Of all the cuisines I love to shoot, I think I like Lebanese cuisine the most. Lebanese food is always vibrant, and with a mixture of earthy and fresh elements it’s always a beautiful contrast between bright and smokey colours. Lebanese food is always served on decorative plates, on top of textured runners and fabrics, and the drinks are always fun and whimsical. Every time I photograph Lebanese food it’s hard not to get overly involved with the project, like when I worked with @sahrabytheriver. After completing a sequence of photos for their collection, we had some fun playing with the food and light. Fun fact, dark photography is actually my favourite kind, which is why I always gravitate towards the dark, even when I shoot in bright settings. These are my favourite shots from the day, most of them are against the darkness.
