I don’t have much tips on writing, in fact, I don’t even know how I got to this point. See, I was just really bored and kinda.. yk.. so I made fanfiction! But here are things that bother me in fanfics, little pet peeves and a few things to generally avoid:

1. Using the same word for the start of each sentence ALL THE TIME. An example of this is: “I don’t want to do that. I feel annoyed when doing that. I hope he doesn’t make me do it.”

The context of this example could be a lengthy thought process. Now, instead of saying “I” all the time, which just keeps on repeating so your whole paragraph is just redundant; try to think of other words, hell, search up “synonyms of ___” the internet exists for a reason, use it to your advantage!

2. Using the same nouns/adjectives/adverbs over and over again. Try to be more creative, again, search up “synonyms of _____” it’s very very helpful.

3. Describe what you’re imagining. NEVER EVER assume that the readers understand the shift of your story if you’re going to jump from one scene to another without a proper transition. It’ll just sound weird if you read it without the context of what’s happening in your imagination. This is especially a problem in setting changes.

My BSD fics are more dark and well thought out than my other fics. Most of my other ones are just shitposts or stuff I think of at 1AM. If you’re writing a full blown fanfic, you can’t just skip scenarios or add random hcs, you need to tell a story you, and your readers would understand within the context given in the story itself.
