do you have a favorite albino animal(s)?
Probably the albino pleco because i love fish:
This one is a common sailfin pleco I think, but bristlenose, regular common, clown, and zebra etc. can also be albino.
These are some of the COOLEST fish to hold actually, They're plecostomus catfish and the tops of common plecos bodies are like sharp plates of armour.
Just look at those scales <3

I drew some D&D Locathah. The official Locathah art makes this people look like a kind of catfish, but I decided it would be fun if my Locathah were based on the sailfin, or armoured catfish (or ‘plecos’ – the kind people keep in tanks). So my Locathah are covered in spots and have sucker-faces.
The real life sailfin catfish uses a modified stomach to ‘breathe’ with, allowing it to live out of the water for up to 20 hours. This is better than the fictional Locathah can do: Locathah generally need to return to the water after 4 hours, according to my copy of “Ghosts of Saltmarsh”.
Sailfin catfish can walk on land, at up to 2.3 mph, and their unique gait is called ‘reffling’.
However, they are freshwater fish, so probably not suitable for a saltmarsh environment. I might need to draw some more maritime catfish Locathah!

The Dragon Pleco has thoughtfully placed itself next to the Panda Garra for a size comparison.
For sheer body mass the Garra wins, for now. The Pleco has quite a bit of growth to go and the addition of the large "sailfin" gives the Pleco even more of a visual edge.
(The Garra is fully grown at 3.5 inches, the Pleco will top out at about 6 inches and will be the largest member of the community, provided it remains a good citizen.)

How many tank mates can I have with an Oscar in a specific-sized aquarium?
If you are an aquarium enthusiast, you might have considered adding an Oscar fish to your tank due to their unique personalities and striking appearance. Oscars, scientifically known as Astronotus ocellatus, are a popular choice among fishkeepers, but their compatibility with other fish is a topic of concern. The question arises: How many tank mates can I have with an Oscar in a specific-sized aquarium? In this article, we will explore the ideal number of tank mates for Oscars, considering their size, temperament, and tank requirements.
Understanding Oscars and Their Nature
Before delving into the topic of tank mates, it's essential to understand Oscars and their nature. Oscars are cichlids, native to the Amazon River basin in South America. They are known for their intelligent behavior, individual personalities, and impressive size potential. Adult Oscars can grow up to 12 to 16 inches (30 to 40 cm) in length, making them a substantial presence in any aquarium.
Oscar's Temperament and Aggression
While Oscars are captivating creatures, they can be aggressive and territorial. As they grow, they tend to become more assertive, especially during breeding periods. Their territorial behavior may lead to aggressive interactions with other tank mates, which can result in injuries or even fatalities. Therefore, selecting suitable tank mates is crucial to ensure a harmonious community aquarium.

Tank Size Requirements
The size of your aquarium plays a crucial role in determining the number of tank mates you can keep with an Oscar. Considering their potential adult size, Oscars require large tanks with ample swimming space. A 75-gallon (around 284 liters) tank is the minimum recommended size for a single adult Oscar. However, larger tanks, such as 125 gallons (473 liters) or more, are preferred, as they provide better territory division and reduce the chances of aggression.
Suitable Oscar Tank Mates
When choosing tank mates for your Oscar, it's essential to consider species that can withstand the occasional aggressive behavior of these cichlids. While Oscars can be aggressive, they can coexist with other robust and compatible fish. Here are some suitable tank mates to consider:
1. Large Cichlids:
Pairing Oscars with other large and robust cichlids from the same region can work well. Species such as Jack Dempseys (Rocio octofasciata), Green Terrors (Andinoacara rivulatus), or Severums (Heros severus) are good choices. However, keep in mind that even with these species, territorial disputes may occur, so ample space and hiding spots are necessary.
2. Catfish:
Medium to large-sized catfish species can make good tank mates for Oscars. Plecos, such as the Common Pleco (Hypostomus plecostomus), and Sailfin Pleco (Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps), are popular choices. These catfish are bottom-dwellers and usually won't interfere with the Oscars' territory.
3. Silver Dollars (Metynnis spp.):
Silver Dollars are peaceful, schooling fish that can coexist with Oscars. Their active swimming behavior adds liveliness to the tank, and their schooling nature may help minimize aggression directed towards any single fish.
Tips for Introducing Tank Mates
Introducing new tank mates to an established Oscar's aquarium requires careful consideration. Here are some tips to make the transition smoother:
1. Quarantine New Fish:
Before adding any new fish, including tank mates, to your Oscar's aquarium, quarantine them separately for a few weeks. This precaution helps to ensure that the newcomers are healthy and do not introduce diseases to the existing tank.
2. Rearrange the Aquarium:
Before adding new fish, rearrange the aquarium decor. This disrupts the established territories, making the Oscars less aggressive towards the newcomers.
3. Monitor Behavior:
Keep a close eye on the interactions between the Oscars and their new tank mates. If aggression becomes excessive, be prepared to provide a backup plan, such as a separate tank for the new fish.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Oscars can coexist with other fish, but careful planning and consideration are necessary. The number of tank mates you can have with an Oscar depends on the size of your aquarium, the temperament of the fish species, and their compatibility with Oscars. Always prioritize the well-being of your fish by providing ample space and hiding spots to reduce potential conflicts. When chosen thoughtfully, tank mates can add diversity and interest to your aquarium, making it a vibrant and captivating aquatic community.

Traded on a local page for this poor guy cause he was in a 10 gallon before with a dwarf crayfish and a goldfish and needed a bigger tank, luckily I had a big tank I was planning on putting a pleco in.
If there's any pleco fans out there that might know what kind of pleco I have, that'd be great. I think he's a common but it could be a sailfin, or even an different variation.
