What kind of character do you think Asta will be? Currently I think she's probably going to be a royal princess, since we don't know that much about the royal family itself. Castorre did some digging and found that the name of her body armor (Chevalier) has a French military background.

I think I already got a question about this? Most people seem to agree so far that she will be an elf, based on your post.

Totally spot on with the military background. The guardians of Anu Arendel use lances, so I always had the feeling that she was gonna be one them. I’m guessing she is probably a soldier elf, maybe of a high rank, who was deployed to foreigner lands for a mission and shenanigans happened to have her involved in the main plot.

Maybe we have seen an Asta already and we don’t realize it.

However, the French military background (because how it points to a real life location) bit could also imply that she is a human, soldier of the Saint Haven Royal Army. But I have never seen any mention of women in the army neither anyone wielding lances, so I think it’s less likely.

The way the Royal Family works in elf society seem to differ of how we understand it with the human characters. Nerwin is called “The Elf Princess” in both the game and the movie, but we know elves have no family lineages and she was totally not Serensiel’s daughter.

My hypothesis is that “Princess” (or “Prince”) is a title given to those in line to become monarch. The elves who are considered Queen or King candidates have to go through a series of trials known as The Conclave, and the one who triumphs is given the title of Princess/Prince until the day they are crowned Queen/King.

If this is true then technically Triana was the Princess for a day (because Yuvenciel blew it).
