Who doesn't Sage think is exceptional? From Carly supporting her through work and life to Vince being a person she can always count on for guidance and support, to Ayanna helping her sort through feelings -- Sage thinks most everyone in their life is exceptional. In nearly every person they meet, they can find some good -- that's how they were taught to see the world. However, they're very, very smitten with Owen and in awe of him. He's pretty spectacular in their book and they could ramble on and on about him, his compassion, his brain, his sweetness... you get the idea. So, if you asked them, they'd currently answer Owen without missing a beat and with a wide grin on their face.

Fresh coffee in hand and a lingering smile on their face, Sage made their way through the back of the library to the back deck that they typically frequent during lunch. With a relatively busy morning already, a visit from their partner, and being due for a break, they figured this was as good a time as any to take it. Fussing with their shirt a little as they sat down, they let out a little sigh, contented notes mixing with the exasperation of being at work rather than any of the places they'd like to be. Not that working at the library was bad, not by any means, but sometimes they'd rather be curled up in the mornings reading, or out experiencing Denver during a weekday to see what it offers during mundane hours. Regardless, they also couldn't deny they would have liked more time with Owen this morning.

Digressing completely, thankful for having seen him out of surprise in the first place, they sipped their coffee. Finally, they looked around, gasping a little once they noticed their supervisor just a few feet away. "Carly!" Immediately hopping up and moving closer to the woman, Sage beamed. "I didn't realize you were out here too. I thought I'd go ahead and take my break before it got too late." The quick explanation was followed by them taking a seat next to Carly. "How's your day going so far? I feel like I've been stuck on the floor a lot recently and haven't been able to see you." With a sip of their coffee, they watched their colleague with bright eyes, excited for a moment to sit alone with her without the worry of a patron walking up.
