so fascinating that the shipname for sabo/koala changed from sabokoa to saboala

i'm sure both were used interchangeably by the english speaking one piece fandom before, but more recently it's switched to saboala being the popular shipname vs sabokoa (it seems like the change started in 2018 and then really took effect post pandemic)

i wouldn't be surprised if part of it was the sabo/koala fandom going relatively dormant w/ the lack of content in the animanga, and how phonetically speaking saboala is prolly easier for english speakers to say versus sabokoa.

16. Favourite trope? As cheesy as it is, a favorite to write is teen romance lasts forever. Marrying your high school sweetheart etc. It's kind of how I picture the SaboKoa ship and ShorAsh too. I'm a sucker for friends to lovers. 17. Least favourite trope?

Everyone gets a redemption arc. Though I like the idea, it's kind of overdone and sweeps everything said villain did under the rug as if nothing happened. While I don't like seeing characters killed off, even evil ones, I don't believe they can just be forgiven and rehabilitated with the snap of a finger. I want to see the healing process, I want to see justice served and the bad guy end up incarcerated or whatever. Redemption arcs can be helpful in writing, but not every character is deserving of one. Evil is evil for a reason, but killing them off is a get out of jail free card. Two more I can't stand and have to add because they irk me just as much are queer coded villains and bury your gays because they're outright homophobic and need to be stopped now. I'm tired of it.
