Night. The moon is almost in the center of the sky and completely silent. Clothes that won't attract too much attention and bags with the most important things. The main - to take the steps as quietly as possible, as unnoticeably as possible. No one should know that someone is gone. At least for the next two hours. That will be enough to escape.

"Are you sure? What about your parents?", Nervous, trembling voice pierced the air and went away in the sound of the sea. Sakujirou fixed the bag strap and tried to see his friend's face.

"Everything is okay, I've talked to them. Yoimiya will take care of them", the second voice heard. It was confident and strict but to Keisuke's surprise a little bit shaky too. A fear. Keisuke feels madly afraid. 

But how could he leave Sakujirou again? Letting him go is equal to death. 

The bags — on the bottom of the boat, they themselves — on the bench. Paddles in hands.

"Why did you do that? I don't deserve it…", the young man almost whispered. "Now you are a criminal too… Don't you regret it?"

Sakujirou's hands tired fastly so they changed their places. 

"And you keep insulting yourself… You deserve more than you have. What about me…"

Now when the sea was around them, the moon had light on their faces. One face full of shame and conscience and the other one… Keisuke was happy.  

"How can i regret if i escaped with someone i love?", he said.

Silence. Thunderclaps heard somewhere in the sea. They have a long way to go to arrive in the Liyue.

The moon shone on their faces. And both of them were happy.

I am alive!!! And I started writing this fic again after a year. For anyone still interested in reading about these two Genshin NPCs who showed up 2 years ago and will never be seen again, I present to you this fic.

Perhaps you’d never thought this day would come, but your insufferable optimism has led me here on the way to Liyue. A lot has happened over the past week or so. I can’t even begin to describe how I feel right now.

I found a companion whom I’ll be traveling with. She is as impossible as you are. In fact, she’s the reason I’m writing this right now. I have absolutely no idea how and why she got this parchment, but it’s apparently become my responsibility to bare my feelings to you. We’re making our way to Yashiori island as I write this. There’s supposedly a few ships there that haven’t left for Liyue yet.

Sakujiro: What's the matter? You're looking around restlessly.

Momiji: No, I was just thinking everyone seems to be in high spirits. It is Summer break tomorrow, huh.

Sakujiro: Indeed. Are you jealous?

Momiji: Ahaha! Just a bit. But there's no time to rest.

Sakujirou: Oh my.

Momiji: I never thought there'd come a day that I become an external club advisor, but-

I hope I can be a teacher who's adored by the kids like you are, Sakujiro-san!

Sakujiro: They are five students in need of observation following their house arrest.

Ночь. Луна почти в зените и полная тишина. Одежда, которая не привлечёт лишнего внимания и сумка с самыми нужными вещами. Главное - ступать по земле как можно тише, как можно незаметнее. Никто не должен заподозрить, что кто-то пропал, по крайней мере в ближайшее время. Чтобы успеть уйти.

— Ты уверен? А как же твои родители? — Неуверенный, дрожащий голос пронзил воздух, рассыпаясь о шум моря. Сакуджиро поправил ремешок на плече и попытался разглядеть лицо друга во тьме.

— Всё нормально, я объяснился с ними… Еимия позаботится о них, — послышался второй голос, уверенный и строгий, в котором, на удивление для его обладателя, тоже чувствовалась дрожь. Страшно. Кейсуке безумно страшно.

Но разве он может оставить Сакуджиро? Отпустить его опять для него что смерть.

Сумки - на дно лодки, а они сами - на скамьи. Весла в руках.

— Зачем ты так поступил? Я этого не заслуживаю… — Почти шептал юноша. — Теперь и ты - преступник. Разве ты не жалеешь об этом?

Предплечья Сакуджиро быстро устали и они поменялись местами.

— Ты продолжаешь себя унижать… Ты заслуживаешь намного больше, чем имеешь. А я…

Теперь, когда вокруг них одно море, Луна освещала их лица. Одно из них было полно стыда и совести, а другое… Кейсуке был счастлив.

— Как же я могу жалеть, если сбежал с тем, кого люблю? — Произнёс он.

Тишина. Вдали слышались раскаты грома. Им предстоял долгий путь до гавани Ли Юэ.

Луна освещала их лица. И оба были счастливыми.

A/N: Anyone play Yoimiya’s story quest and started shipping Sakujirou and Keisuke (the two NPCs in the story)? Because I did. Hard. So now I’m writing this fic of them sending letters to each other after Sakujirou left. Please send help. I need more people to paddle this ship with me.

Also can we officially name this ship Sasuke (Sakujirou x Keisuke) 🤣

On that, we both owe our gratitude to a considerate member of the Crux fleet. He kindly accepted my request to search for you and give you this letter. Sure, it cost an unreasonable amount of mora for them not to report me to the Tenryou commission, but I'm sure you'll be all right with paying for it.

I've paid them off, so you need not worry. Now, I know the last thing you're thinking of: "Why is Keisuke writing and putting all this effort in getting this letter to me?"

I finished the Yoimiya quest finally and I was very disinterested in the whole plot of it until we got some drama between Sakujirou and Keisuke. And you cannot tell me those two weren't gay, you can't, you won't.

what if I come back to my home country to make peace with my former childhood best friend (even though I have to face terrible storms on the sea in a small boat and the country in question is under a dictatorship) and said former childhood best friend is now a cop who’s hunting me for running away in the first place, but the firework girl meddles and we make up on a beach during sunset after fighting each other and we’re both guys? 😳😳😳😳
