being bitchy about the SAB/SOC cancellation but it makes me even more bitter about how the show treated Inej, because I thought we might finally get her canon backstory and depth in the spinoff and now I'm just....they really just threw all that away for some surface-level badass scenes

Like...no Menagerie explanation. No incinerator climb. No Heleen or Dunyasha showdown. No "I can help you." No early days Dregs Trio. No flashbacks of Baby Inej with her parents. No Van Eck hostage situation. No Dock fight. No "I would come for you." No second Bathroom Scene with "It's not easy for me either." No Captain Ghafa. No harbor scene where she holds hands with her boy and thinks that the world is made of miracles. Just...what a waste.
