oooooo. ok i actually really like that as a fic title. i've not listened to the song but it immediately gave me connotations and the promise of soft vibes and wholesome content

one of them wakes up before the other at dawn and just. marvels at the person lying asleep next to them, completely at peace and without worry or stress. perhaps the light hits them perfectly and like. illuminates them, leaving them looking radiant. (ofc roy always knew riza was beautiful but seeing her asleep like that in such soft lighting opens his eyes even more and makes him fall in love with her all over again. like. "life altering realisation", "heart swelling, fit to burst" kind of shit). they would ruminate over their feelings for the other person and how much they mean to them, how large a part they play in their life, and how they cannot imagine them not side by side in any capacity. and it makes them realise that every morning they've spent before not waking up next to this person is a morning wasted and damn it all, that's all they want for the rest of their life. it's selfish and wrong of them to want such things after their past, but they cannot help the desire from springing forth.

mornings used to be a time recovering from a nightmare or gearing up to get out of bed to face the day ahead, but that particular morning was as easy as breathing with the other by their side
