First Wave of Invasion Attacks hits Telos IV

Jedi and Alliance forces as well as a few Mandalorians and others were on their way to rescue a Jedi that had been kidnapped earlier in the week.  The Remnant was also on a mission seeking the same ends.  However things would be thrown into chaos as they approached the city of Dol. The timing would line up with the first wave of invasion forces being launched from the Citadel in orbit.  The attack was on four fronts; Dol in the Southern Region which is the Industrial capital of Telos IV,  Krefouis in the north, and Vesa in the central region.  Late information indications there was also an attack on a Mandalorian Outpost on the outskirts of the Thani suburbs.

What made Dol the most significant was the emergence of the Third Leviathan which proved to be a threat to all sides of the battlefield.  Jedi, Alliance and others managed to clear a large contingent of Sacred Legion Conscripts which bought many civilians time to evacuate the city.   The missing Jedi was rescued as well by the Remnant who were able to operate without as much resistance as the other forces were holding the attention of both the Sacred Order and the Leviathan.  Casualties were high overall and in the end all factions including the Sacred Order withdrew as the Leviathan leveled the city but was destroyed in the aftermath by an orbital bombardment once the beast had knocked the cities shield generator offline.

In Vesa it’s estimated over 50% of the population and buildings were destroyed, the survivors evacuated to New Thani.  In Krefouis the death toll was high, only around a quarter of the population survived, most of them making their way to Carth.  Dressa was able to fend off the attack, it’s local forces heavily supplemented when they activated a storehouse of old CIS equipment, still lost over 10% of structures and population.  Sources believe that the invading force may have setup a base at one of the fallen locations.

Following the battle of Dol, residents of the Czerka forest near New Thani reported what sounded like weapons fire near the Mandalorian base. According to witnesses and footage from the fight itself, it appears that Sacred Order Stormtroopers had attacked the Mandalorian base with little to no success. 

We've also received video footage of the encounter itself, though I will warn you it is graphic.

<"Shut the EXPLETIVE up and fall back!"> <"EXPLETIVE we can't move! There's too many of them!">

One of the Troopers tried to run off and got pelted in the back by one of the Mandalorians.

 An explosion goes off where most of the Stormtroopers were standing. One trooper tries to continue to shoot back but his head gets blasted off, causing that part to be censored.

Breaking News!

Raid Sirens would blare across many cities and towns on Telos IV as it seemed that the Sacred Order had launched it’s first wave of attacks.  It’s unknown at this point how many cities are under assault as they have launched a large contingent of troopers complimented with mechanized vehicles with multiple destinations.  One city which had given notice of sightings is Dol which is the Industrial Capital of Telos IV.  Dol has had a rough few weeks between the earthquake around a month ago and Leviathan sightings.   The Capital itself of New Thani has not yet sounded any alarms.   The already spread thin Security Force is doing what it can to defend the locations under attack, mercenaries are being offered credits for aiding the defense and allies are being asked for aid.

The occupation of the Citadel (6ABY)

The chain of events would occur rather suddenly.  The long awaited meeting between the Telosian Council and Grand Moff Kaine's Imperial contingent would be interrupted quite soundly.  Firstly a shuttle containing Grand Moff Kaine, Moff Kyn and other Imperial personal was shot down by New Thani's automated defenses, it is believed to have spiraled out of control and ended up crash landing somewhere between Thani and Karath Valley.  Just as this news was breaking a warfleet bearing a previously unseen emblem would jump out of hyperspace in near proximity to the Citadel. Though there was a new emblem the design was unmistakably Imperial, one could assume this fleet belongs to the Empire in the Core.  Someone within the Citadel managed to take the automated defenses offline and chaos ensued as what little naval forces Telos has were forced into retreat quickly, Kaine's ships would also withdraw being heavily outnumbered.

The Citadel would then be boarded by a contingent of Stormtroopers that would quickly overwhelm the Telos Security Force and seize control, it is at that point we lost all insight as to what is going on at the massive orbital station.  What we do know is that most of the Telosian Council was on board, as far as we know only the Sovereign was late as he was returning from a diplomatic trip, but we are unsure at this time if his ship made it back to the surface as several vessels were fired on.  While we do not know what is going on within, we do know that the system is now blockaded and getting in or out would prove difficult. Meanwhile the situation on the ground is still unpredictable if a full scale invasion is launched.  Several regions are dealing with repairs from the chain of natural disasters as well as these massive creatures that we've learned all called "Leviathan's".  We have no insight to how they got here, but Telos has no prior encounter with them in history, it would be hard for a creature of that size to have avoided detection.  We believe two have been killed, but we do not have a count of their numbers.  We do know that the Town of Yosa was decimated, and severe damage done to the Czerka Residential Suburb of New Thani.

No one knows who fired on Grand Moff Kaine but with the Citadel systems also being forced offline I think it is likely there is a traitor somewhere high in Government.  We already know of the late Sano Sauro’s antics as he engineered conflict between multiple factions to benefit the Core Empire but he has been dead for months, it's unlikely a protocol he installed back then would go without notice so it is reasonable to assume he is not the only one whose helping the Core Empire which is now known as the “Sacred Order”.   Which became known when Carnox Jax made the following declaration 

“Citizens of Telos.  I, am Carnor Jax.  Former Sovereign Protector of the late Emperor Palpatine.  As part of the Vanguard forces of the Sacred Order, I am here to declare that from this moment forward, you are one of us.  You are under the protection of our Divine Sovereign, but further more under our control.  As I speak to you now, our forces are spreading about this world to create order and peace throughout the regions.  There are weak fools who could not protect you and brought their war to your doorsteps.  We will end that war for them, and for you.  Grand Moff Kaine, and my former fellow Guardsman Moff Davos Kyn, have already been dealt with by our opening strike.  Without them, their forces will soon crumble and flee just as their ships did, abandoning you as they did Coruscant and other worlds.  The Telosian Council has also been taken captive along with Citadel Station.  We hereby call for the Telosian Security Force to be disbanded and absorbed into our military, and all citizens to lay down their arms.  Any perceived rebellious intent will be met with quick and decisive action by our forces.  We are the Sacred Order, and we are Eternal.” 

Kaine's forces are likely on the hunt for the crashed ship, but probability of survivors is low judging by the crash velocity.  In the meantime the Sovereign has called for the smaller towns in the vicinity of New Thani to pull back to the capital as it is the most defended position on the planet, thankfully the storm has come to an end and the flood waters have receded so travel should not be too badly impacted.  

Meanwhile an Alliance spy broadcasted a holo of what seems to be the corpse of Cronal, who we believed was leading the Empire in the Core that has taken the new name of the Sacred Order.  That combined with the whispers of this “Divine Sovereign” has the galaxy on alert that something has changed on Coruscant.
