT:     she feel very alone. her father was a drunk who never cared, her mother died in childbirth, her older brother  (TW)  killed him, and her boyfriend was killed protecting her.. none of her old friends talk to her. so while she’s made a couple of friends since moving to salem, she still feels like no one would miss her. 

GIF NINE:    this one is a no brainer for kat. the girl is clearly big into music and is often writing it or listening to it. she has an endless amount of playlists made for everything. in fact, she’s 100% the type to make someone a mix tape/cd as a gift. to her, it means more.

REYNA DE LA CRUZ.

001 . what is your muse’s fighting style? are they a fighter? what does their fight or flight response look like?

it might surprise people who don’t know her very well. they take one look at her and just see a small girl and they underestimate her. but if you look long enough, you’ll see the fire in her. and she doesn’t fight fair either. 

002 . does your muse like music? do they have a favourite artist? a comfort song/genre?

reyna loves music. she does listen to a little bit of everything. her favourites being something she can dance to. something that makes her have fun and feel alive. latin music is at the top of her list, but again, she open to listening to just about everything. it’s always fun for her to discover what else she likes.

003 . what is your muse’s patronus? what animal represents your muse?

i had to actually take a test for this one and reyna got a stag. “a stag is the symbol of leadership, courage, and strength. but it is a kind animal within. that is what makes it special.” this is actually very fitting for reyna. she is brave and strong, maybe sometimes too much so that it can intimidate others, but if you look past those traits, she is very kind and caring. and taking a leadership role is very easy for her... just like her namesake, this queen knows how to lead when needed.

GIF ONE:     this woman has no shame and why should she?! she’s beautiful and strong and powerful and talented ;)  why have shame in that!? she’s very flirty too. reyna is just living her best life. 

GIF TWO:     honestly, she just needs someone who could keep up with her and this gif is her showing that she doesn’t truly believe anyone can. she lives for her freedom and loves having fun. she isn’t ready to give that up just yet. (maybe with a certain someone, but that’ll be later)

GIF THREE:     rules were made to be broken. at least in reyna’s eyes. life’s more fun that way. plus, she is a demon after all. what’s a demon without a little chaos, right... she likes to have fun and be excited. 

GIF FOUR:     this one seem a little obvious. reyna does what she wants, acts how she wants, talks how she want, dresses how she wants.... and she does it all for her. she doesn’t do it for other people. she is who is and and she won’t ever apologise for it. she knows her own worth and doesn’t need someone else’s opinion.

GIF FIVE:     becky g is and will always be the only face for reyna de la cruz. she might be small and beautiful, but she def has some BDE. and this gif lowkey shows it. she that pretty girl while also looking tough AND showing that she doesn’t care what other people have to say. a true goddess, really.

GIF SIX:     reyna is 100% that queen that always tries to remind people ( especially other women ) of their worth. you’ll never see her trying to bring other women down. she refuses to let anyone think little of themselves. especially if it comes from someone else opinion. so if she see’s someone down on themselves due to someone’s opinion or actions, she will be the first to remind them that they owe no apologies to anyone and to just be their self.  

GIF SEVEN:      this is a little bit of her attitude when she was taken and held by that group. it was her way of staying strong and taking away their power. cause even if it broke her, she never let them know. not until right before she went back and got her revenge. reyna will never let ANYONE have the satisfaction of knowing they hurt her.

GIF EIGHT:     after all she had to go through, after all she was forced to do... when she finally got out of that situation, reyna made sure to never let anyone have any type of power over her. she’s in complete control and anyone who tries to take that from her doesn’t normally survive. she’ll never let herself be used again.

GIF NINE:     reyna refuses to allow the bad shit she went through break her. she refuses to let those people win. she is who is she is because of all she went through. she’s a firm believer of that. her strength and power came from everything she’s been through. all the good and bad combined and made her the goddess she is.

TASK 001: MOODBOARD

RHYS BALIAN KILIÇ.

001 . what is your muse’s fighting style? are they a fighter? what does their fight or flight response look like?

rhys is indeed a fighter. it’s how he was raised, he’s a protector by nature. his fighting style is very close to that of someone who’s been in the military. he grew up learning muay thai and a mix of other fighting styles and has mixed them together. when it comes to fight or flight, rhys fights. but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know when to walk away. usually this comes when he believes the person isn’t worth the time.

002 . does your muse like music? do they have a favourite artist? a comfort song/genre?

he doesn’t dislike music, but also isn’t big on music either. there is some music he does dislikes, but for the most part, he’s just listening to whatever’s on. he actually just listens to whatever playlist his friend makes for him. he get a new playlist every month or two. he probably couldn’t tell you who or what he’s listening to.

003 . what is your muse’s patronus? what animal represents your muse?

like the animal he’s able to shift into, rhys’ patronus is a panther. “the panther is associated with highly artistic and intuitive people. sometimes their aggressive nature tends to get the best of them. panther people are also capable of having lots of power, but they are often solitary people.” this is all very fitting for rhys. if you take the time to get to know him, you’d agree.

GIF ONE:    rhys is very much the “no bullshit” type of person. he doesn’t like to have his time wasted and will call someone out on it if he sense that happening. 100% the “lets get to the point”. due to that, he’s pretty blunt himself. don’t expect him to hold back.

GIF TWO:     he’s lost so much and definitely blames himself. his entire family... it happened cause he wasn’t there. cause he was careless. so he has a lot of guilt racked up. but this isn’t something he just shares with people. it’s a side of him maybe one or two people see. 

GIF THREE:     again, this goes with the guilt he feels. the darkness in his life. it’s been there so long... if someone tried to convince him it wasn’t his fault, he wouldn’t even know who he’d be without that guilt. he’s been living with it for so long.

GIF FOUR:   while rhys can be a little closed off, he’s still very protective. once he lets people in, his first and only concern is their well-being. he will always stop everything to check up on someone he cares about.

GIF FIVE:     of course, gif number five is always just a gif of the faceclaim of the character.. alperen duymaz is rhys’ new face. his old face is actually seen in gif four and six ( i felt i had to include it ).  now while this gif is just meant to be his faceclaim... it also happens to show of a bit of rhys’ cocky side. though, only his close friends see this side of him.

GIF SIX:    this goes along with gif four, to show his protective side. when in this protective mode, rhys will go all out and ALWAYS keeps his word. making a promise/vow to someone isn’t something he takes lightly.

GIF SEVEN:     it might take him time to trust someone, to feel comfortable around them... but once he does–-- he is loyal. he’ll have your back no matter what. rhys will fight and die for those he cares about. there is never any doubt of him having your back once you’ve earned his loyalty. 

GIF EIGHT:      he’s also a bit too stubborn. rhys was raised to be the one to protect people so he’s not great at asking for help cause it’s “meant to be his job”. plus, he’s just so used to offering help rather than being offered help that the few times someone does offer, he turns it down.

GIF NINE:      this shows that while he might, sometimes, be tired of fighting... it’s what he does. it’s what he’s good at. he knows that he’ll most likely never been able to stop fighting. it very well might just be all he is.

a much younger, high-school james could be found scrapping it out with men much older than him at bars all around salem. he was never known as a well behaved kid and wound up in the city jail more times than his parents would have ever known if it weren’t for james’ also much older friends. the boy was a fighter. not because of a temper, but simply out of pure boredom. now, he’d rather fly than fight if he’s given the chance. when it comes to himself, he’s never been a fighter (even in his glory days). so if he’s found in danger and he’s on his own, he’ll find the quickest way out. HOWEVER, when it comest other people, especially those he cares about, watch out for the claws. his parents trained him in combat and he picked it all up quickly (hence, high school fights yaaayy). whether emotionally or physically, he will always fight for those who are weaker than him, and those close to his heart. 

002 . does your muse like music? do they have a favorite artist? a comfort song/genre?

does he like music? well it kinda ran his life for about...33 years. his own personal style has been influenced by artists like johnny cash, bob dylan, capital cities, and other indie and classic rock musicians. his favorite is probably johnny cash, because it reminds him of nights at home with his parents. 

003 . what is your muse’s patronus? i know, i know, we hate jkr. however, i love the idea of having an animal that signifies your essence. what animal represents your muse?

james’ patronus is the bat, as described here. he can be very hard to reach, especially recently, and keeps himself to a small circle of friends that he’s had for years. 

gif oo1 :: there are a lot of times where sobriety can be too much to handle. james never lets this side of himself show when other people are in the house, but his panic attacks without the curb of an influence are really hard on him. he often starts feeling like the walls of an incredibly small room (not the one he’s in) start to close in on him. having the lights off and a quiet home help with the anxiety and withdrawal he still experiences, but some days are simply too difficult. 

gif oo2 :: james would often put too much pressure on himself, which is what led to the drug abuse and self-hatred. after working with a few therapists and learning better coping mechanisms, he has learned to be a little more vocal with his emotions- specifically the limits of what he can and can’t handle. he’s still new to it so it isn’t always the most immediately effective delivery , but it’s a big step from never speaking up for himself and hurting behind a grin. 

gif oo3 :: more self-deprecation of course. his mental and social decline has been a slow battle over the years. shortly before he left the hollywood spotlight was when his jovial and energetic persona really started to dissipate, making way for the point between wanting to save face and wanting to fall off the face of the earth. pathetic and sweet. 

gif oo4 :: though he hardly ever fights now, he is more than capable of handling himself against multiple opponents. considering his shift form is much larger than a regular tiger, most of his opponents often tuck their tails and run. james often gives them this option, but more relevant to the gif would be the sarcasm and confidence he always seems to exude during a fight, no matter his mental state.

gif oo6 :: if anyone were to ever actually get any information out of him, it would be a lot like this. not the words specifically, but the energy. the conceding of any redemption or solution. 

gif oo7 :: sobriety is hard when you’ve been under the influence for more than half of your life. james is publicly a year sober. just got his chip. this gif, though, is exactly why he started drinking in the first place. 

gif oo8 :: an answer he would give interviewers if asked what he and his socialite friends got up to at home, after concerts. he was a big presence when he was an active singer and was known to be sarcastic, funny, and an overall welcoming guy.

001 . what is your muse’s fighting style? are they a fighter? what does their fight or flight response look like?

even if it weren’t hardwired into his genes by the curse, noah will always be an instinctive fighter. he took to all of his combat training rather naturally and has a knack for finding resourceful ways out of corners. he relies a lot on his brute strength, it makes things simpler. this combative instinct really kicks into gear when it comes to anyone he cares about. when it comes to himself or material things, he doesn’t really move a muscle- but he will never look away from a chance to defend his family. 

002 . does your muse like music? do they have a favorite artist? a comfort song/genre?

noah listens to a little bit of everything. it’s very rare for him to find a super relatable song, so he mostly uses music for a bit of background noise. he hardly has the time to really appreciate it. when he does, it’s usually when he’s high. he’ll toke up and put his liked library on shuffle, just to meditate and really listen to the music. as for favorites, he doesn’t have any. his comfor genre is probably a myriad of instrumental genres. 

003 . what is your muse’s patronus? i know, i know, we hate jkr. however, i love the idea of having an animal that signifies your essence. what animal represents your muse?

noah’s patronus is a jaguar, as described here. he isn’t ravenclaw, he’s a gryffindor, but the sign aligns with who he is. he can be very stubborn when it comes to himself and prefers to keep his bad moods internalized. 

gif oo1 :: as mentioned above, noah usually ignores any issues that might arise within his own body and psyche. he pushes his problems into a corner, tucked away to be dealt with when they can no longer be ignored. 

gif oo2 :: he’s confident and it can show up a little more obviously sometimes. he knows his worth and can make a show of it on the rare occasion. 

gif oo3 :: food, food, food sure is the way to this man’s heart. he considers himself a chef in the kitchen and can often be found snacking his way through salem’s reserves. he is very indulgent in this aspect, and food is a major love language for him. aside from this, he can also be rather goofy when a moment allows for it. 90% of what he says is a joke.

gif oo4 :: while he may not show it, noah can be stressed out by just about anything if he allows it. he can often get caught in the moment and will be forced to acknowledge the stress he usually ignores- and then it’s usually something silly like his hobbies.

gif oo6 :: again, FOOD. i think noah is a very simple man in the fact that most of his personality can be summarized by his connection to any and all things edible. 

gif oo7 :: as he does with many things in his life, he internalizes his emotions in ways that they show up in other areas of his life. he can turn a small disagreement into a real issue for himself this way. 

gif oo8 :: he likes leaning into humor and often talks to himself or inanimate objects to fill static silence. he loves doing this with pets and his youngest siblings, who can’t talk back yet.
