Hello, followers! Here it is our new schedule. For better organization, we have decided to share with you the dates of the next Fests

May - 1st to 7th to send the Package, and 26th as Show Day! August - SPANISH FEST - From July 31st to August 6th to send the Package, and 31st as the Show day! December - 4th to 10th to send the Package and you have all month to post it!

The topics will remain a secret for some suspense~

Furthermore, if you participate in the @cdzladiesfest, have a Halloween and/or Christmas special and you want to share your Fanfics, DO IT! We will be happy to share your work and, if many have done so participating, make a Masterpost for them. Remember the SPANISH FEST will be open for everyone, even if its main targett is Spanish writers.

¡Hola, followers! Aquí está nuestro schedule. Para mejor organización, decidimos compartir con ustedes las siguientes fechas para los Fest.

About what we call “Free Writer“

We all hate booster shots but repetitio est mater studiorum. So here let’s talk a little bit about “free writing“.

Context

This blog regularly offers topics we like to think are interesting to write about, or prompts if you will. Ideally, those inspire writers to pick up their pens or open their favourite word processing program for a few-thousand-words-long one-shot, which we invite all to share on a set date and fangirl to each other about, giving in other words a FEST.

What about the Challenge ?

To make things even more fun, we host a challenge. Most of you know and participate in the challenge, so we will not extend ourselves on it, especially when the main point of this post is just lurking around the corner :

You don’t have to be a part of the challenge to participate in a fest.

So, what is a Free Writer ?

If the topic inspires you on its own, without the additional elements a package offers, you can totally write your story and post it using the tags of the fest ! Heck even tag the blog if you are afraid we will miss it. We ask for said story to follow our rules, but it’s mostly about keeping your work sfw.

Since you write without being tied to a package, we call your participation Free Writing

What’s more !

As a free writer, you are absolutely, well, free to write in the language of your choosing ! Because your story is not tied to a package and consequently another participant, you don’t need to use “universal“ languages to make yourself understood by said person.

We also require participants in the challenges to keep their stories “ship free“ - we do not want this fest to be the ground for a ship war. Also, just like you can write in whichever language you want, as a free writer you are not bound to this rule given you state the “ships” properly.

How about examples ?

There are few, but here check out the work of @regina-del-cielo​ : His Favorite Place in the World, staring Kasa and written in the context of the Nationality fest The Queen’s Revenge, story about Cassiopea Pallas, Columba Antigone and Albiore written for the OC fest.

We could also count @farores radio podcast about Shunrei and June that was prompted by the Click and Drag Drabble challenge for the Ladies Fest back in June.

That must be most of it ! Admins were planning to show the exemple and in their own native languages, but we often take part in the challenges so we hope you will close your eyes on this ;)

À propos de ce que nous appelons «Auteur Indépendant» (ou Free Writer)

Nous détestons tous les piqûres de rappels mais repetitio est mater studiorum. Donc allons-y, prenons un peu le temps de se parler du « free writing »

Contexte 

Ce blog vous offre assez régulièrement des thèmes que nous aimons penser sont intéressant et propice a l'écriture, ou prompts comme on le sur tumblr. Idéalement, ces themes vont inciter les amateurs de la plume en tout genre à prendre leur matériel ou ouvrir leur logiciel de traitement de texte favori le temps de quelques millier de mots, que nous invitons à partager un jour donne et à 'fangirler' ensemble sur ces derniers. En d'autres termes, un FEST.

Mais, et le défi alors ?

Pour épicer un peu les choses, nous organisons un petit défi sur un principe similaire à celui de l'ami invisible, dans lequel chacun reçoit un prompt précis à réaliser (généralement des personnages précis, un lieu, un sujet ou autre « contrainte »). La plupart des participant prennent aussi part au défi, aussi nous ne nous attarderons pas sur le sujet, d'autant plus que la raison d’être de ce post pointe le bout de son nez :

Il n'est absolument pas obligatoire de participer au défi pour prendre part à un FanFic Fest.

Donc, qu'est-ce qu'un Auteur Indépendant ?

Si le thème d'un fest vous inspire tel-quel, sans les élément additionnels qu'un paquet offre, vous devriez totalement considérer écrire votre histoire et la partager avec nous en utilisant les tags du festival ! Même que vous pouvez tagger le blog si vous avez peur qu'il se perde dans les tags. Nous demandons simplement que ledit texte soit conforme à nos règles, mais vraiment il s'agit surtout d'avoir un œuvre tout public.

Comme vous écrivez sans être lie à un paquet, nous appelons votre participation 'indépendante' (free writing en anglais)

Et ce n'est pas tout !

En tant qu'auteur indépendant, vous êtes totalement libre d’écrire dans la langue de votre choix ! Comme votre écrit n'est pas lie à un paquet et par conséquent  à un autre participant, vous n'avez pas besoin d'utiliser une langue 'universel' pour permettre à cette autre personne de comprendre ce que vous avez écrit.

De plus, nous attendons des auteurs participants au défi de veiller à ne pas inclure de 'ships' dans leur écrit – nous ne voulons pas faire de ce festival un terrain de guerre entre 'ships'. (Sauf si c'est pour manger, dans ce cas aboulez les missiles ! J'veux des pringles) Aussi, suivant le même raisonnement que pour les langue, en tan qu'auteur indépendant vous n’êtes pas obliges de suivre cette règle. Juste pensez à bien les énoncer/tagger.

Quelques exemples 

Il y en a peu, mais voyez ici les écrits de @regina-del-cielo His favorite Place in the World, avec Kasa en vedette et écrit dans le contexte du Nationality Fest The Queen's Revenge, une histoire à propos de Pallas de Cassiopée, Antigone de la Colombe et Albiore de Cephée écrit pour le OC fest.

On peut aussi compter la pièce radio de @farores avec Shunrei et June qui a été crée grâce au Click and Drag Drabble Challenge pour le Ladies Fest en juin.

Voila ! Ça devrait englober l'essentiel !

Les admins prévoyaient de montrer l'exemple dans leur langues maternelles respectives, mais comme nous prenons souvent part au défis nous espérons que vous fermerez les yeux sur ce petit écart ;)

Acerca de lo que llamamos “Free Writer”

Todos odiamos una y otra que se nos diga algo, pero repetitio est mater studiorum. Así que vamos a hablar un poco de “free writing”.

Contexto

Este blog ofrece regularmente temas que nos gusta pensar son interesantes de escribir, o prompts si lo deseas. Idealmente, aquellos inspiran a los escritores a tomar sus bolígrafos o abrir su programa de procesamiento de texto favorito para un one-shot (historia corta) de “unas mil palabras de largo”, que invitamos a todos a compartir en una fecha fija y fangirlear unos con otros, dando, en otras palabras, un FEST.

¿Qué pasa con el Desafío?

Para hacer las cosas aún más divertidas, ofrecemos un desafío. La mayoría de ustedes conocen y participan en el desafío, así que no nos extenderemos hablando mucho sobre él, especialmente cuando el punto principal de este post está a la vuelta de la esquina:

No tienen que ser parte del desafío para participar en un fest.

Entonces, ¿qué es un Free writer o escritor libre?

Si el tema te inspira totalmente, sin los elementos adicionales que ofrece un paquete, ¡puedes escribir tu historia y publicarla usando las etiquetas del fest! Vamos, incluso etiquetar al blog si tienes miedo de que se pierda. Pedimos que dicha historia siga nuestras reglas, pero es sobre todo mantener tu trabajo sfw.

Puesto que escribes sin ser responsable de un paquete, llamamos a tu participación Free Writing o Escritura libre

¡Qué más!

Como un free writer, eres absolutamente, bueno, ¡libre de escribir en el idioma de tu elección! Debido a que tu historia no está ligada a un paquete y, en consecuencia, a otro participante, no necesitas usar idiomas “universales” para darte a entender por dicha persona.

También requerimos que los participantes en los desafíos mantengas sus historias “ship free” - no queremos que este fest termine como terreno para una guerra de ships. Además, al igual que puedes escribir en el idioma que desees, como free writer no estás obligado a seguir esta regla y puedes agregar los ships propiamente.

¿Qué hay de los ejemplos?

Hay pocos, pero aquí echa un vistazo a la obra de @regina-del-cielo: His favorite Place in the World, sobre Kasa y escrito en el contexto de Nationality Fest The Queen’s Revenge, historia sobre Cassiopea Pallas, Columba Antigone y Albiore escrito para el OC fest.

Podríamos también contar @farores y su radio podcast sobre Shunrei y June que fueron creados ​​por el Click and Drag Drabble Challenge para el Ladies Fest en junio.

The weather might not always act accordingly but summer is getting close ! And in many countries the first day of summer is also the day of a very special festival. Also, to be all ready for that celebration we decided this fest's theme will be ...

MUSIC !

Indeed, who doesn't like music ? It's something we all love, even Lune makes no exception in this... well, maybe quieter than for the rest of us.

With so many musicians in Saint Seiya we thought this could be the occasion to give them some spotlight. So shuffle your favorite playlist for inspiration and keep the links of the songs/pieces you will use handy.

Now here comes

THE CHALLENGE

If you wish to take part of the challenge please send us an ask/IM/fanmail with the following : 

1. Character(s) : you can choose one to three characters (don't have to be musicians in canon) 2. Scenery/Context : where the story takes place or what will the characters do (ex : concert, music lesson, discovering a new genre/instrument, forming a band,  ...) 3. Instrument : will be used or at least mentioned in the drabble. Choirs and singing included. (PS : Did you know some people list as much as 1500 different instruments all over the world ? You have a lot of space to be creative here ;) ) 4. Music : either a whole genre or a specific band/musician/singer/compositor, or a even a specific song/piece. The writers will build their work around this or at least inspire themselves from it. (Ex : Opera, Luciano Pavarotti,  Rachmaninov, traditional korean music, Joshua Bell, baroque, ect )

Send your packages before : May 7, Sunday, 11pm (gtm -6:00)

Show day : May 26, Friday

¿A quién no le gusta la música? Es algo que todos amamos, incluso el mismos Lune le gusta… quizás no tan ruidoso.

Con tantos músicos en Saint Seiya pensabamos que podría ser la ocasión para darles un poco de spotlight. Así que pon tu playlist favorita para inspirarte y ten listo incluso el link de aquella canción/pieza de música que usarás.

Si quieren participar en el reto, por favor envíanos lo siguiente por IM/ask/fanmail:

1. Personaje (s): Pueden elegir entre uno hasta tres personajes (no tienen que ser músicos en canon) 2. Escenario: Dónde ocurre la historia. (ejem: concierto, clase de música, descubriendo un nuevo genero/instrumento, formando una banda...) 3. Instrumento: Será usado o al menos mencionado una vez en la historia. Esta incluido coros y cantar (¿Sabías que algunas personas enlistan tantos como 1500 instrumentos diferentes al rededor del mundo? Tiene un gran espacio para ponerte creativo ;) )     4. Qui n'aime pas la musique ? C'est quelque chose que nous apprécions tous, même Lune n'y fait pas exception ... enfin peut être pas aussi fort que nous autres.

Et avec autan de musiciens chez les Chevaliers du Zodiaque nous avons pensé que c'était l'occasion rêvée de les faire entrer en scène. Aussi sortez vos playlists favorites pour un souffle d'inspiration et gardez près de vous les liens des morceaux que vous allez utiliser.

I want a slice of pizza now. This will be the topic! The day by day, either in an AU, in the Saint Seiya Universe, the life outside or inside the Sanctuary/Asgard/Hades/Atlantis. It is totally up to you. Remember as well that you can ask your friends if you can use one of their OCs and give proper credit in the fic.

Quoi de neuf ? Comment se déroule la nouvelle année pour vous? De notre cote nous sommes très heureuses de vous dire que nous étions en train de mettre certaines choses a jour pour faire de ce Fest quelque chose de mieux que celui de l’année passée ! Notre boite est toujours ouverte et prête à recevoir des questions s'il y a quelque chose que vous ne comprenez pas. Nous espérons avoir tout prêt dans le mois qui vient. Mais venons en au faits ! Le premier Fest de 2017 ! Génial n'est-ce-pas ?

PERSONNAGES ORIGINAUX II !

Nous avons décidé de commencer avec quelque chose rappelant des souvenirs : les OC avait déjà été le thème d'une édition précédente, et nous allons les reprendre car ON ADORE. Alors préparez-vous, faites vos bébés beaux et c'est parti !

Alors, nous avons décidé de commencer avec quelque chose de relax, juste pour prendre le plaisir d’écrire a propos des personnages de Saint Seiya et vos Ocs, vous savez? Et c'est pour ça que nous allons vous présenter …

SLICE OF LIFE

J'voudrais une part de pizza oui C'est le thème ! Le jour pour jour, dans un AU ou conforme a l'univers de Saint Seiya, le quotidien en dehors ou a l’intérieure du Sanctuaire/Asgard/Chez Hadès/Atlantis. C'est entièrement votre choix. Souvenez-vous que vous pouvez « emprunter » les Ocs de vos amis si vous leur demander la permission et en veillant a leur donnez la part de crédit approprie.

ET MAINTENANT…

LE DÉFI

Tous le monde peut y prendre part, ou si vous préférez rester plus libre (ou écrire dans la langue de votre choix) vous pouvez écrire une œuvre sur le sujet en suivant nos règles et la partager avec nous en tan que « free writer ».

Si vous voulez prendre part au défi (une version anglaise de votre texte sera demandée) envoyez les info suivante par message/ask/fanmail :

    1. Personnage(s) : vous pouvez choisir entre un et trois personnages (qui font parti du canon de la série/spin-off). Ces personnages vont interagir avec les Ocs du participant qui recevra ce paquet.      2. Moment de la journée et/ou la météo : Matin, soir, nuit, dîner ou goûter ? Pluie, soleil, froid ou chaleur infernale ? L'auteur devra construire son écrit autour de ces éléments.    3. Sujet : Amitiés, amour, mélancolie, joie, le dernier film vu, l'actualité, le temps … Vous pouvez aussi envoyer RANDOM et laisser à l'auteur le choix du sujet.

Welcome to the Saint FFic Fest! IN OUR FIRST YEAR!

I know, Lune! It is fantastic, isn’t it ?! You didn’t know? Oh don’t worry, we will celebrate anyway, so go and get ready!

We are very happy to announce that this project had being living A WHOLE YEAR! 

Yes, a year ago I (Xocowilde) began all this as a simple idea to give challenges, fun and put the Fanfic writers of our fandom in the spotlights. And I must admit I didn’t thought and sometimes I even doubt that we could have an anniversary or even a single blog for the Fest ! I even needed to ask help to my beautiful friend @aqualianbird who had being part of this as well! We are counting 47 FFics from all our Six Fest Editions thanks to all of you! Of course we need to celebrate with a special event, don’t you think so? Yes.. WE HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU... one that you will know later...

But first let me thank the people who participated in the first Saint FFic Fest. You were the first ones and you helped me believe in this!

The people who decides to be part of the ffic fest, but hasn't enter to the challenge. Of course all the writers are free to write whatever they want, but these ones only needs to follow the topic of the Fest and the rules, indeed. They are considered in the masterlist and we reblog as well their work and fanarts someone else of they do for the drabble.

Claro que todos los escritores son libres de escribir lo que quieran, pero estos solamente siguen el tema y las reglas, claro está. Saint FFic Fest || Updates

Hello guys! Just to reminding you that in three weeks is the SHOW DAY! So you have plenty of time :D And something else. The people who hasn't post their work from the FFic Fest about Nationalities, please tell me if you will do it or not. I had decided to write them by myself if you are not interested anymore. I do this because after all the package was from someone else and maybe they were/are waiting to read it. I know how's life, school and work. But I find a bit rude that none of you has saying anything about it. If you are busy I'll understand, if you are not interested any more in that package for different reasons, is totally ok. Just please tell me in time so I can work on them. If you don't answer in these days coming, I'll take it as you aren't interested and I'll write the drabbles myself so the people who send them doesn't need to wait. Thanks for your time
