Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warning(s): Smut, Oral, slight Fingering
-
Sub!Saebyeok would kinda get shy, but sparks of adrenaline will rush through her body when you gently spread her thighs. She bites her bottom lip to stop herself from grinning too hard. She examines under her lashes at how you kiss her inner thigh. A soft sigh will escape her lips when she notices you’re starting to lower your face to her core.
Sub!Saebyeok is a total watcher. Her eyes never leave your face. She loves to watch you go completely drunk over her cunt. She focuses on the way your lips would wrap around her clit and suck. You roll your tongue against her core and back up to her clit. A blush forms on her cheeks when she sees her juice connect with your lips when you pull away to catch your breath.
Sub!Saebyeok is usually quiet, but she’s the total opposite during these moments. She will cry and pant out loud. She would beg and grind her hips into your mouth. You have to hold her thighs apart as she squeals around.
“Please please please,” She begs. Her voice turns a few notices up. You will suck harder and bring your fingers up to fill her cunt. She arches her back and chokes out a moan. She brings one hand down and accidentally grips your hair hard. Her eyebrows furrow as she continues watching you, so lost in her pleasure.
Sub!Saebyeok would bring her other hand to cover her mouth. Her moans become muffled. You would pull away, and a trail of her juice connects from her core to your mouth.
“Why did you stop?” She whines. You take her hand from her mouth and gentle held it, not letting go.
“I want to hear you,” You explain before going back to licking her core. Her stomach tenses and she tilts her head back into the pillow. She cusses and jerks feverishly into your mouth. You close your eyes to focus on the feeling of her cunt, but she tugs your hair hard. You look up to her blushing and sweaty face.
“Look at me when I come,” She grunts.
Sub!Saebyeok would orgasm hard with a high-pitched moan. Her body would twitch uncontrollably. She will slowly stop moving her hips into your mouth. You lean away and gently kiss her hand. As she catches her breath, she smiles and lets out a soft giggle. She notices how hard you’re clenching your thighs together.

IN ANOTHER LIFE | CHO SANG-WOO (PLAYER 218) AU
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: sang-woo x reader au (slice of life)
ft: sae-byeok (ooc), gi-hun, ali summary: after your long honeymoon abroad, you were finally reuniting with your friends at a bar in seoul. warnings: wholesome fluff, hardly any plot, protective!sang-woo, established relationship, pda, teasing, small flashback to sexual encounter, alcohol consumption, marriage, sub/dom if you squint, the happy ending the og characters deserved. 1.7k
the bar was heaving. sang-woo pressed his palm to the small of your back, coaxing you along as he guided you into the crowd in search of your friends. he angled his shoulder outwards, unafraid of driving it into anyone careless enough to get in his way. all he could think about was your little body in a sea of drunk, sloppy men standing much taller than you, and all he wanted was to get you to safety.
sang-woo's shoulder caught a stranger in the back. he spun around, face red and contorted, the liquid in his glass sloshing onto his own shirt.
"watch it!" he slurred, craning his head to square up to sang-woo, but even if he matched him in height, he would lose by size.
sang-woo said nothing, he didn't need to. the coldness in his eyes said everything for him. one look and the drunk man stepped back, hands lifted in an offering of peace. sang-woo accepted it, but not without taking one last look and scoffing.
"sang-woo," you warned as he moved you along. he knew you disliked his confrontational side that came out when he was feeling protective of us, but there were matters more pressing than one drunk man.
"are you still watching your drink?" he asked, and you glanced down at the glass held only by your fingertips, palm sealing the top from bad intentions. "good girl," he praised when you nodded your head, looking up at him like he was all that existed.
his fingers spread wider across the small of your back, and you didn't miss the way his fingers grazed the top of your ass.
you glanced away from sang-woo at the distant call of your name.
in the corner, gi-hun stood up from his seat at a booth, waving you over with a sway of his arm. "over here!" he said, before sinking back into his chair.
sang-woo re-centred his hand on your back immediately. he kept it there until you arrived at the table where your friends hollered out sounds of jovial greetings, and only took his hand off when you sat down. he followed you into the booth, his thigh falling against yours. the expensive material of his suit trousers cold against your bare skin.
sae-byeok squealed your name and pulled you into an embrace. "i've missed you!" she beamed, rocking you sideways in her arms. she pulled back and looked you up and down, savouring your presence with a content sigh, but her gaze landed over your shoulder. the smile was gone, replaced by a scowl as she lifted a finger to point at your husband. "you," she accused. "honeymoon's are supposed to last two weeks," she said, narrowing her eyes as she rested a hand against your knee. "you kept us apart for a month!"
sang-woo raised his hands defensively. "don't blame me!" he said, tossing his head toward you. "she's the one who wanted to see half of europe."
"me?" you gasped, hand flying up to your chest. "i wanted to see paris. you're the one who insisted we visit milan, london, berlin..." you listed, only trailing off to gasp again as he rolled his eyes playfully. you poked a finger into the wall of his chest and all too quickly, you paused.
sang-woo slowly lowered his gaze to your hand on his chest. the tick of his jaw, the slow drag of his eyes back up to yours. they were dark, dirty, and the stretch of his lips into a sly smirk helped remind you of the last time you tried to stand up to him.
the telephone of your hotel suite in amsterdam informed you of a noise complaint, citing concerningly loud crying.
sang-woo held the phone out for you to listen as the receptionist asked "is everything okay?" and the tilt of his head encouraged you to put her mind at ease. "yes, everything is hnngh–" you cried as sang-woo slowly pulled back his hips, only to drive them against yours in one swift motion. "everything's fine!" you said quickly, shoving your face into the mattress as another blow of sang-woo's hips landed against yours.
sang-woo lifted the phone to his own ear and said, "thanks for your concern," before hanging up and setting it carelessly back onto the receiver. he turned back to you, arms dropping back down to cage you to the mattress.
you knew the memory was replaying in his mind. the stretch of his smirk gave him away. the heat rushed into your cheeks when his eyes glossed over with desire. you couldn't even look at him, his gaze was too intense, too provoking for you. under the table, his hand slowly settled onto your thigh, slowly running closer to the hem of your dress.
"i feel like we're interupting something," said ali, hiding behind his bottle of beer. he peeked from behind it, as if frightened to be correct.
you pressed your palm against sang-woo's chest and shoved him back, and while he didn't even budge, he did release you from his gaze and turned to the rest of the table. you shakily reached out for your cocktail, grateful to the ice cubes for chilling the glass, and took a flustered sip. you needed to cool down.
sae-byeok caught your eye as you took a quick glance around the table. she gave you a sly, knowing smirk. "i see why the honeymoon doubled," she said quiet enough for just you to catch, leaning it closer to teasingly nudge your shoulder with hers.
"oh, stop it," you nudged her back.
she giggled and lifted her own cocktail up to tap against yours. "cheers to europe," she said, "hot, sexy europe."
meanwhile, sang-woo hooked an arm over ali, defusing the tension by redirecting the conversation to him "ali," he said. "don't tell me you and mrs. abdul weren't the same after your honeymoon."
"mrs. abdul doesn't like it when i talk about the happenings of our honeymoon."
sang-woo raised his eyebrows and asked, "were you that bad in bed?"
ali scowled. sang-woo chuckled and affectionately pulled him in closer to ruffle his hair, careful not to overdo it.
"hey!" ali protested, swatting sang-woo's hands and breaking out of his hold. "don't get any ideas," he warned, lifting up his wedding band and tapping it. "i'm not available."
"but i am," gi-hun said with exaggerated flirtation, before taking a swig from his bottle, shooting a suggestive wink at sang-woo who kicked him under the table. "ow!" gi-hun cried, flinching as sang-woo reached across the table to playfully swipe at him.
sae-byeok shot an arm out at her cocktail glass, narrowly retrieving it from the table in time to dodge sang-woo’s arm. gi-hun's beer bottle wasn’t so lucky, toppling over and spilling over his lap. sae-byeok sighed and rolled her eyes, turning back to you.
"why did we even invite them?" she asked, leaning into your side. she ran her hands down your wrist and caught your left hand, lifting it up to her face. she gazed at your wedding ring. "it's very beautiful," she breathed out in amazement, tilting your hand under the bar lights. she gasped as it sparkled. she beamed excitedly, "so shiny!"
"don't take your eyes off it," gi-hun warned, bumping his elbow into sae-byeok's. "or it'll be gone by the end of the night."
sae-byeok dropped your hand and swatted his shoulder, but sang-woo reached out and caught it before it could fall to your lap. he lifted your hand up and examined the ring he placed on your finger only a month ago. he smiled fondly, lifting the ring to his lips to press a chaste kiss against it. you shuddered as his breath fanned over your knuckles.
he leaned closer, lips brushing against the shell of your ear. "you're so beautiful when you're smiling," he murmured, pressing a final kiss to your cheek before returning you to sae-byeok, who rolled her eyes one last time at gi-hun.
"that was one time," she said. "i robbed you one time."
"still one time more than anyone else at the table," gi-hun pressed further, but the glimmer of affection in his glazed eyes was enough to diffuse any argument. he grinned once more before turning back to the boys.
you reached out for sae-byeok's arm and she lit up immediately, understanding exactly what you were asking for. she offered you a sip of her cocktail, and you did the same. you both leaned back, smacking your glossed lips, evaluating the taste.
"six," she decided, pointing at your drink to explain the reasons for her ranking of your cocktail. "a little too sweet."
you scoffed. "you would say that," you teased, feigning offence, before settling against her shoulder and falling into conversation.
the hours rolled by as you shared stories of your trip, discussed her little brother starting high school, and most excitingly, her new romance with a pretty girl called ji-yeong. she swiped through an album of images from dates at cafes, walks through the city, movie night on sae-byeok's sofa. the whole time you listened, all you could focus on was the grin that consumed every one of her features. the creases by her eyes, the stretch of her cheeks.
she was finally happy.
"i wanted to ask if i could bring her over," she asked sheepishly. "to the next family dinner."
at the end of every week, you and sang-woo's mother prepared dinner in the home you shared with your new husband. everyone was invited. sae-byeok and her little brother, ali and his family, and of course, gi-hun.
you blinked at sae-byeok. the dinner table was never too small for another chair, and sang-woo always made sure there were enough wine glasses in the cupboard for a small army.
"sae-byeok," you said softly, resting your hand against her arm. "that would be wonderful, i can't wait to meet her."
she broke into a grin and immediately burst with excitement. "don't worry about dessert, she makes really great bingsu!"
she listed all the other desserts that ji-yeong has made her, and you let her ramble for as long as she did, just grateful to see such joy finally consume her. from the other side of the table, the boys seemed to be as equally engrossed in conversation, all leant over their beer bottles in calm discussion of what must've been anything other than sports. that always riled up sang-woo. but he was placid, a look of content while nodding along to gi-hun's murmurings.
sang-woo glanced over and caught you watching. he smiled, eyes flooding with a warmth that only you were privy to. he settled his hand on your lap, interlacing his fingers with yours silently, giving you one last squeeze before returning to his conversation, just as you did yours.
you took one last look around the table, and your heart swelled in your chest. everyone was smiling.
as beautiful as europe had been, it felt good to finally be back with your friends, with your husband, but most importantly, where you belonged.
in another life, maybe they really would have family dinners every week. please like, comment, reblog. love <3

Tumblr media
It was the 3rd night in an isolated but dangerous place — where the number written on the right side of your chest, how you do in the following games and your survival skills define your existence just for a bunch of securities. For 45.6 billion won — the winner of the game will emerge the money while the ones who fail to succeed will guarantee the winner an everlasting fortune.
You could say you were getting used to this place, maybe it was because you were alive on the eve of the 4th game for the next day. Though you felt guilty, indictable and sorrowful for pushing it through—- maybe there was someone who was far more useful for humanity but didn’t make it.
But you did — and so did she.
Your ex,
Kang Sae byeok.
It felt so cold in the big discredited space though there wasn’t any heat to fill in the emptiness. You felt it on your own skin, players were getting more and more exhausted with each passing game. Your team barely made it in the tug of war game, but you did—- and so did Sae Byeok’s team.
Your gaze looks for her sharp, cold hearted eyes as everyone walks inside, weary from the game. Soon after, you catch a glimpse of her tall figure. A relieving exhale leaves your lips upon just seeing her back facing you while she walks to her bed.
You had a lot to tell her, well, to thank her. Though you weren’t delighted or happy by seeing her here, she still helped you get through. Almost to say you’d be dead without her.
First game—- Red light and Green light
You ran for your life when green and stayed still like a wooden tree on red. That’s when the moment you were afraid of came — you slipped right before the girl ended.
Your breath hitched as cold sweat covered your forehead. Hoping it’ll be over you shut your eyes, expecting a shot through your head and the feeling of grainy sand in your eyes.
Until, A hand tightened its grip on the back of your jacket, so tight it gripped your white top beneath. Balancing you so you don’t fall, your eyes widen open.
‘Who’s holding me?’ your eyes scrambled its gaze around the sandy floor. someone caught you just in time. “무궁화 꽃 이 피었 습니다 “ The girl's voice was slow and you had plenty of seconds to turn around and to run. That’s when your blood ran cold when you figured out who it was. Sae byeok, taking your wrist and pulling you to run to the very white line, she turns her head towards you right when the girl stops talking.
She was always a fast thinker — you realized she turned her back to the statue so she doesn’t see her talk to you. Noticing how hard she breathed, she was also scared as everyone present. A couple of shots made you tremble beneath her harsh fingers, your brain speechless, out of words to speak.
Though your gaze was gentle towards her, you stood still. Sae byeok’s sharp eyes lingered on yours, blinking as she whispered. “When she goes off again,” she quietly mumbles. “Run as fast as you can and we’ll be finished.” her face was dead serious but in her eyes. Her eyes were holding onto hope you two would have a chance if you listened to her words.
Second game—- Dalgona
Cold sweat fell off your forehead every time you heard a gunshot. It was terrifying— but you had to keep steady. You were under a colorful childlike slide as you tried to steady up your breathing. Looking around you noticed a familiar figure, once again. Sae byeok, emotionlessly staring at you, well, at the shape you chose and signaled you something. Your eyebrows twitched, observing while trying to get what she was showing you. Her hands were showing as if she was signaling to bisect the dalgona.
It looked too easy for your shaky hands. Blinking a few times, it hit you. The triangle was the easiest shape— you could do it in a few moves. A bright color spread around your eyes as you looked down to the dalgona and tightly held it.
However, before you tried to halve it, fear occurred in your mind — what if you fail and get shot just like that? Once again you looked back at Sae byeok who was still looking at you. Her hands moved once again signaling with her gentle but firm hand, lowering her palm, to calm down.
Slowly you nod your head before tightly wrapping your both palms around the dalgona— ready for the next move. You couldn’t help but to close your eyes and think of the worst. Until, your fingers bisected the dalgona. You did it—-turning your head in a smile towards where Sae Byeok was, you were met by an empty space. Sae byeok was nowhere in sight. Immediately your smile faded and tossed and turned looking for your ex. But there was no use. So you calmed your nerves and bisected the dalgona exactly how she showed you.
Flashbacks diverse through your mind like they happened seconds ago. Right as you walked towards the bathroom before midnight fell, you got reminded of one more time when Sae Byeok saved you again. During the night—when every player turned their back on someone with as low worth as them.
Walking into the even colder bathroom, you kept your cool as you realized no one was there. Your footsteps echoed through to the sink. Washing your face and peeking your head up to look at yourself in the mirror.
The fluorescent light above flickered — just once. Your face was pale, a little dirty from the dust and bloodshed of earlier. But your eyes... they looked unfamiliar. Tired. Hollow.
You didn’t recognize this version of yourself. The one still breathing in a world where every breath someone else takes means someone else doesn’t. You closed your eyes for a second, exhaled, then a voice erupts from behind you.
“Thought you’d be here.”
A voice you’d recognize even if you stopped breathing between these massacre walls. Your eyes lingered on hers through the mirror before turning behind your shoulder. Hearing her walk towards you made your senses ignite. Were you getting relaxed or were you, perhaps, getting even more tense?
Sae byeok glared, stared and gazed at you with proud eyes without tilting her chin down. Your lips parted just a little before speaking. “I never got to thank you,”
Sae-byeok didn’t move at first. Her presence alone brought a chill colder than the whole thrill of the breezy bathroom. “I-I know we didn’t talk much, but I’d be dead without you and I’m thankful for it–” But, her voice, low and steady, cut right through you.
“You still don’t get it.”
Before finishing your sentence, the interruption caught you off guard. Twitching your eyebrows and widening your eyes you stare confused and blunt back at her serious expression. For a second she looked away, as if holding something back before speaking into your eyes again. “You totally didn’t know I would help you.” You opened your mouth, a breath escaping, unsure what you were about to say. But she stepped forward. Just one step. Enough to make your back straighten and your heartbeat twist in your ribs.
“As if you want this,” she muttered, like the words weren’t even for you. “For me to come and save you every damn game.”
You shook your head at her demanding words. “That’s not—” Another step. She was closer now, though you didn’t notice it as much as she did. “Look, I never made you help me and never thought you would.” Her jaw tensed. Her voice dropped even lower. “But you didn’t stop me.”
“I didn’t.” you state, your voice is a lot calmer than the tension in between. Sae byeok gulped tightly before leaning on the side of the sink as you stood still. An exhale left her lips as well as her hands that buried deep in her jacket pockets. “I never said I wanted to be saved.” your gaze lowers down. Giving her a chance to glance at you.
“And yet,” she says, dry and slow, “you never pushed me away either.”
You tilt your head slightly, meeting her gaze again. “Would you have declined?” the world as if became a large puzzle — time stopped as you tried to read her expressions.
She breathes through her nose, sharply with a twitch in her jaw. “It’s not that.” her tall figure took a step closer as it hovered over you. ‘Like you just can’t think with your head and so you wait for me to jump in.”
Silence spoke louder for the both of you. The atmosphere was getting uncomfortable with each word shared— honesty, or was it confessions?
“Then stop saving me if I don’t mean as much as I used to.” Your words were loud enough to form an even longer pause—- a heavy, long pause occurring in the bathroom.
Sae byeok’s head was running through her mind, it hurt like a fever. She knew if you died here she wouldn’t have a purpose or who to chase all along for. She knew you still have a special place in her heart— no matter the past you both went through.
She couldn’t risk your reaction if she told you how she’d been without you all this time. Or how she thought the game connected you once again as if it was fate.
“I just…” she tried to explain, at least start, but nothing came out. Only a disappointed sigh as she squeezed her nose bridge with her head lowering under her chin.
Sae-byeok pushes herself off the sink and stands fully again. This time, you saw it in her eyes — the emotion you couldn’t show as well as her. Regret of leaving her and guilt of pressuring her to save you.
“Do you know how hard it is to hate you?” she mutters, voice lower now, more for herself than you. “I really shouldn’t have helped you but I—.”
Before Sae byeok could finish her sentence, you take your time to form words. “You never hated me.” Sae byeok blinked in some kind of agreement, fidgeting her fingers in the pockets of her jacket as she looked at your eyes with the same expression you looked at her.
“I tried to,” she whispered. “But you kept coming back.”
Her voice cracked like the rest of her was catching up to what her mouth just confessed. And then, finally, her hand left her pocket and reached for you, grabbing your shirt near your collar, not rough — but desperate. “Say something,” she muttered, making you surprised. You never saw Sae byeok this yearning and needy for you.
And so, your hands found the both sides of Sae Byeok’s cheeks and pulled her in a long awaited kiss. Her eyes closed shut as her hands immediately found your waist—- under the game jacket.
Her cold hands sent shivers down your spine, meeting your burning skin. Tensing up, your grip on her cheeks divides onto the back of her neck and her shoulder. Groaning and breathing in the needy kiss, you noticed how close you were to her. God, how much Sae byeok missed you— and she will show you, right in the bathroom stall.
“Let’s go to one of the stalls, someone will catch us.” Sae byeok’s voice was now more gentle and softer. You realized she liked your sudden kiss. And so, you obey and take her hand in yours— a smile plastering on your cheeks, earning a small grin from her back.
The bathroom stall closing lingered as your hands wrapped round Sae byeok’s neck once again. You’d never admit it, but you liked how you had to stand on your tiptoes to meet her eyes. Sae byeok’s eyes burned bright, with love and desperation. She lowers down her lips to meet yours again.
Kissing you hungrily as your heads tilted from one side to another. As if you were what she wanted, what Sae byeok needed and missed. While your hands were tangled in her short hair, Sae byeok took her time to slowly unzip your jacket, revealing the game T-shirt with your number on it.
Pulling back, with a swift move your fingers gripped the hem of your T-shirt and took it off. Sae byeok’s pupils dialated at the sight of your bare skin, standing right in front of her. Gently, her hands wrapped around your waist and hips, pulling you into a heartfelt hug. You didn’t expect a hug but you still melted into her touch.
Until a realization hit you like thunder on a rainy day— Sae byeok always hugged you before anything too intimate or affectionate, making you realize she wanted this as much as you did.
Her soft breathing matched yours, both’s hearts beating at the fulfilling rhythm. With swift moves your head switched from facing the wall to facing up Sae byeok. Immersed in her sweet touch you get butterflies at her gentle palm caressing your back. That’s when your eyes met hers. She wasn’t mad, confused or irritated anymore—- she was completely hypnotized by you.
“You’re warm.” she managed to stammer out in your embrace as you stayed silent.
You take a glance at her lips as Sae byeok takes no time to slowly lower her head down and kiss you. In this sweet moment of reassurance, both of you realized this moment was once again yours. Whatever happened between you and Sae byeok didn’t matter anymore—cause right now you had each other.
The tension was getting more and more heated despite the bathroom being chilly. Your lips were moving in a sync you always loved. Sae byeok’s eyebrows furrowed while keeping her eyes closed. Opening your mouth to let her tongue in you groan as you take a step back. That’s when Sae byeok moved her kisses along your cheek, jawline, neck— lower and lower.
As your eyes fluttered open their gaze immediately fell on Sae byeok who was too immersed in giving you hickeys. Breathy groans, moans and any possible sounds of pleasure you could possibly make lingered in Sae’s ear like a melody. Fueling a fire, a desire, that burned with anticipation. “Sae…” a nickname falls off your lips as you notice her starting to undress you. “Arms up.” Sae byeok commanded with a sharp tone but a calming aura around. As you raised your arms she took off your T-shirt and tossed it aside.
Taking a glance of your torso with nothing but a bra, your hands find themselves tangled in hers as if inviting her in. Sae byeok grabs you by the waist and starts to hungrily kiss you all over. You couldn’t help but to take a grip of her short, silky, charcoal hair, earning a groan from her.
Your fingers collided with her cheek, holding it gently as Sae put her hand on your knuckles. As you noticed she was starting to kneel down, your heart beated faster as you grew more and more needy. Her long fingers found the waistband of your green sweatpants. Though before she took them off, her eyes darted at you.
“May I?” her voice— as cold as ice, but her touch was as warm as the sun. Sae would never do anything you wouldn’t like, especially now, so she needed your full consent. With a small smile you blink in agreement, nodding your head as you take a seat on the closed toilet seat. Seeing Sae so needy, desperate, maybe even vulnerable—it drove you crazy.
Sae moved her gaze on your sweatpants as you helped her pull them down, slow and steady. There were not many facial reactions by her as she started moving her thumb across the fabric of your underwear. But you saw it in her eyes—her eyes never lied with the light they carried.
Feeling that familiar feeling of your clit beating as fast as your heart made your breathing tense up. As Sae byeok admires your figure, she slowly and teasingfully starts taking off your underwear. “Look at you,” a smirk growing on her face made you fumble. “Covered in my hickeys.” a playful chuckle escapes her mouth. Sending you chills down your spine as she completely took off your underwear.
You won’t let her play with you that easily—so you rested your leg on her shoulder, surprising her. “It'll be your turn too.”
And with the last word of your sentence, a blush creeped on Sae byeok’s face while smirking even wider. “You won’t have time to.”
That's when her arms took the hold of your thighs and got to work. Her tongue immediately found your sweet spot on your clit, making you arch your back and looking up for a brief second. As if Sae was made for this, she always knew where to strike.
Her tongue swirled and sucked on your clit, slowly caressing the skin of your thighs. It made you feel ticklish but it only made the tension better. Your fingers gripped her hair once again before switching to hold her cheeks. It all felt so unreal. Just 15 minutes before all this you were fighting as people who had broken up—but now? you’re sitting, exhausting all the pleasure Sae byeok is giving you now. You swore you saw the stars, the moon and the whole universe.
That's when Sae byeok slowed down and slowly inserted 1 finger into you. Before you could say anything or complain so needy for slowing down, a half loud moan escaped your lips. Sae byeok furrowed her eyebrows with a smirk as she reached out to put a finger on your lips. “Shh…” she sweetly whispered. “We don’t want anyone hearing us, right?” it all seemed sweet until she inserted another finger. As if she wanted to test you, knowing you’ll be louder.
Breathing heavily, you quietly moan at her movements. Under her eyes it was helpless to fight back when you would fumble right back in your place anyway. “Good,” it was the last thing you heard before gripping her hair even harder at her tongue across your clit and her fingers thrusting with a rhythm. You were losing your mind.
Whenever you would reach your close high, Sae byeok stopped, making you feel all the pleasure for what felt like hours. As if she was making up for the months you two weren’t together outside these games.  Your were quiet enough for the outside but loud enough for Sae byeok to hear every single sound you made.
Then, immersed in the moment you were finally reaching your climax. This time Sae byeok spared you of the constant edging and fastened her movements while looking into your eyes. “C’mon, baby,” she whispered, kissing your inner thighs. “Finish, for me.” your muscles were tensing up and when you reached your high you gritted your teeth.
Breathing out the remains of the moans, Sae byeok pulled her fingers out and stood up to kiss your forehead. “I missed you.” a smile grew on her face while staring at your breathless self.
Swallowing hard, you caught your breath as you came to your mind. Chuckling at her you pull her into another kiss— signaling you missed her too. At the moment it didn’t matter where you were or what danger waited outside those bathroom doors. For once, you allowed yourself to feel something other than fear — something real.
Her lips melted into yours again, this time a lot softer. Slower. Her hands stayed steady on your waist, like if she let go even a little, you’d vanish with the air. Sae-byeok didn’t speak. She just pressed her forehead against yours, closing her eyes as if hiding tears, or trying to hold herself back from whatever she might say next.

Buying Sex Toys with Sae-Byeok ♡ (smut!)
Tumblr media
GIRL READER! x Sae-Byeok (067)
Summary: You're going to a sex shop with Sae-Byeok and trying to find a strap that will suit you both. But with every glance at a new toy, her eyes become fixated on it, imagining how the events would play out, if this is what you brought home with you
i put my whole pussy into this i hope u enjoy<3
The endless rows of boxes of various sizes and colours sit below glass cases, displaying the product inside. The discreet packages aren’t designed to give everything away too soon. One must have the courage to be seen with the box in their hands, and to gently lift the flap, like the cover of a book, and look at the product inside the see-through plastic window. Much like books, it’s hard to lift the cover and not begin imagining the story that could unfold.
The privacy screens on the glass cases restrict the view of anyone not looking directly at it. To avoid confusion, Sae-Byeok walks directly behind you the entire time, with her hand on your shoulder, guiding you down the narrow, overstimulating, hallway that displays, what must be, every form of sex toy that has ever existed.
The two of you make your way down slowly, starting at the displays closest to the entrance of the store. Though not many people are inside, the uneasy feeling of being watched from people walking around the mall on the outside prompts you to try and follow the corridor down faster. Sae-Byeok on the other hand, doesn’t care, and doesn’t allow it.
“In a rush? Think you’re too good for the basics?”, she asks, and not as quietly as you’d like. She’s not looking at you, but the glass in front of the both of you. You look ahead at the dildos standing inside. They’re what one would imagine as a strap for lesbians. They’re flesh coloured, not majorly detailed, simple. Maybe something that a couple like you and Sae-Byeok should buy, to get started with. You’re ready to upgrade from mouths and hands, but not ready for anything crazy.
You look at the middle-sized dildo in the window. The vision of your girlfriend wearing this is a pleasant thought. It matches her skin, and it doesn’t look like it would be painful for you. You look up and over your shoulder at your girlfriend, whose focused gaze isn’t broken when you look at her. What could she be thinking?
She slowly slides the thick cock in your mouth. Your hands tremble, but stay exactly where instructed, on either side of her hips. She thrusts forward and back in a painstakingly slow and unpredictable rhythm, moaning and revelling in the way that your eyebrows turn more and more inwards with every move. With a particularly deep thrust, a shiver rushes up your back and makes you straighten, the little gasp you make vibrating through the fake cock that fills your mouth. Your hands gently protest, pushing her away instinctively as she hits the back of your throat. She does not like this.
She moves your hands from her hips to her ass. With one hand firmly planted on each cheek, pushing her away becomes impossible, the only move possible for you being to pull her even closer, and the cock even deeper. Exactly how she wants it. When you look up at her, she’s already looking down at you, sucking in her teeth at the view of the girth of her new dick filling your mouth and making its imprints on your cheeks. Suck in harder, she tells you. You obey without hesitation, sucking harder and getting an instant reaction from her, as though she can feel you. You hadn’t practiced breathing through your nose yet, and the faster that Sae-Byeok pushed her strap in you, the harder it was becoming to not choke. As though by magic, she reads your mind and slows down, pulling herself out of you, then back in, but slower. She runs her fingers through your hair. The affectionate act prompts you to let out a satisfied hum, grateful that she’s taking such good care of you. The feeling of her hand in your hair makes your thighs tingle, however, the warm feeling in your chest drops lower down your body when the big hand on your head gets tangled in your hair, and pulls you closer towards her crotch. The move wasn’t as loving as it seemed, and before you realise your lips are touching the cold metal buckles of her strap.
“Sae-Byeok?”, you ask. She blinks and looks down at you, no longer directly behind you, with her hand on your shoulder, but instead at least two feet to the right, with your whole arm extended to hold her hand. You’ve been analysing the prices of the products and telling her about them for the past several minutes, but your words seem to have fallen flat.
She gives one last startled glance at the products behind the glass in front of her, and then slowly takes the few steps necessary to be, once again standing behind you.
“Are you… okay?”, you quietly ask. “Do you want to leave?” She raises her eyebrows and quickly shakes her head ‘no’. You’ll keep the cost-benefit analysis to yourself.
After taking a brief look at the increasingly more expensive toys, you look up at the glass window behind which stand much bigger, purple dildos. The price tracks, these are much more realistic, they have veins, the ends of them are shaped and even a little slit is moulded in the tip of them. They seem a little intense to you, especially as the first purchase, but you’re open to the idea and certainly trust your girlfriend to make sure everything is pleasurable to you. As your gaze falls down to the black boxes at waist height, to look at the price options, Sae-Byeok, presumably unintentionally, pushes herself against your back. The curvature of your butt fits like a puzzle piece against her groin. You quickly glance to either side, and see that there is a couple where you stood a few minutes ago, but they are deep in conversation and likely don’t see Sae-Byeok pushing herself up against you… for some reason.
The veins on the purple dildo are life changing, and send electrifying pulses all over your body every single time that Sae-Byeok moves. The stretch of her new dick alone would be enough to send you cumming, but the ridges and tip of this purple beast all hit previously untouched territory inside of you. Your tits rub furiously against the table she bent you over, but the friction doesn’t hurt, or maybe it does? You wouldn’t notice either way. Sae-Byeok runs her hands down your arms, making them shiver, and pulls them together behind your back. You have no choice but to completely succumb to her every whim, going randomly faster before slowing down and focusing on deep, before speeding things back up and pulling all the way out of you just to slam it all back in. If someone heard the gasps that she forces out of you, they’d think you’re receiving the most shocking news of a lifetime. They wouldn’t know that you lie there motionless, feet barely touching the ground, while your girlfriend fills you to the brim. Sae-Byeok was taking complete care of you, your only job was to keep your head up and not bite your lip, and you were failing at both. “Bite your lip one more fucking time”, she spits out, using her hold on your arms to slam you towards her. Unfortunate, that she needed to keep telling you this. She continuously reiterates how desperate and whiny you sound, and how much she needs to her every bit of it. How dare you deny her of that!
She uses her free hand to slap it down on your ass, and thankfully for you, you managed to let your bottom lip free from your teeth just a millisecond before, allowing her the full pleasure of hearing your clear moan. She quietly curses at the sound and keeps her hand on your ass. She way that your pussy takes her dildo in its entirety allows for the perfect fit on your ass against her groin. The feeling and the sight is absolutely intoxicating her, and the light-headedness she feels from looking at you makes her indecisive. Hand on your shoulder, to push herself in deeper? On your ass, as a constant warning to not disobey her again? In your hair, tugging your head up every time you let it fall? She remains unsettled on all the equally fantastic options, and keeps her hand on your ass cheek, pulling it apart to watch as you swallow her purple cock whole.
Your unintentionally seductive groan seems to snap her back to reality much better than calling her name, despite it being a groan of annoyance. You let go of her hand seconds ago, and moved along without her. She stood there still as you looked further down the hallway, admiring the endless range of toys at your disposal, but dreading the hours it may take for the two of you to get through everything if Sae-Byeok continues at this pace. The way she rips her eyes away from the purple and veiny products looks like it hurt her. She sheepishly trots towards you, having to do so for several seconds before eventually getting to where you stand.
She returns to her position behind you, but to avoid any more mishaps like the previous mindless grinding she doesn’t even seem she was attempting, you lean your back against her chest. She wraps her arms around your waist and watches your reflection in the glass. You inspect the dildo. It’s the most expensive thing you’ve looked at thus far, but for good reason. It requires a special lube, that looks like cum? You can somehow stuff it inside, then when Sae-Byeok would fuck you, she would be able to release her load into you.
It’s unlike anything you’ve seen before, but it’s intriguing. As you inspect it, you notice Sae-Byeok is looking at you in the reflection. Not at the dildo behind the glass, but at you. You can see that the thoughts behind her eyes must be turbulent, whatever they may be.
You look in the mirror at Sae-Byeok’s hands grasping tightly under your knees. She’s strong; she holds your entire body weight in her arms, only dropping you occasionally… and rhythmically. She snaps her hips upwards, leaning back in the armchair, fucking the thick dildo upwards. You struggle resisting throwing your head back, and even with tears beginning to pool in your eyes, you just cannot stop looking in front of you at the reflection of your girlfriend. Even a meteor wouldn’t be able to break the dead locked gaze she has on the thick dildo disappearing inside of you.
Your moans become increasingly staggered as you reach closer to orgasm, whining and begging unidentifiably for something and simultaneously absolutely nothing. Not a thing that Sae-Byeok could do could make the fire burning in your pussy any hotter, you thought. In a last lazy attempt to stop your girlfriend’s potential edging tricks that could ensue, you almost break a sacred rule, and lift your hand from the armrest of the chair to try and speed up the impending climax. But you don’t make it even close to your tingly clit, before the glowing, electrifying heat spreads over your entire body, and you release. You both do.
With little idea how, and even less energy to find out, Sae-Byeok’s cock releases inside of you, the biggest load either of you have ever seen. The white cum pours out of you with every thrust, covering Sae-Byeok’s entire lap and sliding down her legs. The now ruined chair, covered slippery floor, nor itchy feeling of the lube dripping down her leg bothered her. Her sole focus was on you in the mirror. She slows down her thrusting, and lifts you off her. You lean back and lay against her chest, with your head on her shoulder and your cheek touching hers. You look identical to each other in that moment, both with sweat covering your upper lips, and with your mouths slightly agape, looking in the exact same spot in the mirror: at the white substance gushing out of you.
You’ve had enough of the trip. Sae-Byeok’s eyes continued to fixate on your reflection in the mirror, and no matter how many times you stick out of your tongue or smile at her, her serious expression never fades. You turn around and gently cup her face in your cold hands, waking her up.
“What do you think, baby? What should we get?”, you sweetly ask. There’s still rows and rows of other things that the two of you could play around with, but for now, what you’ve seen on this trip, feels sufficient to you. Sae-Byeok seemed a little more uncertain of being in here, so you let the final choice be hers. After a second of examining your face, your eyes, your lips, you’re finally graced with an answer.
“Whatever, as long as we buy it fast”

''BEST FRIENDS''
Summary: just a little chat with the quietest girl in the room.
Tumblr media
(Little disclaimer: English is not my native language, but I try my best, I promise).
.
.
You’ve had your eyes on her for a long time now. The tall, skinny, brunette girl who is sitting on her bed a few meters away from yours; you can feel her pain just by looking at her.
After several glances, she ends up turning her head to face you.
“What?”
You shake your head, still staring at her intensely, though.
“Nothing. Just watching you. You're pretty, you know that?”
Her face remains impassive and it takes her a few seconds to respond in a cold, flat tone of voice.
“Uh-uhm.. thanks?”
She awkwardly shifts her attention back to the empty space of air just in front of her; lost in her own thoughts again.
You get up from your bunk bed and walk over to hers to sit by her side. You bend your legs in a comfortable position while she pretends you're not shoulder to shoulder with her right now.
“So... why are you here? If you don't mind me asking.”
...
“...Debts.” She simply mutters as her eyes averting back to her lap. Her hands grip onto the edges of her tracksuit pants tightly. She does not like to talk about herself much, it seems.
“Debts,” you repeat, thoughtfully.
After a long moment of awkward silence, you rummage the pocket of your tracksuit jacket and take out a pack of cigarettes.
“You smoke?” You ask her, offering her one.
She takes the cigar and stares down at it for a moment, seeming to contemplate the decision.
“No. Never; but I guess I won't die from trying for once. It's not like I'll have time to get addicted anyway.”
You hand her the lighter after lighting yours first.
“You're always this optimistic, or did I catch you on a good day?” You tease her with a playful smirk.
She shrugs as she lights her cigar and next hands you the lighter back.
She coughs slightly at first, but manages to take a couple more of drags before set the cigar aside with a grimace. You can't help but let out a small chuckle.
“Do you have a name?” She asks, all of a sudden.
You take a long drag and lean against the white wall before answering her.
“Well... people used to call me Y/n, so I guess that's my name. And yours?”
“It's Sae-Byeok. Kang Sae-byeok.” She mutters.
“Well, Sae-Byeok, I'm so glad to meet you. I wish it had been somewhere else, though.”
You two remain silent for a long time again, one next to the other; but this time the silence doesn’t feel so uncomfortable as it felt before.
“You know... tonight is going to be a really tough night. I heard one of those assholes over there.” You point at a group of players a few meters away from you with your cigar. “They were planning a riot.”
She flicks over to look towards the direction of where you're indicating now. Her dark eyes narrow.
“Did you hear anything else?” Her face turns into a slight scowl. “Those men... they're dangerous.”
You shrug while yawning.
“Nop, but I guess they're planning to kill us one by one while we're asleep or something...” You speak carelessly.
Suddenly, your eyes light up and you look at her with a big smile.
“Hey, listen! Now that we're best friends, why don't we team up? You know, you watch my back and I watch yours. What do you think?”
She sighs, contemplating the offer for a moment. Finally, she nods.
“It'll be better then being alone, I suppose...” Sae-Byeok shrugs gently. “And don't call us 'best friends'.”
You giggle and nudge her gently. “Oh, but we are now! I mean, It's easier to survive if you're with someone, and I think we'd be great company for each other. Not you think?” You smirk.
Sae-Byeok sighs.
“I hate you already but, fine. I'm in.” She says.

se-mi / player 380 is the polar opposite of you. while you’re timid, she’s a very assertive woman who isn’t apprehensive about expressing herself.
if needed, she’d speak up or defend you from someone without a second thought. she often finds herself doing simple things like ordering your food for you or speaking for you in awkward social settings.
she finds your timidness cute at times, like when you shy away from her compliments.
“hey, you look pretty with your hair down.” “oh, thank you se-mi. it looks, like, average.” “be honest, you look stunning with it down. you should wear it like that more, pretty.”
the way she was able to fluster you every time will never get old to her. she loved to say flirty things for the hell of it, and to of course catch you off guard.
she has a habit of including you in whatever conversation she’s having, whether she realizes she’s doing it or not. it’s more of a subconscious doing of hers. though, she knows when and when to not drag you into discussions of hers.
she hates to see someone targeting you, especially if they know your shy personality. she steps in without a second thought to handle the situation for you.
sae-byeok / player 067 is alike to you in many ways. she never makes an effort to put herself out there unless completely necessary.
in social situations, she doesn’t mind stepping in and doing most of the communication for you.
she’s the first to defend you if someone tests you, because how dare someone come to you when they’re aware of your timidness? especially in her presence?
“hey, i got you. lemme know if they say something to you again.” “it’s fine. i can handle my own, sae-byeok.” “mhm. you better tell me.”
she coaxes you to keep to yourself rather than speak out. weirdly enough, she likes being the only person you trust enough to be vocal around. she likes the dependency.
no-eul / guard 011 doesn’t exactly lack courage or confidence, she just isn’t an outspoken woman. she keeps to herself most of the time, similar to you.
similar to se-mi, she likes to fluster you at every waking moment. she enjoys seeing the bashful look on your face whenever she constantly compliments you.
while she encourages you to speak up for yourself more often than not, she doesn’t mind stepping in for you.
“hey, defend yourself next time.” “i was planning to. you just.. beat me to it.” “whatever you say.”
she knows how you struggle to express yourself, but she teases you nonetheless. it’s all in good faith, though. she knows when you’ve reached your limits.
jun-hee / player 222 is similar to you in numerous ways. while she isn’t exactly timid, she doesn’t find herself speaking out in a lot of situations.
if it comes down to it, she’ll speak for you without a doubt. but if she knows you can handle your own, she’d leave you to it.
she frequently teases you for how bashful you are, as if she isn’t so similar to you.
“you’re so shy, so quiet.” “jun-hee, please shut up.” “oh, so she does speak?”
the two of you can often sit in silence for hours on end, basking in the presence of one another. you don’t speak many words because the solace between you two is more than enough.
she’s the perfect person to be around if you find serenity in quiet rather than deafening settings.
ji-yeong / player 240 is a bright difference from you. she’s very bubbly, outspoken, and animated.
you two look like an unlikely couple, like opposites that people wouldn’t expect to be together. but ji-yeong is adamant about the idea that opposites attract.
if needed, she can always speak up for you. as odd as it sounds, she enjoys speaking up for you when you’re in a non-verbal state.
“hey, want me to speak for you?” “ji-yeong, as much as i love you, i need to speak up for myself.” “okay.. but please take me up on my offer in the future.”
she feels a sort of protectiveness around you. given you’re her partner, but especially with your shy nature. it’s like a need to shield you from anything and anyone.
hyun-ju / player 120 is quite the contrast, as she was never really nervous or bashful. she asserts herself in most circumstances, unlike yourself.
she stands up for you without hesitation, mainly because she knows firsthand what it’s like to be belittled by others.
she’s been in so many situations in which others have degraded her so she knows how to deal with it easily.
“come to me if they say something else to you, yeah?” “of course. thank you so much, hyun-ju. i don’t know what i’d do without you.” “don’t mention it.”
even though it’s hard to believe, you’re able to fluster her rather than the other way around. any lovey-dovey thing you say has her gone.
she enjoys sitting in silence with you, just like jun-hee. comfortable tranquility with someone she cherishes cannot be beaten.

synopsis sae-byeok and cheol plan to pull off the perfect proposal.
genre pure fluff | requested by anon. | masterlist
Tumblr media
𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 past week, Sae-byeok had been acting… different. It wasn’t her usual quiet intensity, that calm, razor-sharp focus she wore like armor. No, this was something else entirely. Her edges, once so defined and steady, seemed to blur, like a blade dulled just enough to lose its edge. Her sharp, composed demeanor had softened in ways you couldn’t quite name, leaving behind a restless energy that didn’t belong to her.
You first noticed it when she began fidgeting—a habit so foreign to her that it nearly startled you. She’d tap her fingers rhythmically against the counter, the soft drumming barely audible but endlessly distracting. At other times, she’d pull at the hem of her shirt, twisting it between her fingers as if she was trying to ground herself. Her eyes, usually steady and direct, had developed a habit of darting around the room, like her thoughts were too restless to stay in one place.
Once in the middle of the night, you’d caught her pacing in the living room, something you’d never seen her do. She moved back and forth in measured steps like a pendulum, her brow creased with such fierce concentration that you almost didn’t want to interrupt. The sight was so strange it nearly made you laugh—until you saw the tightness in her jaw, the way her lips pressed into a thin, troubled line. Whatever was running through her mind, it wasn’t something trivial.
“Are you okay?” you asked tentatively from the doorway, watching her movements still like she’d been caught in the act of something secret.
She turned to you, and for a split second, her expression softened, as if the weight she carried had been lifted by the sound of your voice. But then she shook her head, flashing you one of those small, practiced smiles that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I’m fine,” she said, her voice steady but betraying the pursuit of the storm you’d glimpsed moments before.
But you weren't convinced. Her smile didn't reach her eyes, and her shoulders remained tense, like she was bracing herself for something. You didn't push her—knowing Sae-byeok wasn't the type to open up easily, and you didn't want to force her—but as the days passed, the distance between you began to grow.
At night, when you lay beside her, you'd stare at the ceiling, your thoughts racing at a speed you couldn't fathom.
Had you done something wrong? Had something changed between you? The idea clawed at your mind, a quiet, insidious voice whispering that maybe she didn't want to be here anymore. Maybe she wanted to leave.
The possibility terrified you. You tried to ignore it, to push it away and tell yourself you were overthinking. But every time you caught her fidgeting, every time she hesitated to touch you, every time her eyes darted away when you looked at her, the doubt crept back in. A hopeless feeling clawing at your insides as you started to feel the reprieve of your relationship—almost as if time rewinded and you had become the same girl in highschool taking baby steps to try and bring Sae-byeok out of her shell. You'd ask her if she was okay, and every time she'd give you the Same answer—a small practiced smile, paired with a steady "I'm fine."
But she wasn't fine. You could see it. Feel it.
And yet, you couldn't figure out what it was.
It reminded you of the moments before a storm, when the air itself feels alive. You could sense it, that crackling energy just beneath the surface, as if the universe were holding its breath before the first flash of lightning split the sky. And at the center of it all was Sae-byeok, holding a secret so tightly that it seemed to weigh down her every movement.
You wanted to ask her, to reach out and demand to know what was wrong, but something in her eyes stopped you every time. They weren’t distant, exactly. If anything, they felt too close, like she was looking at you with a depth of emotion that threatened to spill over at any moment. It wasn’t sadness, or even fear—it was something far more complicated, something you couldn't quite understand.
So you waited. You gave her space, trusting that when she was ready, she’d let you in. But even as you told yourself that, you couldn’t shake the sense that something big was coming. Something that would change everything, for better or for worse.
The truth was, Sae-byeok did have a secret—one she wasn’t ready to share with you yet. She had won the games. Victory, if you could even call it that, had come at an unbearable cost. The horrors she had endured haunted her in the quiet hours of the night, creeping in like shadows that refused to stay hidden. She carried the weight of it all silently, the memories an ever-present ache in the corners of her mind.
But amidst the darkness, there was something else: hope. The prize money, blood-stained as it was, had given her something she hadn’t dared to believe in—a chance. A chance to rebuild, to create a life not just for her and Cheol but for you, the person who had been her anchor when everything around her had fallen apart. You had been the light she clung to, the reason she kept putting one foot in front of the other when everything seemed hopeless. And now, with the means to finally give you the life you deserved, she was determined to take the next step.
It was why, one crisp morning while you were at work, Sae-byeok turned to the only other person she could trust—Cheol. The two of them sat in the cramped but cozy apartment you all shared, the sunlight streaming through the window in golden patches. Sae-byeok fidgeted with her hands, her fingers tightening and loosening around each other as she tried to find the right words. For someone who could stand unwavering in the face of life-or-death stakes, this moment felt impossibly daunting.
Finally, she took a deep breath and blurted it out. “I’m going to propose.”
Cheol froze mid-bite of his breakfast, his wide eyes snapping to her face. “You’re really going to marry her?” he asked, his voice teetering on the edge of disbelief before quickly shifting into pure, uncontainable excitement.
Sae-byeok’s ears burned with the heat of her blush, but she nodded, her lips curving into a small, almost shy smile. “Yeah,” she said, her voice soft but steady. Saying the words aloud made her chest tighten and her heart race, the weight of the moment settling over her. It felt real now—terrifyingly, thrillingly real.
Cheol’s reaction was immediate and electric. He practically exploded out of his chair, his grin so wide it seemed like it might split his face in two. “This is amazing!” he exclaimed, his excitement bubbling over as he bounced on the balls of his feet. “Do you have a ring? When are you going to do it? Can I help? Please tell me I can help!” The questions spilled from him in a rapid-fire stream, his youthful energy contagious.
Sae-byeok couldn’t help but laugh, the sound light and genuine in a way it hadn’t been in so long. His enthusiasm eased some of the tension that had been coiled tight in her chest all week. “I’m picking out the ring today,” she told him, her smile softening as she leaned forward slightly. “And yes, you can help. But you have to promise me—no hints, no clues. You can’t say a single word to her. Not one.”
Cheol straightened like a soldier receiving orders, his small hands balling into determined fists at his sides. “I won’t say anything! I swear!” he said earnestly, his eyes wide with sincerity. “Not a single word!”
The sight of his resolve made Sae-byeok chuckle again, her lips twitching with amusement despite herself. “Good,” she said, reaching out to ruffle his hair gently. “Because if you do, I’ll know.”
Cheol’s face lit up with excitement, and he immediately started rattling off ideas, his words tumbling over each other in a blur of enthusiasm. Sae-byeok listened with a fond smile, her nerves easing just a bit more. As they talked, something warm unfurled in her chest—a flicker of hope she hadn’t allowed herself to feel in far too long.
Cheol was practically vibrating with energy, his enthusiasm spilling out in a flurry of ideas. “What if you propose at her favorite spot?” he suggested, his eyes wide with inspiration. “Oh! Or maybe you can cook her a fancy dinner at home first—like a whole three-course thingy!” He paused, frowning as he added, “Well, okay, maybe I should help with that part. You’re not really a good cook, Noona.”
Sae-byeok snorted, rolling her eyes, but the corners of her lips twitched upward in a reluctant smile. “Thanks for the vote of confidence,” she said dryly, but her tone was light, even playful—a stark contrast to her usual guarded demeanor.
As the conversation continued, something began to shift inside her. With each new idea Cheol threw out, with every little plan they sketched together, a warmth she hadn’t felt in years began to take root. It was a quiet, fragile thing at first, like the faint glow of a candle in a dark room. But as the minutes ticked by, it grew stronger, brighter, filling her chest with a sensation she could barely recognize.
It was hope.
Hope had been a stranger to Sae-byeok for so long. Life had taught her to survive, not to dream, and she’d long since learned not to look too far ahead. The future had always felt distant and unreachable, like a mirage shimmering just out of grasp. But now, as she imagined slipping a ring onto your finger, as she pictured the look on your face when she asked you to be hers forever, the future felt closer. It wasn’t some vague, impossible dream that kept her up at night as the glow of the prize money remained her only light source and the smell of iron infiltrated her nose—it was something real, something she could hold in her hands.
Her gaze drifted to Cheol, who was grinning at her with an expression so full of excitement and love that it almost made her chest ache. He deserved this, too—a life where he could be a kid again, where he didn’t have to carry the weight of things no child should ever bear. And then her thoughts circled back to you, the one constant in her life who had shown her kindness even when she had nothing to offer in return.
It was you who had stayed by her side through everything, who had seen her pain and never turned away. You had given her a reason to believe, a reason to fight, even when she didn’t think she had it in her anymore. And now, here she was, planning a future with you—a future that entailed the three of you as a family.
When the day finally arrived, Sae-byeok woke before the first light of dawn, her nerves a live wire buzzing beneath her skin. She lay still for a moment, staring at the ceiling and trying to steady her breathing. Her mind replayed the words she had rehearsed countless times, but now, they felt heavier, more daunting. You were curled against her, your head resting on her shoulder, one hand splayed across her chest as though you couldn’t bear to let go of her even in the midst of sleep.
Your warmth against her side was comforting, grounding. It was mornings like this that reminded her of how far she’d come—of everything she had fought for. You were her safe place, the calm in the chaos, and today, she was going to make sure you knew that.
Finally, unable to resist the pull of her own thoughts, she turned her head to look at you. Her hand reached out, brushing a stray strand of hair from your face, her touch impossibly gentle. You stirred slightly, murmuring something incoherent, but didn’t wake. A soft smile tugged at her lips as she leaned in, pressing a feather-light kiss to your temple.
“Good morning,” she whispered, her voice barely audible, more to herself than to you.
You looked so peaceful in the soft glow of the morning light. Blinking awake slowly, your eyelids heavy with sleep. Once your gaze met hers, a small, sleepy smile curved your lips. “Morning,” you mumbled, your voice still thick with grogginess.
For a moment, the two of you simply stayed like that, your bodies tangled beneath the covers, the world outside still quiet and untouched by the bustle of the day. Sae-byeok’s hand found yours, her fingers intertwining with yours under the blanket.
“You’re up early,” you remarked softly, nuzzling closer to her.
“I couldn’t sleep,” she admitted, her thumb brushing over the back of your hand. For a moment, Sae-byeok hesitated, as though she wanted to say more, but instead, she shifted slightly, propping herself up on one elbow. “I thought we could do something today. Just the two of us—and Cheol. Maybe breakfast?”
Your eyes blinked open slowly, still wrapped in the haze of sleep, you gave her a drowsy, lopsided smile. “Breakfast?” you murmured, your voice thick with grogginess.
You raised an eyebrow, still half-asleep but intrigued. “What’s the occasion?”
She hesitated, her gaze flickering away for the briefest of moments before settling back on you. “No occasion,” she said, her voice soft but steady. “I just… wanted to spend the day with you.”
There was something in her tone, a quiet vulnerability that made your chest tighten. You didn’t press her, though. Instead, you smiled, your hand reaching up to cup her cheek. “Okay,” you said simply, your thumb brushing over her skin. “Let’s do it.”
Relieved, Sae-byeok leaned down to press another kiss to your forehead before slipping out of bed. “Come on,” she said softly, her lips curving into a gentle smile as she held out her hand to help you up. “I’ll help you get ready.”
You allowed her to pull you upright, still half-asleep but already warmed by the tenderness in her touch. Sae-byeok hadn’t been as openly affectionate as of recent—so, her sudden declarations of tenderness made you feel that something special was waiting just ahead.
In the bedroom, Sae-byeok opened your shared closet, her brow furrowed in thought. “Wear this,” she said finally, pulling out an outfit she loved to see on you—a soft knit cardigan and her favorite dress to see you in. “It’s comfortable but cute.”
You chuckled as you took it from her hands. “You’re picking out my clothes now?”
She shrugged, but the faint pink on her cheeks betrayed her flustered pride. “I just want you to feel comfortable,” she mumbled, turning her attention to picking her own outfit.
Before long, the two of you were helping each other get dressed. Sae-byeok smoothing out the small wrinkles in your dress and buttoning the ends of your cardigan with meticulous care, her hands lingering just a second longer than necessary. You teased her lightly about her perfectionism, but she only responded with a quiet smile, smoothing her hands down your arms before placing a gentle smack on your butt, “Can you make sure Cheol’s getting ready?” She softly asked, a smirk still tugging on her lips at your sudden flustered demeanor. You nodded, biting back a grin as you left your shared bedroom. A quiet “Thank you, pretty,” being heard as you made your way into the living room.
You found Cheol waiting by the front door, his excitement practically radiating off him as he bounced on his toes. The second he saw you, his face lit up. “Finally! I’ve been waiting forever. Let’s go—I’m starving!” he exclaimed, his voice filled with dramatic urgency that made you laugh.
Before you could say a word, Sae-byeok appeared behind you, her presence calm yet unshakable as always. The moment Cheol spotted her, his energy doubled. He grabbed both of your hands, practically dragging you toward the car once you put your shoes on. “Come on, slowpokes!” he urged, skipping ahead with a grin so wide it was infectious.
Cheol’s enthusiasm was like a small tornado, pulling you and Sae-byeok along as he bounced down the path. You could feel Sae-byeok’s soft chuckle against your shoulder as her arm looped around your waist, holding you close as you followed behind him. Her fingers gently pressed into your side, her touch grounding even amid Cheol’s whirlwind excitement.
“He’s gonna eat the whole menu at this rate,” you joked, glancing up at her.
“Wouldn’t be the first time,” she murmured, a faint smile tugging at her lips. The two of you shared a quiet laugh, her warmth pressed against you as Cheol skipped ahead, already chattering about what he was going to order.
The little café Sae-byeok had chosen was a charming spot tucked into a quiet corner of town. Morning light poured in through the windows, casting everything in warm, golden hues. The smell of fresh coffee and buttery pastries filled the air, and the soft hum of conversation made the space feel cozy and alive.
You slid into a booth by the window, stretching lazily as Sae-byeok sat across from you. Cheol plopped down beside her, his energy practically vibrating off of the seat as Sae-byeok sat quietly, fiddling with the edges of the menu to keep her hands busy.
“Do you want pancakes?” she asked suddenly, catching you off guard as you browsed the menu.
“I was thinking of getting an omelet,” you replied with a smile.
“Get pancakes too,” she urged softly, her gaze warm. “You deserve a treat—plus, you won't get full just off one omelet.”
You raised an eyebrow, amused by her unusually doting tone. “You’re really spoiling me today,” you teased.
Sae-byeok didn’t respond right away, her lips twitching in a small smile as she reached across the table to take your hand in hers. Her thumb brushed over your knuckles absentmindedly, a gesture so tender it made your chest tighten.
When the food arrived, Sae-byeok was quick to cut your pancakes into neat pieces, nudging the plate toward you before you could protest. “Here,” she said, her tone nonchalant, though her cheeks were faintly pink.
“You’re being awfully sweet,” you said, your voice teasing but soft.
She shrugged, avoiding your gaze. “You’re worth it,” she said simply.
Meanwhile, Cheol was trying—and failing—to hide his growing excitement. His legs swung under the table, and every few minutes, he’d glance at Sae-byeok with a grin that only grew wider as time went on. Further into the breakfast, she started to bounce her knee nervously under the table, her growing tension palpable.
Cheol, noticing, slightly leaning over to place his small hand firmly on her knee, whispering, “You’re gonna shake the table apart.”
Sae-byeok shot him a sharp look, but there was no real heat in it. Instead, she exhaled a slow breath and stilled her leg, muttering a quiet, “Thanks.”
As the meal went on, you couldn’t help but feel like there was something unspoken between the two of them. Sae-byeok kept casting you quick, almost shy glances, and Cheol seemed ready to burst with excitement. Still, whatever it was, they weren’t ready to share it just yet.
“Everything okay?” you asked Sae-byeok at one point, tilting your head curiously.
“Of course,” she said quickly, her voice steady, though her gaze lingered on your joined hands. “Just… thinking,” She murmured, her thumb softly grazing over your ring finger as if she was stuck in a daze.
Cheol snickered beside her, breaking her from her trance as she subtly elbowed him in the arm, Cheol’s grin only grew wider at the flush of Sae-Byeok’s cheeks.
The café hummed softly around you, the sunlight catching the edges of Sae-byeok’s dark hair as she smiled at you—small but genuine.
After breakfast, the three of you stepped out into the crisp morning air, the golden sunlight casting a soft glow over the quiet street. Sae-byeok lingered for a moment, her gaze shifting between you and the little shops nearby. There was something unusually tender in her expression as she turned to you, slipping her arm over your shoulder with an effortless familiarity.
“I was thinking,” she began, her voice quieter than usual. Her other hand slid into the pocket of her jeans, her fingers brushing the smooth velvet box hidden there. “You’ve been working so hard lately. You deserve a break.”
“A break?” you echoed, tilting your head in mild suspicion.
She nodded, motioning subtly toward a cozy nail salon just a few doors down. “Yeah. Go pick out a color you like,” she said, her lips curving into a rare, soft smile. “I already booked you an appointment.”
You blinked, caught off guard by the gesture. “You booked me an appointment?” you asked, the corners of your mouth lifting in a playful smile. “Are you sure there’s no special occasion?”
“No occasion,” she replied quickly—too quickly. Her arm gave a gentle squeeze around your shoulder as she nudged you toward the salon door. “Just thought you deserved something nice. Relax, enjoy yourself.”
Your curiosity deepened, but the sincerity in her eyes made your suspicion melt away. “This is… really sweet,” you murmured, your gaze lingering on her as if searching for some hidden clue.
Sae-byeok’s smile flickered for just a moment, her fingers still absentmindedly fiddling with the secret tucked in her pocket. “Just go,” she urged softly, her voice tinged with a nervous edge she couldn’t quite hide.
Before you could ask anything else, Cheol chimed in, practically bouncing on his toes. “Yeah, yeah, relax already! We’ll come back and get you after!”
Laughing softly, you gave Sae-byeok’s hand a squeeze before stepping inside. The warmth of the salon embraced you, the gentle hum of dryers and the faint, clean scent of nail polish instantly soothing your senses. As you sank into the plush chair, letting the world outside fade, your worried thoughts on why Sae-byeok had been so insistent—and so nervous, slowly drifted off as you succumbed to the warmth of the shop.
Meanwhile, Sae-byeok and Cheol were far from calm. The two of them wove through the bustling streets, the morning air alive with chatter and the occasional scent of roasted coffee from nearby vendors. Cheol, overflowed with energy, darting from shop to shop like an excited puppy. “Okay, what about—flowers! What kind does she like again, Noona? Oh! Should we get candles? Ohh, we need music, Noona—do you have a playlist?”
“Cheol,” Sae-byeok said, her voice low but steady, though a faint smile tugged at her lips. “It’s a proposal, not a wedding.”
Cheol spun on his heel to face her, arms thrown dramatically into the air. “Exactly! It’s the proposal! It has to be perfect!” His eyes gleamed with excitement, and for a moment, Sae-byeok wondered if he might actually combust from sheer enthusiasm.
His excitement was impossible to resist. Despite the knots in her stomach and the constant buzz of nerves just beneath her skin, Sae-byeok found herself laughing softly, shaking her head as she let him pull her into yet another store.
It was easier to focus on Cheol’s relentless chatter than to think too much about what was coming. Yet, no matter how much she tried to keep herself grounded, her mind kept wandering back to you. Her hands felt clammy, and every time the image of you—standing on the beach, looking at her with those eyes that always seemed to see right through her—flickered into her thoughts, her heart pounded so hard it felt like it might bruise her ribs.
Cheol interrupted her spiral with another wild idea, dragging her toward a display of fairy lights. “What if we set these up somewhere? Oh, or maybe we could put them in a jar—I saw my teacher do it one time.”
Sae-byeok sighed, though her voice held no real edge as she replied, “We’re not decorating for a festival, Cheol. It’s just… simple, okay?”
But he only grinned, unbothered by her attempt to rein him in. “Simple doesn’t mean boring! Come onnnn, a little extra never hurt anyone.”
Sae-byeok let out a breath, shaking her head again as a faint blush crept up her cheeks.
Cheol’s boundless optimism had a way of chipping through her stoic exterior, loosening the tension that had been coiling tighter with every passing hour. Still, the weight of the day pressed down on her, no matter how much she tried to let herself get swept up in his enthusiasm.
As they moved through another aisle, Sae-byeok’s fingers brushed against the velvet box hidden in her pocket. It was small, but it carried so much—the weight of her emotions, her fears, her hopes for the future. She pressed her thumb against the edge of the box, grounding herself in the reality of what she was about to do.
Cheol caught the movement and nudged her with his elbow, his grin softer this time. “Nervous, Noona?”
Sae-byeok shot him a sideways glance. “What do you think?”
“It’s okay,” he said, his tone unusually serious. “I don’t think you have to be…She loves you like mommy loved daddy…Which means she’s gonna say yes, I know it.”
His words struck something deep within her, and for a moment, she paused, her gaze drifting to the bustling street outside the shop window. You loved her—she knew that. But there was still that small, gnawing voice in the back of her mind that whispered doubts, planted seeds of what-ifs. What if she wasn’t enough? What if this moment wasn’t perfect enough, or her words stumbled, or—
Cheol grabbed her arm, yanking her back into the present. “Noona,” he said, his voice softer now. “This is gonna be a piece of cake, don’t worry…” He assured her, his hand falling from her arm to squeeze her hand.
She let out a shaky breath, nodding. “You’re right,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
“I know.” Cheol grinned, holding up a small jar of the fairy lights he’d been obsessing over. “Now, please can we get these and go back. You’ve got a proposal to crush, and I've got to make a beach look really romantic.”
Sae-byeok couldn’t help the small laugh that escaped her. With Cheol at her side, the moment felt a little less daunting, a little more real. As they stepped out of the store, the late afternoon sunlight warming their faces as she tightened her grip on the box in her pocket.
By the time Sae-byeok and Cheol returned to pick you up, the sun was beginning its slow descent, draping the city in warm, golden light. Long rays danced across the car’s hood, catching the edges of Sae-byeok’s face as she stepped out, her expression unreadable but laced with an undeniable tension. She opened your door for you, her lips curling into a faint smile as her dark eyes met yours.
“I have one more place I want to take you,” she said softly, her voice low and steady but carrying a note of something deeper—something that made your heart skip a beat.
Her gaze lingered on yours, as if she were trying to convey something words couldn’t quite reach. The vulnerability hidden in those sharp, steady eyes sent a shiver down your spine, leaving you both curious and a little breathless. You nodded, your trust in her outweighing the rising questions in your mind.
Once inside the car, Sae-byeok slid into the driver’s seat, her movements purposeful but tinged with a subtle nervousness. Her left hand gripped the steering wheel tightly, her knuckles pale, while her right hand found its way to your thigh. The warmth of her palm was grounding, her thumb brushing soft, absentminded strokes against the fabric of your dress. Cheol sat in the back, practically buzzing with energy.
He fidgeted endlessly, unable to sit still as his grin stretched so wide it seemed to consume his whole face. Every now and then, you caught his eyes flicking to the rearview mirror, the glimmer of excitement in them barely concealed. You raised a questioning brow at him, but he only shrugged and looked out the window, his lips twitching with suppressed laughter.
The drive was quiet, filled only with the soft hum of the engine and the faint sound of a radio station playing in the background. Sae-byeok’s focus remained on the road ahead, her thumb tapping lightly against the wheel in a rhythm that didn’t match the music. The tension in her posture was palpable, her jaw set but her brows pinched ever so slightly.
Your gaze shifted to the passing scenery, though you couldn’t shake the gnawing feeling in your chest. The quiet between you wasn’t uncomfortable, but it was heavy, charged with an energy that made you grip the seatbelt a little tighter.
When the car finally rolled to a stop, your breath caught in your throat. The sight before you stole the words from your lips.
The beach stretched out like a serene, untouched canvas, the sand glimmering faintly in the waning light. Waves rolled lazily to shore, their soft, rhythmic crashes the only sound against the hush of the evening. The sun hung low, spilling streaks of amber, rose, and lavender across the horizon, the colors blending seamlessly into the gentle sky. Its reflection danced on the waves, glimmering like molten gold scattered across the water.
When the car rolled to a stop near the edge of the beach parking lot, Sae-byeok turned off the engine and exhaled slowly, her hand still resting on your thigh. She glanced at you, her lips twitching into a soft, almost shy smile before she looked away.
“We’ll be right back,” she said, her voice calm but carrying an edge of nervousness. “Stay here for a little bit.”
Your brows furrowed in curiosity. “Where are you going?”
Cheol piped up before Sae-byeok could answer, his grin as wide as ever. “We need to check something out really quick. Don’t worry, no secrets!” he said, his tone overly casual, though the excitement dancing in his eyes was anything but subtle.
You gave Sae-byeok a skeptical look, but she just smiled softly and squeezed your hand. “We won’t be long. Promise.”
With that, the two of them stepped out of the car, closing the doors quietly behind them. You watched as they made their way to the trunk, quiet whispers shared as they hauled multiple bags over their shoulders and tread toward the shoreline, Cheol practically bouncing alongside his sister. Sae-byeok glanced back once, her dark eyes meeting yours through the glass before she turned away, disappearing down the beach path.
Alone in the car, you tried to piece together what they were up to. The way Cheol had been practically vibrating with excitement all day, paired with Sae-byeok’s uncharacteristic nervousness, left you more curious than ever.
Meanwhile, down at the beach, Sae-byeok and Cheol worked quickly, their earlier planning finally coming to life. Sae-byeok carried a small bag slung over her shoulder, its contents carefully chosen and packed earlier that morning. Cheol, as usual, was full of energy, darting ahead to scout out the perfect spot.
“Here!” he called, pointing to a secluded patch of sand nestled between two gentle dunes. The waves lapped softly just a few feet away, and the setting sun painted the spot in hues of amber and rose.
Sae-byeok nodded, setting the bag down and pulling out a small blanket. Together, they spread it over the sand, smoothing out the edges before Cheol began pulling out the other items: jars filled with strings of delicate fairy lights that were powered by a small battery pack, a handful of candles protected by glass holders, and a small bouquet of wildflowers wrapped in twine.
“Do you think it’s too much?” Sae-byeok asked, her voice low as she adjusted the candles, her hands moving with a nervous precision.
Cheol looked up from arranging the fairy lights, his grin unwavering. “No way. I think she’s gonna love it.”
Sae-byeok paused, her fingers lingering on the bouquet. Her heart was racing, her nerves catching up to her despite her outward calm. She glanced at Cheol, who was now testing the lights, his face glowing with excitement.
“You sure?” she asked, her voice quieter now.
Cheol stopped what he was doing and rested a hand on her shoulder. “I’m sure,” he said, his tone surprisingly serious. “You got this, Noona”
Sae-byeok nodded, her lips pressing into a thin line as she exhaled deeply. “Okay,” she murmured, more to herself than to him.
They finished setting up just as the sun continued to dip closer to the horizon, casting the beach in it’s soft sunset glow. The fairy lights sparkled faintly in the fading light, the candles flickering gently as the ocean breeze swept through.
Stepping back to admire their work, Cheol clapped his hands together with a satisfied grin. “Okay, it’s perfect! Now go and get her!”
Sae-byeok shot him a small, grateful smile before turning and making her way back to the car. Her hands were clammy, her heart thundering in her chest, but she pushed it all aside. This was for you.
When she reached the car, she opened your door and extended her hand. “Come on,” she said softly, her voice steady but her gaze intense. “There’s something I want to show you.”
The weight in her tone sent your pulse racing, but you took her hand without hesitation, letting her guide you toward the beach. Behind you, Cheol followed at a respectable distance, a knowing grin plastered across his face.
As you reached the top of the dunes, your breath caught at the sight below. The soft glow of the candles and fairy lights danced against the golden sand, the waves glimmering in the last light of the setting sun. The blanket, the flowers, the way everything seemed so carefully placed—it all felt like a dream.
You turned to Sae-byeok, your lips parting to speak, but the words caught in your throat as she stepped closer, her fingers lacing through yours. Her dark eyes searched yours, steady but filled with an emotion so deep it made your chest tighten.
“I’ve been waiting for the right moment,” she began, her voice barely above a whisper, “to show you how much you mean to me.”
The trembling in Sae-byeok’s hand was subtle but unmistakable, a rare crack in her carefully composed demeanor that sent a rush of warmth through you. Vulnerability wasn’t something she wore often, and seeing it now made your heart ache with both tenderness and anticipation. She guided you down the gentle slope of the dunes, the soft glow of the fairy lights and flickering candles drawing you into a scene that felt almost otherworldly. The quiet rhythm of the waves filled the air, wrapping the moment in a serene, almost sacred stillness.
She stopped just shy of the blanket, her hand still holding yours, her fingers tightening ever so slightly as if drawing strength from your touch. For a moment, she stood there, her gaze fixed on the horizon where the sun dipped lower, painting the sky in a palette of amber and lavender. Then, she took a deep breath, her shoulders rising and falling in time with the steady crash of the surf.
“Do you remember the first time we came here?” she asked, her voice low, steady, yet carrying a weight that made the words linger in the air.
Your lips curved into a soft smile at the memory, your mind drifting back to a simpler time—a time when the world felt less heavy, though no less meaningful. You nodded, your eyes meeting hers, and the quiet understanding between you filled the space where words weren’t needed.
“That day,” she continued, her gaze softening, “it felt like everything stopped for a moment. The world, the noise, all of it… it was just you and me. I didn’t realize it then, but… that was the first time I felt like I could breathe again. Like I wasn’t just surviving anymore.”
Her eyes searched yours, and there was something in them—something raw and unguarded—that made your breath catch. “It was here,” she said, her voice dipping lower, “that I realized… you’re my home. No matter what’s happened, no matter where I go, my heart leads back to you."
The sheer honesty in her voice hit you like a wave, your chest tightening as emotion welled up inside you. Her words weren’t just a declaration—they were a promise, a truth she had carried with her through every storm.
You opened your mouth to respond, your heart so full it felt as though it might burst, but before you could speak, Sae-byeok’s free hand moved toward her pocket. The movement was slow, deliberate, and you could see the faintest tremor in her fingers as she slipped them inside.
Time seemed to slow as she pulled something small and delicate from her pocket, her dark eyes never leaving yours. The moment felt like it existed outside of time, suspended between the steady crash of the waves and the warm glow of the fading sun.
Your breath hitched as she gracefully dropped to one knee, the motion so deliberate, so unexpected, that it stole the air from your lungs and every word from your lips. There she was, kneeling in the sand, her dark hair catching the last golden hues of the setting sun. The sight of her—strong yet vulnerable, steady yet trembling—etched itself into your memory.
From her pocket, she pulled out a small velvet box, and as she opened it, the glint of the ring inside caught the fading light. It was simple yet breathtaking, its understated elegance mirroring everything about Sae-byeok: unadorned but profound, quiet but capable of stealing your heart.
Her gaze locked onto yours, unwavering despite the faint tremor in her hands. “I’ve spent my whole life searching,” she began, her voice steady but laced with emotion. “For something… someone to fight for. And it’s you. It’s always been you.”
The words hung in the air between you, fragile yet unbreakable, as if she’d just given you the most sacred piece of herself. Her voice softened, her eyes never leaving yours as she whispered, “Will you marry me?”
Tears blurred your vision, the world around you melting into soft hues of amber and rose, the only thing clear being the woman before you—the woman you loved more than you thought possible. The words tangled in your throat, caught between overwhelming joy and the sheer magnitude of what this moment meant. Instead, you nodded first, a shaky, fervent motion before finally finding your voice.
“Yes,” you whispered, your voice cracking with emotion. Then louder, as if the universe itself needed to hear it. “Yes!”
Relief and joy flooded Sae-byeok’s face, her lips curving into the softest smile you’d ever seen as she slipped the ring onto your finger. It fit perfectly, like it had always been meant to be there. Standing, she pulled you into her arms, holding you so tightly it felt as though she was trying to memorize every part of you, to make this moment last forever. Her embrace was warm, strong, and unshakable, and for a moment, the entire world seemed to shrink down to just the two of you.
From a few steps away, the sound of a loud cheer shattered the quiet intimacy of the moment. “Finally!” Cheol hollered, practically jumping in place. “I thought I was going to explode keeping this secret!”
You laughed through your tears, the sheer happiness of the moment spilling over as Sae-byeok shook her head in mock exasperation. Cheol darted over, grinning from ear to ear as he proclaimed, “Okay, now I’m officially the wedding planner. No arguments!”
The rest of the evening unfolded like a dream, each moment saturated with joy. Cheol couldn’t stop teasing you both, his endless enthusiasm drawing soft chuckles and affectionate glances from Sae-byeok, who seemed lighter than she had in weeks. The tension she’d carried with her had melted away, replaced by a quiet confidence as her fingers intertwined with yours.
As the three of you strolled along the shoreline, the waves brushed gently against your feet, the ocean stretching out endlessly before you. Overhead, the sky had deepened into a canvas of indigo and violet, the first stars twinkling faintly in the distance. You glanced over at Sae-byeok, her profile softened by the moonlight, as you felt your heart swell.
She had won more than a game. She had won her future—a future she had fought for, bled for, and had chosen to share with you.

MI-NA
“I want to see you first,” Mi-na whispered.
She pulled your shirt over your head, leaving you only in your bra. When she had unclasped your bra as well, her eyes widened when she looked at your bare chest, seeing your nipple piercings.
She touched your nipples, twirling the piercing with her finger, smirk spreading on her lips.
“If I had known you had these I would have taken your shirt off on the first night,” she whispered, biting her lower lip.
You put your fingers under her waistband, yanking her green pants on the floor, leaving her to stand there only in her pink thongs. You had guessed she put effort in her underwear, but god damn it turned you on more than you were prepared to. One thing you were glad for the people running these games was that they didn’t change your underwear to different ones — they weren’t that much of perverts, thankfully.
“Careful, they were expensive,” she whispered, imagining already how you could rip them apart.
You pulled them off with your thumbs, letting the gravity to drop them on the floor by her ankles, then tossing them aside. You fell on your knees in front of her, and she admired you above you.
She didn’t hesitate a second longer, lifting her leg over your shoulder and pulling you closer.
You grabbed her thighs, burying your face between her legs. You licked her clit, only slightly, and already managed to make her tense under your touch. You guided your tongue along her wet folds.
She moaned as loud as she wanted and needed, not holding back at all. She didn’t care who would hear her, the only person that mattered to her right now was you and she wanted you to hear how good you managed to make her feel.
“Oh god, yes, right there,” she gasped as you curled your fingers in just the correct way. “Keep it there.”
You rubbed your fingers against that same spot, making her shutter under your touch.
You kept doing the same motions over and over again, and sooner than you expected, she reached her climax, her hands pressing your head harder against her. She let herself moan and scream herself through the orgasm.
When she was done, she grabbed your neck to pull you up and crashed her lips on yours, testing what she tasted like on your lips. She brought her hand to massage your breast, twirling the piercing with her finger again. God, she loved those piercings.
“Sit down,” she whispered, pushing you to sit on the toilet seat by her hand on your shoulder.
You sat down, grabbing the toilet seat in your hands and spreading your legs wide to give a good view for Mi-na who was on her knees in front of you. She traced her fingers along your thighs, giving you goosebumps. She started planting gentle kisses along your inner thigh until she reached your pussy.
She lifted her head to look into your eyes, a serious look in them. “Be as loud as you can for me, okay?” she said quietly. “Don’t hold back, I want to hear how much you enjoy my touch.”
She started massaging your clit with her thumb, then slowly inserting two fingers inside you. She was slow at first, gently exploring you as deep as she could, every spot until she’d find the correct spot which drove you insane.
You put automatically your hand against your lips to muffle the gasps and moans coming out of your mouth, embarrassed that someone outside would hear you. Mi-na noticed it and instantly stopped, making you glare at her, annoyed.
“What did I tell you?” she asked seriously, her hands having a tight grip on your thighs. “Don’t hold back. Let it out.”
Mi-na started licking and sucking your clit and wet folds, rolling her tongue hard against your clit until she moved to push her tongue inside your vagina, completely eating you out.
You didn’t notice it from your point of view but Mi-na used her free hand to roll her finger against her own clit as well, but making sure she’d concentrate on pleasuring you the most.
You had slept with a few different women but Mi-na was by far the most experienced and considerate of them all.
You heard someone coming inside the bathroom and turning the sink on, starting to wash their hands. Just then, a loud gasp left your lips, your hand gripping Mi-na’s ponytail. You didn’t want her to stop, so you tried not to care about any people on the other side of the stall. You would have been embarrassed of others hearing you during sex but right now you’d rather embarrass yourself than have Mi-na stop whatever she was doing to you.
You were reaching your climax, pleasure waving through your body. Mi-na didn’t stop until you would fall silent, having gone through your entire orgasm.
She got back up and sat on your lap, legs on both sides of your body. She hadn’t put her thongs back on yet, so you could feel her own cum dripping on your thigh.
“Was it good?” she asked, holding your chin with her delicate finger.
“I think you heard enough,” you chuckled.
Mi-na pulled you into one more kiss until letting go of you, pulling you up with her.
Mi-na was about to pick up her thongs from the floor but you managed to snatch it into your hand first. She looked at you with a puzzled expression on her face.
“I think I’ll keep these.”
“Yeah? As your lucky charm in tomorrow’s game, hm?” she asked with a smirk, crossing her arms.
“Perhaps.”

SAE-BYEOK
Sae-byeok grabbed you by your elbow, leading you towards the bathroom. She was walking so fast it was hard to keep up with her pace.
She pushed you against the sink with her body, brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear to see your face entirely.
“I noticed you last night in your bed, you know,” she smirked. “Couldn’t sleep either, huh?”
Your cheeks started warming up a little, no matter how hard you tried to keep a pokerface when looking into her eyes.
“Yeah? What was I doing then?” you challenged, though your voice trembled slightly.
“Want me to show you?” She bit her lip.
Her face was so close to you that the tip of your noses were touching each other, but only barely, and you could feel her hot breath on your mouth. She seemed a little hesitant and so did you, both of you wondering which one would make the move first.
She laid her hand against your stomach, playing with the waistband of your pants, her touch sending chills through your stomach. She pushed her hand under your pants, painfully slowly, and started to gently touch you through your underwear. You could see her smirk when she felt the wet fabric against her fingertips.
Then, the bathroom’s door opened, a girl walking inside. She looked at the two of you, and you turned to look back at her. Her eyes widened and cheeks turned pink when she noticed the position you were in with Sae-byeok and hurried to one of the stalls.
Sae-byeok took your hand in hers and lead you into one of the stalls without another word, locking the door behind you. She backed you against the wall, her body against yours when she took your face in her hands, taking you into a hungry kiss. It startled you a little but it didn’t take you even a second to kiss her back.
“Fuck me,” you mumbled when she pulled her head back. She still had her hand on your cheek, the other resting on your hip, and a smug smirk spread on her face for your words.
“You sure about that?” she asked, lowering her voice into a mere whisper? “Beg for it.”
“Please,” you gritted between your teeth, more desperate for her touch than you had anticipated at first.
She slid her hand inside your pants again, not taking them off, but this time also under your panties. She massaged your clit, first gently and then adding more pressure, making you let out a gasp.
“You want more?” she smirked, lifting her left eyebrow.
“Mhm,” you managed to mumble, biting your lip to keep yourself quiet.
“Beg for it.”
“Please, I need you,” you whispered, looking into her dark eyes which were now filled with lust.
Soon she pushed two fingers inside your vagina, making you slam your hand against your mouth to muffle a moan, not wanting anyone else in the bathroom to hear you.
“God, you’re wet,” she said quietly, a smug smirk on her lips.
She was looking at your face every second she was touching you while you moved your gaze on the ceiling, leaning your head against the stall. She curled and scissored her fingers inside you for a while, until took them out, making you give her an angry glare, which only amused her.
She took your hands into hers, taking a hair tie from your wrist, then pulling her black hair into a short ponytail.
She put her hands on your hips, pulling your pants and underwear down in one move. She kneeled down in front of you, throwing your left leg over her shoulder.
Sooner than you expected, her mouth was against your pussy, sucking your clit and pushed two fingers inside you again.
Suddenly, you heard someone go to the stall next to yours, making you instantly shut up. Sae-byeok stopped for a second to look up into your eyes and stood up.
You thought she was finished with you but she pressed her lips on yours, taking you into a forceful kiss to keep you quiet and inserted his fingers inside you again, pushing them roughly in and out. She hadn’t wiped her mouth when she took you into a kiss, making you taste yourself on her lips.
When someone flushed the toilet, you let yourself to let out a quick moan out of your mouth which you had been holding back, hoping the flush would muffle it atleast a little bit, but it probably didn’t enough.
You started reaching your climax, grabbing her tighter, your nails digging into her skin through the fabric of her shirt. You buried your face against the crook of her neck, trying to muffle the moans and screams coming out of your mouth against her skin.
“Good girl,” she whispered into your ear, her breath sending chills down your spine.
You were about to put your hands on her hips to return the favor but she stopped you.
“If we survive the game tomorrow, we’ll have a second round then,” she whispered, lifting your face by her finger under your chin.
☆♡☆
SE-MI
You ran into an empty room with Se-mi during Mingle, holding her hand like you were afraid of her tripping on her feet or some other reason why she wouldn’t make it in time with you into the room.
When the door was locked, you pushed Se-mi against the wall.
“Am I the only one who thinks there’s something here, between us, or do I only imagine it?” you asked, lifting your left eyebrow, your hands hovering over her waist. “If you want me to back off, just tell me.”
She swallowed, glancing at your lips and then back into your eyes. Then, she pulled you into a kiss, you responding to it immediately.
When your tongues touched properly for the first time, you felt a cold metal ball roll against your tongue. You should have guessed that she had a tongue piercing.
“Isn’t there like, cameras here or something?” Se-mi asked, interrupting the kiss, when you lifted her leg over your waist.
“Let them watch two girls making out for a minute,” you smirked, pressing your smile against her lips.
She moved her hand under your shirt, brushing her hand against your bare back.
When the door was unlocked, Se-mi didn’t immediately let go of you, keeping you close against her by the collar of your shirt, needing you as close to her as possible.
“Player 380 and player 280, it’s time to go,” a pink guard commanded with a robotic voice, forcing you to separate from each other. Se-mi cleared her throat and awkwardly walked past the guard, but you looked at the guard with a grin on your face.
After the voting, you grabbed Se-mi’s hand and walked with her towards the bathroom faster than how you normally walked.
When you had closed and locked the stall’s door, Se-mi had her hands on your waist before you had time to react and pushed you to sit on the toilet. She sat on your lap, legs over both of your thighs, grinding her hips against you as hard as she could.
Your hands were on her hips, pulling her even harder against you. She was holding your cheeks in her hands as she kissed you. Her fingers soon moved into your hair, making a mess of your sleek ponytail.
You squeezed her thighs in your hands, making her gasp enough for you to sneak your tongue deeper inside her mouth.
She moved her hands away, taking your jacket off and throwing it on the floor, taking hers off as well.
“What do you want me to do to you, hm?” you whispered. “Tell me how I can please you.”
She took your hand and slid it under her pants, guiding your fingers against her already wet folds. She let out a sigh and threw her head back as you started massaging her clit, holding your shoulders for support.
You slid the tip of your finger inside her pussy, massaging the wet entrance until starting to slowly pump your finger in and out of her, the reactions from her making you wet as well. You had the need to press your thighs together to somewhat relief the need, but you couldn’t do that since she was on your lap.
Then, someone walked inside the bathroom as well. Se-mi’s eyes grew wider, and she had to swallow the moan about to come out of her mouth back down her throat, not wanting to get caught. You only smirked, not caring if anyone heard the two of you, and curled your fingers in the way you had noticed to make her go feral.
You pulled her into a kiss to muffle her moans, your tongue exploring every corner of her mouth, while keeping your other hand inside her cunt, fastening the pace even more.
“O-oh my god,” Se-mi mumbled, closing her eyes tighter and knitting her eyebrows together. “Right there, oh god.”
It didn’t take much longer anymore until you felt her come on your fingers, letting out a loud moan while the orgasm waved through her body, at this point not caring if someone was out there to hear. It was just what she had needed during the games of life or death. She hadn’t had sex in a while, and god how you knew what you were doing to her.
Finally, Se-mi made eye contact with you again, taking a deep breath into her lungs.
“I wish you would have done that after the first game already,” Se-mi panted, holding your face in her hands.
“You could have just asked and this could have been our third time already,” you replied, a coy smirk lingering on your face. You enjoyed more than anything to give pleasure to a woman, it was one of the things you were really good at and could do as many times as you would physically be able to do.
“Your turn,” Se-mi whispered, smirk spreading on her face as well as she got up and pulled you with her to stand next to her.
She looked you directly into your eyes as she backed you against the wall with her body. She played with the waistband of your pants, fingers brushing your hip bones.
“When was the last time a girl ate you out?” Se-mi murmured, pupils dilated.
“Hm, probably a few weeks ago,” you answered and shrugged, your entire body turned on and filled with lust, the ache between your legs needing a relief more than ever before.
Se-mi kneeled down in front of you, pulling your pants down to your ankles at the same time, leaving you only on your thongs.
She looked up towards your eyes while already caressing your pussy through the fabric, another grin spreading on her face.
“I wouldn’t have thought of you being a girl to wear thongs,” Se-mi smirked, fingers around them.
“Well, I guess there’s a lot of this about me you still have to uncover,” you stated and cocked your left eyebrow, a seductive smile on your face.
“Is that so?” Se-mi asked, lifting her eyebrow, already thinking what else you had been hiding from her. “I’ll take that as a challenge, then.”
Se-mi pulled your thongs down with one swift move, making them land on your feet with your pants and revealing your pussy that needed to be relieved soon or you might explode.
Se-mi grabbed your leg, motioning you to lift it up and swung it over her shoulder to gain better access to your dripping cunt.
She dug her fingers into your thighs as she brought her face between your legs, tongue sliding against your pussy, starting from the back and ending on your clit.
You bit your lip to swallow down a moan, hearing someone washing their hands outside, the faucet being on. While pleasuring Se-mi, you had been fine on any sort of sounds leaving this stall, but now that it was you receiving the pleasure, you wanted to keep quiet more than anything else.
Without any warning, two fingers pushed their way into your aching pussy. You had been craving so badly to be filled by someone or something other than your own fingers, the feeling stronger now that you had finally achieved it.
You let your head fall back and hit against the stall. You put your hands on both sides of Se-mi’s head, fingers brushing through her dark hair and massaging her scalp as you pushed her head harder against you. Her nose pressed against your clit as she continued eating you up.
Finally, you came harder than you had in a long time, letting out a scream as the pleasure waved through your body, legs shaking. If Se-mi wasn’t there to keep you up by her hands holding your thighs, you would have definitely collapsed on the floor. You slammed your hand against the stall, wishing so badly that there was nobody on the other side.
When Se-mi sensed that she had done her job and your orgasm had faded away, she stood up and cupped your face into her hands.
“Now, how was that?” Se-mi murmured, looking into your eyes which made butterflies swarm inside your stomach.
“You want a rating for that, huh?” you asked grinning.
There was still cum on her lips, so you were fast to lick the corners of her mouth clean.
“Sleep in my bed tonight?” Se-mi asked, seeming a little shy of her request but never once breaking eye contact with you.
A smile spread on your face.
“You don’t have to ask.”

a/n: i would like to give a special thank you to @lumillsie for the layout of this post and for the filter used on the header! please be sure to check out their profile for squid game fanfictions, they have helped me with my works and their writing is perfection! 🤍
Tumblr media
˚ ༘♡ the rain cascaded in a relentless downpour, burying the world in its somber rhythm. you stood motionless, soaked to the bone, your tattered black satin gown clinging to your pallid skin, pearls glinting faintly in the dim moonlight. across from you stood cho sang-woo, his tailored suit stained with smears of blood that had long since dried, a stark contrast to the high-class reputation he once upheld. there had been a time when the sight of him would have filled you with affection, a time when you had imagined him as your husband, the man you would spent all of eternity with.
˚ ༘♡ the man before you now bore no resemblance to the one you had loved so deeply. where once there had been kindness, there was now a malicious cruelty. the charm that had drawn you in, the quiet strength and righteous honesty, had been nothing more than a facade. before the games, your lives had seemed perfect, lavish dinners at exclusive steakhouses, extravagant shopping trips, the allure of wealth. yet it was never the riches that held your heart. you had loved him for the moments of vulnerability, the whispered dreams during midnight strolls, the promises of a future built on trust. now, those memories felt like lies, twisted shadows of a man who no longer existed.
˚ ༘♡ his grip on the knife was steady, the same blade he had used to take sae-byeok’s life. you could still see her fragile form laid on the ground, blood swarming under her stiff body as her she weakly murmured her little brother’s name. she had begged for another chance to see him again, her eyes glazed with fear and dread, only to be silenced in a merciless slashing. that moment was etched into your soul, an infested wound that refused to heal. you had pleaded with gi-hun to spare sang-woo when the opportunity arose, your love for him, a ghost of what it once was, still clinging to the hope that he could be saved. however, sparing him had been a mistake.
˚ ༘♡ sang-woo had demonstrated no remorse. he had turned his blade on gi-hun after being confronted for sae-byeok’s murder, killing his childhood best friend with little hesitation, leaving you as the only two left to face the end. now, as the rain fell in endless torrents, you stood in the storm’s heart, the past unraveling between you. the love you had once cherished lay shattered at your feet, replaced by a chasm of betrayal and regret.
˚ ༘♡ “sang-woo,” you called out, your voice steady despite the quivering in your limbs. your gaze locked onto his, and slowly, deliberately, you let the knife slip from your grasp. it landed in the rain-soaked sand with a muted thud, quickly swallowed by the muck. droplets cascaded down your face, obscuring your vision, but you didn’t look away. “you’ve killed so many,” you said, your voice carrying over the storm, though faint and muffled. “innocent strangers, people who trusted you, those who loved you. i’m no different.”
˚ ༘♡ his jaw clenched as his face contorted with rage. “pick up the damn knife!” he shouted, his voice raw and jagged. his body shook, a mix of fury and something more fragile, a deep, unspoken torment etched into his expression. his eyes betrayed him, scorned and sorrowful.
˚ ༘♡ “i will not,” you replied softly, your soaked hair sticking to your melancholic face. “i won’t fight you. i can’t.” your breathing troubled as you continued, words tumbling out between the harsh pouring of the rain. “even if i won… what would it matter? what’s left for me to go back to? the money won’t mend this. it can’t rid what’s been done, the people we’ve lost, the pieces of ourselves we’ll never get back.”
˚ ༘♡ for a split second, his grip on the knife loosened, his fingers moving as though fighting an internal war, but just as quickly, they tightened. blood trailed down the cut across his face, mingling with the rain, streaking his skin with crimson. “damn it!” he barked, his chest rising and falling in uneven breaths. “stop being so difficult and come here! let’s finish this!”
˚ ༘♡ “no, sang-woo,” you said firmly, taking a step toward him, unarmed, your hands open at your sides. “if the money is all you care about, if you’re so desperate to go back and see your mother, to undo all your mistakes, to lead the life you desire, to have a beautiful home, a loving wife, good children, then kill me. go ahead. take the knife and end the game.”
˚ ༘♡ tears burned your eyes, falling hot and salty down your face before the rain could wash them away. you moved closer, mere inches from him now, your voice low and steady, almost a whisper. “do it,” you murmured. “you’ll have to, or neither of us gets anything, and i won’t hurt you, sang-woo.”
˚ ༘♡ his arm lifted, the knife angled toward your chest. his jaw tightened, his breathing ragged, but he didn’t strike. the blade hovered between you, shaking ever so slightly. “i… i can’t kill you,” he said, his voice breaking as the words escaped him.
˚ ༘♡ “but you could kill sae-byeok?” you asked, voice hoarse, choking on your words, your lips curving downward in a frown. “you could kill gi-hun? their lives meant less than mine? sae-byeok had her little brother waiting for her, and gi-hun has a daughter who will never understand why her father didn’t come back.” your voice grew softer, mellowed by despair. “their lives were important, sang-woo. their lives held no less value than yours or mine.”
˚ ༘♡ his face became grim, a flash of anguish breaking through his hardened mask. “don’t you think i understand that?” he shouted, his voice catching on the words. his free hand pressed against his chest as though the pain inside was physical, unbearable. “i didn’t do it because i wanted to! you think i enjoyed it? you think i’m a sadist?” his voice cracked, his desperation bleeding into every word. “everything i’ve done… i had no choice! i have to fix this. i have to make it right. otherwise, what was all of this for? the sacrifices, the suffering, it will mean nothing!”
˚ ༘♡ the rain fell harder, drowning out the quietude, as his words hung in the air, each one more bitter than the last. you could see it, the guilt embedded into his aged face, the torment tearing him apart, but it didn’t undo the blood on his hands.
˚ ༘♡ your fingers wrapped around his trembling hand, guiding the blade to your throat. the cold metal kissed your skin, and your voice was composed despite the tears falling freely down your face. “go home, sang-woo,” you said softly, your grip strengthened to keep his hand close to you.
˚ ༘♡ his face was streaked with rain and tears now, his composure unraveling. his breathing was uneven, his chest heaving as he tried to pull the knife away. “i won’t do it,” he choked out, his voice hoarse, trembling with something between anguish and resolve. his fingers curled tighter around the hilt, but not to push forward, only to keep it from you. “i won’t kill you.”
˚ ༘♡ the silence that followed was deafening, broken only by the rain pounding against the earth. your gaze shifted to the stormy horizon, staring blankly at the void ahead. “sang-woo,” you whispered, your tone solemn, distant. “do you remember that night you stayed over at my place? you said you liked my cooking, even though we both knew it was awful. and i laughed at all your ridiculous, outdated jokes and listened to your business jargon, even when i didn’t know half the terms you used, i liked being the woman you spent your days with.” a faint, bittersweet smile tugged at your lips, though it was short-lived, disappearing as quickly as it came. “that’s the day i remember the most. not the gifts, not the trips, not the money. none of it mattered to me. only mattered. i wanted you, nothing else.”
˚ ༘♡ his breath snagged, his lips parting to speak, but no words came. you turned your tear-streaked face toward him, meeting his tormented gaze. “it will never be like that again,” you said, your voice breaking. “we can’t go back, sang-woo. not after everything.”
˚ ༘♡ before he could react, you wrenched the knife from his hand with a sudden, sharp motion. his eyes widened, panic flashing across his face as he reached for you. but it was too far too late. the blade pierced your throat with brutal precision, and the warmth of your blood poured over your trembling hands. you staggered, the world moving and fading around you, your legs giving out beneath you as you collapsed.
˚ ༘♡ “sang-woo…” you murmured, your voice barely audible as you crumpled to the wet sand. scarlet-red ichor spilled out in thick rivers, melding with the rain-soaked earth.
˚ ༘♡ “no!” he screamed, his voice raw and broken, as he fell to his knees beside you. quivering hands reached for you, lifting your head from the wet sand as rain pelted down in icy sheets. his tears mingled with the blood streaking your face, his sobs shaking his entire body. “please, no… don’t do this,” he choked out, desperation lacing every word. “stay with me, please.”
˚ ༘♡ you opened your mouth to speak, but the words came weak, barely audible over the thunderous rain. “my… my family,” you sputtered, your voice thick with the blood flooding your throat. each breath was a struggle, your chest rising and falling in shallow gasps. “tell them… tell them i won’t be there anymore, okay?” your fingers, trembling and cold, lifted to brush against his bloodied cheek. your touch was feather-light, tender despite your waning strength. “sang-woo… please, don’t forget me, okay?”
˚ ༘♡ his face was agonized, tears streaming past the injuries that marred his angular features, it was rare to see him so emotional, so delirious with grief. “i won’t,” he swore, his voice cracking beneath the strain of his grief. “i won’t forget you. i’ll never…” he stopped, his words caught in his throat as he pressed his hands to the gaping wound on your neck, desperate to stop the flow of blood. it was a futile effort, the red blood spilled through his fingers, staining the sand beneath you. “please, stay with me,” he whispered, his voice shatterred into a sob. “don’t leave me. please. i can’t live without you.”
˚ ༘♡ his desperate efforts were all in vain. the life was draining from your body, the world dimming around you. your breaths came slower, softer, each one feeling close to your last. his frantic cries grew distant, muffled as if you were slipping underwater. your vision blurred, the storm above fading into oblivion. and yet, through it all, his face remained clear as could be, the pain in his dark eyes burned into your thoughts.
˚ ༘♡ the last sound you heard was not his voice, but something colder, emptier. an emotionless voice echoed through the air, chilling and robotic, void of anything human.
˚ ༘♡ “player 177, eliminated.”
˚ ༘♡ you exhaled one final breath, your hand falling limply from sang-woo’s bloodied face as the darkness consumed you.

“Players, we sincerely congratulate and commend you all for successfully making it through the first five games” the masked man spoke, me and sae were sitting next to each other on one of the beds, my attention turned from him towards her noticing her heavy and unsettling breathings.
“Sae” she turned her lightly shaking head towards me “u okay?” I asked her, she looked away hesitated for a second and shook her head “what’s wrong” she didn’t say anything else back to me.
“The four of you are now finalists and as such, we have prepared special gifts for each of you. Eventually we reveal the gift, please take a moment to change into the outfit we have brought.”
After we’ve gotten our gifts, me and sae made our way into the bathroom, on the way there she was slightly limping and gripping my arm like she was in pain “sae if there’s something wrong please tell me” I ask as I places both of our black boxes on the edge of the sink.
She stared at me for a seconds before taking her shirt off revealing a huge glass stuck in her lower abdomen “fuck Sae” I said and took a step closer towards her looking more at the big damage. She looked down at me while breathing heavily.
“I can take it out and-“ I noticed how quickly she shook her head “no, no let me do” she said, I stared up at her and slowly nodded “please be careful” I mumbled, she then gripped the edge of the sharpe glass, taking a second before pulling the glass out leaving her groaning in pain as she gripped the sink for support.
I quickly grabbed a rag and pressed it on her, she grinned her teeth and leaned onto me “hey, imma need you to stand up straight okay? Can you do f’ me? She let out a small groan and stood up straight(kinda) “here, press down on it” she gripped and pressed down on the rag, I pulled my hands away and grabbed my shirt trying to find a clean spot and tore it.
I wrapped it around her waist and double knotting it so it could stay together. Once I was finished she washed her hands, put water over her face and stared at herself in the mirror before she locked eyes with me.
“U okay” she chuckled a bit “no not really” she mumbled and I nodded “let’s get you dressed” she didn’t put up a fight about it and let me dress her into her tuxedo “you look good” I said trying to brighten up the mood, she started at me and placed a gentle kiss on my cheek.
“I love you” I giggled grinning like an idiot “I love you to Sae” I placed a kiss on her slightly bruised lips “when we get outta here, wanna go to Hawaii?” The corner of her lip tugged up a little at my question “yeah, we could go” “and we could bring cheol with us” I bounced in excitement as her smiles grew. “Of course we can” I giggled.
“Let’s get dressed now and after this we can get you checked out and after you heal then we can go off somewhere, the three of us” I said opening the box and started to get dressed.
But who knew that neither one of us was gonna make it out alive.

Friends (?)- Sae-Byeok
context: You and Sae have been best friends since childhood. You shared similar tastes in food, clothes and drinks. You are always hugging each other, always exchanging caresses, kisses, pecks on the lips, they have each other as wallpaper and even sleep together. You are, in short, inseparable.
references: Sofia-Clairo / Friends-Chase Atlantic
Words: 5k
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You went to sleep at Sae-Byeok's house, as always, you woke up with the girl's arm around your waist, and with her head tucked into the crook of your neck. You gently took the girl's arm off you, and sat up in bed, stretching. You get up and looks for a Sae sweater to wear, and go to the bedroom door, leaving it, and walking through the hallways to the kitchen. You stand on tiptoe, and stretch your arm to reach the big cabinets in the girl's house, trying to get a glass. When you finally feel the cylindrical glass figure in your hand, another hand takes it and you smile, knowing who it was. Once the girl took the glass, you relaxed your feet, placing your entire palm on the floor again. The short-haired girl puts the glass on the counter, closes the cabinet and hugs your waist by behind, putting your cold hands under your sweater.
"I recognize that sweater from somewhere, miss," Sae murmurs against your cheek, placing light kisses on it and tracing mini circles on your stomach with her thumb. "I have no idea what you're talking about" you mumble, smiling slightly and looking at the glass on the counter that was now between your hands. The taller one lets out a laugh, wrapping both arms around your waist, lightly tightening the hug "It's so early...Go back to bed...". The girl mumbled, dragging out the sentence as if she was in pain, which made you laugh. "Just let me drink water, please." The girl let go of your waist, taking two steps back, and leaning against the wall, waiting for you. You open the fridge and take a bottle of water from the shelf, filling your glass. You drink the water in an instant, feeling a few small shivers from the difference in temperature on your body.
Sae rubs her eyes, heading for the bedroom, followed by you. She throws herself into the bed, burying your face in the pillow as you get into bed and pull the blankets over yourself. Sae turns onto her side and pulls the blankets over herself, pulling you close to her. You wrap your arms around her waist, putting your hands inside her shirt, gently caressing her back. Sae smiles and puts her arm under your head, hugging your neck. She glue their foreheads together, letting the tips of their noses touch lightly. "You're so pretty baby, i love you" You murmur, making Sae smile lightly and kiss your lips "You too, princess... And I love you more" The girl responds, making you make a fake sound and face of surprise "How dare you? Saying such thing! I love you more!" You say, pushing Sae's shoulder lightly. She lets out a laugh, feeling challenged.
"No... I love you more... Do you know why?" The girl asks, now kneeling on the bed. Confused, you frown and shake your head "Because you can't even say it." Sae finishes, shrugging. You let out a "Puff" and shrug "But I just said it-" you weren't even able to complete the sentence, Sae starts tickling your waist, making you laugh out loud and writhe on the bed trying to push the older woman away. "Say it now, c'mon...Say it!" Sae challenges, tickling you, smiling at your desperate laughter and watching you writhe on her bed. "I...I...Sae, stop!". You try to speak, but it's obviously useless since you're always interrupted by your own laughter, preventing you from speaking. Sae doesn't stop until she sees a small tear come out of your eye from laughing so hard.
The girl let out a laugh, wrapping your arms around your waist, holding you underneath her, and kissing your lips in a slow kiss. You wrap your arms around the girl's neck, pulling her closer, relaxing and melting into her kiss. When they both ran out of air, Sae broke the kiss, smiling slightly. The girl quickly kissed your lips again, and then kissed your cheek, laying her head on your lap soon after. You take the opportunity to stroke the girl's hair, and end up thinking: how did we get to this? There was only one right answer: Truth or Dare game from a year ago.
A year ago, you and Sae both went to a mutual friend's sleepover. Everything was normal until you all decided to play the damn game "Truth or Dare." As you can imagine, the bottle pointed to a friend of ours who was present at that same party, and to Sae. The friend in question dared Sae to kiss you right then and there. Shamelessly, Sae just leaned forward, and kissed your lips slowly. You obviously reciprocated, in fact, could some girl refuse such a thing? That's not the issue, it's what happens afterwards. After that, everything started to be more intentional: the nicknames that were previously just "Honey" and "love" began to become wider and more frequent. The touches began to be more blatant, like her always touching your waist, neck and back, the kisses that were previously only on the cheek and forehead started to be on the lips, neck and shoulder. And even you sometimes found yourself sitting on her lap when the two of you were on the couch doing something. Everything is more intense now. The thing is that neither you or Sae have talked about having anything more than friendship. If you tried, you would definitely work out. However, since no one has the courage to talk about it, you guys just stay...Friends(?).

Sososooo sorry if there is any spelling mistake or a mix up of pronouns. As I said English is not my native language so there are things that I really need to resort to the translator and he ends up mixing up the pronouns. But let it be noted here: The reader is always female.

That's it babies, hope you liked it!

MDNI! 18+ content beneath the cut, reader’s discretion is advised
Tumblr media
Kang Sae-byeok (Player 067)
Tumblr media
➤ her favourite position to have you in is any where you’re straddling her. she loves to look up at and admire you while you grind on her senselessly, plus this gives her ample opportunity to touch you in just about anyway she pleases
➤ tends to pull your hair while you eat her out
➤ she prefers more intimate, gentler sex. however, when you guys do go on the rougher side— she turns into a whiny, whimpering mess.
➤ it took sae-byeok a while to be able to tell you she loved you. in fact, when she said it for the first time, you were both shocked. you couldn’t tell if it was because of how fucked out she was, but you didn’t care; you loved to hear her say it
➤ if it wasn’t established from the previous hcs— i see sae-byeok as a sub leaning switch. but, when she tops she loves to use toys on you. trust if this woman gets her hands on a strap, she will be fucking you doggy style
➤ will compliment you throughout
“fuck, you’re so beautiful..”
“y’re so pretty when you do that”
“yeah, y’ like it when i fuck your pretty little pussy, don’t you..”
➤ just as much as she loves to compliment you, she’ll melt in your hands when you praise her, too. tell her how good she’s doing, how hot she looks, how good she’s making you feel and her mind will go blank from the pleasure
➤ double-sided dildo… that’s all i’ll say
─────────────
Ji-yeong (Player 240)
Tumblr media
➤ really likes to be in control, and she takes full advantage of it too.
➤ she goes absolutely crazy when you wear lingerie, sometimes she’ll take it off you but more often than not she likes the view with it on
➤ tit squeezer. not to a painful degree— she just likes toying with your tits
➤ toys are a give or take thing with ji-yeong, she can be quite mean with them though. she loves to tease you with a vibrator while she eats your pussy
➤ craves eye contact. whether its you looking into her eyes while she’s between your thighs, or its the two of you exchanging glances while you ride her thigh— eye contact is a need for her
➤ to piggyback off the teasing, some of the stuff she’ll say may include
“aww don’t start whining now.. weren’t you just begging for my fingers a moment ago?”
“i mean, if you want me to stop by all means— it would be a shame seeing how close you are”
“shit, you should see your face— you’re totally fucked out..”
➤ i fear at this point it’s sort of a given, but of course she’s into orgasm control. she’ll carry on with it sometimes, but the moment you use your safeword she’ll let you release
➤ loves laying on your chest during aftercare. her favourite part is being able to hear your heartbeat, and feeling your chest rise and fall
─────────────
double post day? i think so! at least it is where i live, regardless i hope you guys liked this one! i miss my wives so much… they need to come home fr.
as always, any advice/constructive criticism on how to improve my writing is appreciated and requested! have a fantastic day/night lovelies 💋

Summary: Bridges collapse when you round up the finals. Sang Woo questioning you on how far you are willing to take things. Knowing your odds against him, you accept it all.
Tumblr media
Timer ended on zero.
It took about a few seconds before the glass broke. Sound lasting a few seconds later as the shards shattered around. Every tile blown up once at a time. The action made you turn your head away. Arm up to protect your face.
Remaining low, you felt a posture bump into you. Shards glittering around like crystals. The impact seemingly coming in slow motion. Feeling the sharpness against your skin, scraping your skin open. As quick as it came, it was done.
Panting loud, you looked up over your shoulder. Seeing him hover with one side of his vest up your back. His gaze away. Straightening your posture, he lowered his vest as if nothing had occurred. As if he hadn’t pulled it up to protect you in some way from the shards. Rather take the pain for himself than you.
Turning your posture around, you met up with Sang Woo. His expression stern. Neutral and unreadable. His eyes slowly widening as his gaze noticed something. You felt it, knowing where he presumably was looking at. A cut on your cheek from the glass. The stinging was real. A burning feeling on your skin. Sang Woo’s jaw tensed leaning a bit forwards, compelled to do the gesture.
“Are you alright?” – Gi-hun’s voice broke the tension between Sang Woo and you off. Gi-hun touched your arm, pulling you towards him after he had asked Sae-Byeok.
Sang Woo took a step back. Shoving his glasses further up his nose, looking away. You hummed soft with a nodding head.  – “I’m… I’m fine.” – you reassured him. Gi-hun’s eyes fell on the cut on your cheek. Touching it without hesitation. Letting his thumb brush right under the cut.
Sang Woo’s gaze hard on it when you looked over Gi-hun’s shoulder to him. The moment, he noticed you had looked back at him, he turned his gaze away. – “I’m alright Gi-hun.” – you reminded him, pulling his hand down with a comforting smile. – “It’s just a cut. Nothing more.” – adding to your words to reassure him even more.
Gi-hun nodded touching your shoulder. The doors opened as it made you swallow nervously. Taking one last glance at the broken bridge. Four. Only four contestants had reached the end. Every other player having fallen to their death. Gi-hun stepped through the door first. Sae-Byeok right behind him, keeping her head low. You went after her, Sang Woo close by, ending the line.
Feeling his fierce gaze stalking you. Breath shuddering with each step you went to reach the pink stairs. Already hearing the faint classical music coming in the background. A hand went around your wrist, grabbing you firm. Releasing a gasp out of you as you got turned. Spun around as your back found the walls hard. Staring with a surprised gaze at Sang Woo.
His grip on your wrist tight. Feeling his palm roughly around yours. He came leaning in closer resting his arm above your head against the wall. Tilting his head to observe your face through his glasses. His gaze dropping to your lips. – “How willingly are you to go for the money?” – he asked in a deep voice. Keeping it low. Glancing to the side to see the last of Sae-Byeok and Gi-hun leave for the pink stairs. No pink suits in an immediate range.
His question caught you off guard, making you flutter your eyelashes confused. Sang Woo inhaled deep focusing his gaze on you once more. Leaning in deeper into your personal space. Breath hot on your lips. – “Are you willing to kill for it?” – he questioned. Observing your next expression very carefully. Staring bewildered back at him.
Catching yourself drop your gaze to his lips as he was so close up to you. Swallowing immediately as you flashed your gaze back up. – “Are you?” – you asked back, seeing his eyebrow quirk up. He came pressing his body even closer to you, making you turn your head to the side. – “Without a second thought.” – he whispered to you. He inhaled deep shifting his weight on his feet. – “It’s the finals Y/n. Do you really think you can walk out with all that money.” – he asked.
Turning your head back to him, you forced his head back with your glare. – “Are you going to kill me?” – you asked bluntly. Out in the open. His eyebrows tensed as his gaze hardened. He let go of your wrist, allowing his thumb to brush up your cheek right below the cut. Just like Gi-hun had before. – “If you give me no reasons.” – he finished parting your lips by pressing gently on your chin with his thumb.
You blinked off guard when his eyes widened. Body pressing a bit deeper into you. Sang Woo looked over his shoulder, meeting up with a pink suit and a riffle. – “Move it!” – the pink suit called out. Sang Woo shot him a glare, removing his hand from against the wall. Giving you immediate more space. Moving his hands up in defence, he stepped away from you. Turning back to you, bringing his finger to his lips. Telling you to be quiet.
The pink suit motioned with his riffle for you to follow. Silently you went after Sang Woo up to the pink stairs. Classical music breaking the silence. Step after step you went down. Returning back to the sleeping quarters. Now nothing but an empty space with four simple beds. The doors opened to the sleeping quarters.
Sang Woo getting shoved inside by a push of the riffle between his shoulders. You received a shove as well, stumbling into the room. Sang Woo’s gaze went to Sae-Byeok sitting in her bed. – “Where did you go?” – Gi-hun asked staring confused at you. He went straight to you, tugging at your arm to explain. – “Did something happen?” – he wanted to know, glancing over to Sang Woo. Keeping a firm expression on him.
You shook your head to reassure him. – “Guess I wasn’t feeling good just yet after that bridge.” – you lied to him. His immediate attention went to Sang Woo. Sang Woo staring right back at him from afar. You tugged on Gi-hun’s vest to call his attention back. – “Sang Woo staid back to make sure I was alright.” – you lied again. Not wanting him to get suspicious of the man he knew before the games.
Gi-hun sighed relieved, pulling you close for a hug. – “Why didn’t you tell you weren’t alright. Are you sure you are no where else hurt.” – he wanted to know. Keeping you at arms-length. Not trusting your judgement anymore. Shaking your head, you wanted to prove him wrong. That there was truly nothing with you. – “I’m fine Gi-hun.” – you reassured him again, tugging at his sleeve by his elbow.
You walked over to your bed near Sae-Byeok. The lights dimmed making you immediately look up. Already knowing the drill as it was imprinted in your mind. The piggy bank lowered as the money would follow soon. Gi-hun and Sang Woo were looking up as well.
Number after number getting called out. Money dropping down. Adding more to the already immense pile. The piggy almost full. Your gaze lowered seeing Sang Woo stare right back at you. Something dominant and stern in his expression. He didn’t need to speak to give you a shiver. His words from before echoing through your mind. Are you willing to kill for it. Swallowing nervously, you weren’t sure.
Sang Woo made something clear by quirking his eyebrow up. Were you? He then looked over at the bathrooms. His gaze back on you afterwards. Delivering the message. The doors opened once more, pink suits entering. Carrying gifts in square black boxes, stripped with a pink ribbon. They stood in line up front.
“Congratulations on reaching the finals.” – a triangle pink suit spoke. It made you glance immediately at Gi-hun as it felt double. Half sheer luck and dependence on your friends was what brought you this far. – “Let us reward you.” – the pink suit finished. Slowly you got up following the others to the pink suits. Accepting each a box. Opening it to see a black suit and tie in it.
Staring dumbfound at the clothing. The finals were coming and they wanted to make it a festivity. Sae-byeok went straight to the bathrooms on the left. Gi-hun scratched his head thoughtfully. Looking up from your box, you saw Sang Woo stare at you. Motioning slightly with his head in the direction of the bathrooms. Biting your lip, you found it risky. Sang Woo headed over to the right door, waiting there with one last glare at you. Looking over your shoulder to Gi-hun checking out his suit. With one final sigh, you went to the right.
Bidding to Sang Woo’s orders. Sang woo was waiting for you in the restrooms. Standing by the sinks. You went over to the other side, placing the box down. Sang Woo undid himself of the green and white shirt. Revealing his bare chest. It made you feel flushed. Immediately turning your posture away from him. – “What will you do with me?” – you asked taking your green vest off. With trembling hands, you moved your shirt up. Sang Woo’s gaze fell on your bare back. Catching him off guard.
“Will you kill me?” – you asked. Shuddering out a breath as you felt a sudden touch on your shoulder. Sang Woo forgetting all about his walls and leave a tender kiss on your bare shoulder. – “Only if you make me.” – he responded leaving another kiss on your shoulder. You turned around facing him. – “Are you willing to kill Y/n?” – he asked again. He grabbed for the white shirt in your black box. Opening the buttons whilst glancing up to you from time to time.
“Do you think you stand a chance?” – he enquired further. Throwing the shirt over your shoulders. You tugged your arms in. Sang Woo taking each side of the shirt, pulling you closer to him. – “Against you…” – you answered staring at his bare chest. Gaze flashing up to his eyes as he paused him buttoning your shirt up.
“No…” – you let out, knowing your chances. You weren’t a fool. Out of everyone here, he was the most likely one to win. You assumed he would smile. Smirk and find pleasure in this. Instead his expression remained settled. Staring with curiosity back at you. Tilting his head slightly. – “I know my chances.” – you confessed to him. You didn’t feel like you would win this. You knew this would be the final station for you.
Only one could win and it wasn’t you. You knew it and Sang Woo knew it too. Sang Woo pulled at the shirt, making you stumble forwards. – “Let’s even the chances then.” – he pressed his hands firm against your cheeks. Pulling your lips to him. Breathing loud in your mouth before closing his lips on yours. Back pressing against the sinks. Pushing and pulling you closer for each desperate kiss.
Panting loud at each given breath between kisses. You stopped kissing him, pulling your head back. Sang Woo’s lips were still eager for yours. Moving them forwards but at the loss of your touch, he pulled away curious. – “You are making a fools decision.” – you told him. Hinting at his actions. Sang Woo genuinely furrowed his brows at you. – “Do you really think you can kill me after this?” – you questioned. Wondering if he would be a lover or a fighter.
Sang Woo lowered his gaze, pushing his glasses further up his nose. Clearing his throat, he avoided your question. Buttoning your shirt up further. He then stepped back, going around the sink. Turning away to put on his own shirt. Glancing over his shoulder as he saw you get further ready.
Dismissing your green sweat pants for a classic black pants. Finishing up with a black vest and a butterfly tie. When you were finished, you left the restrooms. Leaving Sang Woo alone to finish up. You walked out of the door, already seeing Sae-byeok sit down. Giving you a curious glance. You ignored her walking straight over to your bed. Sang Woo left the doors a bit later, making Sae-byeok quirk her eyebrow up even more.
Sighing loud, you got up joining the table that was set for you. A winners meal. Set in a square. Each contestant taking a side. You sat across from Gi-hun. Staring with wide eyes at the sharp knife by your plate. Trying hard not to look at Sang Woo. Knowing the lengths he would go to win. Instead you looked over to your right, seeing that Sae-byeok was not looking so good.
Looking pale and shivering. Something was definitely up with her and if you saw it, the others could see it as well. Swallowing nervously, you weren’t sure if you should do it. Knowing probably everyone around you would do it. Or at least Sang Woo and Sae-byeok. Holding the knife in your hand, you were debating heavily. Sang Woo’s words tormenting your mind once more. Were you willing to kill?
Knowing your chances, you lowered the knife. Not giving in to the taunting. No matter what, this was your final resting place and you knew it. Plates got collected by pink suits. All glancing at each other with a look that no one could be trusted. A curse the game had set upon you. The only person you needed to look out for was yourself. The tables got cleared as you went for your bed.
Lights going out in five minutes. Defenceless you laid yourself down, waiting for the lights to go out. The lights flashed out, dimming the room. Exhaling deep, you closed your eyes. Hearing Sae-byeok struggle. Sudden spatters made you shot up. His eyes reflecting in the darkness. The lights flashed back on, revealing Sang Woo and his crime. Eyes widening at Sae-byeok laying in a pool of blood in her bed. The blood spatters on his face and shirt.
Gi-hun rushed up to the doors, calling for help after having heard the buzzing sound. Sang Woo’s gaze fell on you. Your gaze dropped onto the knife in his hand. With fear in your eyes, you stared back at him. Throwing the covers off you, jumping out of your bed.
Sang Woo stepped aside, coming to block your path. Something feral in his gaze as he lifted his hand up. It made you scream loud, stumbling to the ground. Sang Woo ready to slash the knife down on you. His gaze going down on you. – “What about my odds?” – you asked with a frantic expression.
Sang Woo’s hand slowly lowered. Gaze changing with realization to what he was doing. The knife clattering to the ground with a loud pant. – “You asked me if I was willing to kill.” – you told him, keeping his gaze on you. His expression softening up on you. Blindly you reached for it. Felt the handle in your grip as you pulled it closer to you. – “I am.” – you finished before stabbing the knife in your throat. Sang Woo’s eyes widened. – “No!” – he screamed out, leaping forwards.
Blood gushed out of your throat as your hand dropped down. Sang Woo moved to you, pulling you close to him. Laying you on his lap as you were bleeding out. Staring with gulps up to him. Unable to speak or form words. Unable to tell him you were sorry. Unable to tell him this was your best chance as you wouldn’t stand a chance out there. You wanted to tell him all of that, but you couldn’t. Sang Woo was trembling. Shivering as his shaking hand touched your cheek.
“Why?” – he sobbed out. Pulling you more up, he allowed his forehead to touch yours. Brutally met up with his own intentions. – “Sang Woo!” – Gi-hun’s voice roared through the room. Making him lift his head up with a gasping sob. Gi-hun saw the ravage of you and Sae-byeok dead. Cheeks trembling with rage at what he had done. Sang Woo looked down at you, sniffing loud. – “I…I…I didn’t…” – he let out. This was not his doing. The finals up to two. Two more players eliminated.

CRAWLING BACK TO YOU, Kang Sae-byeok x fem reader
Tumblr media
In which, Kang Sae-byeok is a pit fighter, getting her money by bloodying up opponents like nothing. After her breakup with you, she catapults herself into the ring every night - but when her victory streak comes to a salty end, she doesn't have anyone else to call. fluff and angst
Tumblr media
The white floodlights in the ring light up - illuminating Sae-byeok's body in vibrance. Sweat runs from her temple down her cheek, her hair drenched and messy, hanging down in-front of her eyes as her chin dipped towards the floor. The crowd erupts in malevolent cheers as they catch sight of her - panting and ready for an actually good fight.
She brought her gloved fist right up to her face, ripping at the velcro strap with her teeth - pulling it as tight as possible, her jaw clenching in anguish.
Her abdomen glistened in the stage lights - her ears drowned in screams of biased people who'd pay to see anything get hit. Her opponent hadn't shown themselves yet - and so, she planted her feet - a wet rag strewn around her neck. Before this, she'd dumped her face into a bucket of ice water - trying any attempt to silence her own thoughts.
The announcer called out the woman's name as she stepped into the enclosed space - grimacing as she stared down Sae-byeok with incredulous intent.
Sae watched through worn eyes as the woman gathered all the saliva in her mouth - spitting it out on the mat beside her. She was big, that was for sure - the epitome of muscular.
When Sae-byeok fought, it was the only way she could get lost. So when the announcers called out for the match to begin, she rolled her tongue over her mouthguard and fought.
She usually thought about nothing but victory, her muscles tensing as she moved and slid between hits, throwing her own with staggered breaths and calculated efforts. She practically threw herself forward, packing all her energy into a punch to the face as soon as her opponent's guard dropped. Her gloved fist landed with almost no sound - but the woman had clearly not expected to get punted so hard so quickly due to her surprise reaction.
This was where it went wrong - a first punch to the face?
That was her first mistake. Sae-byeok could see anger arise so quickly in her eyes, clearly she was facing a bad sport. Fortunately, when you face someone like so - they usually lose composure when their emotions take over, and so, she'd be in for force fuelled, inexperienced attacks from here on out.
The woman threw a punch to hit, full of unbridled anger and impulsivity. Sae byeok side stepped it, shoving a shin into her upper thigh, causing her to stumble over before regaining her footing.
Just when Sae had started to believe she had the upper hand, the woman coiled up her body and dispersed a fake, diverting Sae's attention to blocking as her face fell open - available for instant damage. Sure enough, she hit with unpalatable strength right in the jaw.
Sae-byeok snapped her head back, un-eager to lose so quickly. She tried to get another kick in, but the woman had already started to swing her leg up, swiping Sae's ankle. The smaller girl stumbled back, her back meeting the wall of the ring with an unmistakable clang. That one will hurt in the morning, she thought.
The woman charged for her, pinning their bodies together just to get in another punch. Neither one of them could talk, the gum guards in their mouth protecting them from muttering complete filth to one another - but Sae-byeok could easily guess the sentences and unstrung words running through her mind.
A punch to the gut sent her head tilting back into the wall in pain, the air completely knocked from her lungs. It wasn't often that she lost a fight, but it wasn't looking so good. She wondered how she'd explain the injuries to Cheol in the morning, but that was something to worry about later.
That was it - the thought she needed to fight back harder. If she didn't win this bitch-fight, she'd have no money for a motel and none to take her brother to the market tomorrow.
She pushed with everything she had, and eventually the woman gave in for just enough time for Sae byeok to tackle her to the ground, scrambling atop her to throw more punches in. She had only managed a few before she leapt up, able to easily defy Sae's smaller frame - flipping the two of them over.
Sae struggled ineffectively under the lady's grasp, grabbing and hitting at anything she could, feeling ashamed. She'd never gone down this easily.
She braced herself, another punch gearing her way. The smack of the glove was evident throughout even the noisy crowd, Sae's nose erupting into waterfalls of spattered blood, likely staining her white sports bra. With her head pressed against the floor, she seethed in pain ready to give up. But as tears ran from her eyes to the marked floor, the woman would not stop - vengeful of fairness that had never depleted.
After the third hit, Sae-byeok had a flash of a memory, seeing bliss through the train wreck window. She thought of soft sheets, and the sound of your laughter as you lay atop her, placing gentle kisses to her starstruck face where it was now being smashed up with such disdain and intent.
She caught glimpses of your eyes in hers, the snap between love and hate giving her whiplash. It had been a year, and she she never allowed herself to think of you - knowing it would lead to something disastrous like this. She convinced herself it was fine - she had been through worse than a breakup. But it hurt more than it should've, and she could never grasp why. It wasn't just some relationship - it was you.
She had lost count of the hits now, determined again to hit back but the floor was just too inviting - exhaustion hitting her body in waves, actively fighting the adrenaline coursing through her veins.
The pain is so prominent that at first, she doesn't even notice the weight of the woman lift free from her pelvis, permanently struck with this thrumming hurt that thrived precariously in both her mind and her body. She wanted you. She wanted you to be there to pick her up, to tell her it was okay.
She had no-one. She was all alone. And on a random Saturday at 11pm, after getting the shit kicked out go her, she really noticed it.
Everything had been a distraction from what she didn't have, always thinking about money and where she'd get it - but at the same time, drinking it all away at the bar because she couldn't bare to have one sober thought. She just wanted someone to call, someone to take her home and be worried.
She wasn't crying anymore, she knew that. But things still seemed so blurry, unable to get to grips with her surrounds but somehow making out the faint line of a hand, lifted up in victory. Her hands trembled at her sides, tremors of past hiccups and old memories bubbling to the surface minute by minute.
The announcer confirmed the victory, the crowd cheering and booing appropriately - though she knew none of them cared who won or lost. they just wanted a good fight.
The floodlights dimmed, the electrical, insect like buzz softly filtering into the chatter of a lively audience - not one willing to get up and help her.
She raised a hand to her bloodied mouth, throwing the gloves to the side and ripping the guard from her gums, string of saliva and blood forging it to her aching teeth. She swirled her tongue around: no losses. But no relief came with that information - she couldn't care less if she had all her pieces. There would forever be one missing, as long as you were gone.
Tumblr media
You got up from your sheets, hair tangled up in the most horrendous nest shape. Your breath smelled of goodnight tea and toothpaste, warm and frothy in your mouth. You were half asleep, and someone was perturbingly ringing the doorbell to your apartment. You raised your phone to your face, seeing no missed calls or anything - making you a little anxious. Who the hell was ringing at 12:57am?
You slyly grabbed a knife from the kitchen, sliding with your fluffy socks on the hardwood as to not make noise. You held it up over your torso, reaching for the latch on the handle and carefully pressing the door open. You swung it forward, pulling the knife out further in-front of you to greet whomever was standing there - body poised and arched like a black cat in the night.
You audibly gasped as you saw her standing there, only her silhouette visible against the flickering light of the accommodation hallway.
This made no difference to you - you could recognise her form anywhere.
"Sae?" you whispered, the name making her instantly lose her composure. Only you had ever called her that.
The knife, once firm between your whitened knuckles, drops to the floor with a mighty clang as you notice her state - hunched posture, cradling her ribs with only a hoodie slung over her shoulders. She's trembling - because of the cold, or the pain, you weren't quite sure. Blood stained her face, running right down from her nose to her lower V-lines. And with chapped lips, she tried her best to speak, but nothing would get past the lump in her throat.
She felt terrible for coming, but she had nowhere else - no one else.
She thought she'd made a big mistake, expecting you to yell and shout and scream at her for showing up. but instead, you leapt forward and hugged Kang Sae-byeok so hard she thought her already tampered ribs might break.
Choked sobs wrung out of the injured girl's mouth as she received the comfort, relief overtaking her body like she'd never felt. It subdued the pain a great deal, as you just rubbed her back in attempts to soothe the never-ending sobs that had been regressed for months.
"It's okay," you lulled, stroking her hair as she curled every part of herself into you. "I'm here."
"I'm sorry," she managed to muster, "I'm so sorry."
Tears start to well in your eyes too - you couldn't stress enough how much you'd worried about her since everything ended. But now that she was here, you'd already made the decision that you weren't letting go again.
She smelled the same - like ground coffee and rain.
You pulled away to examine her face, bringing your palms to her cheeks just to use your thumbs to wipe the tears away. Her tired, somber eyes faltered when looking at you - taking in everything like it was the first time.
"Come on," You soothe, "Lets clean you up."
She nods, tears still falling silently as she continues to shiver. You lift one of her arms over your shoulder, shutting the door beneath the both of you - redirecting her to the bathroom. The hoodie that had been slung on her shoulders falls to the floor as you support her, both of you simply ignoring it.
You place her down on the lidded toilet, instructing her to sit as you turn on the bath tap and and go back to the kitchen, searching your drawers for anything that might help clean her wounds. Eventually after what felt like endless rummaging, you find a rag and some rubbing alcohol.
You rush over to her - her consciousness dipping right before you arrive to catch her. You position yourself in between her legs - kneeling on the cold linoleum to clean her grazed knees first. She winces, grabbing your shoulder in support as you brush the chemicals over the fresh wounds.
"It's alright, it'll only hurt for a second," You assure her, bringing your un-dominant hand up to stroke her hand soothingly.
"Jesus, Sae," you exasperate as you take a closer look at her stomach - delicate purples, pinks and blues starting to brush right into her skin - in all the places she'd been hit. "You better not step in that ring again or I'll beat you up myself."
By the time you're done, the bath is pretty much full to the top - the steam invading every part of the room with mindless heat. It fogs up the mirrors, and you realise that's probably best - you didn't want her seeing herself so bashed up.
"Can you lift your arms?" You ask, wondering if she can even answer. To your surprise, she nods slowly, looking so allured and pained at the same time. She looks excrucially beautiful, like the remnants of a renaissance painting in pieces on your bathroom floor.
She slowly lifts them up above her head, giving you a clear view of every muscle and scar she'd ever obtained or lost. not that you'd never seen her body before - that was hardly it. It just managed to strike you with such tender feelings every time, without fail.
You lifted careful fingers to the hem of her bra, pushing it up to get it right over her head without hurting her further.
She winces as it moves past her face, brushing up against the new blood that wouldn't stop gushing.
"Sorry," you mumble quickly as you throw the ruined thing to the side, unaware that she had shook her head - there was nothing to be sorry about, and Sae stood by that.
"Can you stand up again?" You ask, raising yourself to stand and taking both her hands in yours. She mutters a quiet 'yes' and you nod in acceptance, helping her up with your fingers intertwined.
She grips statically onto you as she comes to stand, using your forearms as crutches; not that you minded at all. You helped her discard her shorts and underwear and lowered her carefully into the bath, making sure she didn't slip up.
The water immediately started to darken with spots of red, as she sat there with her knees pressed up to her chest - sniffling and breathing heavy.
"I'll be right back." you say, leaving her just sitting there to contemplate. You come back soon enough with an empty cup and a bag of ice, ready to give her when she gets out incase she culminates a black eye.
You stroke her black hair back behind her ears, her eyes closing as your fingers run through her scalp; kind of like when a cat pushes their ears back when you pet them. The image makes you smile.
You fill the cup up with bathwater and pour it over her hair, pushing her chin up so that she tilts her neck back. You do this a few more times before grabbing the rag from before just to spot it to her face.
You start at her jawline, carefully washing away the mixture of sweat and blood that ran down her body, bit by bit. Even though her complexion was throbbing with discomfort, she'd never felt more relaxed, more at home.
You place a wet hand to her cheek, forcing her to look at you as you attempt to wipe the rest of the blood away. As you sweep the rag across her cheek, she stares intently at you - a single tear falling precisely down her cheek.
"Hey," you whisper, wiping it away gently with the cloth. "I'm here now. Not going anywhere."
She smiled faintly - igniting a faint glimmer of hope in you. Sae-byeok really couldn't believe all that was happening. There was so much hurt that was so hard to push away - but there you were, with your angelic glow and your devoted selflessness. She'd never loved anyone like she'd loved you. And she really, really did.
"I didn't know where else to go." she tells you, her voice cracking. "I..."
she trails off, unable to compute her own ramblings into anything she'd declare as meaningful.
"Thank you I...I didn't mean to just show up-"
"Shhh,'' you hush. "I know. I was worried about you - I thought something like this might happen."
You laugh shortly, confusing her a little.
"We're broken up for a year and you almost die on me." You joke, looking into her sweet, wounded eyes. Exterior like a lion, soul like a lamb.
"I don't know why you're doing this." her breath hitches in her throat, her pronunciation soft - rather than monotone, like she'd usually utilise. "I don't deserve your forgiveness."
You sigh, finally using the rag to clean her bust bottom lip - brushing your fingers against the cut sensually.
"Because I love you." You confess - the weight unapparent, like you were confessing to leaving a door open on accident, or that you left something at work. To you, it was just true. Nothing but.
Before you could let her reply with anything - you grabbed the shampoo, rubbing it between your palms and then scrubbing it through her short hair as she scrunched up her nose - unbeknownst to the newfound pressure.
You washed It out with the cup again, and then, lathered her hair in conditioner, the soap forming bubbles in the water. You picked one up in your hands - pressing it onto her nose when she wasn't looking - trying your best to cheer her up. She smiled as you smiled back, before reaching up to swipe it off with your thumb.
Afterwards, you grabbed your softest towel and dried her off, letting her wear one of your shirts to bed. You tucked her in and turned the lights off - determined to just give her some space. But in the later hours of the night, you couldn't stop worrying - what if she just...stopped breathing in the middle of the night? Or had gotten punched so many times her brain was ready to give out? It was stupid - you were practically making up reasons to sleep beside her.
But when Sae-byeok awoke from a dream at 3am, and saw you sleeping soundly beside her, she was able to fall into a safe sleep immediately.
