Udde: l'esordio su lp esce il 31 marzo

Uscirà il prossimo 31 marzo The Familiar Stranger, il nuovo lavoro di Udde. Musicista polistrumentista, appassionato di Baroque Pop, scena di Canterbury, Black Metal, suona per 10 anni la chitarra e i synth con la band Psychedelic -Prog Wave  Soyland Green, con cui registra un cdr: Final Superstereo. Il gruppo si scioglie nel 2011, ma Udde decide di continuare, questa volta da solo. Nel 2012 pubblica un ep, autoprodotto, intitolato Fog.

Tra il 2013 ed il 2015 registra quello che sarebbe dovuto diventare il suo primo lp, ma insoddisfatto del risultato, butta tutto nel cestino e volta pagina, producendo un altro lavoro ex novo. E questa volta ci riesce: The Familiar Stranger è il debutto sulla lunga distanza in uscita per l’etichetta PNR

L’album conta 11 tracce, composte, registrate e mixate da Udde in completa solitudine. Il mastering viene affidato a Carl Saff, del Saffmastering di Chicago.

“Un disco pop, forse un po’ spatinato, ma il pop da la possibilità di fare più o meno quello che si vuole, perché comunque rimane becero pop. The Familiar Stranger è “voyeurismo” puro, senza giudizi, critiche, approvazioni, condanne e assoluzioni (sempre che il sarcasmo non sia di per sé un giudizio).” – Udde

  I testi del disco riprendono la tradizione pop inglese (Kinks, Blur et similia): semplici, se non addirittura elementari e banali quadretti di vita di provincia. Si parla di vicini di casa, violenze e vendette, weekend freddi, dipendenze da bar, noie sentimentali, rozze madri adolescenti, emigrati in Germania, preti innamorati, puzza di fritto, chirurgia, tossici innamorati, famiglie numerose, deserti estivi.
