Pakistan tour to England 2018

So Pakistan eye a tough england tour where they will play 2 tests one in lords from May 24/28 and one in headingly on June 1-5 followed by 2 t20is against Scotland.

 Coming to the squad they have gone with quiet alot of inexperience in the batting line up with Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq being the senior most batsmen in the batting line up heres the squad  Sarfraz Ahmed(c), Azhar Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Sami Aslam, Haris Sohail, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Saad Ali, Asad Shafiq, Usman Salahuddin, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Abbas , Hasan Ali, Rahat Ali, Faheem Ashraf  . Barring Sarfraz, Azhar, Asad Amir, Sami Rahat no one else has played a test in England though the team is coming with a win against Ireland, but we did see batting get exposed in challenging conditions top order Azhar Alis form is a worry him and Asad being the senior players will need to step up and get runs if Pakistan can manage to get 300+ with the bat they have the bowling to put pressure on England. Good thing is we saw the youngsters stepping up Imams 50 in 2nd innings and runs in practise games, Babar Azam getting runs Shadab and Faheem getting runs Abbas getting  9 wickets. 

 Basically its a young and energetic team and at lords pakistan has good memories from last time with Misbah getting a 100 Yasirs 10 wickets overall Pakistan has won 4 test matches in lords and lost 4 and drawn 6 ball does tend to swing in 1st hour as we noticed in the game against Ireland new ball is a challenge to face but once the ball gets old it becomes easier to bat. So if Pakistan wins the toss the stats show that more teams have won at lords batting first average score being 316 like they did against Ireland batting first gives you an advantage.

 Now for Pakistans record at headingly it has been quiet poor they havent played a test against in England since almost 12 years in 9 tests Pakistan won 1 lost 5 drew 6. In headingly batting 1st and 2nd teams have won even number of matches with average scores in 1st inns being 310. Now coming back Pakistan definately will miss the presence of Yasir Shah and Shadab has been selected as replacement his performance will be crucial as he will provide support to a 4 man pace attack he did get 10 wickets in practise game and can get some handy runs lower down the order good in the field still in experienced but has  a better googly than Yasir Shah. Seeing the team at the moment dont think now the young batsmen in SaadAli or Usman Salahuddin would get a go after Babar got runs they will play with 5 batsmen plus a wk batsman and 2 all rounders with 3 specialist bowlers. Rahat Alis form has been a worry as he hasnt played red ball cricket since a year he went wicketless and looked rusty would be ideal to give Hassan Ali a game as conditions would help him he can reverse the ball bowl at a good pace has variations and a good indipper and also has been Sarfrazs go to man in LOIs whenever they needed a wicket. Coming to the end of this i would say my prediction is 1-1  would be a challenging tour and Pakistan should look to play their best cricket and give a tough time to England.
